Luna tore her gaze away from the other werewolves in the trailer and onto the man kneeling in front of her. She bit her lip and gripped the blanket tightly, as if it might help ward him off. His words however were soft spoken and gentle. She nodded at what he’d said and touched her throat gently, trying to speak after he had finished. Luna glanced once more at the other two wolves, both of whom were injured. The woman, Sorell, wasn’t doing so well and she felt partial guilt for it.

”Thank you, Liam,” She turned to look at him. Her words were raspy, but becoming stronger now as the medication relieved her swelling. ”I appreciate what all of you have done for me.” Her voice carried to the pair across from her. Luna didn’t respond to the revenge aspect of his comment. She didn’t want to see the Vie Et Mort vampires ever again, nor go back to that hell. She wiped her eyes quickly, hoping no one would notice. Luna fixed the over-sized t-shirt on her and looked at Liam.

”I... I don’t know what else to say, or do... I’m… I’m sorry.” Her voice cracked and she cleared her throat as discreetly as possible, despite it being noisy. She was shaking. What did she say or do now? She had no idea what to do with herself. They were definitely going to hunt her down until they found her and pulled her back into that nightmare of a castle. She couldn't go back; she couldn't bear it. Her heart was frozen and filled with anger, though her mind was clouded with grief and devastation. All she could keep thinking was, How could she and why was I so stupid to believe her?

Marceau's voice broke Desiree’s reverie of rage and fury. Her hands were shaking. She turned and listened to him speak, arms folded. She knew better than to interrupt him and wouldn’t dare too. She nodded along, agreeing that the infestation of hunters was obnoxious. However, the mention of hybrid humans had her frozen with wide eyes. Red hair… She needed to know who this girl was. It couldn’t have been that random child, could it? Was Noah’s sister alive and also a hunter? She didn’t know but she would definitely find out. She pinched the bridge of her nose.

Once he finished after ordering Heidi to grab him a drink, she spoke up. ”The reason they are abundant here is they know I am here and where we are located. Only the top generals know, but none of their other hunters. We have to calculate our moves wisely. Right now, I’m not concerned with them knowing I’m here. My human farm is halting their abilities to attack us directly.” She sighed and didn’t look him in the eye as she continued.

”I have been trying to make werewolf/vampire hybrids. I was given a werewolf by the name of Luna who was a former witch. Her parents didn’t want her anymore since she was turned. I experimented on her and unfortunately, she was allergic to the medication and had anaphylactic reaction. The weak brat couldn’t handle the venom either. She ended up escaping the Death Chute where she was supposed to die. She ended up running away and she transformed into a werewolf. If you had heard a howl an hour ago that sounded mournful, it was her’s; then another one responded to her.” Desiree paused to allow her words to sink in, then continued.

”My priority is having her found and brought back here. Now that you mention the human hybrid they have, I am curious to know if they have more. Luna might go to them, so we need to make sure that she doesn’t. I am going to form scouts tomorrow to begin tracking her down, then also watching surveillance videos by the area you found that red-haired hybrid so we can identify her and possibly kidnap her. I’d love to cut her open and see what they did to her. She must know if there are other hybrids as well. We need to unite the vampire clans here - I agree with you.” Desiree sighed and sat down and glanced around. The vampires were listening to her sympathetically and nodding along. They would do anything for their Queen and were in rage over the matters she had just discussed.

While Corvina listened to Kenia reveal her past, she felt anger rise inside of her unlike before. How could someone do something so terrible? It was despicable. She shook her head and slowed to a halt so she could hold Kenia's hand and squeeze it. Her ex was one true son of a bitch. Cora couldn't imagine the pain that Kenia had endured. Next, Malachi's eyes teared, and Corvina could only assume he was remembering his own tragic past. What the hell was wrong with anyone, human or not, to cause such horrible suffering? She didn't understand it.

She hook her head as Rei attempted a joke but his tone betrayed him. What a lot they were; all of them had sad backgrounds. She had let go of Kenia's hand to rub Rei's shoulder gently. It was a simple acknowledgement to his own grief. She didn't want to push anyone else to speak tonight. They all suffered enough in the past and had enough on their plate. Still, she'd make a point to be kinder to them the next day and hug them all the next morning.

She sat on her bed as Rei aided her in sitting on her bed. Cora quickly went under the covers and kept her back against the wall. he turned her back so she could wipe her eyes. Once she had composed herself, she turned to face them again and kept the blanket up to her chin. She didn't want anyone worrying about her, but now she was too tense and worried about what might happen. "It's all right you two, please try not to beat yourselves up over it. It'll be okay. I love you guys." The words spilled out of her mouth before she could help it but let it go. She forced optimism into her voice and forced a faint smile. She couldn't bring herself to make a joke, though, but she wanted to look happy for the others.

