Yeah, she is. She designed the Birdcage before she was freed, and currently acts independently. So she's not super famous, but is known for that and is quickly gaining popularity and recognition.
Dragon is a thing, but she's definitely new on the scene and hasn't made a big name for herself yet, and definitely isn't recognized as "the world's greatest tinker" that she'll be known as later.

Samuel Raven had tracked the sound he had heard to a bakery nearby. Taking shelter behind some rubble he had to assume was leftover from... Whatever caused that giant hole in the ground, he began observing the individuals within the shop through the window, from afar. Quietly and stealthily as the magician could, he remained out of sight, finding a single hole to look through while the rest of the debris kept his body well hidden. Inside he saw a very... Interesting couple. The more obvious one appeared to be a walking hammerhead shark, with robotic limbs attached. Concentrating, he tried to sense the creature's source, but nothing came to him. It wasn't supernatural in origin. That meant that it had to be scientific. Wow. A walking cyborg shark. That's some real comic book sci-fi shit right there.

The second, while not as in-your-face, was still quite noticeable and peculiar, and Sam's senses told him a great deal more about this particular creature. She was tall, and very attractive, but the numerous tails were the real attention grabber. Damn, that'd be a way to get a crowd's attention. He was sure he could use that in a show. Well anyway, he recognized her as a kitsune. Specifically a one, two, three, four... Nine? Nine tailed fox. He had to count the tails to be certain. He'd never seen one of these things before, but Japanese mythology was riddled with kitsune. So that's what the new sensation was! When in the presence of a vampire, Samuel could taste ash. When around a werewolf, he could smell dog fur. Now he knew what to associate with the kitsune, if he would ever see another one again in his lifetime: a very subtle tactile feeling of softness. Interesting.

Wherever Samuel was, these creatures had absolutely no compunction in being out in the open. Was this weird, large city some sort of refuge for supernatural beings to gather, away from humanity? No, that didn't make any sense. The place was giant and largely abandoned. If that were the case, it'd have been constructed thousands of years ago, yet so much of it looked new. So then what were these two doing? He couldn't hear them from inside the bakery, not unless he decided to transform, but that took far too much energy to maintain. For now, he could only observe.

The magician tried to read their lips to get an idea of what they were talking about, but it was fruitless. The kitsune wasn't facing his direction often enough to get more than the odd syllable, and the cyborg shark thing... Well, it was a shark. Who in the world would be familiar enough with intelligent, cyborg, anthropomorphic sharks to understand their lip movements? Frustrated, but not without determination, Samuel waited.

After a bit, Sam's patience was rewarded. The kitsune and shark-bot left the bakery, though not without packing a bag full of bread and pastries first. As they exited, Samuel noticed a third member of their little entourage--a dog. Hopefully it didn't smell his presence. He couldn't take the risk that they were antagonistic. There was no telling what the kitsune could do, and that shark-bot had a very large cannon. He did not want to mess with them unless absolutely necessary. Thankfully the dog didn't seem to notice the lurking presence of the beast. Good. Excellent. Melt into the darkness and disappear like the illusionist that you are, Samuel.

Carefully, methodically, Raven followed behind, but not too closely. He made sure to stay downwind just in case the dog could pick up his scent, and he didn't want to risk getting close enough to be heard. He was stealthy to be certain, but he couldn't eliminate sound altogether. Maybe if he learned how to fly without physically transforming his body, then he'd have a better time with such things. For now... Slowly and carefully it was. He made sure to time his steps with those of the robo-shark. Surely its massive bionic limbs and great stomping would overpower any sound he could make, even in the event he misstepped. So far so good, but damn if it wasn't bothersome he couldn't hear their conversation. If they were even having a conversation. This wasn't helpful in the least!

Inwardly sighing in frustration, the beast witnessed his quarry come to a halt before the enormous hole. They seemed to be passing a few words between one another. Samuel risked it, and moved in a bit closer. "-until we're down there. Follow me, Brucie." Ah, so Sharktron 5000 had a name. Brucie? That felt so ordinary. So mundane. Did this creature have no comprehension of how amazing it was? The complete lack of style was somewhat befuddling to the showman. Maybe... Maybe it wanted a normal life? Like someone else you know, maybe? Sam grunted to himself. Well they were about to descend into the giant hole. Would he follow? Excellent question. Climbing down, even if there was enough of a path to walk, would leave him completely exposed. There was no way in Hell they couldn't see him coming if they spared so much as a single glance back, which of course they would at some point. Though it pained him, though it went against every survival instinct he had, Samuel made the executive decision to reveal himself, though not before calling upon his Needs Must atavism to mark the kitsune.

