‘Team Amethyst…’ Dunstan sighed at what Dawkin said, but nodded. ‘It does, albeit I don’t know what exactly to do about it. Thank you, for bringing this to my attention…’
And then Claire had come at some point. During the journey here, she’d found that Cathia isn’t actually very talkative unless she has something to say, and during the trip she didn’t have a lot to say, so she mostly just looked curiously at Claire and responded to what she was told. She was pretty amazed at the Uxie Pokémon dex entry, however.
When they arrived. To Dawkin, Claire just arrived with Cathia, the same trainer of Jacques that had previously barred the way out of Wet Caverns some time back, that he and Martin had fought together.
‘I’m-’ Cathia suddenly stopped short when Dunstan looked over towards Claire and Cathia as they came in.
‘I’m honored to meet you. Okay, so. I invaded the Team Amethyst base here, and found their research,’ she said, holding forth the papers she’d procured. Dunstan snapped up the papers and started reading intently. ‘They were stealing ancient Pokémon, in order to find the cells of the immortal Pokémon among those that may have been blessed by it in the past… and they succeeded. They found the cells of the lifegiving Pokémon, and they’re sending multiple packages to Bigfjord City as we speak. Unfortunately, it doesn’t say what they’ll be used for…’ Cathia responded.
‘I…’ Dunstan looked a bit stunned, and slumped down in one of his chairs. ‘I see. That… that makes sense. However, how the blazes did they know to look for the cells in ancient Pokémon!?’ Dunstan asked, looking quite upset at this. He picked up the vial of blue cells. ‘Well, thanks to Dawkin, we have one of the deliveries right here. But apparently, there was more than one…’
‘Right. Usually, we’d send the Pokémon League’s trainers to root out our foes and stop whatever plan they have… but unfortunately, whenever we do that it’s like Amethyst knows we’re coming. Even when we’re trying to send our best trainers undercover, even when we do it in secrecy, it’s like they know. Our only other option is…’ Dunstan took a moment, then looked towards Dawkin, Claire, and Cathia. He had an odd look in his eyes.
‘Well. I could say… Welcome to the unofficial HQ of people trying to stop what’s going wrong in Isson. If you ever learn something that you want to share with those who fight for a better world, this should be a safe place to do so.’ As in, the GM says this is a safe place.
‘It’s clear these people have interest in doing stuff with Legendary Pokémon, since they shattered Zygarde. We already put you on that,’ he nodded to Dawkin, but now looked at Claire and Cathia. ‘Zygarde is the Legendary Pokémon that normally responds whenever someone tries to mess with nature. He usually resides in the Desert Mines, but not anymore. Seeing how someone had the foresight shatter Zygarde into small clumps of cells, we know they’re likely doing something Zygarde would respond to. We do have the ability to put him back together, but if we do so without foresight of our own they might just come back and do it again,’ Dunstan slumped his shoulders a bit.
‘I… actually already know where a lot of the Legendary Pokémon are. I have trainers I trust guarding their locations… Now, excuse me while I don’t disclose their locations to you immediately… but know that, in the case someone does strike, I am as prepared as I can be. Albeit they seem to always be a step ahead. Can I randomly call you in case one of these places is suddenly under attack? It’d possibly help,’ Dunstan asked something that could potentially be very important later.
‘As for the current situation… I really can’t ask this of you, but… Would you go to Bigfjord City and see if you can find what’s going on? I, and any of the strong trainers I know, would probably be recognized immediately. You are new, and might stand a better chance slipping in unnoticed…’ He looked up at the ceiling. ‘… Though, maybe you want to grow a bit stronger first. Just, you know, a little bit. I get this strange feeling they won’t be ready for a while.’
as in, the plot will wait for you ‘I… I just wish she was here… where could she have gone…?’ ‘Of course, you don’t have to do this.’ After muttering something under his breath, Dunstan immediately turned to you three again. ‘You don’t owe us anything. Frankly, it’s kind of dumb that I, an adult, is asking this of kids. That said, I am out of options… What do you say?’
So, that was that. Now, Cathia will answer, but maybe you guys want to do so first. Feels more appropriate that way.
And, of course, you could leave after that, or maybe you have more questions.
Raremine Town
no cat-eared girls here, sorry
Raremine Town is a moderately large, bright town on the edge of the only desert in Isson. By some twist, the largest mineral deposits in the land is located right under the desert, making it an attractive place to build mines. From that, Raremine Town naturally sprung into being as a merchant town on the edge of habitability from where the mineral could then be delivered to the rest of Isson. The temperature is hot, sun blazing down on this land where plains slowly become desert, the atmosphere dry and unfriendly… yet, life and trees blossoms among the buildings of Raremine Town.
The ground is still the grass from the Vast Plains, with buildings on top of them. The modern houses stand tall with plenty of architectural skill put into them, tools for building and living sold inside the houses. Everywhere, one can see workers walking about, but they’re happy workers, with their families living close at hand in the town and with the finest equipment available. Oh, and of course, plenty of Pokémon that assist with the finding of ores and such! The trees, which appear to have been planted and grown all over town by the residents themselves, gives plenty of homes for local Pokémon to live.
Overall, it’s busy, with people walking and talking all over, an active town indeed.
1. Find Pokémon. Can still search for Pokémon in cities~ 2. Talk. In cities, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Talking can give you info on local rumors and such. 3. Exit. Exit the town to any of the connected areas. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Places. Visit any of the places in the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things. 6.3. Pokémon Gym. Minor League Gym. 6.4. Freecape Ferrymen Office. Fly you to any settlement you’ve already been for 500P! 6.5. Desert Miner’s Hangout. The workers of the Desert Mine live around here. They can give tips about the desert! 6.6. Research Lab. For archaeologists, those who want to talk to Dunstan and those who want to resurrect fossils. 6.7. Stone Store. Where all the stones of the Desert Mines or Frozen Cave eventually end up! Lots of evolutionary and other kinds of stones! 6.8. Bug Garden. A garden within which bugs thrive. Vivillons can be hired here for tracking down the Mythic Oasis! 6.9. Warehouses. Because the things they mine here needs somewhere to be stored. This includes Ancient Pokémon, apparently, as some of the warehouses are pens. 6.10. Team Amethyst Base. Claire had been there once, she could find it again. 7. Familiar Faces: Vivia, Skylar. Vivia, one of Jacques’ trainers, is walking around window-shopping rare rocks and such. Skylar is… well, read the first section of this post. 8: Raremine Town Trades: Ground-type 8.1. ‘Hey, do you have a Burmy? Would you like to trade it for my Mudbray?’ 8.2. ‘Hi, I really like snakes, so I got two of these Silicobras. I could trade you one for an Ekans!’ 8.3. ‘This is a Toedscool. I thought it looked funny, so I bought it, but… I’d much rather have an Abra.’
Connected areas: Route 6. The Vast Plains open up to the north of Raremine. The shorter paths lead to Route 8 and 16, while west far enough leads to Lakewatch Town. Route 7. The single rocky desert of Isson, it connects to the Desert Mines, the Old Tombs and to the Mythic Oasis.
