Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Her eyes brightened up when she managed to take down the two injured goblins without getting hurt herself. She was getting better at this. Though her mind did wander to any other first time adventurers out there. Her thoughts were snapped when Amrec commented on how she only wanted to be a supporter despite having the skills to be an adventurer. She let out a nervous laugh. "I... think I should train more before I try delving in by myself." Of course, Via had her reasons aside from that. She didn't exactly want to actually go alone and being a supporter meant she'd be lagging behind another person. "But I think I'll change to an adventurer once I get more experience."

Via nodded and followed Amrec as they delved further into the dungeon. It had been relatively easier than before once she got the hang of it. It was fun! Really, it was! Aside from the dangers of death looming over you, it was actually rather nice to be fighting these monsters and getting something in return. It was... addicting. She could really get used to this, but then again, she was already stuck in this. Via wasn't planning on quitting any time soon.

When they filled up the pouch, they had proceeded out and she followed Amrec. She took off her hat and then began fanning herself. That was tiring, but she had a grin on her face. "Ha, exercise." Well, she guessed that for a Level 3 adventurer, that was nothing more than child's play. "Thanks Amrec. I'll be sure to train more from now on." She replied with a grin, not very bothered by his hard pat on the back. She placed her hat back on her head as the two of them headed back to their family's house.

She then stretched her arms as they walked. "The Tilted Orc sounds great~" She said. Via wasn't a cheap person and would have simply wanted to just go there later, but since Amrec was offering, she planned on taking it up with him. "Do you think Kagu-Tsuchi would allow me to play supporter for members of other families?" She questioned. Not that she was happy to be with her own family, she just wondered what it would be like to be with other competitors. It wasn't like she would suddenly betray them.

Technically, both Furitta and Usagi are outside with unconscious bodies of people who were just unfortunate enough to be there. But I guess it wouldn't be too far fetched to think that he'd find them.

Their Kwami would spill though, considering he would know of their identities.

Their time in London was very... boring. He didn't speak much to Desmond since they weren't particularly close. Nothing seemed to be bothering the general area of people there, and no one started any contracts that the Corrumpi people can't do by themselves. No one bothered with calling for them specifically too, so there were no complications. In the end, the most they did do was going around aimlessly.

The only thing Baradiel thought was important was the fact that the croissant was ridiculously delicious - something he didn't quite expect. Maybe he should have Alfonse buy him some varieties of this croissant next time he prepares breakfast. At least he knew what he preferred now. Maybe he should try out the other pastries. He didn't realize he hasn't paid attention to them before.

Seeing as they had spent quite some time there already, Baradiel told Desmond that they were going back to Alice as they would have to hunt down a Stray later. He grabbed the newspapers Alfonse wanted and then headed for the teleportation rune and waited for Desmond. Once he was prepared, Baradiel activated it and they were back in Seattle. Ah yes, if he were new, he would have hated going back and forth two countries with such a time difference. Well, at least it wasn't too bad.

"Alfonse? We got your papers for you." He called out as he stepped out of the room. It looks like they arrived just in time as Alice just walked out of the resting room - Kouta padding closely behind her before heading over to Baradiel. "Are we ready to go get that Stray?" He questioned once he handed Alfonse the newspapers he requested.
Good point. Guess by now everyone's suits would be deactivating except Talon's.
Furitta was beyond impressed. She was the one who told Serpentine to activate the illusions but even she was surprised when they appeared. Some part of her wanted to laugh, but this was certainly no time to do that. She'd be knocked unconscious if she even dared to breathe in another time.

She ducked under the illusions even if she knew they couldn't hurt her. Furitta reached Usagi just as Talon took her to a corner. "I'll take her outside you deal with-" She coughed once, eyes getting blurry. She won't last long. "You get Serpentine and get the hell out of here." This was not the time to fight. No. Not now.

She scooped up Usagi and went through the window. The beeping of her suit mixed with Usagi's. Time's up for her. She turned and smashed the bottle against the concrete wall of the Lounge - smashing it to pieces and letting the akuma fly out. Before it could go any further, Furitta's wires pierced through it.

"Take that... Rogue... Bat..." Furitta sat down and then leaned against the wall. At least she was outside and she could hear the police and paramedics coming. He won't be getting their Miraculous - not today. Her eyes closed and her erratic breathing began normalizing. Her suit deactivated a few seconds after that and Poyzz patted her head and then stayed inside her pocket.

