Hey guys, heres a wee update for ya.

I'm gonna try to get an IC post up this weekend or earlier if I can.

Name: Matt Howard

Age: 17

Personality: Matt's a shy person who, under normal circumstances, stays out of conversation or social interaction if he can help it. That being said he enjoys being around people and listening to what they have to say, just not directly interacting with them. This mentality changes however when Matt's with his team. Matt finds solace in the fact that they are all in generally the same situation as one another and have common experiences in their heroic endeavours.

Brief Bio: Matt grew up idolizing the Power Rangers from years before just as his parents had when the Rangers were still in action. He collected whatever merchandise he could of the team and often times would try to lead whatever conversations he was having over to the topic of Power Rangers. This obsession lead Matt being generally ignored if not told off as other kids got tired of him going on and on about the singular topic. Eventually the glamour of the Rangers wore off for Matt but he was now left in a state where many of his peers would still generally ignore him and he would make no attempt to start a conversation due to his past of rejection.

Speed Demon

Arthur was up very early in the morning as the constant banter of the trapped L'Iego only allowed him a few actual stretches of sleep in the night. The voice was still something Arthur was getting used too but he was getting there. Arthur hoped that things would soon be back to normal after learning a bit more about demons from Zatanna and Constantine who had taken to teaching him more of about the arcane after his near death, though most of the training came from Zatanna as Constantine tended to keep to himself aside from the occasional joint meet up between himself, Constantine and Arthur.

Arthur entered the empty kitchen and got out one of the many cereals from the cupboard and poured himself a bowl of whatever it was. The teen went to work idly eating away at his breakfast as he mentally prepared for the day.

'Another day anot-' 'another day stuck within the confines of inferior, earthly flesh.' L'Iego interrupted as his constant belittlement continued. Arthur just kept quiet as he continued to eat and get ready for the day.

Later...

Arthur was in a bit of a bad mood for a multitude of reasons; little to no sleep, being told he had to be driven to school on the first day and a few more insignificant things. All in all Arthur was not mentally prepared for school today. Once getting to the school Speed Demon sluggishly disembarked from the van but not before giving Zatanna an appreciative wave.

'Why must we sit through your sickening mortal lessons? Surely theres other things you would rather be doing with your time?' the demon said in a bid to convince his unintentional captor to skip class.

'For once I think we're on the same page.' Arthur thought in response as he began to debate wether to heed the demon's advise or not. This decision was made for him however as Karlie suggested the idea first.

"I'm game." Arthur answered as he approached the two, ready to follow them to the mall. Despite his rocky start with the two yesterday, he still hoped to at least get on good terms with them to make working on a team easier. Arthur looked at the rest of the group in order to see their responses but Arthur suddenly winced in pain as L'Iego let out a scream in his head as his sight got to the twin Gem and Sia.

'What was that!' Arthur though angrily as he rubbed his temples in order to ease the headache that the demon had wrought.

'Twins. I. Hate. Twins.' L'Iego thought with a palpable amount of malice that made Arthur's skin crawl.

'Alright then. Didn't take the all powerful demon as one to have phobias.'

Power Rangers: Neo

Twenty-Four years ago the Power Rangers were assembled to stop the evil forces of Rita Repulsa, Rito Repulso and Lord Zed. Twenty-Four years ago five teens with attitude would have their lives changed in the blink of an eye as they were thrust into a life of heroics and righteousness. Twenty-One years ago the Power Rangers, having fought the forces of villainy for three long years in hundreds of battles, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers made a final push against Rita, Rito and Zed in an attempt to once more lock them away in the moon. Unbeknownst to the Rangers they had been influenced by Remlin, a newly met ally in their journey towards world domination, who had the ability to influence people through their dreams. The Rangers were successful in their act but in doing so had used their power to escalate a battle, resulting in the loss of their powers and the Power Rangers disappeared, having given up all of their power in order to protect the planet from evil once and for all. The world lived in relative peace for years thanks to the Power Ranger’s sacrifice. In April of 2017 an illegal weapon test was preformed on the moon’s surface which unintentionally broke open the seal that kept the evil group captive along with their numerous minions. Now Zordon has to call on a new generation of teens with attitude in order to save the planet from annihilation.

