So much was going on. He had to remind himself that he was the one who caused all of this. His eyes caught a young woman a ways away who seemed thoroughly shaken, forcing a frown upon Dak's face. He felt bad, at least for that, if nothing else. Dak stood seemingly still as everything happened around him, even when Lucien fired a bolt off at Tarrok who yelped just before collapsing to the ground. The young man grit his teeth and corner eyed the man who shot his
dog. As much as he wanted to be mad at him, he didn't blame him for what he did, and understood it had to be done. As the captain turned on him and came into full-view, Dak's eyebrow raised slightly as he gave her a single look-over. Dak gave Tarrok a glance, and then Brin one too before he turned his attention back to the woman, sighing heavily as he slowly raised his arm up to show his commlink, very slowly reaching his other hand over, he began typing away. During this time, Brin had managed to speak up. She was talking directly to the captain. Apparently it wasn't the first time they'd met. Figures. Brin was good at picking out the pretty ones from the crowd. It wasn't until Brin gave Dak a pointed look that he came to a full stop in his typing, rereading over what he'd already managed to type out, then looking back up at her to hear what else she had to say. Nothing about him whatsoever. She wasn't going to vouch for him, at all. If he'd been gritting his teeth any harder they might've busted. He understood. He pulled a dumbass move, and they only did one job together. It's not like they were
truly friends. His attachment to her was clearly one-sided. Dak wiped the previous message he wrote out and began typing a new one. Once he was finished with the message, he activated speech-to-text and brought his eyes to Solace's, watching her as his commlink spoke for him.

With that, the young man knelt down on one knee and bowed his head, waiting for his sentence. He had nothing to lose, essentially.
