Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Rachel frowned slightly, unblinkingly staring at the digimon who were talking as they spoke. So...basically the other digimon were being silly. The Gobumon here built a hot-springs, and the Gomamon didn't like the competition. If they were to be believed, at least. She could believe it, though. Someone comes up with something new that people liked more than the old, then the old fell out of favor. Shiny and new things, just like phones. The Gomamon probably just weren't creative enough to handle the new things, so they were sore about it.

"Well thanks, partner." Impmon replied. "If the Gomamon really are just sore about losing business then their just gonna need a wake-up slap or something." Rachel silently agreed. "Oi, Rachel. Maybe we should stop tell 'em to stop being little babies about this." Rachel stretched, humming softly to herself before heading back over to where the others were. Impmon frowned, sighing grumpily before following after her.

"..." A slug, was she? Rachel walked over to Tinkermon, having overheard the last bit of the conversation. She had been thinking of some way to mess with the bug. A suitable, hilarious though not cruel way to mess with the bug. In fact, that was one of the things she had been deciding on since the entire meeting with the annoying pest. She walked past the pest, before giving her a light shove, enough so that she'd fall off of Yumeko's shoulder.

"Hehe, hey, I can always carry her lazy butt." To which Rachel held her arms up in an X-shaped fashion. "Aww come on, it'll be great! I'll be gentle, promise!" Rachel gave Kameo an unamused look before shaking her head.

"Aha...w-well, what were you doing, Rachel?" Swimmon interrupted.

"Talking with some Gabumon outside. Said there's nothing wrong as far as they know, jus' the Gomamon 'cross the lake complaining about lack of business because these fella's opened a hot spring. Buncha' babies can't handle a little competition they deserve to be run outta business." Impmon harrumphed.

"I-I see..."

"Ouch, brutal Impy, brutal...buuuut we still don't know if there's anything wrong or not. They said the resort further up the mountain might be able to tell us more." Kameo replied. "So do I get to carry the slug or not?"

Rachel took a few steps back from Kameo, earning a chuckle from Impmon.

"Aw come oooon, it'll be fun!"

"No."

"Plllllease."

"Come near me and I will fill your inbox with spam."

"Tsk, so meeeean." Kameo pouted childishly.

Whew, and a post.

And here we see Lure and Claire finally agreeing on something.

~Claire Blackwood~

@PlatinumSkink

"Awww, someone can be both cute and tough." Claire replied with a light giggle. "I like to think of myself as both, heh." Ralia giggled where she was sitting on Claire's head, patting her in a playful, almost cheeky seeming manner. Claire didn't seem to notice, and instead followed swiftly after Yvonne. "Buuut a clever contest? Yvonne, you're going to get rekt harder than a level 1 magikarp fighting a level 100 Raichu." She smirked confidently, Ralia giving the other girl a bright grin as she laid on top of Claire, propping her head up with her arms. "But hey, if you wanna see me at my best...then lets do it, yeah?"

This...actually posed a problem though. She had been considering which pokemon to use for what contest for awhile now. She had already decided Ralia was going to be Beauty. Ritz was likely going to be Cute, after all that little bug was absolutely adorable! No one could say no to his little face. That left Del and Lure. She wasn't likely to use Del in a contest because she already had the rest of her bases covered. And who was supposed to be covering the Clever contest?

....well.

She thumbed over the pokeball containing Lure in her pocket. She supposed she could switch Ralia with Clever and have her both own the Clever and Beauty titles, but that just didn't feel right. If anything, Ralia would be a good candidate for getting being the superstar contest in all of the categories...but one step at a time, Claire. Lets see if she could convince the little annoying bug.

"Hey, give me a second alright? Gotta appeal to a bugs ego and manipulate them into doing what I want. Wow that sounded bad." She said, pulling Ralia off of her head. The small pokemon protested only a little as its little red throne was taken from her, quickly finding someone else to play with. Ralia ran over to Yvonne, staring up at her with a grin and pulling on her pants leg, starting to follow the other girl around. "I'll be juuuust a second! Go find us a place to have a practice match." Claire ran a few steps away from the other girl, pulling Lure's pokeball from her pocket and releasing the little bug.

"Bee-!" Who immediately complained, as if someone had interrupted her beauty sleep.

"Hey there, Lure." Lure turned its six little eyes towards Claire, immediately narrowing them at the human.

"Bee." "Human."