Hello and welcome to my Power Rangers RP interest check. I’m looking for around five players total for this RP but I would be willing to settle for three or four if there doesn’t seem to be enough interest to warrant a full team. This RP will also be using some tabletop elements in it’s fight scenes as well as a ‘season’ dynamic that I hope will give people some more incentive to continue the RP long term or at the very least give them an easy way out of the RP without derailing the rest of the RP. These two factors will be described better in it’s own category.

Synopsis

This RP will follow the events of a new team of Power Rangers (Power Rangers Neo) in an alternate time line to the television shows and movies. In this timeline the original Power Rangers had their powers revoked by Zordon after being manipulated into escalating a fight with Rita Repulsa, Rito Repulso, Lord Zedd and an original villain going by the name of Remlin (a dream manipulating/eating monster whom was directly responsible for the original Power Ranger’s fall from grace) which also resulted in the imprisonment of the four villains in the Moon. Now after 21 years of imprisonment the forces of evil are let loose on the world once again and in response Zordon makes the call for a force of five new teens to be Power Rangers.

Stats and Season Systems

First off let me thank @The Kid Lantern for allowing me to use an edit version of his Stat system that he’s been using for years.

Stat System

Rather than make rolls for things, every official attack is an automatic hit with some freeform-writing misses thrown in there if you want. Damage is set and movement is the same as in a normal casual RP.

This edited system utilizes only four actual stats:

(HP)Health: Pretty self-explanatory, this is how many hits you can take before kicking the bucket. You don’t actually invest any points in this and its just an addition of Strength and Speed (ST+SP=HP)

(ST)Strength: This governs the damage of any and all attacks (ranged, melee, Zord, etc). 1-4 allows you to deal one damage, 5-9 allows you to deal two damage and 10 allows you to deal three damage.

(SP)Speed: This will govern a two things; how many times you can dodge attacks per encounter (The amount of dodges is immediately proportional to your speed stat) and how many actions you can make per post (1-4 is three actions, 5-9 is four actions, 10 is five actions)

IQ: This is for the more techie stuff of the Ranger’s arsenal. IQ is used when calculating a Zord’s health (IQ+SP+ST=Zord HP) and how much health is used up when summoning a weapon (will be elaborated later on)(1-3 weapon summon uses up six HP, 4-7 weapon summon uses up four, 8-10 weapon summon uses up two)

Weapons will give you a boost to your attack (equivalent of +2ST) at the cost of your own health (which depends on your IQ).

Initially every character will start off with eight point to distribute into their Stats and will gain more points to spend every five points. Here’s a chart for your convince.

Level 1 - 8 points - 1-5 posts
Level 2 - 9 points - 6-10 posts
Level 3 - 10 points - 11-15 posts
Level 4 - 11 points - 16-20 posts
Level 5 - 12 points - 21-25 posts
Level 6 - 13 points - 26-30 posts
Level 7 - 14 points - 31-35 posts
Level 8 - 15 points - 36-40 posts
Level 9 - 16 points - 41-45 posts
Level 10 - 17 points 46-50 posts

Now when whatever monster we happen to be fighting decides to kick the fight into overdrive and grow, our teens with ‘tude will have to call on the awesome force of their Zords in order to form one of the mighty Megazords. The Megazords will have separate health for each Zord used in it’s construction though every player will have full control over the combined Megazord in their posts so long as their Zord’s health isn’t reduced to zero. If the Zord’s health is reduced to zero then that player loses control over the Zord though the other players are still able to use that player’s Zord in the Megazord robot formation.

Seasons System

The Seasons system will separate enemy encounters into ‘episodes’ which will ideally not last extremely long but still be entertaining and give us a narrative. The episodes will start with some time for character development then go into an initial encounter (then possibly more encounters and regroupings to add some extra suspense) and finish off with a Megazord fight. At the end of each episode, if a Player feels like they no longer want to continue the RP, they’ll be able to leave without disrupting the flow of the RP too much. At the end of certain amount of episodes there will be a season finally which will basically be a longer episode with a tougher fight and a lot more satisfaction (hopefully).
