I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio
Hello! Welcome to my little bio.
Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).
"Whaahah!" The dullahan gave a jovial laugh, flourishing her sword as the second bandit fell to her blade. "Boy, bandits these days are a buncha halfwit wankers." Her body then pivoted, obviously eager for more and to help Valarie out. She would have jumped right into the fray too, had Valarie not saw to plop her head back onto her shoulders. Her head's eyes widened significantly. "Agh! No no don't you put me back-on just-gah!" As soon as her head met her body, there was only the briefest of pauses as she readjusted - and noticeably, her cheeks turned a bright red color in obvious embarrassment from her actions, but her composure was quickly regained.
"Valarie!" She shouted upon seeing her become wounded. Ugh, that was partly her fault, wasn't it? Valarie seemed to handle herself well enough, however - and Arletta couldn't help but to widen her eyes again at the powerful display the Valkyrie displayed towards the brigands. She supposed she couldn't judge considering her actions just now either, but...She was concerned.
"I'm fine." She replied as she sheathed her sword. She'd ask the Valkyrie not to mention what just happened when she quite literally lost her head later. For now though, she was more concerned with her. "Mhm...yes, I think we have judged the nature of these people well enough. More importantly though." She gave Valarie a concerned frown. "Are you alright?" She asked, obviously indicating she was asking about more than just her physical wounds.
"G-grah?" Sorcha could only manage another quite growl as Sol tugged on her hand, leading her into the castle. The dragon was wholly unprepared for that, being far too focused on trying not to appear completely undignified and little more than a common house pet. By the time she was pulled inside, she hadn't been able to direct Sol to where Maoin had actually gone. Instead, it seemed, they ended up with Katherine and Meowka.
"Oof." Sorcha pulled her hand away from Sol. "Apologies. This little one got carried away, just a bit." The dragon replied. She really should be resting a bit, but she was already here now...no sense in heading back. Sorcha flapped her wings in mild annoyance. Oh well. She could handle a little trek through an old castle. "It seems though, yes we have lost Maoin. I am unsure why she headed in by herself but I am unsure If I ever know entirely what is going through that kitten's head." She replied with a sigh.
The small group of people eventually passed what appeared to be a large collapsed doorway that seemed to lead to a courtyard on the other side of it, judging from the light coming in through the cracks in the rubble. The hallway continued on the way it had previously, before turning to the left at a staircase that seemed to lead downwards.
Head downstairs Basement of a spooky castle? What could possibly go wrong Keep heading down the hallway Might be something interesting in that courtyard, if you could find a way into it Something else?
Luna, Marie, Eith, and Miren
"It'll be fine, Eith!" Miren replied, taking the lead as they walked down the west wing before replying to Luna. "A-and, yes...according to Katherine's research there were...quite a number of experiments done at this place over the years." The human chimera frowned, as if recalling something unpleasant before shaking her head. "W-we'll be fine though, there shouldn't be anything left of those experiments still around."
The group continued walking, though nothing in the hallway seemed to be anything of note. The rooms seemed to be of little importance, nothing more than what looked to be the remains of some storage areas of some sort. The broken remains of large wooden crates and other similar items were stacked against the wall in one room. In another, is what looked to be the remains of a lab of some sort. Various old beakers were laying useless on the ground, some broken but otherwise nothing of note.
Soon enough, the hallway turned at a sharp ninety degree angle to the right before leading into a relatively large room that had a number of bookshelves, tables, and a number of overturned cabinets. In the air hung the musty smell of old paper.
"...A library?" Miren's ears perked up. That was her first impression at least, but upon further consideration it wasn't large enough to be used for one. "Hm, a study of some sort?" She hopped into the room, swiveling her head around and taking a good look at the area before hopping over to one of the shelves. "Maybe a storage place for records or something...looks like most of the stuff here is no good, though..." Miren frowned. Many of the presumed records had been damaged by the weather, left to rot in the elements. "Hrm, there might be something if we look."
Miren continued to carefully go through the shelves a few moments, but a small distance away on the opposite end of the room there was a door that lead outside to what looked to be an overgrown garden.
Marie for the most part remained silent, not contributing anything. She was content not to help these lesser creatures.
