It's no problem! Liking your character so far, what help do you need for the background?
The Journey Begins

~ Dawn ~

"They went where?"

Nick just saw them a while ago! How could they have already gone? They sure were fast. Nick was told they went into the forest and towards 'Kyrnith's Grove'. He could hazard a guess as to what they would be doing there. Nick wondered if he should go get Donovan for this, but decided to head off on his own. He just needed to find those two girls, right? Surely he would not encounter anything untoward in the forest so long as he didn't go looking for it, right?

He thanked Haruno, especially for telling him the easiest path there, before quickly making his way to the forest. Hold on, if those two were meeting with Kyrnith, then this could be his chance to meet the deer god himself. The thought made him hesitate. Oh man, what was he gonna say? Does he ask the deity his questions first? Will it even entertain him? Or flat-out just smite him on the spot? Oof, that one sent shivers down the spine.

No, no, Nick told himself to stop worrying about it. He should meet with this Kyrnith before deciding what to do next. Nick approached the forest line and took a gulp of air. He was no trekker of woods, but he did escape from that prison-ruins place and had some success against those evil gooey creatures. He also had directions, so what was he really worried about? A lot, in fact, but Nick put those thoughts down and entered the domain of Kyrnith to search for the grove as well as those two 'Chagawan' girls.

It had been a week since the incident with the princess, the Nem sisters, the necromancers and the Damon Cal. Little was gleamed from the prisoner about the conspiracy and the trail ended there.

But the Iron Roses would not have a chance to rest, many of their number were deployed as extra security to the castle and the royal family. The rest, meanwhile, would be called to action not long after. A messenger from Fort Daelantine arrived, dying as soon as he came, clutching in his hand a hastily-scrawled note calling for the Iron Rose Knights to come to the fort's aid. Fanilly selected a group of the remaining knights and quickly ventured out to Fort Daelantine.

Jarde was among them. In all honesty, he felt this was some sort of trap for the Iron Roses. One fell swoop to wipe out a number of their order in order to weaken them enough for a more decisive strike. As to who or why? Well, Jarde had not thought it that far. There was too few information to go on, after all. The only way to resolve that was to investigate Fort Daelantine itself, and maybe spring the trap should there be one.

"As we have little other information, we must proceed with caution."
Fanilly Danbalion

"We're not close enough to tell what happened. If there has been a hostile takeover, storming the gates is going to be pain, even with the help of Lady Radistirin or a mage... Captain, permission to scout ahead? If I take to the tall grass, I ought to be able to slip close undetected."
Maritza Verenna

"Allow me to accompany Lady Verenna, Captain." Jarde trotted his horse over. "As you know, scouting is my thing and dare I say, I have a much more... conspicuous form than Madam Maritza here. Err, no offense."
Hey all! Gonna say this early that this week's update will be postponed 'cause I'm really super busy.

Sorry for the delay.

Nick listened to the conversation. Donovan revealed the details of the village's peril, something about Dawn and the surrounding forest going under the waves because of the God Of Knowledge looking for what was buried beneath the sea, courtesy of Delpithi and Rifelshka, Goddesses of the Oceans and the Underworld respectively. The deities apparently hid some pretty nasty stuff taken from monsters that once plagued the land. Oh man, this was larger than Nick expected.

Someone named Lazhira had taken a group to investigate the dangerous old temple while 'the pair from Chagawa' were interested in helping. Nick guessed that the pair would be the two outsiders that Haruno pointed out to them earlier. Him and Donovan should probably go see them then. Lady Mie, the trader Haruno was working for, appeared to be just that, a trader although she might have stuff that Nick and Donovan could use.

The last gesture from Lord Enli was handing the duo a small leather pouch of gold coins. Likely to purchase equipment from someone named Bolcha who made armaments. "Alright, then. Thanks, Lord Enli. And uhhh, pray for us, will ya?"

After Nick and Donovan left the longhouse, the former was quick to speak. "Alright, Don. I'll go look for the 'Chagawan pair'..." Nick made air quotes. "...and see what they know while you go buy us some armor or something. Maybe also see what this Bolcha guy knows about the situation, yeah?"

