as a patreon reward I will read your least favorite person's handmade custom tabletop RPG homebrew and ask them why they didn't just run it in 5e instead

I started RP before double digit age but you couldn't have gotten an admission I was under 18 under threat of death. Kids just casually admiting it online now is wild.

Iraleth Kyrios

Iraleth's disappointment only grew as Chloe fell to her first assault. That was all it took? Truly? The fact that so many prospective students hadn't gotten past her was a poor sign. She could have defeated Chloe without resorting to invoking her Ethos. Her bolts of light had deliberately not been enhanced with the Inheritor's power, and even on foot, Iraleth wouldn't have allowed Chloe to get into grappling range given what she knew of the prissy bitch's Ethos.

The knight spared a glance over to Chloe's seeming companion, but decided against engaging him for the moment. While he was almost certainly complicit in the girl's deeds, the fact remained that he hadn't inflicted too much harm on everyone around him. The problem itself was taken care of for the moment. She still had to get back to finding the auditorium. Iraleth turned, and flew back from whence she came.

With the benefit of flight, Iraleth arrived back at the plaza just in time to see a horde of mannequins bearing kitchen implements, of all things, charging at a lone girl. Time to even the odds, then. She descended at full speed, her shield braced in front of her. The Inheritor's armor divebombed into the midst of the horde, knocking several mannequins flat before Iraleth rose from her crouch, her sword and shield a flash of steel as she started to tear through the wave of animated dolls.

"Provide support, or find us the route to the auditorium!" Iraleth barked behind her towards Hildegunde, several rays of light crashing down from the sky to try to thin the crowd out further. "Either or, I care not!"

@Sifr
@Psyker Landshark Same picture indeed.

Also, just to save us a potential extra round of posts, Iraleth has no plans for Hildegunde, does she? Hildegunde gets a free pass into the Plaza?

Nah she's not going to do anything. Probably start helping clear out the mannequins before moving in.
<Snipped quote>

Y'know, this is totally the place where she gets stampeded to death by everyone running over her to get down the bridge.

Or just curbstomped by some people looking to get payback.
Considering taking a crack at creating a character sheet. Aside from Gundam and AC, are there other inspirations? I'd like to find a mech design that fits in the universe.

I think the tl;dr in terms of design inspiration is real robots, but not to the extent of, say, Battletech. As long as it isn't close to a super robot or a brick on legs it should be fine. Of course, Vita could also say a brick on legs is fine, who knows?
I really debated whether or not I should have Iraleth try to shield bash Chloe clean off the bridge and probably kill her. It would've been the big funni.
Iraleth Kyrios

The comedy of errors went on. Iraleth set herself to confront the girl, evidently going by the name of Chloe, before a knife stuck into the frilly dress-wearer's back and an apparent friend came to reinforce her with his own Ethos. She tsked beneath her helmet. Whatever that golden giant was, it was a better match for her than this girl. But she'd already set her path.

For a moment, Iraleth legitimately debated whether to end Chloe's life. She'd killed before, accompanying her father to deal with criminals and cultists. If this girl's Ethos was irreversible, it was more than enough cause to slay her for crippling dozens before their time. And yet...

She found herself imagining the High Bishop's face. His likely disappointment that Iraleth would cause a fatality at his new school, on the very first day, no less. All because she decided to enact her own judgement before higher authorities did. Fine. She'd settle for beating the brat unconscious.

The other half-elf came lurching towards Iraleth at ordinary, mundane speeds, and the knight found herself disappointed. Iraleth flapped her wings of light and rose into the air, staying out of reach.

"Your arrogance disgusts me. Count yourself fortunate that I will leave your fate in the hands of others." She spat downward before manipulating light Essence into divine magic to send half a dozen holy bolts crashing down towards Chloe. Given that Iraleth was refraining from killing her, she deliberately underpowered her magic, not even enhancing it with her Ethos, so that they would aim to give light burns to her hands and ankles and prevent Chloe from moving her limbs, rather than incinerating her outright in holy fire.
Damn I was looking to make everything worse
Kayliss Lambert

He didn't believe her. At least, not completely. The man was difficult to read, but it truly sounded like he still suspected her somewhat. Kayliss just knew this was going to be trouble in the future. Fortunately, Istvan was the one to end the conversation himself, likely suspecting he wouldn't be able to get anything further out of her if he pressed. She'd take what she could get. Her own objective in speaking to him had long been completed. The rest was just damage control.

"No, thank you." Kayliss replied quietly, ignoring the rich aroma of the coffee. She wasn't exactly fond of the beverage. It was acceptable in taste, but the stimulant effects weren't something she desired constantly.

"So long as you understand where things stand, I won't keep you. Good day, Sir Istvan." With that said, she turned and left the kitchen. A peek into the hallway afterward would reveal her complete absence, somehow.
