Okay now Brendan was unsure of what to make of this guy, creating a perfect world? That sounds fantasy enough in his mind but the thing that stuck with him was the statement that he made him better. What was he talking about? Was it his father? But that couldn't be it, he knew his father was assigned to being one of the gym leaders here and had called his mother and himself from Johto in order to live closer to him. In a way, that worked out for everyone.

Seeing this guy moving in a wilting manner and then he saw him smile and this still did not change anything of the guy. He still had a mixed vibe around him and so far talking did not clear this up at all. He didn't know the intentions of this person at all and at the same time all he could really do was to go along with what he was saying. "Well I do have pokemon with me." He stated. Though the way he asked for them was odd while he knew he could show this guy but he did not trust him. "But how do I know you won't harm them or me? As far as I see, you don't seem to have pokemon with you but they could be hidden on you." Brendan was trying to be as logical and smart as he could play this so in a way he could at least get a leg up on him for now.

Brendan was puzzled so far from the guy's behavior, it seemed not as normal boarding on unstable to his eyes. Though again this was a unfamiliar situation he found himself with in terms of this mysterious person. The person was not putting up a fight in any way, so he had no reason to call out any of his pokemon at all looking at him. Though hearing him kind of explain himself this was one of those situations when it seemed like talking was keeping things on a somewhat stable level. "Well I play those, but try to avoid being sucked in." Brendan replied though he did the air quotes around 'sucked in'. "I'm just here to explore and to have some fun outside, power isn't everything."

Well, he answered two of his questions so far. He was not here for conflict in anyway though he knew in cases it could not have been helped as of right now he would think back to some of the things this person was saying, though he would not try to give away too much right now in terms of his intentions until he had a better idea of what this person had in mind to do.

"Well..Emet, well that will be easier on the tongue for now anyways." He said before his thinking muse he cut off and he looked at him. "Well call me Brendan."

Jagged Pass had the reputation of a treacherous path, it was also what some people called a alternate way to Lavaridge Town as Trainers or Hikers have been on different levels of this place before. Though generally a quiet area Brendan was there on this day to do a bit of exploring and to check on the various pokemon that could be found there.

Pokedex and Pokemon in his arsenal for this task on behalf of himself and Professor Birch knowing he had more of a tendency to be into his fieldwork research more than anything else though Brendan cared for pokemon but made sure to have time for himself and for his pokemon as a whole, the feel of the grass on his legs when he walked through the wild grass, the fresh air and different environments he had traveled through he felt at times happier than most.

He was walking up the stairs to Mt. Chimney when something felt off, or something he did not really know for sure. Was it the air? He shook his head, he did not think that would be responsible for such a thing while he would look around first to see if it was what he felt was the wind but would be proven wrong. But a few more steps soon he saw what was a robed man in black, was he a threat? So far he was not disturbing the people here or causing destruction so that was a process of elimination crossed out. Plus hearing the ending to what he had to say also gave something of bad right now, what decision? What belonged to him or to this guy?

Brendan being the kind person he was he walked up to the person but not too close. "What's going on?" He asked as since he did not know what the guy was saying but figured to at least try to be a reasonable person.

I'm not sure what type of roleplayer I am

Well my two cents on this is I think it more of less what you feel is comfortable to you. In my experience I have been around the 1x1 section more with the occasional dip in the casual section and one time in the free section. I feel I'm at a mid-casual to high with capable learning without needing the flashy aspects of a label. I never really dipped into the advanced roleplay of RPG considering how momentum and morale can really swing overall for everyone here and plus I felt advanced was out of my comfort zone really. Even though I labeled myself as a mid to high casual with an potential for advanced I don't think labels matter really.