"E-excuse me?" he sheepishly called out, taking on the role of a confused refugee type. Ah, acting. His calling before magic. Time for a convincing performance. "Excuse me, ma'am? Uh... Big... Shark... Guy?" Big shark guy? Are you kidding Sam? You're confused and lost, not a plebeian! Speak like the educated man that you are, no matter how many times you need to add a nervous stutter! "I'm uh, I'm, you see, oh wow you're big and scary. Um, do you know where we are? Like, how I got here?"
The Cereal Killer - Well That Just Happened!

As Oren's drone spittered up, up, and away, Runch beamed a great big smile, waving happily as it lifted itself to a higher point of surveillance. Once he felt the drone was no longer in earrshot, the pirate captain dropped his arm, allowing the aches of the "flesh grafting" to show on his face. Just because he could take an ungodly amount of punishment didn't mean he particularly enjoyed the accompanying pain. Still, he was thankful to Motley Crue for providing such a magnanimous act of generosity. That said, the frown that overtook K. Runch's usually happy and jovial face had nothing to do with the long, hard fought battle that so recently ended.

"Normally I'm one to give trust and respect until you lose it," he spoke lowly, in hopes that the drone's microphone couldn't pick up his words. "But that announcer's statements sound extra suspicious to me. College folk are supposed to be educated and experiment, right? I wouldn't have come if I had known they didn't know what'll happen to the souls when all's said and done. I don't particularly care for this." Runch then rolled his neck, stretched his back, and popped his joints with multiple loud crack sounds that could have been mistaken for small arms fire. In a second his demeanor had completely transformed back into the friendly and chuckling fellow he was known to be.

"Omnomnomnom! That was great fun! I can't wait to see what he's got in store for us tonight, right? Omnomnom! I wonder who's up to cross spoons with me tomorrow? Speaking of which, time to go find my spoonsaber!" Runch, completely ignoring Motley's previous criticism about the sheer size of the catacombs, tossed aside the cereal-formed makeshift swords and headed deeper into the passages. As the light from the exit faded, he formed a new glow-in-the-dark lantern from his left hand. Was he really doing this? What new spore of madness was this?! That sword was lost! The catacombs go for miles, sprawling out in all directions, and his weapon could have ended up anywhere! It was going to be completely, utterly impossible for him to stumble across the right path in this labyrinthine complex of the de-

"Found it!" Or he could have the devil's luck and be right back in less than two minutes. How the hell was that even possible? Runch came running back into the sarcophagus room holding his trusted and beloved spoonsaber in his right hand, guided by the lantern in his left. Wow. He really did find it. The whole situation felt almost... Comical.

"Ah, there we go. I never would have felt complete without it. Naked as a peeled orange, you might say! Omnomnom! Now mates, I say we go exploring! You never know what wonders and treasures may be around! I'd have never found the wishing machine early if I hadn't been poking my mustache every which way in this city, omnomnomnom!"

The Murder - An Uninvited Guest

@kapuchu

Where was this? It had been a night much like any other. Samuel Raven had put on a show for hundreds of fans, spent ten hours avoiding sleep, inevitably gave in, and then... He woke up in a strange place he had never seen before. The magician sat atop of a colorful building surrounded by many others in a city he wasn't familiar with. Had he accidentally crossed over into the Primordial Dream in his sleep? No, he knew the Primordial Dream. That was the source of his power, of his soul. It felt more like home than his own house, even if he'd never admit such a thing aloud. Yet this place felt surreal, almost dreamlike in how absurd the place was. Had he been kidnapped and placed on this rooftop by some idiotic soul thinking he'd get a ransom? If so, that person made the biggest mistake of their life. Samuel Raven was no ordinary celebrity, and he was rarely in a forgiving mood.