How much could one human take in this world? Their journey was wild. She wondered if any other humans were experiencing this much chaos. Cora pushed the thoughts out of her mind and began to hum soothingly to the others to try helping them relax. The tune was "Once Upon a December," from Earth. Anastasia had been one of her favorite movies and her comfort. Corvina stared at Rei apologetically once more and turned to stare guardedly at the doorway.

Artemis
Time: Dusk
Location: Edena
Interaction: @FunnyGuy Darius | @13org Myra

Artemis ate with Myra, though she did not touch the fish. She remained silent and ate until she couldn't anymore. Due to prolonged abuse, neglect and starvation, Artemis couldn't eat half as much as she wanted to. When Myra took her hand to lead her out to their room, Artemis felt slightly queasy and relieved to leave the kitchen. The smells of everything was driving her mad. She felt her stomach grumble and growled at it in her mind. All she wished to do now was fall asleep underwater. It would bring her the most comfort and she would feel safe. Being in the castle was driving her up a wall.

Upon arriving in the room, she found herself shocked to see Darius passed out on the bed. Not only that, but his hair color had changed. She furrowed her brows. While she hadn't met a human before, she knew hair color changes weren't part of their abilities. She bit her lip and examined how exhausted he looked. The only visible change thus far was his hair. Next, she watched as Myra tried to gently push him and let out a deep sigh. That would surely wake him. "Myra sweetheart, please be careful - I don't want to wake him." Her voice was soft. Artemis sighed and felt the soft bed. For a moment, her mind began to reel back to her old home underwater. Tears briefly formed in her eyes but she blinked them away quickly. Knowing the situation was likely futile and Darius would wake up anyway, she carefully sat on the edge of the bed to relieve Myra's likely concern, then moved to sit on a chair instead. Her gaze was locked on Darius. She gently fixed the silky dress around her and fixed a coat over it as well.

Something was wrong, but she wasn't certain what yet. Time would certainly tell.

Classical jazz music filled the small room as Desiree lounged on her leather couch. The recorder was sitting ten feet from her and playing an older album from the 1900s. A book was in her hand with a bottle of expensive wine filled with blood beside her. There was a small tray of cookies baked fresh by Luna that previous day as well. Desiree’s blonde hair was pulled into a small ponytail and she wore satin pajamas. A small smile painted her face. There wasn’t a care in the world. Luna’s experiment had failed and the mutt was in the Death Chute to be fed on. She had told the vampires if she managed to survive, to find her and kill her. The survival had been doubtful though. Another one had bitten the dust; nothing annoyed Desi more than failing another experiment. The tiny brat hadn’t been a pureblood werewolf, so perhaps she needed a pureblood or an alpha. She had sent vampires to scout Ember Grove to begin trying to find them. There were rumors of a werewolf pack who had settled down in Ember but she didn’t know where. It was no matter, she would find out and eventually eradicate the filthy beasts and take their alpha. Whoever survived would be subjected to her heinous experiments. She chuckled slightly, remembering Luna’s screams and cries for help. Had that brat actually thought she cared? How pathetic humans were. Such emotional beings only let it cloud their judgement.

The serene silence was then pierced with a familiar and sorrowful howl. Desiree froze, the cookie pausing in her hand. She knew that howl; it was Luna’s. Sudden frustration rose inside of her. The brat.. The tiny brat had managed to turn into a werewolf? She tossed her book aside and ordered her maid to solve the puzzle of fixing her space. The woman nodded silently and trembled as she passed Desiree. As for Desi, she moved over to a nearby window and stared outside. She could vaguely see Luna’s profile from afar. How the hell had she made it to the woods? She turned to her maid who caused a ruckus by accidentally spilling her wine. Desiree glared at her as it stained her white fur rug and leather couch. The maid turned to her with wide eyes and began apologizing profusely but Desi wasn’t listening. No, in fact, that woman had sealed her fate. She walked over to the woman and smacked her upside the head and released her frustration upon her. The woman let out a yelp of pain but Desi didn’t stick around to find out where she had fallen.

She strode out of the room in a flash, ordering vampires around her to go find and track down Luna. Desiree felt adrenaline pulsing through her. Had the tiny brat managed to escape and if so, how? Her fists were clenched and trembling with anger and surprise. Nobody had ever escaped, except that stupid child. Where she had gone to, Desiree didn’t know. She had Noah still, so that’s all that mattered. He was hers and she intended to keep it that way. Speaking of, where was he? She took out her phone to text him to return to base asap. Desiree strode into the lounge where most of her vampires hung out at night. They all quit talking immediately and turned to her. The loud music halted as they awaited their queen’s voice.