Skylar dropped down from the second floor and landed onto the ground floor in front of Type: Null. Of course he was decently fine, he’s a Pokémon Protagonist. Really, it is quite shocking how resilient his kind is.
Regardless, he landed ready to do combat with his multiple Pokémon. He made his little speech…
‘What the-’ the male grunt stumbled a bit as the new adversary showed up. ‘How’d you find us!? How’d you get in here!? Eh, doesn’t matter! Excadrill! At him!’
Excadrill is taking a nap!
‘DARN IT!’
‘You’re pretty confident, taking on Team Amethyst on your own…’ the female grunt glared at him, quite intent and not looking like she was about to back down. ‘We’ll see how well that confidence holds up to- BEHIND YOU!’ the grunt’s look and demeanor suddenly completely changed to panic at a realization of what she saw and pointed, as useless as that might be.
That warning might have just spared Skylar from a sudden strike, because Type: Null needed a bit more than that to be convinced. It fully expected Skylar to, just like those before him, to be nice for now and then just use him for war as everyone else, without actually caring. So it attempted to strike at him with its helmet, swinging its head and giant helmet from behind him.
Regardless of how that went…
‘Wow, that thing’s a monster!’ the female grunt called. ‘Alright, that’s it, we gotta get it. ATTACK! Both of you, ANCIENT POWER THE LEAF-THING!’
‘Er, Mankey, Leer! Vulpix, Ember the same thing!’
And so they did, Archen and Tirtouga sending a wave of flying rocks at Paradise (though neither of them got the omni-boost), joined by Vulpix’s burst of fire, while Mankey Leered at anyone who would look its way.
Now Skylar had to both brace for the attack on him by Type: Null… AND the attack by the Team Amethyst members. How would he and his Pokémon handle this?
Type: Null glared angrily. It figured that, even this trainer, probably just wanted to use him for something. Now that he’d shown his anger towards him, he’d change how he acted towards him, Type: Null figured…
The Magikarp showed no signs of resistance whatsoever as Basil took out a Pokéball and tapped the fish into it. The ball shook once, twice, thrice.

With that, Basil ordered one ticket to Lakewatch Town for 750P, and he was soon away. The ferry was a decently sized vessel, notably it was reinforced with steel plates underneath. There was a large area where passengers could walk around and look out over the waters of the lake, and sure enough, there was a decent subset of people whom Basil could ask about their destination.
‘You know Dragon Lake we’re currently on? The Lake’s still growing. Lakewatch is currently on water because Dragon Lake is growing. Highhill Town didn’t use to be by the lakeside. I wonder why that is? Sure, there’s the eternal rain of Route 3… but could there be another reason?’ ‘You know, not a lot of people go to Lakewatch Town! Most that go to Raremine Town does so by Route 8, not 6, because Route 6 is so dangerous, and those who go to Pureplain City obviously would rather go over Route 1 than Wet Caverns. That makes Lakewatch Town a town of Pokémon Trainers! You can go to the Explorer’s Guide Service to make use of that experience, for a fee!’ ‘The Gym Leader, Lesley, is the “Hunter of Dragon Hunters”. Back when Team Amethyst was at large, so many preyed on the dragon-types of Dragon Lake… But Lesley and the Lakewatchers started guarding them. Now they hunt down the ones who hunt dragons, regularly patrolling here and in the Wet Caverns. If you want a dragon of your own, I’d give up on that…’ The guy shudders knowingly. ‘The Gym here’s a Major League Gym! That means, you better not take it on until you’re an elite yourself! I’d suggest heading for Stillwood Village for the gym there, or maybe the one in Raremine Town… uh, but maybe not via Route 6, the Vast Plains are unforgiving…’ ‘Close to Lakewatch Town, past Route 5, is the Frozen Cavern. We mine for old fossils and frozen Pokémon there! It’s really fun! It’s also supposedly a passage to Cooldome City… but, uh. I wouldn’t recommend it, not with all the Glalies. The Tunnel on the other side of the mountain is definitely safer. You can get there via the Mountain Valley past Stillwood Village for a safer path.’ ‘Just south-east of Lakewatch Town is the Endless Forest… No matter what, you always get lost there. It’s filled to the brim with illusion-producing Pokémon and the like. Creepy place. Nobody has ever reached the ending… wait, no. Apparently the Gym Leader of Stillwood Village did. Nobody knows how, though.’ ‘Hehe, you know this ferry has steel plating under it because of the Carvanha in the water, right? Should have been called Carvanha Lake, hahaha! Still, there’s a bunch more interesting things to be found under the waves. One can swim down Descent Tower to reach Flooded Lakewatch… and there’s bound to be some secrets down there, eh? Who knows what…’
So went the idle musings of numerous individuals.
Eventually, the ferry arrived at its destination.
Lakewatch Town
As one looks upon Lakewatch, it is clear it was once built by the side of the water. Yet, over time, Dragon Lake has actually increased in volume, the water-level rising and swallowing the town. Then the natural conclusion would be to move the town back, follow the water-level, and rebuild at the new shore, right? That, does not appear to have been the thought that went through the minds of the designers of this Town, which is essentially placed out in the water on top of older buildings, the streets of the town flooded in water and to get around one has to make use of their many canoes or get on the back of a Pokémon.
The town of Lakewatch rises fairly high for its size, and vegetation grows pretty freely around the buildings. Most buildings and streets have white floating cobblestone to walk on either side of the streets, with a river of water flowing in the middle. People here are highly accustomed to this, and the streets are constantly bustling with people heading back and forth, as well as people actually gliding down from the higher buildings from the roofs above using strange little paragliders. It appears people live in the higher floors, while business takes place on ground/water-level. There are canoes basically everywhere that anyone’s free to borrow, townspeople commonly jumping down on a canoe, using the force of the jump to drift it to the other side and then simply jump off.
Now, anyone could hear from the name that Lakewatch Town is the town that basically rules the Dragon Lake. The Lakewatchers are a group of people that regularly patrol the waters, and become friends with the dragons that live there. Tours by the Lakewatchers are the primary tourist attraction of the place, along with the fish that is procured from the same lake, and guides are trained to show the way in any surrounding areas. Their boats are also those who trade with the western side through Highhill, keeping the place alive and busy. Plus, there’s always the rumors of treasure or otherwise hiding deep in Flooded Lakewatch, and Descent Tower looms in the middle of town for those hoping to explore… but who really knows? It’s a nice and different place, definitely.
It was absolutely commonplace to see Woopers drifting around, and also their evolutions, just minding their own business or being used as the primary means of transportation around the town.
Pokédex Entry #194 – Wooper, the Water Fish Pokémon. It lives in cold water, sleeping on the bottom and seeking food by the shore when it's cold. When walking above water, wild Woopers cover their bodies with a slimy, poisonous film that keeps them from dehydrating. It's slightly dull-witted.
Pokédex Entry #195 – Quagsire, the Water Fish Pokémon. A very easy-going Pokémon, they swim about and don’t even mind if they bump their heads into things. When hunting, it simply opens its mouth and moves no muscles, waiting for prey to blunder in. When not moving, it expands very little energy and does not need food for a long time.
