Dragon Age: Just spitballing some ideas

This is a bit different than most interest checks out there, at least from the ones I usually post up, seeing as it more of a drawing board than an actual advertisement. To make a long story short a interesting RP me and a few other people were in started off only to meet the sad fate that all too many RPs meet, failing to take off after launch. So in an attempt to remedy this unfortunate out come I'm making this little post so anyone who is still interested from the former RP and myself can hash out some ideas to revive and remake the RP as well as keep it from following the path of its predecessor. Anyone is more than welcome to join us, but I like I said before this is more of a brainstorming session at the moment than anything. The only thing that is completely set in stone is that this RP will be taking place in the Dragon Age universe, anything besides that is up in the air at the moment.

Firstly, I wanna say thanks for tagging me. I just got done moving and am living in a temporary place so my head is aaall muddled. But I was looking forward to that DA RP we were all in and I'd love to get into one.

I'll definitely have my eye on this, if not a player. I would say try having it in the period before Inquisition, as that frees up character histories and possibilities more

Wow so much outside interest, I'm genuinely surprised honestly to have gotten people here with that post I made. But I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth so welcome all!

@The Fated Fallen I was actually thinking the same thing, as great of a game as Inquisition is all of the earth shattering events going on it makes it a tad difficult to focus on the stories of the actual RP characters.

I actually came up with a little idea as I was looking over some old Dragon Age stuff, namely the character Isabela. Would anyone be interested in becoming a member of a merry band of sea explores that sail the waters around Thedas looking for fame, fortune, and adventure? Again just a random idea that came to mind.

But I have been waiting for a Pirate-esque RP so to speak. I am all in. In fact if the timeline is a bit after Origins, my Ferelden soldier I made previously would do well as a character.

Star Wars: A New Beginning

The Mandalorian stayed quiet for many moments as the ship rocked and thrummed, standing there amidst the low light like a statue. "Your ship?" the Bounty Hunter asked. He regarded the small droid, contemplating either crushing it or shooting it, but he did not move an inch. He let his words hang, very sure that this man wasn't who he claimed he was. That did not necessarily mean he was dangerous, but he would find the truth of things.

"I was paid by the ones who claim this ship to protect their precious cargo. And I only lay my weapons down for those who pay me to do so." he explained. "I do not know who you are, and you do not know who I am I assume. My counter proposal is that you come out here and face me. I will have my weapon, you will have yours. But I will not kill you unless you make an attempt on my life. I don't play in tricks or trivialities. Instead of us lying and claiming to meet unarmed, let us be equals and meet armed. Whether we use them is up to us."

Sol'id hefted his custom rifle, though he didn't hold it at the ready with any sort of aim. Part of it was the fact he was confident in his efficiency, but the other that kept his barrel down was honor. He wasn't sure if the man whom he was speaking to shared his sense of honor. It didn't bother Sol'id. If whomever he was speaking to tried to kill him, it didn't matter. Even if he succeeded, Sol'id Fist would crawl out of the pit of hell to drag him down with him.

The Thangors escorted the Queen to meet these new arrivals. Tall and strong, with well forged arms and armor, the Thangors had always been protective over their Kashar allies. Kane the Drabarian walked in long and slow strides, as if he was some great beast to be admired instead of a humanoid simply walking. One hundred Thangor warriors, and both Gerti and the High Thane's heir Arden walked at the fore. They halted before these new strangers and took their measure as they spoke.

Kane and the two Thangor leaders took it upon themselves to stand beside the Queen just as the Lizardman had begun speaking of economics. "Welcome friends." Arden said. "Seems odd fate you saw fit to visit the fine land of Kashar bearing gifts just as we did."
"Indeed." Gerti said, the auburn haired warrior woman tilting her head as she regarded these new visitors. Behind them both, the Warriors of Thangoradrim stood vigil and wary, though their weapons were sheathed. "You needn't worry on their metal working." Arden said. "We've come to help them on that account. But, I will say that if you've truly come in friendship, then you are our friends as well. I say, let us drink and be merry! Matters of politics can be better discussed over some fine Ale, I say."

"I've never been much of a bard, or any manner of person to bestow titles, but I will see what I can do." Thurin said gruffly, nodding. His large hands rested upon his Axe head. The haft of the weapon resting upon the ground. Thurin didn't bother looking around warily. He had taken the measure of all his companions from when he first gazed upon them. Some of them seemed formidable, and others less so. Only time would tell, and he doubted anyone here was fool enough to start trouble in the presence of a wizard (or a tired and cranky Dwarf for that matter!)

"Aye." he spoke after the man did. "My own horse is even more weary than I am, and we have been traveling many leagues to answer the summonings of yon letter, Master Wizard. If he can be seen to the stables with some warmth and food, I would be more liable to listen without complaint." His words sounded like a pronouncement, hard and sure of himself. Until he added "...and more cake if at all possible."