Baristriss, on the other hand, collapsed inside. Her power now non-existent as the akuma was destroyed. She crumpled down on the ground, of no use to the Miraculous-wielding villain.
I... I actually have no idea how they'll all wake up and not see each other in civilian forms because I'm pretty sure everyone's going to pass out and their suits would deactivate.

Whoops.

Alex simply smiled at Wither before going back to her own partner. "See, nothing bad happened." She pointed out. As stated, Alex didn't really care about whether or not they were following the light or has fallen to the darkness - as long as she wasn't directly attacked, she wouldn't act aggressively. Besides, she's known about the Hag and her infamy of being a magical girl longer than normal. It was suspicious, but Alex found it fascinating. She'd never outright ask her about it, but Alex had always been curious as to why the Hag was more special than they were. It was like she found a key to everlasting magic.

The fight soon ended and Alex actually felt content with the amount of power that she absorbed. Wasn't half-bad considering their two intruders who were just purifying the Nightmares. It was a good idea to focus on the enemies rather than their two intruders. Maybe they were better off just ignoring their light counterparts as long as they don't harm each other. It's not like they're doing anything bad so Alex never really understood the reasoning of why there was such a difference between being followers of the light and beings of the dark. Though, this may be because she was just stubbornly clinging on to her own beliefs.

"Tonight was a great hunt Hikari, good job." She praised her junior partner. She had to admit, she was rather impressed with her recent displays. As an older, and most likely retiring magical girl, she was glad she was partnered up with someone younger than her. "Are you free? Let me buy you some food for the night." She offered. It was like this was Alex's first time inviting her to dinner after a job. Alex did find camaraderie to be precious and needed, especially in dire circumstances.

She looked over at the Hag who was being confronted by their flame powered companion. Ami seemed to have wanted for the light magical girl to pay up - in cash. At least it wasn't anything bad and there wasn't going to be another fight. Alex wasn't sure how she'll handle that. Probably would just walk away, to be honest. She didn't have the energy to deal with a magical girl-to-magical girl fight. Those tend to be messy and evenly matched. Not something she really wanted to waste time with.

Surprisingly, the Hag had detransformed while on top of that beam. Show off. "Thanks for being the bait, grandma." Alex teased, though obviously good-natured in terms of tone and delivery. She waved her farewell as Mari expertly got down without even using her magic. "Show off from start to finish." Alex muttered, quiet enough for only Hikari to hear her.
So if everything goes as per the spur of the moment plan Alex made, I think we can actually win this!

I assume we will be skipping @Tenma Tendo for this round since Usagi has fainted?
There was a small moment of hesitation clear in the Baristriss' face and the appearance of Rogue Bat seemed to have been the reason for it. She held onto the bomb but her grip was loose. On one hand was her bomb which was now dangling precariously from going down, and the other held a spray bottle which she had only been using as her melee weapon. Quite an effective one too, if you ask Furitta.

"And haven't I explained to you that we won't give up our Miraculous because we want to help?" She said back, holding her glare as well. But Furitta wasn't in her best condition. She had already used up her special power and she knew that she only had a few more minutes before she would transform back; add the fact that she had also inhaled some of the gas from before, she was not in the right shape to fight both Baristriss and Rogue Bat.

Furitta's mind was racing. The only backup she had right now was Usagi and she didn't know what condition the girl was in right now. She didn't know what to do. She can't think of a solid plan right now. Could she possibly take them off using the sheer power of adrenaline? No, no... that would only make her tired. The best case scenario was to run away with the Akumatized object. Furitta had suspicions of the spray bottle since the girl didn't seem to be wearing anything of note.

That was when Usagi's shot collided with the bomb and it exploded - purple gas quickly filling up their space. Rogue Bat and Furitta was sure to be affected by this sudden burst as the akumatized villain was the only one who was invulnerable to this. "Serpentine, illusions!" She yelled out as her body made its own decisions. She couldn't hold her breath for long but thanks to the shocked Baristriss, she was able to snatch the spray bottle without a problem. Everything rested with Serpentine's ability to trick Rogue Bat to attacking the wrong her.