Now, then. What would Basil like to do here?
1. Find Pokémon. There’s plenty of water here. Could be any number of Water Pokémon in the different rivers through town. 2. Talk. In cities, there are considerably more people one can talk to. What are you talking about? 7: Lakewatch Town Trades: Dragon-type 7.1. ‘I got Drampa because he looked goofy, but he’s just too large. A Smeargle for my Duraludon!’ 7.3. ‘I got Cyclizar to ride over Route 6… but I realized I’m still scared. Trade me a Sableye for my Cyclizar? Because… pretty gem eyes.’
Connected areas: Wet Caverns. Water-filled caverns that are located to the east. There’s a small hill to climb to get to the entrance. Route 5. The main exit of Lakewatch, leading to a grassy incline connecting mountains, forests and plains. Route 14. The waters of Dragon Lake are also known as Route 14. It connects Lakewatch Town, Highhill Town and Stillwood Village.
The Bagon looked a bit startled when Eryn started moving. She then stared at her intently as the Dragon Scale was sent rolling along to her, and she cautiously picked it up. The little dragon then glared at Eryn as she made her offer to escape this cavern. The Bagon… smirked at her.
‘BAGON!’ she called, bracing herself, standing and tensing up like the brave little warrior she was. It translated to “go ahead and try!”, and she clearly intended as many Pokéballs that Eryn had as possible.
With that, Eryn had no choice but to start chucking balls at the little dragon. The first ball hit…!
‘Ba…’ the Bagon made small call from the impact of the ball, before being absorbed into it.
The ball landed onto the ground, and…!

There was no roll or anything. Just instantly captured the moment the Pokéball hit the ground.
Eryn caught Bagon!

New Pokémon caught! Eryn earned 2000 P!
Would you like to give a nickname to Bagon?
With that, Eryn was now on her own…
‘Hey, who goes there?’ suddenly asked a voice from deeper into the tunnel.
Noteworthy. Lakewatch residents are very opposed to the capturing of dragons around here. Also, Eryn stood near two fainted Bagons and had captured one within the ball in her hand.
So, what would she do?
Wet Caverns
The Wet Caverns, known so for the sheer amount of water drenching the contents. It’s a large series of tunnels with no real large open rooms, dividing itself up into a fairly simple maze going from one side to the other. The water inside the tunnels thankfully lit up the contents due to some shining mineral in the liquid, giving rise to a mildly lit set of tunnels. Many people prefer not to travel through the Wet Caverns due to them being long and easy to get lost in, in addition to the large amounts of hostile Pokémon which might attack at any time. Yet, here you are…
Still. There are those who travel through it on a regular basis. Those who have learned the trick finds it a fairly easy shortcut between Lakewatch Town and Pureplain City. For enthusiasts there are always the options of delving deeper into the caverns, fishing or surfing to find out what kind of Pokémon might inhabit the depths and the shallow rivers that flow along the underground corridors. It is known to be fairly diverse when it comes to the Pokémon inhabiting it, giving trainers both water- and cave Pokémon to pick from when they want to catch something.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. ‘Wait, what are you-’ Annica asked as Amelia was heading over toward the lake, and then dipped it.
‘Huh? What is she doing?’ Leila asked, looking very confused.
‘I think she’s… wait, it’s coming off…?’ Eric asked, very surprised. Then she revealed the Water Stone…
‘The… Sun Stone was the Water Stone!?’ Eric remarked, shocked.
‘Waaait,’ Leila blinked a bit. ‘Annica, you insisted that stone belonged to you…!’
‘G-’ Annica visibly recoiled, and her Smergle also recoiled, in such a way that the tail snapped like a whip and somehow sent a huge wave of orange paint that just suddenly all came falling down on Annica, who simply braced and accepted her charge.
‘Gah,’ she muttered, all orange beside a Smeargle that had fainted itself, her plot revealed. ‘I… wanted it as a present for Amy… Why would anyone care if I stole it from a wild Pokémon? We were going to leave Isson anyway, nobody would have to know…’
… Now, this wasn’t actually a court of law, and as such there was no guilty verdict for the criminal. But Ledyba was officially Not Guilty, and looked very happy about it over there.
Palpitoad gave a happy noise at being given back his Water Stone, and immediately dove. Then, he came back with something. He gave Amelia… a blue whistle?
Amelia obtained the Water Whistle!
So that was that. Amelia headed on across Route 2, and eventually found her way to its end. There was an incline leading up towards the mountain, but reaching there she’d find a hole in the mountain. If she were to wander in…
Wet Caverns
Above is an accurate representation of the average traveller trying to go through Wet Caverns, assuming the bats are Zubats

So, walking ahead, Amelia found herself inside the wet caverns. Almost immediately, the ceiling woke to life as a bunch of purple wings suddenly flapped about.
Pokédex Entry #41 – Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. It lives in colonies in dark places. It has no eyes, but when flying it is constantly emitting ultrasonic sounds which it uses to navigate through echolocation. As sunlight burns it, it’s usually only found in caves or at night.
Count on an almost constant fluttering of bats in this first cavern of Isson.
Ahead of her, the way split into three paths. One way was a dry way, and there was the vague sound of rock-against-rock deeper inside there.
One way was a wet path, where you have to wade through the waters of the Wet Caverns to get ahead.
The third path leads down into the depths, where it’s very dark at the moment, unless one has a light. Though, given Amelia…
She does sense there are ghosts in this cave. In the deeper, darker portions of this cave.
Still, she might have to handle all the bats, first. What will she do?

Do note, in order to get you what you wanted (and also make a cute story), I do need you to make some form of emotional connection with your target. If you have an idea for how to do this, and if you have something you'd like me to change or so to make this more possible, I'm all ears. That aside, here's the situation I need you to react to right now.
I will note, I do not consider Type: Null legendary, hence why I am allowing this. :P
If her action is just throwing a Pokéball to take advantage of the situation, I could update the post to contain the result of that. If you want to do anything else, possibly more creative or who knows, then feel free to post about it, heh. With that, go ahead.
I did put the two of you on the same quest quite a while ago. For one of you, I suggested hunting down the delivery-people, which successfully procured a vial of the substance. For the other, you infiltrated the base proper, and got some vital information from that. Now, there's considerable overlap in the information the two of you learned, that's because I was mentally prepared for, like, only one of the two of you actually still playing, but now you're both here, hahaha. Does that work?
I'm thinking Dawkin replies first, and he can keep being secretive if he likes, then Claire can come in. She could possibly have overheard what Dunstan was saying to Dawkin. Will save an explanation. What do you two think?
Seabreeze flew after the tiny movements in the ground that indicated something was digging through the ground at that location, and Skylar flew right after on Paradise’s back. Pretzlcoatl was placed on Skylar’s head to look for pursuers, and, well…
There weren’t any pursuers, but the girl referred to as Sylvia, the one with the Seviper, did turn her eyes to look in their direction. But, you know, someone flying away on a Tropius was decently eye-catching, and she was in the midst of trying to look for anyone suspicious. Regardless, nobody actually initiated a chase before the group of people went out of view.