Head out to the garden. Nothing here, maybe something in the garden area? Head back? Doesn't seem to be anything here, and there's obviously not going to be much outside. Look around the room. Doesn't look like there's much left here, but if you're lucky you might find something Something else entirely?
Maoin
As the lone kitten ascended the stairs to the upper floors of the castle, the echoes of chatter from the other parties faded quickly she was met with an almost eerie silence. Similar to how it had been outside, no birds or other wildlife seemed to be making much of a noise. Only the echoes of her own soft footfalls could be heard echoing off the ancient stone walls around her. A few bugs could be seen skittering about, but paid the cat no mind, instead fleeing from the light that streamed in from various old windows and cracks in the stone ceiling.
As she moved through the first archway into the hallways beyond, the entire place seemed like it was at first glance - abandoned. The interior, at least, seemed like it had been devoid of anyone's presence decade. Centuries, maybe. The hallway was lined with a number of side rooms, the doors to of which were ajar or broken completely. Any of the rooms she poked her her poked her head into were similarly empty, though one or two others seemed to be hallways that led to other parts of the castle. Nothing but the remains of what were perhaps once chairs, beds, or other amenities. Perhaps this used to be the living quarters? Would make some sense, at least.
Eventually, as she reached the end of the hallway she would notice a spiral stairwell that led up again, perhaps to the exterior ramparts of the castle. To her right though, was a door - and one in relatively good condition, though it still appeared not to have been disturbed in ages. If she had a thought to open it, she'd be disappointed. Something heavy on the other side of the door prevented it from swinging open.
If she happened to look upwards, she'd see a crack in the ceiling of the roof that lead towards a window on the opposite wall. Outside the window, there looked to be old scaffolding of some sort overlooking a now overgrown garden, indicating that someone might have had tried repairs or were planning an addition to the place at one point. Might be a way into the room from there.
Find a way to open the door? Who knows, something might be inside. You're not getting in through conventional means, though... Head up the narrow spiral staircase. Might lead the to roof of the old castle. Try your luck with the scaffolding. Looks unstable, but you're a cat. Head down another hallway. Nothing to see here...maybe treasure or something is somewhere else? Head back downstairs. This place is a bit creepy, right? Maybe not the best idea to be alone here. Something else entirely?
Considering as much time as Cecil spends out in the zone, you think her and Freya would have run into each other before? Just a thought I had if you'd wanna explore that or something.
"A-ah?~" Viola grinned, giggling impishly as she was 'patted' by Abigail. It was close enough for Viola, at least. "I didn't actually think you'd do it..." Her attention turned back to the ensuing fight with Morholt soon though. She had been interested in watching a few students beat the giant to a pulp, or watch the so called Death Knight do what he did best. Either outcome would have been enjoyable...if only the Enforcers hadn't gotten involved. Ruin everything, why don't they.
"Speaking of my dress..." Viola's mouth turned down into a somewhat bored frown. "Now that the enforcers are here, things are going to get a bit boorish." She sighed, getting up from her seat. "I think I shall retire to my dorm for now. I need to make sure my...friends are behaving anyways. Both of you are free to join me, should you wish."
The small girl didn't wait for a response to see if they would join her, and simply started heading out of the room to her dorm.
"A-ah?" Cecil couldn't help but to giggle lightly as Bolt observed her. Boy, he moved faster than some of the creatures in the Zone! Too bad this kid was entirely human. Otherwise, she might have found him actually adorable. "Hehe." She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, white hair still blackened with some soot from the earlier mishap.
Of course, it wasn't too far-fetched of a conclusion for him to come too. Normally walking around with such a wide array of mods and seamless Catalyst integration was likely going to raise a few flags. Wasn't the first time someone had called her out on them, or at least questioned her possession of them. Thankfully, such people were usually fellow divers since they were the only ones who typically saw them. Most of the time, she only kept the one in her Jack on her. Her stun baton and pistol were typically kept hidden under her coat or bag. When moving through back alleys like this though, one had to be prepared to run into the unsavory sort.