”Ladies and gentlemen, I regret to inform you that -” Desiree’s voice was cut off as another howl pierced the night, this one sounding more warlike. She froze, her red eyes bulging from their sockets. Another werewolf had answered Luna’s cry for help. She turned back to the vampires and looked at them. ”Luna escaped, and obviously a wolf or werewolves heard her cry for help. I need some of you to scout the area and stay back from whatever the scene is occurring. Report to me what you find. I need to know if we have alphas, betas, or omegas.” Several people hopped up quickly and left the lounge. The rest awaited her next move. ”The rest of you; stay on guard for any intruders. I want you all on the full alert. Jade, I want you to find Noah as quickly as possible. Go.” The vampire mistress waved her hand and the teenager sprinted out to begin finding Noah. She left the others and sauntered back to her tower to begin contemplating her next move.

Her reverie was interrupted, though this time not by some stupid human making a idiotic mistake. She turned to face Ezra, one of her faithful vampires. She glanced at him questioningly, arms folded with her back against the wall. ”My lady, I have a report. Four werewolves and one in human form had come to help Luna. They killed Henry, Pauline, Travis, and also Ophelia. I’m sorry, m’lady, but they’re gone. I only had a few moments with Pauline before she passed away and said there were two alphas. They’re gone now, m’lady.”

Desiree pinched the bridge of her nose and smiled kindly at Ezra. ”Thank you, Ezra. You’ve done great work today. You may go to the chamber and commence feeding on Cassandra, but don't drain her.”

Ezra grinned and bowed politely. ”Thank you, m’lady. You know I love my gingers.” Desiree turned away as he clambered out of the room to go feed on the witch they’d found not too long ago. She needed the bitch alive to take orders, but the bitch needed some persuasion. Ezra would be enough to break her; he’d broken many people previously - the last being a stubborn ginger child that Desiree couldn’t help but wonder if she still existed. She sighed and stared outside with fury rising. Luna would die the most painful death for escaping and would drag her werewolf companions down with her - that she promised herself. No one would ever escape Viet-Et-Mort alive ever again.

Belladonna sat happily at the Inn with her two new friends. They were a breath of fresh air. How she enjoyed their time bonding over thievery. It was a relief to find people with like mind and not feeling forced to put on a mask. Belle had finally been herself for the first time that week. Her dress was beautiful as well and she had found an equally great mask. She had started to enjoy one more round of mead as well and indulge in more peaches. Her mind began to reel as she went to answer Torvi; it was then that she noticed the same mysterious cloaked figure from earlier.

She glanced at Elleta who was narrowing her eyes at him. As he dropped the apple in a masked attempt of tomfoolery, Belle struggled not to crack up. She had seen Tom and Jerry make better efforts to sneak up on one another. The cartoons had always made her laugh in her darkest times on Earth. She caught Elle’s expression and struggled to withhold her laughter. It reminded her briefly of her past when she would be with the gang and mocking people.

”Is there something you need, Mysterious Cloaked Figure who has been here all day for hours? Did you form a grand master plan of dropping your apple nearby us in the hopes we didn't notice? Such a misfortune indeed that we saw. Apples aren’t even on the menu here.”

Belle choked on her water and quickly began recovering from her cough. She glanced at Bowyn and Torvi, her blue eyes shining with amusement. She dabbed at the water on her face with a napkin and chuckled. ”Cat got your tongue there, stranger? Is there something you’d like to share with the class?”

Elleta grinned at Belle’s commentary and smirked at Elthrael. ”Are you possibly a demon allergic to the fancy lighting of the establishment we are occupying?” Belladonna started laughing and buried her head in her hands to try muffling it. She wiped her eyes and eyed the stranger.

”Did you take the time today to sharpen your teeth? What did you use if so?” Elleta stared at her with surprise briefly then managed a grin and looked back to Elthrael and the others. Both women were calm on the exterior, though inside their guards were up and ready to defend if necessary. Rosemary was nearby, invisible still, watching as well. Belle managed to compose herself enough to continuing eating and drinking.

Corvina sighed as she watched Malachi and Kenia fumbling around. She was grateful that Rei had taken both of them, though she wished to help. Her mind was buzzing from the spiked drink and the encounters she’d endured. She felt awful about it, though she tried not showing it. When Malachi called them children, she hadn’t protested. After all, she felt like one to both Elves and looked up to them as her parental figures. She hadn't meant to, but it had gone that way for her. She opened the door for them to exit then made sure to follow behind quickly. Cora had waved his comment off about walking alone, which she didn't mind. At the moment, she needed to breathe and think. She chuckled at Rei’s comment about being courted.”Yeah please, let’s hurry as I want to get away before that dude comes back. I’m not interested in him or the snake.”

