Alcander let out a breath and rested his arm left arm on the back of an empty chair and decided he'd just see where the karaoke would go. This might be really funny or really bad, but he wasn't going to judge until he saw it. He cleared his throat and looked sideways at Claire for a split second. She seemed like her brother in a fair amount of ways from his limited knowledge, but then again, he had expected her to leap up there with them.

He kicked his leg up to rest on his knee, and decided that this wasn't so bad. It was hot, but the coolness of the hotel calmed it down to a comfortable temperature. Drinks were coming, and for now there'd be something to either appreciate or get a kick out of. He was a lot more comfortable with a smaller group.

Faction Religion/Ideology: The Faith of the Furnace is based upon difficulties purifying the soul and body, causing them to become stronger. The greatest conflict is fighting for worthy causes, for not only does it promote goodness, but it is deadly and hard work, refining their souls and forms.
Faction Description: A Holy Order of Knightly mercenaries for hire, though they are picky. They only accept jobs that help the needy, defend justice, or purge evil.
Faction History: Twelve hundred years ago, the All-Forger's messenger appeared before a simple craftsmen, who would later be known as Uriel the Founder. As the legend goes, he lost his home and livelihood to raiders shortly after being told he was to receive a large blessing. The loss of his life's work brewed a harsh fury within him, and he single handedly killed the raiders with his crafting hammer, saving a nearby village. He then received a vision, telling him to travel across the land, to teach that hardship breeds strength. The following centuries, the religion grew a devout and moderate following, the order often going upon 'crusades' with armies they deemed fighting for worthy causes. Plundering foreign lands and traveling taught them many unique things of different cultures, as well as the rare visions the head of the Order would receive from the All-Forger.

Man all you badasses taking martial arts, all I do is try and work out and not be fat. But, I'm enlisting, so the army will teach me how to kill soon enough.

Hey I started out just working out too. Just find a class of the style you enjoy and take it for awhile. If you're passionate about it/pay attention enough, you can then self teach yourself after having learned after a year or two.

Blood Debt (Medieval/Fantasy, Rangers)

I teach Shaolin Ch'uan Fa, which is a self defense style. We have a lot of children who go to the dojo. That is how I get my workout, by bench pressing 6 year olds and doing forms none stop for hours with them.

I've been working out for 7 years, I've taken Oyama Karate and Wing Chun, and self taught myself some sword/staff techniques, but Shaolin has always been my favorite and there is no place around here to learn it! That is awesome All I have been able to do is read shaolin technique books
