Personality: You may remember that one kid on the playground when you were young - the "weird" one nobody wanted to hang out with? You may have approached this kid and found them weirder than expected - collecting bugs, talking about things they couldn't possibly actually own, maybe even a bit too in-your-face in their curiosity about you? Now cross that with the playground bully - who knew they ran the playground as long as no adults were looking, who'd happily push you off the jungle gym so they could sit on top, who somehow managed to avoid punishment and instead got meaner. That gives you some idea of what to expect from Necrowisemon, who's a nasty piece of work that never learned to mature.

Equipment:

• Parallel Visage - this mask, thought to be the remnants of the legendary Parallelmon, seems to boost Necrowisemon's innate power to that of a Sovereign's level.
• Sovereign Cores (12) - stolen from the Four Sovereigns, these cores currently put Necrowisemon above almost every entity in the digital world in terms of power.

Attacks: Elpis Echo (can record an attack of any digimon level and play it back, aimed at his enemy); Poison Needle (fires dozens of record needles coated in a strong poison that can supposedly even kill a Mega level); Victrola Smash (summons a large mallet, with an end in the shape of a victrola, and uses it to smash enemies)

Marineangemon

Digimon Species: Marineangemon

Appearance:

Gender: Male

Digivolution Line: Petitmamon- Pucchiemon- Lilimon- Marineangemon

Personality: Marineangemon is a fan of second chances - and third and fourth and fifth, even. After all, most beings according to him are at least decent folk who just can't help but make a mistake or two. In practice, this has led to several scars, some dedigivolutions just to stabilize, a loss of food, and a possibly-overprotective sister. Still, he's persistent and probably has helped just as many digimon turn their lives around with his patience, care, and consideration. He's a healer at heart and so has sworn off using violent techniques to defend himself. That's not to say he doesn't or can't defend himself.

Attacks: Ocean Love (creates heart bubbles that can calm those struck by them, or protect those encased in them), Smiling Face (heals his allies)

Appearance:

Gender: Female

Digivolution Line: Petitmamon- Ninjamon- Piximon

Personality: If you ask Piximon, it's all good and well to be optimistic, but someone's gotta have their feet metaphorically on the ground, and it almost always ends up being her. As such, she can come across as bitter and mean, but in her mind, she's just being realistic. It just so happens that her vision of realism prioritizes her and Marineangemon's safety over others, and she refuses to apologize for that. It also so happens that such vision also prioritizes safety over morals, so it's difficult to take the high ground in any verbal spar with her - if it prevents further harm from coming to her and Marineangemon, then she's in the right, and no argument will sway her otherwise. The only one who really can argue with her is her brother, Marineangemon, which especially as of late has left her frustated and in quite a mood.

Attacks: Bit Bomb (conjures up a flying bomb shaped like a bat made from a computer virus), Fairy Tale (attacks with her spear), Pic Trick (creates a huge star to strike its opponent)

Digimon: The Parallel Visage

For centuries, the Digital World has known nothing but peace. There have been small incidents in the past, handled by humans known as 'digidestined' while the Sovereigns kept peace in their territory and Yggdrasil kept the land alive. Even then, there was no problem so great that the digimon could not call upon a Sovereign or the Royal Knights to keep them safe. Lives were rarely, if ever, actually in danger of being lost, and no damage done could not be fixed with time and energy. Truly, the Digital World was one of prosperity and well-being.

This was all before the Sovereigns vanished, replaced by unusually powerful Megas known only as the Tyrants. They disrupted the land, destroying the balance of their new territories according to their own selfish whims. With the Sovereigns nowhere to be found and unable to answer the calls of the ailing digimon, Yggdrasil sent out what Royal Knights it could to help.

Once they all left, the demonic Necrowisemon attacked the Server Tree, intent on making Yggdrasil's power his own. Worse yet, he had Sovereign cores - he had been the one responsible for making the Sovereigns vanish, a monumental task achieved solely to distract the Royal Knights from his true target. It was only the quick actions of Qilinmon, taking Yggdrasil far away from the Server Tree, that robbed Necrowisemon of his victory. Doing so, however, forced Yggdrasil to sever its connection to the Server Tree and allow the Tyrants to execute their full wrath on the lands they now claimed as their own. The Royal Knights were no longer able to contact each other or the Server Tree.

Yggdrasil and the Sovereigns are missing.

The Royal Knights are separated.

Necrowisemon has the Server Tree.