"O-oh?" She offered him an impish grin at the mention of a 'secret organization' and a job. It sounded very much like the same reason she was here. "Secret organization? Mission? If you plan on turning them down, that's too bad. I was looking forward to working with you and your adorable robot." She paused for a few seconds before laughing and continuing. "Sorry, sorry, no, I'm no Alchemist and I've never set foot in the foundry. Well, I might be a bit of a self-taught one, buuttt...I'm most just a not-so-humble technician." She didn't elaborate more than that. While the kid obviously had some skill, he probably wouldn't entirely understand the specifics of making one. "Juuuust so happened to have the thought to take apart an existing class-A catalysts and go from there. After you understand how the parts on one machine works, it's not hard to understand how it'd work with something else if you're clever enough." She gave Bolt a proud little grin before moving the conversation elsewhere.
"You can call me Traveler. That's sort of a name I picked up in the Zone. Hehe, I've probably seen more of that place than some people older than me." She gave him her usual grin. "Thoooough...you and your adorable robot can call me Cecil, if you want." She started fiddling with the settings on her Arm Jack, glancing over her shoulder towards the dark recesses of the alley.
Once you spent enough time in the Zone scurrying about, hiding from the various creatures and machines that exist there you started to develop a certain...awareness. A bit of a sixth sense, at times. Not really anything concrete, just a feeling of either being watched or a bad feeling in general. Sometimes it was nothing. Other times, it was a very good idea to listen to that gut instinct. If you thought you were being watched, it was always a good idea to double check your surroundings. If you thought you were in danger, it was probably a good idea to find cover and leave the area. Perhaps it was just a bit of paranoia?
Unless you were like her and had a nigh insatiable curiosity, especially towards the ancient metal that carved its way into the earth.
"Buuut...enough about me. You ever been in the Zone before, kiddo?" She asked with her usual demeanor. "I started when I was ten. Lost my arm and leg there, heh. Probably a bit of my sanity too, buuuuut that's irrelevant. Spend long as I have out there...you start to get a bit paranoid about who's watchin' ya." Suddenly, her hand drew the gun from her belt, face still plastered with a smile as she turned towards the area she thought they were being watched from.
"Hey hey, it's rude to eavesdrop on people, ya know." Her left arm was still on her pistol, and it was quite clear that despite her friendly demeanor if whoever this was so much as showed at least a bit of hostile intent, he might find himself a few brain cells short.
"Special present?" Isil questioned. Well, it wasn't likely to be something special as far as she cared...but she couldn't exactly say something that rude out loud. That would be a rather embarrassing mistake to make in that regard. She'd get to that later though, for now she might as well start with the lesson. She wasn't looking forward too it too much, though. It wasn't likely to be something she didn't already have knowledge of. With a friendly smile, Isil moved towards one of the empty work tables.
"Very well then Mistress Liyva." She replied. "I am looking forward to getting started."
"Torture and death?" Miren cocked her head to the side, rubbing one of her ears. "Ah...yes. W-well...any place with any history is likely to have something like that." She replied. She had been in a number of places over the years, and that was just a simple fact of life for some people, especially in the more remote parts of the world. What they considered to be cruel and torture, may simply be culture in other parts of the world.
"Ahem...right, anyways." Miren turned back to the group. "It's a good idea, Katherine...but It looks like there's an east and west wing. Until we look around we don't know how much of this place is still intact. If you want to head to the right wing with Meowka...I'll head to the left wing with Marie and Eith." At this, the demon raised her eyebrows a tiny bit in slight surprise, but quickly turned back to the glare that had become usual for her in this little endeavor. "U-uhm, if you're alright with it, of course Marie."
"Hmph." Marie huffed, turning her head towards the far wall. "It's not like I have much of a choice. Do whatever you want, creature."
"R-right! W-well, the passages will probably meet up again elsewhere, and at least have other ways to the other parts of the ruin."
~Ancient Castle: Exterior ~
Sorcha
"Have fun, Luna!" Sorcha grinned, waving off the knight, not paying attention to what Sol was about to do. "Try to have fun, hm? Don't let the spooky ghosts get-grrreaaaah?" The end of the dragons sentence trailed off into definitely not regal or commanding growl. Immediately, Sorcha slapped a hand against her mouth. Nervously, she removed it. "Grraaah?" Only to quickly replace it for a few seconds before turning her head down towards Sol. Sorcha looked somewhat conflicted, as if she wanted to ask Sol to quit - but on the other hand it looked like she liked it for whatever reason.
Despite her words, it was clear from the dragons body language she wasn't entirely opposed to it.
