I started ATLA late, around Covid. But I love the first series and think TLoK is pretty good despite some problems

I never notice someone's post count until I see (ignore post count) and then I totally look at it, out of habit and curiosity.

Current Projects/Freelance work

  • I am a voice talent and script writer for Faerun History
  • I have a much smaller personal Youtube channel that I use to make videos on various subjects. Only been making videos for 2 years, but it's growing!
  • I'm the host of a Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast where I interview authors of the genre.

Interests (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Writing/Reading (Love writing and I own too many books)
  • Video Games (Been a gamer for close to 23 years now)
  • Working Out/Martial Arts (Wing Chun/Oyama Karate mostly. Some historical swordplay as well.)
  • History (Military History is my specialty)
  • Zoology
  • Art (Mostly Illustrations. Used to be good. Am picking it back up)
  • Voice Acting/Singing
  • Tabletop Gaming (Started late in the game. Been at it for 3 years. I was the kid who bought the monster manuals and D&D books just for the lore for the longest time. I've played 3.5e, 5e, Star Wars D20, Edge of the Empire, PF, and PF2.)
  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)
  • Movies (Action/War/Drama films being my go-to)
  • Music (Rock of all kinds, as well as historical folk songs, sea shanties, pub songs, a bit of classical music, etc)
  • Guitar (am learning to play, but being left handed makes it challenging)
  • There's more but if you care enough you can PM me :P

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

So, what they're trying to do is spread fear and misinformation. So I don't want to give them pats on the back for shouting with passion, since they have no evidence, policy and/or sense to back it up.

I don't believe that is what they are trying to do, even if it's the result.

I dunno. I mean I get what you're saying here and there's a valid emotional anchor to it, and you're not wrong for that. It's just.... the left is railing against the NRA. Dana Loesch went to CNN's town-hall/circus and sat through some disgusting rhetoric (from the 'trying' left), and like.... hang on, here's a list of all the mass-murderers in history who were NRA members:

Frankly I've gotten used to the lashing-out, because it happens all the goddamn time (not only from the left, that's just where I notice it because I'm biased). I'm not judging anyone for lashing out after a bunch of kids got fucking murdered. I'm also, ya know, I'm not stoked on legislating that lash-out when it's so blatantly misguided. Like.... we just watched as three armed cops sat outside the school and let a bunch of kids die, and the response is "Let's take away guns, so that only THOSE SAME COPS can stop a killer?" Really? And I already feel bad about wording that as strongly as I did (which isn't that strong TBH), this is an emotional moment, feel that shit, I don't mean to condescend. Just saying. My answer's gonna be no, when we get to the part where they're pitching a "solution." Heads up on that.

School shootings have gone up since we made them "gun-free zones." I don't think it's insane to talk about letting teachers arm themselves to protect their students (provided we're also talking about training the volunteers).

I'm not arguing against you there. Literally every since progressive thing in the past 4 years that has happened has been illogical and unfounded, except 2 things. Gay Marriage, and the Oregon Domestic Violence Gun Ban. Other than those two, everything has been handled sloppily and it's all just been one huge emotional response. Like Kneeling for the National Anthem. I completely realize why they did it and why the left supported it, but it also solved nothing and was meaningless. All it did was make most American's think "Black people dislike America." Leftists are abysmal at...well, what they do.

However, you have to give them credit for actually trying. They have good intentions. Conservatives don't do jack shit. The only thing they have done is try to make everything difficult for Obama for 8 years, and changing Healthcare to be worse. Everything they do is to be anti-liberal, whereas Liberals are trying to make the world a better place, even if they suck at it (and become the judgemental fascists they themselves profess to hate sometimes, at least judging from facebook and tumblr).

Their gun policies will probably do nothing, but God they still at least have empathy for people dying.
I'm not against the 2nd amendment in the slightest, honestly. It gives far more benefits than problems, and most anti-gun liberals do about as much unbiased research into that as conservatives do with climate change. However something I will stress that @Xandrya brought up is, at least liberals are trying. They'll look at a mass shooting and go "something should be done" which is more than I can say for any conservative/republicans that I know. All they'll do is say the left is stupid and they hug their guns like 17 deaths is 'no reason to go overboard.' It's honestly disgusting.

Something to note that Oregon just did was ban domestic violence criminals from being able to own a firearm, which I think is a no-brainer already, but it's good to hear it's happening.
Ah the underslung grenade launcher. What we experts refer to as, the noob tube.
The Tavor X95, however, you can even buy in Canada.