Rules:

• Be respectful of each other and each other's time. I am operating under the assumption that we all are capable of being mature and have real-world obligations. I may post a reminder from time to time, but it's more to ask that everything's alright and to keep track of things than a demand to post. In addition, I know there may be disagreements from time to time, both in and out of character. For out-of-character, please try to recognize people will have differing opinions and be mature; I will intervene if disagreements devolve into bullying. For in-character, unless there is reason to suspect OOC disagreements are leaking through, please keep in mind it's likely not personal.
• Related, if you can't post for a while, please let us know.
• I consider myself pretty flexible and willing to do different things if a player asks, but if I say no, odds are good you can't change my mind. Still, I'm willing to hear out most any idea.
• If you're confused by something, please ask either in thread or via PM.
• Rules are subject to change, though with notice.
• There are a couple of points we need to hash out:
  
  • the role of the humans (more direct like Frontier’s spirit evolution, more off to the side like Adventure/02 evolutions, or a mix like Tamer’s biomerge(1 vote))
  • locales visited (there are five major areas - the Server Tree, the North, the East, the South, and the West, but it’s somewhat undecided if the rp will cover the trips between these areas)

Points of Interest for players:

• Your goal will be to eliminate Tyrants, restore stability to each region, and discover what happened to the Sovereigns. Optional goals may include determining what Necrowisemon's next move is and how to separate him from the Sovereign cores he stole along with your digivices.
• First post will be in the Digital World, with your digivices being taken. Digivices are formed from some electronic item that was on your person when you arrived.
  
  • What happens after that is up to you guys: you can move on, or pursue the thieves. Regardless, you'll have some opportunity in the rp to retrieve your digivices. Moving on will, well, advance things more quickly. Pursuing the thieves will allow you to meet some very important NPCs.
• Humans, partner digimon, and wild digimon can also collect items - they can be equipped to a digimon's form to provide a new type of attack, a new weapon, armor, digivolution, etc. (think something like Tamers' card scanners but more permanent) They can also be swapped between digimon or 'stored' in the digivice.
• Regardless of whatever your digimon situation ends up being, beating a Tyrant will require some strategy.
• I intend to play any encountered Knights, though I am open to characterization suggestions. Don't expect a lot of direct help - their hands are full enough just trying to keep things stable.

“At least three of you, then? Man, how annoying.”

"Thanks, I get that a lot." Diarmi didn't even sound sarcastic, clambering to the top of the building he'd been clinging to. The other rooftop wasn't far at all, and the only other way to reach him felt a bit too much (like, ok, maybe it was a matter of 'hey that guy's human-shaped. that feels like murder' and maybe that wasn't entirely fair considering Diarmi had no issue swinging the ax through the bird-monsters, but flinging the ax at him just felt wrong). He crossed the gap to the next building with ease and took a moment to survey the gap between the current rooftop and the next, where the stranger stood.

"We'll be better when we can be face to face. Think we can put him to sleep." Agmundr sounded thoughtful, likely surveying the situation alongside the still-living boy. "Though there's a lot to be said for the element of surprise." Diarmi would've shrugged, if it wouldn't look like to everyone else he was shrugging at nothing. He was best at being the center of attention And it'd be wise to make the most of this chance.

"So, the purple stuff's anime?" he asked, purposefully mispronouncing the word in hopes of activating the man's "well actually" mode - the way people got when they knew better than you and you were so ignorant that it somehow managed to hurt them. "It's interchangeable, right? Because I saw some get scooped out of a woman and get put back in a guy when I axed one of your bird-people, let me tell you." He tried to casually swing the ax, nearly dropped it, and hoped the action went unnoticed. And also hoped that the knight-girl was doing something with the vase, and that he was holding the guy's attention successfully. "Those aren't the best you got, right?" The second the words exited his mouth, he regretted them - he'd read enough comics to know that only encouraged the bad guy to do something worse. Uh, salvaging, while he waited for Agmundr to tell him how to actually throw a punch so he could knock the guy out. "Because they're way too good for you, really."

Yup. Nailed it.

"If you're done chatting with the enemy, check your other hand," Agmundr said. Diarmi tried to shrug casually to steal a glance.

"I mean, that hair and outfit? Come on." He still had the ax, unchanged, in his left hand, but in his right hand were now... grains? He closed his fingers over them as he let his arms drop, fingers closing over the grains. They felt more like flour than sand.

"Those should incapacitate him." Oh, heck yeah. No cracking bones here, he wasn't quite ready for that.

"But, anyways, so if you-" Diarmi cut himself off, taking the long-planned (by his standards) jump and flinging the spores at the stranger.

@Dark Cloud Forgot to say, thanks for the compliment! I do like 'em a lot, but at the same time, I worry about the consequences of TWO half-blind characters, neither of whom likely have good motivation to invest into Wisdom, ya know?
