@ColouredCyan I was sort of a bit confused with your interest as you state at the start of your post that it is morning, even though the fight is taking place at 10:50PM. You're welcome to join in on the fight, or even show up at the end of it if we do finish it tonight, which I doubt we will as Jotunn has just gone off, but this was all really just meant to be a short fight so that Roland could meet new character and kick off his monarchy assassination plotline to be honest.

Her post is presumably on the same day as mine, which is the day after your post. So if she wants in on that fight her first post will have to be altered a bit or she'll have to use a flashback.

I wrote a bio in which I mentioned that she arrived 3 years ago and she initially looked monstrous and inhuman, what you described was not my character. If you wanted to write in my character like that you should have read my CS more carefully.

If you aren't interested in fighting the Sea Monster with Roland, you didn't hear what Imbricata ordered (she's an ass and does so without authority) into the comms. Both you and Stern have been notified that my character exists and that she's going to the beach and both methods give you and Stern the choice whether to respond at all and if you choose to, you still have room to respond how you see fit. I haven't moved your character, or my character, from the War-Room area.

Its pretty odd to be lectured about doing things with your character in the same post you're trying to persuade me to change my character, especially when I went to good lengths to leave it open.

Nobody was trying to persuade you into changing your character. The eyewitness reports are clearly just rumors seeing as how nearly every person described the creature in a different way. Nowhere in your CS was there a mention of STRIKE, just 'military had been dispatched' and nowhere did it say you had joined any such group. Add a part in your CS bio about what she's been doing since coming to Earth, because it still caught me off guard and needs to be explained in the Bio or the Notes sections. I didn't note the 3 year timeline since you arrived, but my CS mentioned STRIKE only having their New Athens HQ for 2 years. It's also not known by most of the STRIKE agents that there's a giant working for them or not. In the Storylines section of my CS "Rumors of a giant man in the ranks are finally put to rest when Gigas is tasked with being among the superhumans to take down Liberty Son / Darkstar."

Making your character a card carrying member of STRIKE was changing your character from what it was presented as in the CS, the news report in my last post was just a vague news report. You can call the creature Treefoot or whatever and go that route with your character going after it, but anything involving STRIKE needs to be run by me. To be clear, nobody's lecturing you about using my character or trying to make you change your character. Showing up in the scene I'd set up as a member of STRIKE and talking about getting a vehicle for Gigas was you changing your character as well as the scene and was completely out of left field without a mention anywhere. If you only run it by one person in the RP, it needs to be the GM. You even gave your character a smart phone! An alien having joined a government organization and possessing intelligence enough to work a smart phone are important details and should be noted somewhere!

@ColouredCyan Kinda caught me off guard with the whole 'being a card carrying member of STRIKE' right out of the gate. Gotta warn somebody before you go and change a scene. One of the rules actually...

..when I mentioned kinda leaving you an opening, I'd meant the plant person in the woods people claimed seeing on the news was likely you. I was under the impression Venus fell to Earth rather recently. Making the creature on the news a separate character is fine in a city of 15,000 superhumans, but I was gonna continue building up STRIKE as well as their superteam that'll be tasked with taking down Liberty Son/Darkstar. Now it's like your alien has higher clearance than my boy who's been with STRIKE for a little while now.

May 13th, 10:30 am...

At the mountain fortress of STRIKE tension was high. Reports were coming in about an electrical monster ripping up the Mercury Mall, several aliens recently touching down on Earth, as well as the news on the fallen hero Liberty Son whom the press has labeled 'Darkstar.' Jon waited in an area outside of STRIKE's War Room. The room was designed for Level 3 access members and above to train using holo-droids and artificial scenery to mimic any type of situation. The Channel 11 morning news program was on, and for New Athens it was more like TMZ mixed with a damage/weather report for the area based on superhuman activity. A girl with the ability to control the weather had been causing thunderstorms recently.

"..and in other news, reports have come in regarding a possible plant creature roaming the woodland areas of New Athens. Here's field correspondent Pepper Patterson..."

"Lee Heights usually sees it's fair share of superhumans just like the rest of the city. The residents near the woodland Lee Heights community are sure of it. What they're describing as 'walking plants' and 'a tree person' is roaming the woods.



"I don't know what it was in those woods. It looked like walking plants. Not just a single thing... but like.. several plants shaping into a larger one." said the first young woman on the program

"It looked like a walking tree. With a bunch more plants just kinda hanging off of it. Had some vines or something coming out of it's head too. Like that Predator movie only with plants..."

"Even the children are sure what they've seen is some kind of plant. This is Pepper Patterson reporting..."

A couple of hotshot gunmen finally came out of the War Room. Gigas stood up from his seat and stopped watching the news when it got into the 'Superhumans Gone Wild' segment about superhumans in public bars and clubs. It felt like he'd been sitting in that seat for hours, but the men only took around ten minutes. Had Jon been watching through the windows into the War Room, he'd have seen the two men run through something like a Halo video game mixed with a Rainbow Six game. It was only Jon's third time at the War Room. The giant stadium was deep underground, hollowed out of the caves and mines deep beneath the surface of the Appalachians in New Athens. As Gigas, Jon could cut loose.

"War Room: Load Evil Voltron STRIKE scenario. Local park setting." Jon instructed verbally to the room's controls.

"Park setting 80% complete." voiced the control panel as the large stadium area came to life with trees, rock formations protruding out of the ground, and at least a half dozen civilian skins taking shape on holo-droids of various sizes. At least one child sized droid was among them. Seven more holo-droids came out and were obviously the one's that were to be Jon's enemies in the War Room.



The seven holo-droids came out in the form of something akin to a kid's Saturday morning cartoon and Gigas went at them like they were common thugs for hire. They had average hand to hand skills, which was mostly the reason Gigas was training. Soon after they contorted and shaped into a much larger droid resembling this. Jon created a giant twelve feet tall duplicate that followed through by grabbing his smaller self and tossing it at their roughly fifteen feet tall mechanical adversary.