"Sooo....you're a beautiful, clever little bug, aint'cha?" Lure's eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"Combee. Combee! Bee-!?" "I shall be the most beautiful and cleverest bug in the forest-"

"Right, so..." Claire threw an arm over the bugs head, holding her under her arm as she spoke and interrupted the bug. "You know what a contest is? Basically a thing that determines how officially cute, clever, tough, cool, or beautiful a pokemon is." Claire stated in a fairly nonchalant manner.

"....bee." It gave the redhead a long look, questioning where this was going.

"So, problem is, you gotta have a pokemon and a human team."

"..."

"Aaaannnnd you're in no shape to try and actually do those things."

"Combee."

"Yep, that's exactly what I'm suggesting. You want to be the queen bee, and I want to be the queen bee. Soooo...how's about for a bit you behave your little bug butt and we work towards this common goal of ours, hmm?~"

"...combee." "I hate you but your logic is impeccable."

"Great, glad you agree! So, for starters...lets have you watch a practice contest."

"Bee..."

"Greeeat, see! We'll be besties in no time." Claire said, patting Combee on the head, who immediately blasted a gust of air in her face. "You keep blasting me with air, but I can tell you like me you grumpy little bug."

"Combee."

"Fine, fine!" Claire chuckled, walking back over to Yvonne.

"Hey, ready when you are. Found us a place to practice yet? I'll let Ralia play with you and whoever your pokemon is. And don't mind the bug. She'll be observing the practice match. You can ignore any snarky remarks she makes."

Katherine - Meowka - Sorcha - Sol

"You want me to...light a torch." Sorcha frowned for a moment before sighing. "Well, I suppose, though the dark is not difficult for a dragon to traverse. Caves tend to be devoid of most light anyways, you know." She grabbed the torch from Katherine running her hands along the aged object for a few seconds before frowning again. A crackle of energy ran across her hands, lightning up the area round the dragon's hand for a moment with pale, white light before the cloth on the torch began to burn lightly from the electricity.

"Hmm...hold on. It's been awhile." Electricity wasn't exactly a delicate element. She couldn't use her divinely generated lightning due to circumstance, but electricity was always fickle when you used it. After a few seconds though the dragon snapped her fingers, small surge of lightning bolting from the ends of her fingers to the torch in her other hand, hitting it with sudden force...enough for it to flip out of her hands and bonk Katherine right on the noggin and then to the floor.

"...whoops~" The dragon had to hold back a chuckle. "One lit torch delivery. I'll use less, erm, voltage next time." She grinned before walking into the musty depths of the basement floor of the castle.

Now that the torch had been lit, it was easy enough to move forward into the dungeons. Once the group gathered themselves and moved forward, they would find the place empty as expected, only the sounds of their own footsteps accompanying them. Most of the rooms, if checked, would prove empty, save for the remains of what seemed to be research. Eventually, they would come across a room separate from the rest.

...a Kennel of some sort? Various cages lined the walls, all worn and aged. Some had chains laying in the bottom of them. A few old, worn tables had aged paper scattered across them.

Eith, and Miren

"A-ah?" Miren's face reddened lightly. "W-what is that book doing here..." H-how incredibly lewd. "U-hm uhm, h-here." Miren grabbed the book with a devious title from Eith, flipping through a few pages of it before shaking her head, stuffing it in her bag. "R-right. Ahem, nothing to be read in that one." Miren replied, clearing her throat lightly before taking a look through the other books. "Hm...most of these don't seem too important." The scholar sighed, shaking her head. "There are a few reports detailing the weather, a few patrols...a few not exactly rare research books, though there are a number of ones in old demon script. I can only assume that demons were here at some point." She gave Eith a smile.

"Which is good! That means we're on the right track, at least! Maybe you were here at some point?" She suggested,

Maoin

The barricade seemed to simply be a collection of old wooden bookshelves. Despite their age, they were practically wedged into the space between the door and the far left wall. Clearing it would likely take awhile, but Maoin made sure to listen and wait. The smell of something was strong here, but there was still nothing but silence and the musty smell of dust, so she set to work removing the barricade from the door - turning her back to the courtyard.

She would almost immediately regret the decision. Something either leaped from the ground below or above into the room with only a slight sound that only the kitten's ears would be able to pick up. Whatever the case was, the kitten simply wouldn't be fast enough to react. Before she could even let out a surprised mew, something grabbed her by the nape of her neck, sharp claws digging into the skin. It slammed her against the old bookcases, pressing her face roughly into the pile.