The flight took them to a warehouse at the edge of Raremine Town. The rumble went into the building, and didn’t pass, as it had for a lot of other buildings. A rather unremarkable warehouse, as perhaps could have been expected, but the large doors at the front of the warehouse were closed and locked… except there was a wide-open window on the second floor.
The second floor was more like a platform, allowing one to retrieve items from higher up in the shelves. It wasn’t a complete second floor, it allowed peaking down at the ground floor. Speaking of which, there was a hole in the floor, and a giant mole with spiky metal appendages down there.
Pokédex Entry #530 – Excadrill, the Subterrene Pokémon. 300 feet underground they and Drilburs dig mazeline nests in which they live. They’ve evolved drills powerful enough to dig through metal plates, and are commonly used to dig out new tunnels. Measures sometimes have to be taken so they don’t inadvertently destroy underground subways.
Before the Excadrill stood two people. Amethyst grunts.
‘Yeeeaaah! That went AWESOMELY! Thanks to my new EXCADRILL! High five, to our many future adventures!’ a Team Amethyst grunt down there was saying, raising a hand to “high five” the Excadrill…
The Excadrill lazily dropped onto his rear. Excadrill is loafing around!
‘Wh-what!?’ the grunt looked so startled.
‘I guess, since you just bought the Excadrill, he doesn’t respect you as a trainer, yet,’ the other, female Amethyst grunt, suggested.
‘B-but, I spent all my savings to get him! Why? You obeyed so well during the operation…!’ the male grunt panicked.
‘I… would guess it was because of Isabella? Remember how she approached Excadrill, not you, and said she had an important job for him…?’ the girl suggested.
‘Oh… right…’ the guy said, and at the mere mention of Isabella’s name the Excadrill got a very silly smile and a mole-blush. The Amethyst grunt gave him a “are you serious”-look, then shook his head. ‘No matter! Because… look what we got!’ he said, lifting his arms, presenting what they had in the corner…
A quadruped Pokémon, dark in color, a fin as a tail, mismatched limbs, and a giant metal mask on its head…
Pokédex Entry #772 – Type: Null, the Synthetic Pokémon. A Pokémon created by humans as a weapon. It was created with cells from all known Pokémon types and modeled after the creator Pokémon. Due to it repeatedly going on rampages, it wears the heavy control mask to restrain its power and suppress its intrinsic capabilities.
‘Look at this splendor!’ the guy said, advancing on Type: Null. ‘I have no idea what this is, nor do I care! You are amazing, my dude! Oooh, Isabella is going to give us so much credit for stealing you! We might even be made Elites of Team Ame-’
As he spoke, he got closer and closer to Type: Null… until he got too close and Pokémon rammed him with the side of his helmet. ‘KAAAAH-!’ the grunt shouted as he was sent flying. The quadruped landed in a tense stance, ready and very willing to do battle!
‘E-Excadrill! Help me!’ called the flailing grunt over there.
Excadrill was picking his nose with a giant claw!
‘Bah,’ the girl shook her head, then reached for her Pokéballs. ‘We’ll just have to beat it into submission ourselves!’ she said, picking out two.
‘R-right!’ the male grunt got onto his feet and pulled two as well.
‘Go! Tirtouga! Archen!’ the girl called, sending out a tag-team of ancient Pokémon, one of the sky and one of the seas, preparing themselves for combat.
Pokédex Entry #564 – Tirtouga, the Prototurtle Pokémon. About 100 million years ago, these Pokémon swam in the oceans, and have now been restored from fossils. They’re said to be the ancestor of most turtle Pokémon. They’re able to dive up to half a mile. They live in the seas, but can come up on land to search for prey.
Pokédex Entry #566 – Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. Revived from a fossil, it’s said to be the ancestor of all bird-Pokémon, though later research says this might not be the case. They were unable to fly, but lived in tree-tops and used their wings to jump from tree-branch to tree-branch or simply to glide a considerable distance.
‘Go, Mankey! Vulpix!’ the guy called, sending out a probably less impressive duo of a monkey and a multi-tailed fox.
Pokédex Entry #56 – Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokémon. It lives in treetop colonies. It is unsafe to approach as it is extremely ill-tempered and can become violently enraged for no reason, and when one of them becomes angry the whole colony follows suit. They are very nimble, escaping an enraged Mankey can be very difficult.
Pokédex Entry #37 – Vulpix, the Fox Pokémon. Inside a Vulpix's body burns a fire that never goes out. It commonly inhabits grassy fields, and will feign injury to escape a stronger opponent. When born, a Vulpix has only one snow-white tail, but with age and care it splits into more, warmer tails.
Type: Null stood, simmering with rage, as it inspected its four opponents…
‘… Tell you what. I still have to hear about the berry and that. I’m heading home to tell my family that I’m heading off on this journey. You can do whatever you want, but let’s meet up again in Stillwood Village. Does that work?’ Anise asked. If they hadn’t exchanged contact information they could do so now. With that, with all likelihood unless Basil stopped her, Anise turned to hurry off back to Redcoast City to get herself ready. After all, she hadn’t told people she was going on her journey yet.
Now that I read it again, maybe that’s exactly what Basil was suggesting, so that works out.
Basil then made his way down to the docks of Highhill Town. There, he found he could look out over the great lake located in the south-west of Isson.
Route 14
It is most certainly a lake. A vast lake, that’d no doubt take quite a long time to walk around. The cliffs of Mt. Strength and Mt. Chill rises beyond the lake, and to the south are the cliffs that house the Wet Caverns. Everywhere around the Dragon Lake lies forests, to the west and north and south, at the bases of the mountains and past. The surface of the water looks so peaceful, but way out there you know are the islands and creeks where dragons are known to roam. The places which the lake gets its name. Rain clouds are gathered in the north-west, over Route 3, as usual.
Also at the docks are numerous fishermen, fishing at the docks.
‘Oh, hey, a new trainer, wait right there,’ a random fisherman said before Basil reached the place that sold tickets. The fisherman then walked over to a box containing a bunch of fishing rods, grabbed one, then headed over to Basil.
‘Here, have this. Hope ye grow fond of fishing, lad,’ he said, handing it over.
Basil obtained the Old Rod!
The fisherman didn’t explain anything and then just went back to fishing.
The rod is collapsible so it can take way less room when stored away, but the quality is a little lacking. Still a fine and, by the looks of it, experienced fishing rod, however.
If Basil, at any point from this point on, in ANY water, tries to use the Old Rod…
Pokédex Entry #129 – Magikarp, the Fish Pokémon. While known for being extremely weak and washed away by even the weakest current, Magikarp can survive even in the most polluted of water. They’re incredibly fertile and have spread to waters all around the world. They jump fairly high, and older Magikarps are known to brave mountains with these jumps, seeking evolution.
A big red Pokémon was wiggling at the end of the rod, big oblivious eyes staring off into the vast distance signaling either untold wisdom or complete lack of it.
There’s a ferry here, offering a ride to either Lakewatch Town or Stillwood Village.
Lakewatch Town - 750 P Stillwood Village - 750 P
Otherwise, he can always go back to the rest of Highhill Town.
