Bio

You JUST scrolled down!

Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another random themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

My top RP's on the Guild:

Young Justice 2020
Justice League Unlimited
Titans of Gotham
Champions of Engine City
Marvel Reborn
Legion of Superheroes Return [stat based]

Top Characters:

Ditto - Young Justice series
Bulleteer - Justice League Unlimited
Leviathan - Titans of Gotham
Fastlane - Champions of Engine City
the Thing II - Marvel Reborn
Ultra Boy II - Legion of Superheroes Return

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!

Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.

Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.

OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, the Rocketeer, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.

Sounds like the only possible way to improve upon Ben.

Well, they could just bring him back... LOL

The clone who died from degeneration that was supposed to be Ben could've just as well been another clone. Ben was supposed to be perfect and lack the necessary flaws needed to degenerate over time. @Rin I did enjoy bits and pieces from that Ultimate story. Making the Scorpion a Spidey clone was brilliant, and I enjoyed the six-armed black suited Tarantula.

Trying to get back on topic... I wish now I wouldn't have jumped on using the Crimson Avenger. He's a lot like the Green Hornet, which isn't a problem... but now I'm thinking I should've maybe done the Question or try and bring in some form of Rorschach. Still a vigilante in a fedora, just with more extreme methods...

In the comics more recently it was a color swapped Joker simply called the Jokester. In that animated movie that featured an altered take on the Crime Syndicate he was called Jester I think, but he also died the first five minutes into the movie...

~KL~
@Jinny Jester is just a character that could still be a bit of anything, however he was mentioned as being the leader of the Jokerz in the OP. I wasn't sure if one of the GM's already had plans set for the Jokerz and the Jester, but if not they play a big part in my guy's story and I'd still like to flesh out the gang's leader even if it's not for a secondary character spot. It's still a sandbox and anybody could use him... I just want to actually define who he is and what he's about. The only Jester from DC I can think of has ties to the Golden Age and more recently became a villain against the Freedom Fighters but I doubt it's the same guy...

Anybody got something in the works? Nobody's restricted by setting with several individual stories happening on different days of the month...

~KL~
Villains are off limits now even for secondary characters? @Ruby Can I have permission to flesh out the Jester character leading the Jokerz if nobody has any plans for him?

And @Rin the 90's X-Men cartoon is what made those mutants so popular with fans back then. Cool theme music, best voice ever for Wolverine, the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix Sagas, etc... it was all amazing. And for the record I LOVED the Clone Saga back then too with Spiderman and the introduction of Ben Rielly and Kane. When it ended the way it did and Marvel turned their back on the new fans they'd gained in favor of bringing back a status quo along with Norman Osborn let alone killing the 'perfect clone' in a way it was said he'd never die... I just gave up on Marvel for the better part of two decades. I've got the Madrox mini series, the retold Clone Saga mini they did for how it was *supposed* to end [with Ben still alive and on the road again as Scarlet Spider], and the Hickman run of Fantastic 4 that lead in Future Foundation which I also got the most of.

I thought about GM'ing another game, originally the idea was a Batman Inc. type game but I opted for this. The other idea was something with the X-Men...

Villains are the main reason I'm even in this fandom. I tend to like the Batfamily best out of DC's heroes, but that's still with backseating them to all the bad guys. XD I, personally, find them a lot more interesting.

On Marvel's side, I better like more of the heroes (particularly X-Men, and especially Nightcrawler, omg. <3).

But that seems to more or less be the consensus for both companies anyway. DC makes great villains, and Marvel makes better heroes.

If secondary characters happen I could see working something up for 'the Jester' unless the GM's have already made plans with the character. Gangs are the main thing I'm having Avenger take on more directly and I love the inclusion of the Jokerz in this RP. I found a really creepy image to use for inspiration as well...

10:42 PM, Midtown in Gotham...

"Who is the Jester?" Lee asked himself climbing and leaping down from a nearby fire escape in midtown sporting his fedora and mask.

"It's only been a couple days since Batman supposedly disappeared, and my underworld contacts say the Joker is dead. Now these Jokerz clowns are trying to pick up the pieces, but their actions seem more random. Makes sense with all of the masks in this town..." the Crimson Avenger continued to think as he touched down on the ground in an alley just around the corner from where a few criminals in clown make-up were gathered, "These stooges barely look house trained. Even with the dumb clothes, neither one of them could be the gang's leader. Okay, there's three of them. One could only weigh a buck fifty soaking wet, the averaged size guy's got a baseball bat, and the meathead looks pretty slow. Should be easy enough, just gotta remember to not knock one of them out so I can question him..."

"Evenin' boys. I'm looking for the top man on the totem pole..." Lee asked pulling one of his pistols.

"You're looking for an ass-beating, ain't nobody around here knows anything about totem poles..." said the guy with the bat charging at 'Avenger and taking a swing.

Lee managed to dodge the swing and caught the clown with his elbow striking him to the ground. The big guy came next and Lee simply shot him with gas pellets that quickly knocked him out. The little skinny guy took off down the alley.

"I want you to tell your boss about me..." Lee said grabbing the clown punk he smashed with his elbow up by his shirt.

"Who are you man... who are you..?" the clown asked.

"I'm the Crimson Avenger. Also known as your worst nightmare..." Lee responded with all the confidence he could muster.

The big dumb clown recovered a little quicker than expected and charged at the hero. Lee Travis dropped the clown in his grasp and pulled his pistol once more changing the clip. The first round in the non-lethal clip is a standard bullet. This round would find itself shot into the right kneecap of 'Meathead' and take him down. The gun fire had attracted the attention of the GCPD, and the Crimson Avenger ran up the alley and darted quickly up a fire escape. Lee pulled out a red burner phone that matched his wardrobe and called a wheelman, James Wing. Soon after, 'Avenger leaped and ran over rooftops in midtown eventually coming down in an alley where a familiar cab was parked. A young Asian American was behind the wheel and not as shocked as the average guy would be who's cab was taken by a vigilante hero.

"I appreciate you helping me get across town, James." Lee said removing his hat, mask, and coat in the backseat of the cab, "If my dad ever found out I was one of the masks in Gotham I'd never hear the end of it..."

"You saved my sister, so I kind of owe you. Just don't ever ask me to go Kato on somebody..." the young man replied.
