"Was common where I grew up." Shina replied with a shrug. "Can't say for everyone else...but I didn't exactly grow up in what you humans might call a 'respectable environment'." She didn't elaborate more on that, though. No reason too go into too much detail about her rather...less than illustrious past. Well, it'd be that way to the humans at least probably, but it was the perfect life as far as she was concerned. Fighting, drinking, making friends...and repeat. And of course, beating up any sorry fool that decided to piss off her family and friends.

"And oi! I haven't robbed a bar since I was twenty in your human years, ya little twerp!" She shouted after Tessai as he walked past her. That was true, for the most part. Usually she was the one making sure little idiot Oni's who thought they were tough didn't cause trouble in local bars. Most bartenders liked having her around, if only because she had a bit of a reputation among some gangs and deterred some violence. Of course, there were still those bars she was banned from for causing havoc when she was younger - she made sure to make up for those damages, though.

Well, whatever. She doubted she was gonna be needed for this anyways, so she left her Kanabo in the MYO, following after Tessai as he left. If anything needed protecting, she'd just smack it silly with her martial arts. Wasn't like anything could withstand a one-ton punch to the face easily.

We'll see - it'd be interesting to see how being unable to actually kill someone would play out and change people. At the moment though, they can't remember who died if one of them does in fact, dies. Still not sure how that's supposed to entirely work without getting extremely complicated, though xD

I think it might be better if the ones who can revive after dying remember, but the NPCs and everyone else don't. But eh, just my two cents xD

I'ma be off for bed tonight. Gonna give @6Slyboy6 a chance to reply with Grian before I post with Chieko again.

@ADamnFiddle I think that, without a doubt, Ryan will ask Maria if he can join the Iron Bell Knights. It'd probably secure him a place to stay, as well as a way to make good on the promise he made to help others.

@Rune_Alchemist Even if she knew Maria couldn't die either? I mean, Ryan isn't gonna be like Subaru (in terms of fearing death after like the third time he died), but he probably won't be too excited for it to happen.

Yep, whether Maria can actually die or not would be irrelevant. She can still kill her and remove her from play in order to complete her job. In fact, Tsuiho would greatly enjoy someone that couldn't die to 'play' with.

but I'm not gonna say any more until something happens ICly and I can reveal something about Tsuiho's personality that isn't completely obvious at the moment. Although, if she figures Maria can't die and she hasn't had her first death yet, its actually going to cause her to become more cautious in her work. She'd probably actually take less work in that case for some time.

@Rune_Alchemist From what the post earlier said, that seems to about sum it up. I'm probably missing something too though, maybe they'd forget the whole fight? I mean otherwise it'd lead to an interesting partnership if they both knew the other couldn't die. They probably wouldn't just keep on fighting.

Actually, it'd cause Tsuiho to fight a lot harder and not actually run the moment things go bad. Probably would increase her boldness and recklessness during missions...for some reasons you'll find out later ICly probably~

@Rune_Alchemist Heheh, but it'll be really awkward once a few of our characters have done it. From what I remember we also can't remember who else dies if they have that power. If that's the case I bet each of our characters will probably all think they're the only ones it applies to.

Yeeeah, that's some...pretty major mind fuckery right there.

Like, do the memories of them dying just get completely erased/replaced with someone else? That...actually could cause a lot of stuff to get messed up.

For example:
Tsuiho or Maria kills each other in a showdown. This has been sort of something that has been building up for the past...week or so ICly. Maria just killed a major assassin that does dirty work for the nobility. She knows that...yet, here she is popping up later like nothing happened? What about that other one from her 'memories' then? Did she spend this entire week chasing the wrong assassin or what?

For Tsuiho if she kills Maria, she knows she just killed the leader of the Iron Bell knights...but Maria is still alive later? Do her memories get replaced by Maria being some random Knight or something?

....am I explaining that right? I hope so xD
Maybe I misread something somewhere though, but eh xD