Looking up, Samuel could see and smell the telltale signs of a storm, one that had recently passed through. A big one, too. Interesting. It was just like that torrential downpour he had experienced the other night in his hometown of Seattle. That had basically been a hurricane. But this? The city felt like it had gone through something much worse. Samuel stood up, sniffing the air and turning his gaze to the streets. He appeared to be in some sort of shopping district which felt completely abandoned. He closed his eyes and listened. The wind was light, but carried with it the sounds of... Eating. Yes, eating. So somebody was nearby. Well, that somebody would have the honor and privilege of meeting the Stunning Samuel Raven. If they didn't have the answers to his questions... Well, he had ways.

First he needed to get the lay of the land. Many buildings around him were far too tall to properly see over. Hm. Troublesome. Well, there was one surefire way around that problem. Sam concluded that there wasn't anybody in the area that could see it, so the decision, while made with reluctance, was an easy one. Taking a deep breath, Samuel exhaled and shed his humanity. The body of the magician broke apart into dozens of smaller pieces. At the same time flesh bubbled and morphed. Skin grew feathers, bone became beak and talon, hundreds of little eyes formed. In under a second he had become his namesake. A great flock of birds, a murder, had replaced the human figure that had stood up on the roof.

The many crows flew upward into the sky, staying bunched together but facing every which ways. So many eyes took in so much of his surroundings all at once. Shops yes, many many shops of all kinds of sizes, colors, shapes, etc., but in the distance his avian eyes picked up things far beyond. Old historical landmarks, churches, the ocean, metal buildings, a horribly immolated tree of gargantuan size, and curiouser still: a great big hole nearby. The murder flocked to the cobblestone streets below, fusing together into a single being once more. Feathers receded, eyes closed up, and once more the magician known across the USA as Samuel Raven stood alone, no traces of the birds anywhere.

"Almost no life... This entire city... Is abandoned. It's huge, though." He barely spoke at a whisper, contemplating to himself. With so few people here, were the others like him? Did they just... Wake up here? He'd find out soon. Cautiously, but with great purpose, Samuel Raven began the walk toward the nearest life he sensed in the area. It was fine if they moved around. He was a bird of prey, a natural born hunter. Nobody escapes the Murder.
Going to try to get a post up today at lunch.
Wards - Where Does He Get all those Wonderful Toys?

@BCTheEntity@yoshua171@solokolos@Lugubrious@Old Amsterdam

"Elliot," Decoy began, with a stern tone clear through the thick Japanese accent. "Remember to watch your manners. Insulting your team breaks down trust. I am glad you appreciate your studies and do well, but remember who always has your back."

With that bit of chastising done, the hologram turned its attention toward the Wards as a whole. All of the team had showed up promptly, as to be expected. No doubt they were tired of being cooped up, restricted only to training and academics instead of the superheroing they had all signed up for. Messiah's question was quite apt, if it was only half hearted. "Now that everyone is present, it's time that you all got your gifts from me. I've been working overtime in order to get these completed for you, which is impressive since I need to perform regular maintenance on this entire building as well as your holographic communications interfaces. It's a good thing I can't sleep!" The hologram began making typing motions in the air, no doubt whatever sensor that tracked the real Decoy was translating the motions directly to them, even if they didn't get to see the computer he was at. The whole thing would have looked incredibly silly to an outsider.

A couple of seconds later, five presents seemed to phase into the room, each one wrapped in unique wrapping paper with individualized bows and name tags. Well, it would be incorrect to say that they phased into the room and more appropriate to say that the light bending around them ceased to camouflage their presence. "Inside you will find one of my holographic decoys, the same kind of projection disks that I make for the full fledged Protectorate heroes. If you're ever in a bind and need a distraction, you can activate these devices and slide them out, where they'll project a life-like hologram of you, complete with sound. Additionally, each comes with three settings for three different poses based on your individualized fighting styles. The first setting is the same for everyone, it projects an image of you simply standing still, but the other two are quite dynamic and unique."

Decoy allowed the Wards to open their gifts and marvel at his inventions. Inside each wrapped giftbox was indeed a disk, about four inches in diameter and half an inch thick. It was made of a metallic alloy not yet categorized in modern science books, and in the center of the disk was a single black lens projector. Along the outer edge of the disk were four buttons, but none of them were labeled. The object was also incredibly lightweight, only feeling slightly heavier than the glass lens. Whatever it was that Decoy used to make these things, it was amazing.