Corvina led the way towards the Inn, making sure to stay relatively close to the elves. She wanted to lead and make sure nothing harmed them on their way back. Her heart couldn’t take anymore drama for the night or harm to them. She was looking around to and fro as she walked with her hands in her pockets. She had one on her spray and the other on her pocket knife.

Artemis had not smiled or spoken a word once on the amora. She had hung onto Darius rather tightly however, afraid he might drop her or the Dark Elves might return. Once in the castle, Myra took her to the kitchen to eat which thankful for. She sat down and heard her stomach rumble loudly. She set her head in her hands to help steady herself. The room was spinning from all the activity she had endured in the past hours. Fighting to escape taken its toll on her. the demon presented her with fish, Artemis wrinkled her nose. She had rarely ate it prior to being enslaved. She had mostly eaten vegetables, seaweed, fruits, nuts and seeds. Being on land had been risky for mermaids, so the less time they spent hunting on it, the better. Thus, Artemis grew up not really eating it and hadn't changed it until the past years.

She glanced around and began to find other plates of cooked fish that Myra had presented her as well. She didn’t know what to say, or how to even begin explaining how she rarely ate it. She didn’t mind raw fish, such as salmon, tuna and sushi, but the others? She wasn’t as well-versed. Before she could say anything, the demon gave her steak which she hungrily took. While eating meat was not her favorite, she knew she had to eat it now. She was too malnourished to refuse much at this point. Besides, the smile on the demon’s face was too adorable of a bubble for her to burst. So, Artemis began to eat steak and nudged the fish away gently with her elbows, all the while not glancing at Myra’s expression. That was not something she could handle eating right now, nor would she ask for anything else in its place. As she ate, she began to hope Darius was alright and hoped to check on him soon.
Luna

Luna’s eyes began to slowly open. The last thing she remembered was being in the woods, watching as two alphas stood in front of her. She had briefly recalled her name being spoken to her by the other wolves. The bloody scene in front of her by the wolf named Cyrus had not been enough to cause her distress. After living in Viet-Et-Mort’s mansion for years, it had been common. She couldn’t find anything that grossed her out anymore. However, upon opening her eyes, the scene was no longer in the woods. Her eyes widened with horror as she startled and jolted upright, only to gently pushed back down. As Luna turned to face the individual, she let out a hoarse cry of fear.

”Shh, no, you’re okay now, Ms. Luna. It’s okay,” The women’s face peered into her terrified violet eyes with warmth. ”We are giving you fluids to flush the venom out quicker and diphenhydramine to help stop your throat from swelling shut."

Luna stared at her, the fear palpable in her eyes. She tried to speak but all that was emitted by her was faint rasping. ”I would advise you not to speak right now, sweetheart. Your throat is in bad shape.” Luna stared around as she laid down, her mind reeling. This was not the mansion; did this mean she had escaped? She stared around and managed to swallow, albeit it being difficult. She rested her head down and sighed as she stared at the woman in front of her. ”Worried about where you are, huh? You’re in Liam Donovan’s werewolf pack campgrounds. They saved you and brought you back. I’m here to tend to you. My name is Marceline, or Marcy for short. I'm the veterinarian werewolf around here.” Luna stared at the woman's sweet smile and nodded carefully, as not to harm her neck. There was an IV in her hand she began to notice, trying to flush the venom in her system. She stared at the ceiling, unable to help trembling. As she tried to calm her fear and anxiety, she felt her mind beginning to drift off…

What kind of hell was she in now, Luna wondered? Golden lie promises and nothing but kindness had been the start of some of her worst memories. She was still trembling, unable to help herself. What would these werewolves do with her now? She shuddered again and swallowed hard, unable to stop herself from crying silently. How could Desiree have done such a horrendous act? Luna felt sick inside. She had eventually trusted the women against her own instincts. She should have tried running away the first day, but to where? There hadn’t been anywhere to go, and Desiree had been sugary sweet until Luna had opened up. She gritted her teeth and glanced around as she watched werewolves moving in and out of the trailer.

Luna tore her gaze away and wondered if death would be a better suited fate at this point. She didn’t know what to do with herself. How could she trust anyone again? She began to tap her fingers on the bed she laid on, unable to shut her eyes or even her breathing. She was going to go mad if she had to stay here any longer.
