Erika watched events unfold with wide-eyed shock, stunned that Vivia was secretly savage underneath that cute little lab assistant routine. It was such a bewildering spectacle that Erika hadn't even noticed that Claire had finished her fight, walked over and said she was moving on. Erika snapped to, just in time to see Claire walking away to which Erika hollered to her friend, "Okay Claire! I'll catch up when I can!", waving briefly before bringing her attention back to Vivia.

Admittingly, Erika felt a bit timid after just watching Vivia punt a Rotom-possessed washing machine across some buildings. "R-right. Oh-okay then!" Erika replied to Vivia's earnest request, feeling a bit shaken still, but she was starting to feel encouraged as she heard her mother's voice instructing her from within her head. First thing mother had always said is immediately pay attention to what Pokemon her opponent is using and the corresponding type. It was paramount to find an exploitable weakness in a fight and thankfully, Pokemon typing had made that search essentially elementary.

Erika's eyes dropped from Vivia to her Venonat. This one was easy, Bug-typing for sure, which meant that Sno had the advantage here. Especially considering... "Alright Sno, let's do this. Powder snow, quick!". An Ice-type is the perfect counter to a Bug-type.

Sno was quick to respond to Erika's command and leapt up, unnecessarily, to release a flurry of snow from it's sort of coat it had.

@PirouetteWhat is Mi's current opinion on Itsuki? I know there meeting was less than ideal, but I'm curious.

There isn't much due to Mi's other side being fully in control. As far as Mi knows, she fought him and that's about it. Of course, my prediction, is that she won't like him too much if he immediately threatens her at first sight. She'll understand but she won't like being blamed for something she can't really control.

Unfortunately takumi is kind of dense/a prude so you'll have to forgive him and maybe a bit yandere when you get down to it? He does get attached easily...

Also it's funny you say that because debatably Takumi has the most secrets out of the entire cast :x

But anywhoozles, we should see how things hash out in the IC before we get too hasty and start thinking of shippy headcanons

Mhm, mhm. We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves as anything could happen. Mi could end up getting Stockholm Syndrome and like Asoka's abusiveness or something. Ya never know.

This whole thing probably started as a joke, but I was doing some thinking at work...

And from a meta perspective, a Takumi and Miyako pairing (platonic or otherwise) would be really interesting? Like, they're really really similar except for a few crucial differences that make all the difference, and I didn't even intend for it to be like that (I actually had it in mind that he be a foil for Itsuki of all people) but I feel like it'd be really neat to see how that's put into practice in their interactions

Well okay, truth time. I was half-serious and gauging your reaction.

I was actually thinking that Mi would get a little attached to Takumi because let's face it, he is probably the most genuine and genuinely nice Ghoul there is. Everyone always seems to have a secret agenda of some sort but Takumi, he actually meant to avoid conflict and care for Mi on first encounter, according to what I read anyway. So if Mi realizes that and if Takumi is a complete unintentional sweetheart, which it seems like he will be, Mi will probably fall for him.

It might be so cliche but it is a possible silver lining for a pretty apparently shitty world.