Canada is honestly fairly lax on gun regulation. You can get about as many varieties there as you can here, from what I've seen.
As the ridiculous looking recruiter entered the tavern, Drimbold would mutter 'bout time' as he grabbed another Zhufbar Ale, having already inhaled the first one in a matter of seconds. The atmosphere in the Nag had shifted to something more business-like, but Drimbold remained as unchanging as when he walked in (bar the Elf). Longbeards had patience unlike anything else in the world, and he was too busy drinking at the moment. If the manlings and the beardling were eager, he'd let them ask for recruitment.

Once he had finished his fourth pint for a bit of light drinking, he hopped off the stool he'd climb up on. The timber furniture was grateful for the intense weight that had disappeared from atop it. Grabbing the axe that leaned on the counter side, he set off toward the Estalian once the last manling had finished speaking to him. A perpetual unsatisfied and unbridaled grimness to his face, Drimbold eyed the one eyed Guild representative.

"Pay me a fair wage, I'll kill what ye want and march where ye want, provided it doesn't dishonor me hearth and home." He said, then glanced to the side to the White Lion. "If the Elgi comes along, that's extra." His voice sounded like rocks grating against one another. "If ye have no more gold, as ye look too scrawny to be a man of means, just see he keeps his distance."

Drimbold didn't even wait for a proper answer, only staying enough to be satisfied with the man's acceptance before he went back to drinking.
Balgrim felt somewhat delighted hearing these different manlings speak. He didn't know there were so many varieties in their speech depending on where they hailed from and he wondered if all the men in the tavern possessed such diverse ways of speaking.

As Gotrek Gurnisson said: "Mankind is the same everywhere. Only the hats are different."
Neil squinted at the man, eyeing him for a moment with scrutiny. The pilot was certain the man had not seen him when he had taken the holo-disk. At least initially. The crowd was quite large when he stole it, and Neil admitted he didn't hide the holo-disk because he was already getting somewhat inebriated. Maybe the man had seen him holding the disk but the crowd kept him from getting to Neil before he was gone. Either way, it looked like he had some resources on hand.

Neil quickly scanned the room for possible methods of attack. Not for him to attack, but for his own defense. However it seemed a normal, perhaps high class office room with various automated utilities built into the seemingly solid walls, as the Asian man pressed a seemingly smooth section of the drywall and it opened up to reveal sugar and cream, casually picking both up and bringing it over to the stone desk as the wall closed once more.

"Uh sure." Neil said, sarcastically upbeat for this odd situation. He was glad for the extra ingredients for the coffee. It wasn't exactly adult, but he'd been raised on sugar and cream with his coffee. His father used to make the best, putting in the exact right amount of both in every cup. He could never recreate that, but it still was better than the black coffee he assumed Junebug would get. Taya seemed to agree with Neil, and she nervously walked over to the table right behind Neil, asking him to pass the sugar.

"So..." Neil began, stirring his coffee as the Asian man sat down, giving a cordial smile. "I assume if you wanted us arrested you would not be giving us coffee, am I right?"

"That is correct," he said, adjusting his spectacles and clearing his throat. His eyes switched between Neil and Taya, before going to Neil and Junebug, as Neil was the thief and the one speaking, but Junebug held the air of authority he surmised. "I apologize for the inconvenience of your assets, but I needed to find you. Have you actually looked on the disk yet?"

"We..." Neil began, glancing to Sayeeda. "Have not. We were quite busy last night."

"I suppose that is actually fortunate, though that would be the only fortunate aspect of this very unfortunate meeting. You see, on the disk is...a message I received on the kidnapping of my fiance. My name is Kadashi Cheng, and my fiance is named Nia." He said the name with a certain feeling. "She...disappeared a fortnight ago, and the next day I was sent a message she was seen being carried off into the docking station. Yet I have reason to believe that if she is not on the Node, she is within the system. I have a beacon you see-"

Taya had her hand to her mouth, broken up that this man had lost his love and was obviously trying to appear professional while speaking of a subject close to his heart. Neil listened intently as he continued. "-a beacon that represents how close we are. It does not show direction. But it would not work if she was out of system. Its power is not infinite, as you could well guess. You can also guess how I am in dire straits to be speaking to complete strangers, but I did a bit of digging. The Highlander and its crew disappeared from known space for two years and yet, you are not unknown to certain groups..."
@Penny
That's amazing Penn!!! Great news^^
@RawrEspada4 Oh I know exactly what you're going through. After I lost someone I couldn't roleplay or write for months, and it took me years to actually get over it because they were my favorite part of writing. You just need to remember that everything you've written, came from you. You need to remember that running away from your problems won't solve anything either. Moving on is something you get used to that starts with a choice, it's not one or the other. But I completely understand what you're going through. Heartbreak almost made me quit but you obviously keep coming back here so you're still interested. I usually follow a quote from my favorite author in this case:

If you can quit then quit. If you can't, you're a writer -R.A. Salvatore.