"They can only be activated if you have one of my holographic communications interfaces. As long as you're wearing your communicator, each button will project its label. They should read 'Setting 1,' 'Setting 2,' 'Setting 3,' and 'Off.'" In order to demonstrate, the hologram of Decoy's body broke apart, then reformed into a projection of the devices. Like an idiot's "how to" guide, it showed the Wards a glove covered hand waving over the buttons, which then projected out the labels. The image of the hand then pressed the "setting 2" button and the display zoomed out and reoriented itself so the projector was facing directly up. A new image appeared above the device, showing Inkscape spraying a massive cloud of ink gas. As soon as this was done, the hologram collapsed in no itself and reformed into the image of Decoy once again.

"And you'll be able to make use of your new equipment on tonight's mission. Any questions?"

The Minutemen - Feels Like a Noir

The young lady looked to be feeling a bit overcrowded, now that all of the Minutemen were coming out from wherever they had been before to stand nearby. She bit her lip with the slightest twinge of anxiety, but a glance over to the wing cap that G4M3R had been working on seemed to relax her. She gave a deep breath, then spoke in a calm, sultry voice. "Well, it's the Community. They've been harassing my family's shop, asking for protection money and whatnot. You know, standard gang bullshit. Last night they really busted up my father while I was out getting groceries and said... They said they'd be back today at noon to pick up what we owe them. Or..."

The woman trailed off for a second, recomposing herself. She sighed and steadied herself on the counter. "Or we'd end up owing them, and the hospital. According to my dad, they made it sound like they were going to come back in big numbers, and bring some of their bigshots, like Xolotl." She took a second to scan the room. Finding a couch she could sit on, the woman took a seat, crossing her legs. She pulled out some lipstick from her purse and reapplied it. "My name is Sheila Jones. My father is Donald Jones. We live with my aunt, Genivieve Gutierrez, and her four year old daughter Lucille. You can find our store at 1516 North Colfax Avenue."
Gonna try to update the teams today during lunch. It'll be a mad dash, but I think I can manage. That being said, I have a question for hte Jacks. @yoshua171@BCTheEntity@Eklispe@floodtalon@Old Amsterdam do you need me to push you forward a little bit, or are you still conversing amongst yourselves with what kinds of backup plans you're developing?

Unfortunate as it was, even this delicious and amazing pizza could not lift Carmelita's spirits. It was good for the first twenty minutes, but she was just bored by the taste after that. In that twenty minutes she had only gotten two bites out of it. Funny, before the incident that gave her powers, she would have told you that getting bored of pizza was impossible, that it was the god of foods. A great many of her opinions had changed since then.

As everyone gathered round to slowly, ever so slowly devour their food at a crawl, the Latina girl had an opportunity to contemplate her companions. She had undoubtedly put more thought into them than they had put into her. Not that that was any big surprise considering her condition. Of course, while she had far more time to think about the team, she had just as much experience together as they all did. In fact, they were in a better position than she was when it came to judging the other teens. The earliest impressions they had made on one another weren't that long ago, still fresh in the new Titans' minds. All that is, except for the partial speedster. For her those couple months had been years, and she'd long forgotten the little details.

So what was a girl to do, trapped in slow motion with nothing entertaining going on? She made up stories. Played out different scenarios in her head starting the other team members. Sometimes she forgot what was real and what was just played in the television of her mind. Today she had to entertain herself a lot, as the fluctuating perception she had was especially terrible. On a good day, she would perceive the world as four times slower. Today was not a good day, about twenty times slower.

That's why she was the first to notice the lights were going out. To the others it would be instant, and no doubt very confusing. To Carmelita it was a gradual dimming that took a few seconds to complete. Their power was off the grid, so it couldn't be shut off. That meant there was only one possibility. The Batman was here.