If there were no objections to Nick's plan, he would go look for the pair in the village. Should he find Haruno again, he would ask her where they went.
Keeping It Real 2
~@13org (ADA), @Restalaan (DIT), @AzureKnight (NAG)~

"Simple plan! Ditzy will go up to bridge and challenge them! Lizardman always answer challenge, so just need to beat them up and win!"
Ditzy Stoneclub

“Um, Sir Reed, I know this may sound dangerous, but perhaps Ada and I should handle this first. Since we’re fellow monsters, they may be more inclined to speak with us for a moment. Perhaps if we give the impression that we want to join their group, they may take us back to their camp and allow us to find out where the kidnapped people are. If Ada and I go together, we can keep each other safe. Of course if things don’t go according to plan, you and Ditzy-kun can be our backup.”
Nagare

"You know what, Miss Nagare? That's a really great idea. So great, that we're going to go with that immediately. You hear that, Ada? Please go with Nagare and negotiate something with the warrior monsters before they all decide to pound us to next Tuesday." Sir Reed looked fearful of the incoming caravan, likely intimidated by the group of monsters that could likely beat him thrice over. "Me and Ditzy will hang back and come to your help if things go sideways... Please don't make things go sideways."

With that plan in mind, the four guild members greeted the monster caravan at the bridge. Nagare stood at the forefront with Ada beside her. Ditzy and Reed stood behind them, not too far back. Meanwhile the caravan quickly noticed the four-man blockade on the bridge. They all looked confused at first before they sent their representative: An Ogre, one that was taller than Nagare by one head.

She was typical of her species: Light green-skinned, a pair of sharp horns on her head, pointed ears, long but unkempt silver hair, tattoos, barely dressed in her rags that showed off her bare muscles. She literally looked down on Nagare and spoke. "Nice motley crew you got there, ice dragon. Don't even know what kinda lizard girl you've got there." She referred to Ada.

"So then, do you have business with us or are y'all here to gawk at us?"

The Great Horizons 3

"Umm... Excuse me? Who might you be? Are you... lost?"
Freyr

The small greeting elicited a rather disproportionate reaction. "W-Why the shouting?! Why the dancing? Why the laughter?" The man quickly got up and haphazardly hurled his stick at you and Haley. It was so inaccurate that to move to dodge it would just insult the evasive maneuver. "I-I hope I die laughing, I do." He babbled to the couple.

Haley was perplexed but quickly realized what was happening. "...Man's lost it, Freyr."

"M-My great grandfather was a- was wise man! H-He came from the East... West? He-he f-followed a star! That's still me. I'm still following! Still Sam Cabbage-- Cubbage. Still dreaming about Boreal Port. S-Still free!" He tried to explain to you and Haley but he was delirious, his thoughts were all over the place. "Y-You can't just-- We are above! We are civilized men! N-Not like monkeys. We are free!"

"Psst, Freyr. What do we do about this guy?" Haley whispered.

Help, Wanted 2
~@AzureKnight (VRA)~

“Sir, enough of your nonsense! Know that you stand in the presence of nobility! You should be grateful that someone of my standing even bothered to accept your request. Now tell us who it is we are supposed to be apprehending. The document stated that there was an evil doer who needed to be subdued?”
Vară Riemsianne

"Alright, alright. Now listen to this..." Ian huddled close to you and Neil and began whispering. "There's been a break-in at the mayor's treasury recently and made off with quite the huge haul. The remaining money has been moved somewhere else safe so that the treasury could be investigated. But here's the thing, I was hired to safeguard the wealth 'cause the town guard's short on manpower. Thus, it's my responsibility to bring back the stolen wealth or at least, bring the thief to justice so that this doesn't happen again."

Ian then led the duo to the town hall, which had more guards patrolling than usual due to the robbery. As the treasury guard, Ian was duly let in alongside you and Neil. He then showed them the treasury room, a large room devoid of anything save for an unlit chandelier on the ceiling and some very small windows high up on the walls to let in sunlight.

"The town money's usually separated into chests and boxes. Each containing a set amount of gold coins for better organization. As the treasury guard, I patrol this room most of the day and have the sole copy to the lock of this room." Ian explained, showing off his silver key that would unlock the steel door of the treasury room. "Unfortunately, I'm not really good at detective stuff so that's why I hired you guys."

Neil breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank God. I thought this quest was gonna involve fighting. I mean, it might... but most likely we're just dealing with thieves. We even have the town guard as backup."

"You two can investigate the room, find anything I missed, or you can talk to the witnesses who caught a glimpse of the break-in. It happened in the dead of night, by the way so there's only a few of them."

Uninvited Guests
~@Stern Algorithm~

The Altissima sisters have elected to stay at the guild in order to prepare some special cookies for their fellow guildmates. However, everyone including Bart had left for their quests or personal errands, leaving the Liliraune alone in the Guild headquarters.

They would expect the place to be quiet save for themselves yet as they approached the kitchen, they would hear noises of drawers opening and the minor clanging of utensils and other sounds of ransacking. Thieves and robbers, perhaps? Believing the Guild to be deserted? The sisters could hear voices from the kitchen should they press their ears against the closed doors.

"Man, they've got a lot of food in here!"

"Yeah, yeah! They're all so yummy!"

"Hey, hey! Why don't we snag us a man while we're here?"

