That particular computer (out of the five I use regularly depending on my location) has "paste" bound to pressing down the scroll-wheel on the mouse, so sometimes when I just casually scroll it randomly pastes whatever I copied last at random places I just clicked. When I was copying in my template for capture for the Pikachu Erika just caught, that must have gotten in, and of course I don't spell-check others already done part when I was just editing that into Erika's part. I should look into fixing that.

_{For sake of convenience,} Amelia finds one of those places with washing-machines and dry-cleaners and heated rooms to hang clothing in for small amounts of money. In a place where people live on top of water, there is no way everyone has room for such in their apartments, after all. Some might even hang their things between the buildings the old-fashioned way, but heh.

‘Trubbish!’ Trubbish seemed happy to be allowed to walk on his own, walking about looking around curiously as they headed on.

Then... at the door.

Martin pulled the one keycard he had. A green light lit up, a confirming sound echoed out into the nearby cavern, and the door opened. The inside was square, lit by a bright white light with white walls… It’s an elevator. There were buttons on the right, with text describing the options and lights marking their availability.

‘T-Trubbi…’ Trubbish looked uncomfortable, looking up at Martin with slight worry and then looking into the white elevator, seemingly hiding from the elevator behind Martin’s legs…

All at once, Knight suddenly felt Kaze’s attack on her armor. Countless slices that all appeared at the exact same time, and Knight got a terrible premunition that if there was ever a time when her walls would fall from too much firepower, she now had an opponent with an infinite amount of slices to do it with… but she held. And, in turn, she carried on and slammed into the cage. There, that should do it. Then, Knight simply had to grab and restrain-

Kaze fell, Knight missed her desperate grab. Damn. Lifting herself like this without most of her senses, Knight wasn’t even sure which direction was down. With hopes that Zabaniya was not attacking right now, Knight spun about in air and opened tiny holes around her eyes in the armor. They provided extremely limited vision, like looking through a clenched fist opened so just the slightest hole is visible, but quite a few of those provided at least acceptable vision. Still greatly limited vision, but certainly better than none and hopefully Black Kaze couldn’t strike through. Knight knew Zabaniya could, and then her eyes would be in danger. A quick glance confirmed that Zabaniya was focusing on the smoke and Kaze was glaring straight back at her, and Knight heard her words.

… Good! Focus on me! I’m the one you can never beat, Black Kaze!

… Which wasn’t entirely true, but it helped to think like that. Now, there was the fact that Knight could probably never catch Black Kaze due to teleportation, but she could hold her attention.

Knight nodded to Black Kaze, before sending herself thundering down at her opponent, sword raised and swinging down to strike. In case of teleportation Knight intended on simply spinning to see where she had gone through the tiny holes, and hopefully Black Kaze would be unable to harm her through the armor, before taking off to pursue Kaze again. Keep her occupied. Not let her rest. Not allow her to target the others. And, if she ever managed to get another hit in, it was time to make an attempt to restrain her with Knight’s power, probably at the expense of her armor, but losing her armor to eliminate one of the most wanted criminals in the world? Worth it. So worth it. She could only hope Ifrit and Gamble were doing fine, too…

So, Alexander was back quicker than expected. Very well then. Mariette handled those portals as needed to ensure he came back.

Alicia would probably note that Mariette’s clothing had been considerably damaged since last time they saw one another, which wasn’t that long ago. Multiple parts of it was ripped due to debris that had fallen onto her, parts of her arms were somewhat bruised, and the remnants of dirt and dust were over her dark clothes. Something had clearly happened to her in that short span of time.

Mariette had a mental sigh on Alicia’s method of introducing her.

‘I feel I need to reaffirm. Justine and I were never on the same side. Our goals would never align, our cooperation was one of mutual benefit that would inevitably lead to conflict. If you’d like proof of that, I believe Alexander could serve. I gave him and Lily a warning of the impending threat as soon as she contacted me, with intention of preparing for things to come.’ … Now, whatever they did with said warning was a bit beyond her, but she had given it.

‘I haven’t recruited anyone, I simply joined this group that were already intending on going on this quest. However, that said, there are plans for going on a recruitment spree, using my portals and Eli’s notes to recruit as many as possible for this attack…’ Mariette said, looking over towards Eli, Sue, Anaya and Scout.

‘Okay. Prioritizing hero mentalities, those who can’t say no and those who’d love a big fight, then,’ Eli confirmed, nodding to Sue’s words as she leafed through her notes too fast for Sue to actually properly read. Each individual had crosses or check marks, however. She put small “v”s on numerous individuals, those Eli herself thought were good options to attempt to recruit. … So none of those she marked with “v”s were such with check marks. _{since you can’t recruit those who were kidnapped}

‘Alright, who’s heading out? I can be here to suggest targets, Mariette can send us to them, but then it’ll be up to you to convince them of our cause and send them back here, where someone should be welcoming them and briefing them…’ So Eli commented, looking to those present.

Meanwhile, Mariette turned towards Alicia. ‘I have need of that phone, so I can communicate with those who wants portals. Did you get one?’