Highhill Town
Highhill Town is a small, lively place that has seemingly stood atop this hill from time immemorial and never really changed. The atmosphere in Highhill Town is much fresher than surrounding places, the buildings are older and the work as honest as ever. The old town is populated by elders and younglings aplenty, and the town has a culture of their own. Plenty of Pokémon assist with the work, either as work-force or the animals that work is being done on.
One usually only crosses Highhill Town on a trip to or from Pureplain City. Regardless, it is a place of beauty. The fields around it are cultivated by hard-working people and Pokémon while the lake to the east gleams in the sunshine as fishermen attend it. There are small roads of asphalt spiraling up the hill to lead to all the old buildings, and children playing around in stairs or nature is very common.
It is said that a trainer praying at the nearby Silent Shrine will be blessed on their journey, so many travel to Highhill Town just for that. There’s also a set of very ancient rocks spread about town, pointing out towards the lake on top of the hill with some engravings. What they mean? Nobody knows. Also, Highhill Town is the residence of a certain Move Changer, whose abilities are sought by some new trainers. What he can do? Visit him to find out.

The three Bagons suddenly tensed up when Eryn was heard. She gave her assurance that she’d wait for them to be done. So… they continued.
They stared at each other intently. In fact, it qualified as Leer! All Bagons had their defense lowered twice, once per other Bagon!
Then, finally, their patience ran out.
‘BAGOON!’ one of them called, and suddenly all three of them were dashing at full speed at the center, their heads lowered to headbut! … But none of them are actually high enough level to have learned Headbutt, this is just Struggle! They crashed into one another, sending the three dragons toppling backwards…!
One of the Bagons, first to recover, got up and stumbled forward to try to pick up the Dragon Scale… which none of the other two Bagons seemed to like. They all of a sudden both came for the Bagon with the Dragon Scale in her mouth. She tried to lower her hard head to defend herself, but it was two VS one and not a fair fight! She was hit twice and knocked back, the Dragon Scale flying out of her grip! The first Bagon had fainted!
The two remaining Bagons locked eyes. Both knew what they had to do.
‘BAAAAAAG-!’ Both Bagons cried out in unison as they dashed into one another, heads lowered! Doing their best to headbutt one another in what looked to be basically Bagonian ritual combat, they refused to use any other moves and just knocked their heads into one another, over and over, their movements slowing as they took more and more damage, their willpower basically equal…
But in the end, only one could win.
One Bagon fainted, and the other, already very damaged and exhausted, breathed heavily before giving a loud ‘BAGON-!’ shout, a declaration of victory, before starting to stumble towards the Dragon Scale price they’d been fighting for.
‘Oh. I’m sorry,’ Cathia immediately said, about having unloaded more than a little. However, then Claire started talking about the fact she could potentially help. Cathia looked on a bit as Claire spoke about Dunstan… and then looked startled when she suddenly spoke about having met Uxie. ‘You met…?’
Cathia took a moment to consider that, eventually arriving at a conclusion. She nodded.
‘If it is about legendary Pokémon, then he would know best, wouldn’t he? Very well. Let’s go to him,’ Cathia confirmed, and they could be on their way.
Feel free to walk into the conversation Dunstan is having with Dawkin in Dunstan’s lab below at any point you feel best. Maybe let Dawkin reply first, since you’re going to be arriving with new information.
‘W- won it in a Pokémon Battle, okay, I see,’ Dunstan replied, sounding a little incredulous. He continued inspecting the cells he had spilled beneath the microscope to inspect it, quite wide-eyed. ‘Is… is there any more?’ he just immediately asked. Then, the question if it’s a big deal.
‘Is it a big deal, he asks. We just got the cells of the life-giving Pokémon here. No big deal at all…’ He took a deep breath, stood up straight, and then held up the vial of blue matter so that Dawkin could see it again.
‘These… are the cells of the life-giving Pokémon. They’re filled with limitless basically magical energy capable of granting life. The Pokémon they came from is said to be able to grant immortality, and while that might be overblown it is true they contain untold healing capability. The treatments doctors could possibly make with these… They could also possibly supercharge a Pokémon they’re used on, granting enhanced capabilities. Aside from that, the self-replicating energy within can be used as limitless power-sources, powering machines far more magnificent than what we can imagine…’
‘Are they useful? Are the cells of the immortal Pokémon useful? Not to the regular trainer, no. To scientists, extremely useful. But, should these happen to end up in the wrong hands… It would be a problem. Which shouldn’t be a problem, because of the tiny little detail that these shouldn’t possibly exist.’
Dunstan turned fully to Dawkin, his expression very serious.
‘I ask again. Where did you get this? From what kind of trainer? Did they say anything about it? Do you think there’s any more of it? What can you tell me?’ he asked. He probably didn’t expect Dawkin to know the answers to all his questions, but he was absolutely pleading for anything else. Dawkin, of course, didn’t know the answers to all these questions, albeit I will remind he did overhear it was going to be delivered to Bigfjord City.
@Rune_Alchemist That said, Claire might, if she walks into this scene.
If they want to share this is up to them, of course.
Or, if you want to completely ignore that and do whatever you want instead…

Decently simple post. Did you and Anise have any agreements or something? Did you want to stick with her? I can make some excuses if you'd like a companion. She's going momentarily home, but you can wait for her to get back. Or, you can head off solo again, hah.
So, the coincidence was... I knew what kind of battle Cathia would request. At a time where you'd intentionally hidden your Pokémon, I assume to keep her from recognizing them? It amuses me, hah.
You're free to interrupt her speech with whatever you want to say, if you want.
And, of course. The whole event with Skylar over there is happening in the same town as you. You can notice, if you wish.
It turns out that the commotion at the lab was most of the inhabitants of the lab leaving said lab. Dunstan and Leila among them. The scientist that was in charge of resurrecting fossils walked by Skylar as he came to ask his question, and…
'What? You’re concerned about that stuff, at a time like this!?’ Resurrection dude said, albeit maybe with the change of circumstances Skylar wouldn’t actually ask about that. 'Come on! There’s a historic occasion to witness! Let’s be on our way!’
With that, the whole group of scientists were heading off through Raremine Town. With the assumption that Skylar would head along (this plot kinda won’t progress if he doesn’t) he’d find that they were heading out of Raremine Town, off north. If you look at a map of Isson, do you see that there’s actually a river going inland right above Raremine Town? Logically, it was emerging from some underground channel or something.
Well, there was a gigantic pirate ship on that river. Flying the crossbones, piraty crew, captain standing grinning at the helm. There was absolutely zero doubt. Now, unsure if Skylar had some particular way of noticing that there was a pirate ship there, but some scientist could probably fill him in.
Standing at the helm was, alongside his giant ice-bear…!
Pokédex Entry #614 – Beartic, the Freezing Pokémon. They love the cold seas of the north. It creates pathways across the ocean waters by freezing their own breath, and swims around northern seas to catch prey. It creates fangs and claws of ice using its breath to fight with, and are very capable swimmers.
Oh, and Zachery’s two female helpers were probably around here somewhere, too.