Marvin couldn't help but snicker when Frankie yawned as she introduced herself. Looks like the girl didn't have as much sleep as was needed. That could potentially be dangerous if she were a fighter. Sleepiness would make her sluggish and that means her reaction time won't be as fast. Someone could shoot her brains out before she can even get to her gun. But thankfully, she was a medic. All she needed to do was duck and cover then take care of the wounded once the fight was over. Though, he wasn't sure how effective a sleepy medic can actually be but hopefully she'll be fine. Between every single person in this group, he was pretty damn sure that they won't let anything touch a medic, of all people.

"If it's only for a few minutes, kid, I think you'll be-" Marvin was cut off when the caretaker began to speak. "Or not." He grumbled under his breath as he turned his head to the man to listen to his instructions. Hearing that Pariah had already devled inside the Necropolis to handle something made Marvin roll his eyes. So he was a no show. Not even going to bother to show his face to them. Fine. As long as he gets his caps and his info, he was good to go. But the fact that he still wasn't able to meet him after all this waiting did piss him off a little bit.

The equipment promised was there - radiation suits, geiger counters and even an Old World Map. Marvin didn't need the radiation suit for obvious reasons - he can't get any more ghoulish than this - but he thought that maybe the geiger counter and the map would be useful. The suit would be too heavy to lug around if he thought about letting Emily have it. Gordon, as a Synth, could handle the radiation just as well as Marvin could. Their human companion was the only problem. And he knew very well that she wanted to enter the Necropolis herself, having been a curious scientist and ex-agent who could handle herself in a fight.

His attention tuned back to the caretaker when he continued speaking. Like the others, he was shocked to hear that what the Pariah wanted was not physical weaponry but blueprints. He wanted information. He realized that the Pariah was bigger than he originally thought. This wasn't your average person, and he doubted that he was just a history nut who had more money than he knew what to do with. Maybe Pariah was planning something bigger than they could even comprehend at the present time. But Marvin didn't quite care about that. Not yet, at least.

Marvin stood up from his wooden crate and slung his rifle around his shoulder, not bothering with processing anything else other than the mission at hand. He wasn't exactly so interested in waiting around now that they were given the go. He looked at Frankie and John and gestured towards the Storage Trunk where their supplies were at. He then started to move towards it, eager to get his hands on the equipment and get the hell out of this stuffy little place.

However, others didn't take the orders so well. The Talon Mercs spoke up against it. It was a high risk mission. They'd be risking everything they had for this mission, and for what? For just some documents? It was understandable. When they were invited to come here, they didn't know what they'd be doing. So everyone just went here because of morbid curiosity. Marvin sighed. He couldn't believe that some mercenaries were this picky. They could just leave, couldn't they? It's not like the Pariah would have them shot just because they didn't quite accept what they were going to do and got cold feet at the last minute. It was bad on the reputation, sure, but still better than losing your life.

Then Swordwind went on a mini-speech about... something. Honestly, Marvin's mind went blank with disbelief that someone actually did something like this. What were they in? A movie? He could hear someone else pipe up against Swordwind. Obviously being part of the Brotherhood, it was understandable that most would not exactly accept her quickly. Hell, Marvin wouldn't trust her to keep him alive if this were under normal circumstances. Hell, he was pretty damn sure that he would be dead by this point. But right now, it's obvious that she does intend on finishing this mission. But the girl raised a good point. They were from the Brotherhood and as long as they got what they wanted, they didn't care about the sacrifices.

Sacrifces that others, as mercenaries, weren't willing to make. Not for her and her companion, at the very least.

He took a Geiger Counter from the Storage Trunk and also the map. "You know, I don't care who our leader is gonna be. Whether it's gonna be this Brotherhood lady or someone else, but we need one. This is too big of a group to just let everyone do what they want and hope for the best. We'll either get separated or be all dead within the first few minutes." Marvin pointed out as he pocketed the Geiger Counter. He then proceeded to their exit point but of course waited for the rest to gather up what they needed. "So if you would all so kindly choose someone to lead, or please volunteer, we can be on our way, finish this mission and go on our own merry adventures without seeing each other again."

He then let out a sigh. This might as well have been the reason why he rarely travelled with more than three people. Too chaotic. Especially now that they were all just thrown together with who knows what tensions are going to rise up. Not to mention their two Brotherhood Paladins just so willingly showing off their allegiance and putting almost everyone on edge about this whole thing. The ghoul, of course, had his own reservations. He was rather sure that he and John may as well have some complications if he was truly an investigator, but by this point he didn't care. It was useless to think about it since they were going to be working together. Guess for others, it's just hard to let go of previous grudges.