There was a hiss, before something sharp bit her in her heels. In the next instant she'd be yanked back, tossed onto the dusty old floor as she slid a few inches across the stone ground, inches from falling three stories into the courtyard below. She'd only have a moment to catch her breath before something slithered into her vision.

A serpent, about as big as a human's arm. It was an emerald green color, its forked tongue flicked in and out, tasting the air. It had red, slitted pupils and studied her with either curiosity or amusement. It was very likely what bit you on the ankles. Hopefully it wasn't venomous or you might be in trouble.

"...trespasser."

Something heavy slammed into her back, another set of sharp claws digging into her skin.

Now...what would Maoin do? Fight back? It seemed whoever this was, seemed to think you were trespassing. She wouldn't be able to see much, but if she craned her neck to look she'd make out claws, and the fact that the snake next to her seemed to be attached to this woman. She was kneeling down, forcing her entire weight onto you to keep you from moving.

"...hmm...This one wonders, what you are doing here. Picking over the old bones of this place.

Luna, Marie

"Heh, I don't need you to babysit me human." Marie scoffed, waving a hand dismissively. "If you have any idea who I am, you'd be on your feet kneeling." She giggled as she continued to walk, the overgrown shrubbery becoming more dense as she moved deeper into the old garden. "That said, I'm curious. Following little ol' me? Enthralled by my beauty? I can't blame you...for being attracted to my perfection." Marie climbed onto an old, eroded stone pillar that once seemed to be used for some sort of decoration. She turned and gave Luna a smug smirk, acting as though the old stone pillar was a pedestal of some sort purely to show herself off.

"So, Luna was it? Do something for me." She pointed authoritatively at the other girl. "Entertain me with something."
Huhm, its been awhile since I've done anything with yous guys.

This looks cool though, and I have a character I'd like to use. I'll get her a CS up soon probably.
Alright, I'll probably get a post up tomorrow. Been feeling a bit unmotivated these past few days.
both of the guild masters have made a statement recently to the effect that with the S-class exams coming up, anyone who would be seen as a candidate will have to have completed, or been part of the completion of a 'great feat'. No further information is forthcoming from either guild master on what this/these great feats might be, but you're aware it's outside the scope of regular jobs.

This in mind, I'd like everyone to post up with why they've 'decided' to join together in these teams. You'll also have to collectively decide on how leadership works in your team (is there a designated 'leader' who makes functional decisions? some other system or process?). Finally you'll have to decide on the nature of your team, have you been a team for ages? Two teams joining because of the announcement? One team with a bunch of new people joining up?

Welp, got some of Ceri's opinions written up.

Ceri'll be easy to decide for really. Illedrith and her have been on a team for a while already, I imagine. It'll be more difficult getting whoever is doing the ordering to order her to vape things to death with her magic though.

Unless of course it is Illedrith. Ceri'll listen to her more or less.
~Arletta Dupain~

@PaulHaynek

Arletta simply frowned, considering the Gandharva's words words if she spoke. Her words had merit, she supposed...but, personally? She couldn't agree with them. They gave her the impression less of refugees, and more of bandits. Certainly, their culture may have something to do with it and she would never bash some other place for their beliefs or customs...but she couldn't agree. She just couldn't. Under no circumstance, should someone ever attack someone unprovoked.

Hah, she wished she had the audacity to tell Gina that. If she was still human she'd have told her that in not a quite so friendly manner. Probably insult her intelligence and common sense, too. Also hit on her repeatedly but that was neither here nor there. She was glad that Valarie put her head back on before arriving or things might have gotten a little...difficult.

"Not everyone can be swayed with kind words and open arms..." She shook her head as Gina left. It was simply the sad reality of people in general. It was a nice sentiment, and one she'd have loved nothing more than to agree with, but personal experience simply told her otherwise. Sometimes people could only be convinced to change their ways with force or tragedy.

Still, she couldn't deny Gina's words. If she could have subdued them without killing, that would have been a much better outcome...but there was very little to be done about that. What was done was done - you could only strive to do better.

"Oh," Arletta caught the pouch easily. "Mhm, I am glad I was able to help." For now though, she was tired. She had been traveling much of the day, and with the slight...loss of her head she was rather tired. With the sun going down, traveling at night would be a bit unwelcome. Besides...she'd be lying if she said she wasn't a bit concerned about both those...refugees and Valarie. She glanced down to her blade before shaking her head and pocketing the pouch.

She'd find some place to stay for the night and leave tomorrow. Maybe check up on Valarie before leaving.