Approaching the ship were Dunstan and Leila, the chief scientist on legendary Pokémon, and the representative of the scientists at Raremine Town, albeit she herself wasn’t a scientist. Just a really powerful Pokémon trainer.
‘Ahoy, there, Dunstan!’ Zachery called with an energetic tone. ‘I got the thing you wanted! Special delivery, straight to you! Am I doing a good job, or what!?’ he called, chuckling as he did.
‘You’re doing excellently. Thank you, Zachery.’ Dunstan. Leila meanwhile took out a Pokéball, and a Pidgeot emerged.
Pokédex Entry #18 – Pidgeot, the Bird Pokémon. This Pokémon is known to fly at 1000 meters height to spot Magikarp over water before soaring down to catch. It is capable of flying at Mach 2. If threatened, it spreads its wings to appear intimidating, and if that doesn’t work it can unleash gusts capable of bending trees.
‘Help with the preparations, Perseus,’ Leila commanded, and the Pidgeot took off.
“Preparations” turned out to be lifting out a giant wooden ramp that Perseus the Pidgeot and the Beartic cooperated to place from the ship to the ground beneath. Then, they went over and started carrying something else. A giant cargo-crate, slowly carried down from the ship while crew and scientists were all eagerly watching.
‘Finally, an ace which I can call my own,’ Dunstan muttered. Probably not actually heard by anyone, as he watched the container reach the land before him. ‘I’ll have to thank the Aether Foundation for this. Perhaps, with this, I’ll be able to…’
However, his talk was cut short by the ground suddenly starting to shake.
Suddenly breaking through the ground were suddenly a bunch of Ground-type Pokémon, emerging around the startled scientists. Leila immediately got a very annoyed expression as she turned towards the place where her very own rival came out of the ground, while Dunstan ran for the crate as if to protect it and Zachery just stood looking surprised. The Pidgeot and the Beartic released the crate and it fell onto the ground with a somewhat loud impact.
‘Heeeeey, there, Leila!’ Kristy said, smirking from atop her Claydol, right above the hole she just created, and Leila was confronting her. ‘You know, for someone claiming to not be smuggling Pokémon, this sure doesn’t look good!’
Pokédex Entry #344 – Claydol, the Clay Doll Pokémon. It’s said to have awoken from a clay figurine of an ancient civilization when a mystic light shone upon it. It is a floating enigma, flying with psychic powers and firing beams its hands. It sleeps while floating in the air, and even if it comes apart it can reassemble itself with psychic powers.
‘Kristy! You know fully well who Zachery is! This is a perfectly normal transaction! Believe me, you do NOT want to mess with us right now!’ Leila shouted at Kristy.
‘Ma’am, you can call this a lot of things, but there’s absolutely nothing normal about it!’ Kristy chuckled. ‘Unfortunately, a lot of sneaky deals have been going on around Raremine lately, and I’d like to know what’s going on. You wouldn’t mind showing me, would you? As a token of trust?’
‘Not a chance! You’ve attacked our transport trucks too many times in the past! We have no reason to trust you!’ Leila answered.
‘Only because we were pretty sure those were illegitimate transports. I have no idea what this is. Please show me?’
While the two of them were arguing, a loud crack was heard from the crate that had been carried down. Kristy and Leila continued their squabbling, but Dunstan, far too concerned about the crate, turned and started pressing a couple buttons on the futuristic Aether Foundation crate, it started opening up. And… on the inside was…
‘NO!’ Dunstan shouted out. For those who had a good view… the bottom of the crate was breached. Something had dug in, snatched the contents of the crate, and then sealed the hole behind them.
Leila spun, noticed the state, and then spun to stare in an absolute rage at Kristy… who looked confused.
‘Eh? What? What happened?’ Kristy asked, and- ‘WOA-’ As if responding to Leila’s feelings, Perseus the Pidgeot shot a sharp gust of wind, forcing Kristy to jump off the Claydol. Claydol took the wind-hit, and shot a Psychic attack back at Pidgeot… and while that happened Kristy ran so she could get a view inside the crate. She stopped as soon as she got close enough, running by Leila in the process.
‘Oh!’ Kristy made a noise of realization of the discovery, eyes widening a bit. She started reaching for her other Pokéballs. ‘Alright, let me release my Ground-type Pokémon, and-’
SNAP. ‘Wha-’
The tail of a dark snake suddenly lashed out, snatching Kristy’s arms from behind, tying them up and causing the Gym Leader to fall forward, falling restrained onto the ground.
One of the scientists… took off her hat and coat and suddenly didn’t at all look like a scientist anymore.
‘I was told to keep watch in case anything suspicious happened… I didn’t expect this, however,’ a girl with very purple hair said. Numerous what appeared to be police-officers also showed up right about now to restrain the other Ground-type Pokémon that had appeared with their Growlithes.
Pokédex Entry #336 – Seviper, the Fang Snake Pokémon. It hides in grass and strikes unwary prey with venomous fangs. It whets its bladed tail on rocks to prepare for battle, said blade oozing of horrible poison. It shares a generations-long feud with Zangoose, the two rivaling species battling endlessly throughout history.
‘Geesh, Sylvia! I know you like your secret police stuff, but I need to use my Ground-type Pokémon to see where the REAL criminals went…!’ Kristy complained to the girl, apparently named Sylvia, who had her Seviper restraining her.
‘I’m sorry, Kristy,’ Sylvia shook her head. ‘But I’m not about to let a primary suspect search for the criminal,’ she said. Kristy groaned in light annoyance and tried to shake herself free, but turned out the Seviper was really good at restraining.
‘You brought this on yourself,’ Leila scoffed at her. ‘But how are we going to find them now!?’ she called. Meanwhile, Dunstan was just collapsed by the crate, and Zachery was scratching his head under his hat with his hook-hand. Had the enemy gone undersea, he could have helped, but underground…
‘That is…’ Sylvia frowned, for she didn’t have a good answer to the question…
That’s when Skylar felt some shaking from right underneath him. Specifically, the shaking was traveling from away from the crate, under him, and then on the way back towards Raremine Town.
In fact, Seabreeze with his Keen Eye might actually spot the minor movements of small pebbles or other things on the way to actively follow where the digging was taking it.
What would Skylar like to do?
It might be hard to continue the Gym Challenge while Kristy’s like this.
Also, if you want your price, probably don’t bring everyone. No time, or something.
It was honestly a short and easy enough trip to get out of the rain and get back to Highhill Town. It looks the same as it did, but now the Freecape Ferrymen Office was open. And, as promised, there were three options of trading to get Pokémon from outside Isson… read the bottom of the suggestions to actions for details.
‘Okay. What’s your plan, now?’ Anise asks, as she needs to head back to Redcoast City to prepare for her own Pokémon adventure that she intends to depart on. She did tell Basil this earlier. She was just okay with going back to Highhill first because it was a lot easier than going straight through Silent Forest.
What will Basil do now?