Accel reacted first, as was usual. Her intention was to get to Red Arrow and empower him with Speed Force energy his heightened senses let him see almost like normal in the darkness, which meant he was the best recipient of her gift. Only there was a problem. No matter how good Accel's perception and reflexes were, her overall speed was still normal. So with Red sitting on the opposite end of the table, Phantom Girl got to him first. Dammit Katty! Move! MOVE! Don't phase him, we need him to scout, no no no! AAAARGH! She was too late. Now that Phantom Girl had done her thing, Accel couldn't touch Red Arrow.

Time for plan B. So what was plan B? Good question. She'd have to improvise. Well, improvise wasn't a great word for it. Technically she always had the time to think things through. So what now? Darkness had overtaken the room, so she could no longer see. Who was closest to her seat again? G-Man? Jude? Which one was it again? And which would best benefit from her power? Well for the moment rectifying the problem of vision came first. She placed a hand on the table, and vibrated. It began to shake and shake and shake faster and faster, deep on a molecular level. She filled it with enough energy that the entire table was now glowing a bright red hot. It wasn't much light, but it was something for the others to work with.
Alright, got us updated! And with that, I'd like to make an announcement for everyone. @Old Amsterdam@BCTheEntity@Banana@floodtalon@Asura@Spiffy@yoshua171@Leaves I've tagged you all to ensure that everyone sees this. Unfortunately I'll be having to employ a time limit on posting, something I normally am loathe to do, but has become necessary to prevent the slowing of the game. Basicaly, you all have 7 days to post from the time that I update. Not posting means that my next update will essentially ignore your character, and will be a strike against you as a player. Of course exceptional circumstances are allowed, so long as you communicate those circumstances to me either by OOC, PM, Skype, or Discord, whatever avenue you prefer. I'm not unreasonable, after all. So that being said, I will need everybody to post here acknowledging this new rule that I am implementing within the next several days. Same rule, 1 week and failure to acknowledge this rule will mean you get booted. As of right now, the only one that is exempt from receiving a strike based on these grounds is Yoshua, because he lives in Florida and well, you should know what's going on there as long as you don't live under a rock. :P
Aboard the King Crab, numerous men charged forward at Dr. Feya, swords, maces, and other weapons drawn. Her clever shockwave tactic knocked them all aside, not a single armed man escaping the force. A few went overboard, but most were only knocked around and quickly got back up. Meanwhile, actual trees had begun sprouting up the front of the vessel, warping the woo and causing it to begin a slight tilt. Yet another problem arose, as the Rum Runner had fired upon them! The first shot was still too far away to get a good aim, so it splashed harmlessly in the water, the flame around the cannonball starved of oxygen in the process. However it wasn't long before the next few shots were to come. Faced with so many dilemmas at once, The Vice had to prioritize his problems.

"Detain the woman with minimal force!" he barked out. "I need men to raise the Shell Shield!"

"Sire yes sir!" a number of sailors cried out. A goo number of them broke away from Feya to head to some sort of mechanism on the bow. Meanwhile, Krabbe himself withdrew his sword and held it in his left, non-pincer covered hand. With speed not normally associated with a person covered in as much bulky armor as he was, he dove overboard. As the bounty hunter dropped, he sliced and slashed at each of the trees that were now growing out of his ship, killing them before their growth could become too much of a nuisance on his prized ship. Then he reached the water, splashing downward and rising up to float. He gripped the front of the King Crab using his pincer arm, and with three deft slashes he severed the vine connecting each ship together. Satisfied for the moment, he sheathed his blade one more time and spoke into the pocket den den mushi he still had, his words echoing across the sea for all to hear. "Shrimp Brigade, I need you to prioritize the first mate! Crush the Mushroom Kid as quickly as possible, before he does catastrophic damage to my beloved ship!"

Yeah, he was pissed off. Meanwhile, Lilliana's new invention globbed up one of the King Crab's cannons as they quickly approached one another. Unfortunately the rest of her shots, as well as Slick's second flaming cannonball, were simply not destined to accomplish their tasks. The sailors at the bow of the ship worked hard to spin a wheel, the effects of which were apparent for all to see. Creating a small tidal wave, a shining crimson object rose up from beneath the ocean waves. Laughing, Krabbe hitched a ride on his secret defense. Within a few seconds it was in place: the entire ship's hull had been surrounded by several segmented plates of a giant crab shell! Slick's cannonball struck the red carapace, but bounce off harmlessly. Lilliana's gum shot stuck not to the cannons that she aimed for, but the defensive shell. Well, at least with that shell in place they couldn't fire those cannons back!