"That's a good idea! ...Which one, though? The redhead guy?"

"Nah, nah. There's something off about him... What about the knight guy?"

"He feels like he's already in love with someone though... Ah, I know! Let's just take the plain guy!"

"Yeah, yeah! Plain boy is perfect!"

The voices were female, and sounded very young. Like teenagers giggling about gossip. The door was a bit ajar, allowing the Altissima sisters to get a peek within the invaded kitchen. They would see a couple of figures, none of whom bode well for the lone Liliraune. They could see a fair-skinned girl with insect features about her, particularly a cockroach with their black-brown wings and appendages; a Devil Bug. The other girl they could see had the ears and the tail of a mouse; clearly a Large Mouse.

Neither of these monster species usually came alone. Who knows how much more of them were in the kitchen, let alone the Guild?
Hey guys! I've been real busy with other projects for the past few days so I'll need to postpone the update to next week and give y'all more time to post.

Really sorry!

“Locally, we know him as Iva’Krorh, the God of Knowledge. He illuminates ones path towards secrets, and gifted humans the first spark of knowledge and motivation to...create. ...Truthfully, though, people forget his domain isn’t simply knowledge, but the mind itself. When we say ‘knowledge’ we truly mean he’s the one that allowed us to think and understand the world around us, and the right to revoke such knowledge as well - but the cost of doing so was said to have driven him mad.”
Lord Enli

Enli explained who the God of Knowledge by taking a scroll and laying out the parchment for Nick and Donovan to see. The latter probably already knew him, but Nick could definitely use the pointers as this was the third god he'd known in this world so far. However, Nick was confused at the drawings on the scroll. Was Iva'Krorh the old man or the grandma in the cloak? Maybe they were the same person? Nick kept the questions to himself for now and allowed Enli to continue.

"I truly do not know what is happening in Dawn. Only that things aren't...right and things are outside of my control aside from keeping the people safe..."
Lord Enli

"Bummer. But thanks, anyway." Nick searched his head for anything else to ask the village leader. He then snapped his fingers when he remembered. "Oh! There's been other outsiders that came to this village, right? Mind telling us where they are? Are they working on this problem too?"

"And I've heard that there's a Lady Mie hanging around here? What's up with her?"
@LiverisGood

"Who are you and how did you find us? Why do you want to help us?"
Medivac

"I know this land well, outsiders. I know this forest, and this forest knows me. Know me as the Soothsayer. I warn of the gnawing evil of this land, but the Cursed Rock knows this and so, keeps me here until it finally steals my last breath." The stranger replied to Medivac. "I give you my aid for it is my sworn duty to save the innocent and the ignorant and combat this land's ravenous hunger. Every life it consumes makes this world more miserable... and its power grows."

"He sounds like a madman." Wu remarked.

"But the advice he gives might be useful." Ibon added.

"Heed my words, outsiders! The Miasma that protects the village is absent here. Without that barrier, the forest will unleash its fury upon you each night that you stay here." The Soothsayer proclaimed. "You must fortify this dilapidated abode, for the forest's minions will make their assault until they overcome you. It might seem easy at first, but that is only because the forest is only testing your strength. Once it has known you, you will all be doomed."

"We don't plan on staying here in the first place." Wu replied.

"Then do not tarry. Complete your tasks, and escape this dark land while you still can." The Soothsayer then retreated back into the woods, disappearing completely.

Blizzard was left panting, turning around to look at the other Operators as sense came back to her. "Well that was... something. I'm glad you two are alright." Blizzard told Wu and Ibon before glancing at Radiant and Medivac. "Who are these two? Are they part of the other teams?"

"Kyrnith, tha Elder beast, not ah god."
Donovan MacConaill

"...What difference does that make?" Nick replied to Donovan's correction.

Lord Enli seemed shocked to hear that Nick and Donovan met with Kyrnith. Sounds like this deer go-- Elder Beast was more important in this story than he seemed although, Nick failed to mention that only Donovan managed to meet with the deity. Nick was only going off of what Donovan had told him about the matter. Then there's the matter with someone called 'The Illuminator'. "Illuminator? Wait, who's 'The Illuminator'? Is it one of Kermit's other names? Are we involved in a god-on-god fight?"

“If you wish to help, then maybe you should start with that old temple in the forest. Some other travelers already agreed to help, so perhaps it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to get their help. An odd Bastelian, a black haired girl and Kitsune from Chagawa. Quite a few to be honest.”
Lord Enli

"Hmm, I don't think they are what you think they are, my dude." Nick said to Enli before turning to Donovan. "Looks like some other people's working on this already. Are we still gonna go help? I mean, I don't wanna attend a show that's already over. You get what I'm saying?"
