Once upon a time, Sol was as helpless as the humans and non-powered alien species living in Metropolis in the year 3000. On the planet Daxam, none of Sol's people had superpowers due to their red sun. When Brainiac Five destroyed the planet, the panic and fear currently in downtown Metropolis could've been multiplied something like one thousand and twenty times on the planet Daxam. Sol was in school when it happened. He could only watch as his entire city burned from natural disasters caused by the robotic armies of Brainiac Five. The transport ship Sol's class tried escaping in was shot down before the members of the Legion stepped in and gave assistance. Several one man pods were ejected, and after witnessing heroes such as Ultra Boy and Mon El in action Sol had wished he could do more.

His ship was the only pod to make it's way into the Milky Way Galaxy of sector 2814. Some time after it was reported the Legion fell, Sol discovered his powers while trying to live a life on an alien planet. It was exceptionally difficult for the young man as he had never been around anything other than his fellow Daxamites. Xenophobic by nature, Sol was more accepting than his family and people. He adopted the name Ultra Boy more recently before being approached by Cosmic Boy with a ring two days ago.

Now, he's battling these metal plated robots. Ultra Boy landed two basic punches on the same tech squid that was defending the more humanoid robot minion. He bent the steel in his hands gripping the outer shell of the tech squid and flew into the air throwing it back down to the ground below him.

Ultra Boy: 15 hp
Tech Squid 1: 3 hp [-6 hp from three attacks by Sol]

The other tech squid was en route to Ferro Lad and Bolt who were both somewhat in awe at the two rookie heroes before them. Ferro Lad had been in the Legion for awhile, and Bolt was an officer on Ungara. These two kids from Daxam and Xudar were doing a good job and the crowd still around them who could see the battle were cheering this reborn Legion like a football team. Before they realized the other tech squid was on them, Ferro Lad and Bolt were both hit with life draining tendrils.

Ferro Lad: 16 hp [took -1 damage from Tech Squid 2]
Bolt: 10 hp [took -1 damage from Tech Squid 2]
Tech Squid 2: 13 hp

It appeared Momentum was focusing his efforts on the humanoid robot leader of this bunch so Ultra Boy flew down and grabbed Tech Squid 1 by the tendrils. Flying towards Bolt and Ferro Lad, Sol let out a scream...

"EVERYBODY SHIELD YOUR EYES!" he screamed before bursting with light in a solar flare.

Ultra Boy: 15 hp
Tech Squid 1: 0 hp [Ultra Boy's Sig is -4 hp, Squid 1 is DEFEATED]
Tech Squid 2: 9 [-4 hp, Ultra Boy's Sig is an area attack and can effect multiple enemies]

"You two just gonna stand there?" Ultra Boy asked of his teammates who had yet to get their hands dirty.

@Weird Tales Hopefully in another day or so this first group of enemies is taken down and we can move forward. I wanted to ease a few of you guys in at a time. You can still RP from the HQ, get to know your teammates, etc. I'm personally gonna dive into my guy's backstory before Daxam was destroyed and the Legion was crippled...

Ferro Lad, Momentum, and Bolt had already answered the call to go and check things out. Bulk Lad was making his way towards the kitchen and some of the team may have been out in the city already. Metropolis was a sight to see even in the 21st century, but in the year 3000 it looked like something out of a Star Wars film. The Daily Planet was one of the more recognizable spots in the city with the giant globe on top of the building. LexCorp Tower was still in Midtown with the latest heir in the line of Luthors in charge. Lorelei Luthor seemed sweet, but she was more than the character she portrayed when surrounded by news and media photographers. Sol was in his personal quarters in the Queensland Park HQ. The building was an odd shape, like several buildings of this day and age. The call came over the intercom and the young Daxamite could feel himself shaking. He'd been on the streets now for weeks calling himself the new Ultra Boy, but Rokk gave him a uniform. Yellow and black with a glowing symbol similar to the original Ultra Boy's gear. He was nervous, but he was ready. Sol had been under the rays of the planet Earth's yellow sun for several weeks and was juiced and ready to go get a piece of the action.

"I'm game, techno-squids huh?" he asked now wearing his suit.

Moments later...

Ferro Lad, Bolt, and Ultra Boy all chose to fly to the scene whereas Momentum took a quick run and showed up just a minute or two ahead of the rest of the group. There were two of the 'techno squids' [Squid - 1, and Squid - 2] as well as a robotic humanoid minion seemingly overseeing them [Minion -1].

"I'll take the ring leader!" yelled Ultra Boy flying towards the enemies. He got a few shots in on the Minion before Tech Squid -1 whipped him with a tendril at least twice.

Ultra Boy: 14 hp [-2 from the 2 whips from the squid-1]
Minion-1: 12 hp [-6 from the 3 basic punches from Ultra Boy]
Tech Squid-1: 13 [no damage taken]

"Oh I got something for you too Squidface..." yelled Sol blasting the robot creature with heat vision.

Ultra Boy: 14 hp
Minion-1: 12 hp
Tech Squid-1: 11 hp [-2 from Sol's heat vision]

The other tech squid [#2!] attempted to get the young hero with an electric shock from it's tendril, however the hero dodged the attack.

Ultra Boy: 15 hp [used 1 of 4 defense moves this level to regain +1 health]
Minion-1: 12 hp
Tech Squid-1: 11 hp
Tech Squid-2: 13 hp [no damage taken]

I'll get to reading the posts when I get home from work i about 6 hours. My internet went nuts right around the time I was actually trying to do something so I hit the sack early [I stream tv so my tv was out too].

Speed effects how many attacks you can make per post. As far as getting health back, when you choose to block an attack you get health back depending on your speed. If you're 1-5 stat points in speed it's +1 Health returns, if your speed is 6-10 its +2 health returns.

I didn't put any actual number of enemies out there so I'm hoping you guys didn't go too nuts. I'll see what the IC looks like in a few hours, gotta jet out the door for work now...

If four of us go into it the rest can post out of battle from HQ, getting to know one another, etc. Four players on one or two enemies won't take long at all.