That's when Lilliana got aboard the ship, and made her threats. If ever there was a fun mechanism to wreak havoc on, it would be that Shell Shield!

"Not so fast, pirates!" Krabbe had made it back to the top deck. As water dripped all over his armored body, he slowly approached the duo of Feya and Lilliana. One hand was gripping his sheathed blade, while the other pointed at the two menacingly with his claw. "Mechanized Angel Lilliana and... Someone else. Whatever. Give in now, or I will squeeze you into surrender." The claw snapped a couple times with enough force that the two women could feel the air around them being distorted. "You should know who I am, and that you have no chance of beating me. I am the man who killed the giant crab of the South Blue with my bare hands! This armor, this claw, even my ship itself, were all constructed as a monument to my victory that day! Ever since I have remained unbeaten by any pirate scum, or mouthy marines that don't know how to properly respect a bounty hunter of my quality! So for your own health, I'd suggest walking yourselves right into my brig. After all, I get the same bounty no matter how many limbs I crush from your bodies!"

As this was all occurring, the Rum Runner had problems of its own to deal with. More specifically, down in the cargo hold where a group of five brightly colored fighters emerged from a torpedo and posed in bizarre, wacky ways while music played for them. They met with three members of the Red Rums, even though they were only aware of two. Caesar wasted absolutely no time in sending out a volley of electro towards Violent, the dual pistol wielder, but the attack never made it to his target. Fast as one could see, Green stuck out the metal trident he held, intercepting the electric charge with the three pronged weapon like a lightning rod. The electricity fizzled out as it connected with the rubber grip.

As this was happening, captain Cedric Boone showed up on the scene and unloaded a volley of his shotgun shot into the crowd of Shrimp Brigade. Nobody expected Yellow to swing his heavy chain-ball right in front of the point blank shot, catching all of the pellets on one side of his hefty weapon. It appeared these five, while incredibly flamboyant and weird, had some truly capable combat skills and were not to be trifled with. So trifle Dirk did not. As one that melded into the shadows and secrets of the world, he went completely unnoticed by the bright, in your face attitude of this group. He managed to successfully sneak up on Yellow and plant his kitchen knife exactly where he had intended. The weapon sunk deep into Yellow's collar, near the neck and the warrior let out a massive scream of pain! Blood splattered out as Dirk withdrew the weapon, severely injuring, maybe even crippling the ball and chain user.

"I've got your back!" Blue shouted, flipping back over Yellow's head with a flourish. He landed near Dirk, and searched the stacks of rum cases for his target. Dirk had already become one with the shadows again. "Get your ass back out here so I can plant my foot up it!" Blue shouted in frustration. He held up his spiked knuckles menacingly.

"Shrimp Brigade, I need you to prioritize the first mate! Crush the Mushroom Kid as quickly as possible, before he does catastrophic damage to my beloved ship!" The order was clear for all to hear.

"You heard Krabbe!" Red called out, pointing to the ceiling like his was the drill that would pierce the heavens. "Keep these losers off of my back. I'll go see if a skeleton can live without its skull!" With that, he leaped toward Green, who held his trident out parallel to the floor, and launched their leader like a complicated and dangerous game of leapfrog right over the Red Rums' heads. In a second Red was already up the stairs heading for the top deck.

Bang! A single bullet whizzed right passed Boone's head, coming dangerously close to hitting him in the ear. The sound of shattered glass behind him told the captain all he needed to know about where it had actually landed.

"I hear you're the sharpshooting captain of this crew!" Violent exclaimed, holding one pistol up by his head and another outstretched, the pistol he had just shot. "I didn't have to miss. I like a challenge, a gentleman's duel. You in?"

A second later, Shrimp Brigade Red had made it to the upper deck and spotted the two remaining Red Rum pirates. Slick manning one of the cannons, and first mate Bonesword currently on the helm of the ship. This would be too easy. "'Ello there, Bonehead!" he called out, taking a most bizarre and befuddling pose. "Shrimp Brigade Red, Voice of the Heavens! Here to bring you to justice!"