Cathia visibly flinched when Claire slid in beside her, and gathered up the papers in a hurry before looking towards Claire with a startled expression. She recovered quickly enough, returning to her regular supposedly graceful expression…
‘Oh, you’re… yes, I do seem to remember,’ Cathia said, taking Claire’s hand as offered. ‘I’m Cathia. And… I’m not sure I can battle right now…’ Cathia said, looking down at the papers. She then looked up at Claire. Now, Claire could totally say something about this or interrupt Cathia’s speech, but…
‘You’ll do. I’m going to unload a little,’ Cathia said, before picking up the papers again and reading them. ‘So, as we speak, there’s a Team Amethyst base right below Raremine Town. Sure, we can invade it, but the problem is, it’s done. They’ve already achieved their goal here.’
‘They stole many… MANY ancient Pokémon, resurrected from fossils or mined out of the ice of Frozen Caverns. They did so in a manner that made the two factions of Raremine Town, the scientists and the workers, led by Leila and Kristy respectively, think the other side was to blame. Their intentions were to find the cells of ancient Legendary Pokémon, hidden within the fossils or bodies of these should-have-been long-dead Pokémon… and they succeeded,’ Cathia said, holding out a paper that described a vial filled with…
‘The cells of the lifegiving Pokémon… they’ve found them. Of course… it doesn’t say what they’re going to use them for. Something about using them to find the real thing, but that’s not all. I can but theorize what they’ll do with them…’ She sighed. ‘I should tell someone, but Amethyst is notoriously brilliant at escaping when Pokémon League people try to hunt them down. Almost like if…’ Cathia shook her head.
‘I’m sorry. That was not your problem to hear. I am alright with having a battle. Maybe I could use it to calm my nerves. I prefer fighting with open display rules. We both show each other our whole teams before we start.’ If there’s a better term for the kind of fighting where you know the species of the opponent’s team beforehand, please, the GM wants to know. ‘Does that work with you?’ Cathia asked, sorting the documents into her bag before standing up to make ready. Assumingly, she too had gone to the Pokémon Center.
Did Claire interrupt anywhere in that or let her say all that? Does she want to do something herself? also, a note. Cathia’s team is pretty strong, as per what you saw underground

And, now that 1/3 of all generations have taken place AFTER the creation of this roleplay, I felt it appropriate to increase the amount of methods of getting post-ORAS Pokémon. If you don't want any of those, then you can simply not. Otherwise, go for it. I have no idea if any of you will actually use this new "trading" feature, but what the heck, why not. You can always ask Kalmia where to obtain the Pokémon you need for a specific trade.
Oh, and the Freecape Ferrymen, originally only intended to be available when you reach Freecape Town, is now available everywhere. Nobody has reached Freecape Town yet, hahahaha.
Do tell me if you have objections or suggestions or so. Otherwise, at it.
@Typical Nicely posted. And yes, I remember what we talked about before my absence. I will admit to not being able to find my ideas for the trainer for Eri, though, hah.
I do remember that you asked for me to write down the genders of the Pokémon you encounter so you can see them. Well, here you go. If you'd rather they be male, it is not important enough for me and I can change it on a whim, honestly. Otherwise, heh, here's a situation. Because of course, I couldn't JUST have you encounter what you're looking for.
@hatakekuro Nicely posted. Must admit that the mental image of just the two combatants just hanging onto one another doing more and more damage over time is absolutely hilarious in my mind. Nice. So, what now?
Also, do I count it as that you've already received your free Poké from Zachery or not? I will reveal Toxel IS one of the ones available for trade in the Poison-themed town of Goldshore, there just weren't any better picks for Galar Poison, hah.
Random thing. I reread everything recently, right? I discovered that Anise caught a Riolu in Mt. Strength when she was with Claire. I had totally forgotten, and never updated my papers. I can do better. Hahaha. Anyways. What now?
Now, you're the first one in a town with me having announced these little changes. You might want to look into the "Suggestions to Actions" at the bottom for what Pokémon are available in Raremine Town, if you want.
Now, another thing. I do feel a little bad for how Dunstan treated Claire when she came to talk to him. Thing is, he basically doesn't trust anyone, and she wasn't giving him much reason to divulge information to her... but that goes the other way as well, she had no real reason to trust him. Having reread that section now, I feel I should have thrown you a bone. The same way I now feel I should have told Pikmin Eye he was, like, one room from discovering the greatest secret of Team Virtue, like, five years ago, but he went through the wrong door and never came back. I totally should have just completely changed the geography of the base so that he'd walked into it anyway... but anyway.
If you go back now, I'll have him say something different. You don't need to do so right away, but you can keep it in mind. Not sure it'll be that interesting, but it'll give you a reason to come back later, potentially. Maybe.
The Pokédexes, which double as phones, made a small noise that announced that you had all received a message from Professor Kalmia. The message could wait until you wished to listen to it, but when you did, you found it was an audio-message.
‘Hello, trainers! Professor Kalmia speaking! I’ve called you today to inform you of some going-ons!’ Kalmia’s voice was heard, and she sounded kinda excited.
‘First things first, I got a deal through with the Pokémon League! They’ll now give the Freecape Ferrymen some payment, and offer you guys the ability to go to their offices in all towns of Isson! For 500P, they’ll fly you to any city or town in Isson that you have previously visited! This goes for Jacques' trainers too, apparently. That should speed up the backtracking! Of course, if you get your own rideable Pokémon, you can skip the fee!’
‘Secondly! You might have heard the news? A pirate has appeared with a hull filled with Pokémon not originally found in Isson! From Alola, Galar, Paldea, maybe more!’ For when he suddenly carries things from future generations. ‘His name is Zachery, and he sails around Isson and can be found wherever there’s seawater! I came into contact with him, and he offers each trainer of mine a free Pokémon of their choice! Any beyond the first you’ll have to pay for, however.’ Now, should I count that Basil already got his free Pokémon?
‘Besides that, you’re not the only people in Isson to have visited Zachery! Many others have, too! And, some of them are willing to trade! In every town and city in Isson, there’ll be some Zachery customers that are willing to trade their picks for a Pokémon that is actually available in Isson! Each town will have three trades, and all of them will be of the type that the town is associated with! For instance, the traders in Pureplain City are all trading Normal-type Pokémon, yeah. Each town has one Alola Pokémon trade, one Galar Pokémon trade and one Paldea Pokémon trade. Funny how that works out.’
‘So if you want a very specific Pokémon, you can find the town specializing in that type, and see if it is being traded there! Though, note none of the traders will carry any “special” Pokémon, just normal ones.’ No Ultra Beasts, hybrid fossils or Paradox Pokémon. ‘And, if it’s not there, well, then guess you’re going to need to find Zachery and get it from his hull. This includes alternate forms of other Pokémon.’ Though, Zachery will not have Legendary Pokémon. ‘There’s also some new evolutions for Pokémon existing in Isson… something tells me their evolution methods might work if applied to Isson Pokémon?’
‘I will note. The Pokémon from outside Isson are NOT part of the mission you received from me, the one to map the Pokémon native to Isson. … That said, it’s cool to have foreign Pokémon, isn’t it!? You can bet basically none of the natives are going to have any of them!’
‘That’s all for now! I wish you good luck, and let me know if you need or wonder anything! Kalmia, out!’
Eryn bid her goodbyes with Braith over the phone and then headed on. Getting by the Onix, she’d find that Braith’s directions were practically perfect. Highly probably he’d been here before.
That said, while Eri could replicate the outside appearance of the Umbreon they’d seen, actually emitting light was beyond the scope of what the illusion could do. It was more of an in-place illusion. Sure, he could make it LOOK like he was shining… but he wasn’t actually, and it didn’t particularly brighten up the area. However, perhaps the light of Dei’s tail would do. If nothing else, he could breathe fire occasionally to brighten up the surrounding area.
Regardless, she was soon able to head down into the depths… where there were a bunch more Geodudes lying around, and Gravelers, but she’d simply have to dodge those again. Nothing else to it. Soon enough, she found herself on the path by the river that Braith had described. Somewhere on this route, dragons were supposed to be able to appear. Due to the presence of the water here, it was just a little brighter than the previous area… and…
There wasn’t just one dragon. There were three.
♀♀♀ I rolled for gender thrice and got three female results
Pokédex Entry #371 – Bagon, the Rock Head Pokémon. It constantly dreams of being able to fly and hurls itself off cliffs to practice. Its head and body is extremely tough, allowing it to survive this. It’s a big bundle of muscles, and its headbutts can shatter rocks. It’s known to headbutt mercilessly to relieve stress.
Three Bagons stood in a circle, looking from the one to their left, to the one to the right. They eyed each other suspiciously. In the very center between the three of them…
… Lay a single Dragon Scale, clearly an item of importance to the three Bagons.
It appeared they were having some form of Issonian Standoff, or something.
Anise stopped on Basil’s command, nodding and awaiting the result.
Cecil felt the strong grip of the Vice Grip on her sides… but decided to counter with a Fire Fang!
‘PIIIIIIIIIINS-!’ Pinsir shouted out in anger from its head being gnawed on, but refused to let go! Instead, it just tightened the pincers even tighter around Cecil’s sides! And, in response, Cecil gnawed on…!
Now, Pinsir is a block of stats. A fully evolved Pokémon, on account of being the only Pokémon in its evolutionary line. It was stronger and tougher than Cecil… but Cecil made up for it by being Super Effective! A biting battle took place, where Cecil’s fangs burned Pincir’s head while Pinsir’s pincers dug into Cecil’s sides, both Pokémon taking damage by the second…!
Over time, both Pokémon were considerably weakened! It wasn’t clear who was going to come out on top… but that’s not what the goal of this encounter was, was it?
<after checking with player> Basil threw a Great Ball!
The Great Ball hit the Pinsir, and the giant bug was absorbed into the Pokéball in a red flash, and Cecil fell off the being and rolled away a bit. The ball itself landed just below where it hit.
It rolled once!
It rolled twi-
-ce! It rolled thrice!

Basil caught Pinsir!
Gender: ♀ Type: Bug Personality: (Up to player.) Quirks/Talents/Aspirations/Other: (Up to player.) Level: 15 Moves: Vice Grip, Focus Energy, Bind, Seismic Toss, Harden, Revenge Ability: Hyper Cutter. Attack cannot be decreased. Held Item: None.
Currently at about 20% health. So’s Cecil, by the way.
New Pokémon caught! Basil earned 3000 P!
Would you like to give a nickname to Pinsir?
Your party is full! Select one Pokémon to return to the PC.
Cecil grew to level 15!
‘You did it. Well done,’ Anise said, nodding to him. She then looked down on the hole where the Pinsir had come from, and… ‘I’m… not actually sure I want a Pinsir,’ she admitted, just a little awkwardly.
That aside, what would Basil want to do now? Where would he like to go?
Currently in Northern Silent Forest, above the Silent Shrine. If you’d like him to be anywhere else, just give the word.
Northern Silent Forest
Before you lies a forest, dark to the sight but that is mostly due to the clouds gathered overhead. Unlike on Route 3, however, the thickness of the trees prevent actually seeing above the trees. The place has a lonely feeling, made only worse by the constant downpour which is the rain around Rainrock City, yet the place is filled with things one would not expect. There are lanterns shining blue light in the trees, there are arcs around the forest for unknown reasons that sometimes look like they’re glowing themselves. There were definitely mystifying powers at work here, these wooden arcs standing as if guiding the way somewhere, yet they lead nowhere, and are strewn around seemingly randomly.
True to its name, other than the rain barely any sounds come from within the forest. And yet, among the trees, small creatures dwell. Despite the lonely feeling, it is hard to look in a direction and not seemingly see a sign of movement. On the ground, smaller grass-type creatures were invariably found, while larger creatures that enjoy the rain could also be expected. But most of all, the air was populated by small, floating flowers, and the tiny denizens on top of them… This place was fairly well known for the fairies that inhabited it. If you’re looking for a place to name the Fairy Forest of Isson… This is a good candidate.
1. Find Pokémon. Specify if you’re looking for a specific kind of Pokémon in the forest. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 4. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 5. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 6. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 7. Area Specific: Follow the Arcs. They seem to be standing randomly, but if you follow them anyways…?
Connected areas: Route 3. To the east. Route 11. If you head directly north for a while. Silent Shrine. Go south, you should be able to find the road there.
‘Um… Onyx is a person… Specifically, a codename… You know, like the black gemstone…?’ the Lass asked in reply to Claire’s joke, but Isabella just chuckled and was on her way, giant floating Golbat following along. That was there the whole time, by the way.
With Claire being so confident, though, the Lass simply shrugged. ‘Alright, if you say so. Okay, can we exchange info so that I can send you messages? Guess you’re my responsibility?’
If Claire was fine with that, then information was exchanged. After that, the Lass intended on escorting Claire out of the secret base they’d built. With the assumption that Claire wasn’t about to resist, she’d find that she wasn’t led to the same entrance as the one she’d used to enter this place. Instead, she walked up some stairs to a random normal building in Raremine Town, and expected to simply walk out the front door. If she wanted to get back to the secret Amethyst base, she’d know where to go now. Still, based on what they were saying, Team Amethyst expected the base to soon be discovered anyway.
Claire was back in Raremine Town. The group of people had dispersed by now.
Small possibly interesting thing. Cathia, the very person that Claire just fought in the underground Amethyst lair, was sitting on a bench in the middle of town with the papers that she’d stolen, resting and reading the documents. Claire could coincidentally run into her.

I do somewhat regret trapping you in this Ace Attorney reference for so long. I don't entirely feel like I planned it enough. There was supposed to be some form of lethal contradiction in Smergle's testimony here, but I completely forgot what it was. But, I think I can fix that.
If you don't understand what I'm hinting at here, do ask me, hah.
Now, headbutting the same tree over and over is not going to work, but under the assumption you went around headbutting different trees... There you go.
Tell me if you'd like me to change anything or so.
I haven't heard your confirmation if you want to continue or not yet, but here it is in case. If you do want to continue, do you want this to be a drawn-out battle? Do you want to do it faster? I can do it in basically any speed. But in my notes, this dude has six Pokémon. Maybe I should lower that to four for the sake of speed, hahaha. That, or we could collab it. That could also go faster.
