Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Ah, oh terrible day! Frightening Memories! How dramatically terrifying!

At first she thought it might not be hostile, considering it had not attacked to start with. It seemed like it was judging her - she felt those stares aplenty back on Sal'Xantis. Ah, how the magisters and nobles oh so loved to look down on the younger Ebons such as herself! Tee-hee! Just showed their own insecurities.

Right, a tangent.

The thought of non-hostilities vanished instantly as a sharp frown formed on the creatures muzzle. The blackest night she had ever seen erupted from the castle, surrounding the area in a dome of darkness as the sun began to rise. A mild thought of the unnatural swiftness with which it rose registered in the back of her head, but she couldn't linger on that. No. She was far too focused on what was taking shape within the darkness.

The shadows swirled, starlight coalescing in place of the shadow being that had originally been there, surrounding it and wrapping it in an even darker night. What once she had thought was simply an implausibility, was quickly seeming to become much, much more real. The shadows swirled, and for a moment starlight twinkled from within, lighting up the darkness with seemingly innumerable amount of nebulae and stars, as if one was staring at the universe as a whole.

But it quickly passed, shifting again in the shadows, quickly boiling into the visage of a monstrosity.

"Ah-" How adorable! The little robot was actually trying to help! "Tee-hee! If only this little Ebon could be as confident as you, little Sparkles!" Shael's voice was still filled with mirth as she spoke, but it was obvious there was a forcefulness to it. The ground shook as to her, an impossibly gigantic creature slammed its ethereal appendage onto the ground, causing her to loose her footing slightly, a mild tinge of pain shooting up from her leg into her chest.

"Hehe! Ah, Beryllius! If you think your illusions will scare this jester," She took a few long, graceful steps back as she craned her head upwards. "Well you are quite right. I'm utterly terrified, Tee-hee!" She jovially laughed again, the gigantic creature lowering its featureless face towards her. Whether this beast had somehow followed her hear or not was irrelevant. She grabbed sparky's hand with a light grip, hopefully spinning him around. "Time to go!~" She made a beeline for the Eventide, deciding not to overstay her welcome.

Well, he supposed their ruler would decide that. A minor complication that could easily be resolved with the exchange of knowledge and culture. Friendship though? How...egalitarian? Perhaps a better word would be better used there, but that was not something the Ebon were known for. Research and knowledge above all else. To be sure, there was something to be said for keeping ones contract and deals, but friendship?...hmm...

"Jessiel'Ralleth." Jessiel replied, his long flexible arm performing a seemingly exaggerated bow. This...quadruped, Astral was an Astronomer? Curious, he would have liked to inquire more, but a violent heave of the ground gave him pause, eyes following Astral's own towards the castle. Odd. The place seemed seismically stable - but that wasn't the only odd occurrence. The sun began rising rapidly, as if the Sel'Chroma and the Sun Emperor were once again causing trouble, overtaking the moon. Secondly - a shadowy dome erupted from the castle.

...

Ignoring Astral, Jessiel turned and in fashion that made it seem as though he was floating, long robes trailing the ground lightly as he moved towards the edge of the crash magical circle and crash site.

"Mass of magical energy." Jessiel observed. As both a scientist, researcher, and scholar, it was easy enough to know how magic worked. It was a little foreign and it did not all make sense, but he did know the threat level was high. "Not unsimilar to Sel'Beryl Lunar magic. Shiestal..." He sighed, a low displeased, drawn out tired seeming chime coming from him. "Jester bringing trouble. Otherworlder," He turned to Astral.

"Dangerous. Should leave." With that, Jessiel seemingly finished whatever words he had for the pony, shouting loudly to the Ebon that had been ready for danger. They moved from the forest, back towards the ship and made a defensive perimeter, using the wreckage of the ship for cover.
"I'll try and keep the wildlife in mind, ma'am." Erka mused, beginning the Stellaria's descent. As the ship began its descent, Kiri made her way back up to her quarters to prepare. No telling what they could find here, so they should go fully prepared. She wouldn't take her Scarath body armor - that'd be a little overkill and not exactly good for first impression should they run into some sentient beings. Checking her appearance one last time in the mirror as she still wasn't quite comfortable in the uniform, she grabbed the only thing she'd need - her blade and a small Hand Cannon as the humans would call it. Most humans would struggle to hold the thing with two hands, but its stopping power was almost completely assured if you hit your target. Could only fire two shots before needing reloading, but she was confident in her aim.

Everything else wasn't needed for the most part. With their comms linked up and Erka monitoring their progress on the planet, he should be able to provide support and warn them relatively soon of any environmental hazards they should happen upon.

Malia for the most part kept to himself, going over some of the schematics and blueprints Harisa and Jessica had given him, trying to make sense of the complicated energy related engineering equations. To say his moth brain was overwhelmed, was an understatement.

"How far is close by?" Kiri asked as she stepped off the elevator, catching the end of Cherche's assumption before turning swiftly to Erka after Cherche answered. "Stealth systems engaged?"

"Affirmative." The Ant replied. "If human tech does what it says, the ship should have a chameleon effect going so anything visual won't pick us up easily."

"Good." Kiri looked out of the cockpit at the landscape, leaning over Erkas chair, studying the forest's edge quietly. "Keep me update on that signal, Kendrick. We'll conduct a preliminary investigation of this planet. I estimate our away time to be anywhere between three hours to six - so if we haven't radioed in sometime after that, assume something has happened." She walked away, turning from the cockpit and heading towards the cargo bay. "Tearch, you have the Bridge. Stay Alert and don't let anything on the ship without my approval. Stay alert." Pressing the button on her comm unit, Kiri spoke.

"Helmheim, Sprinklestar, Cargo bay in five minutes!"

Huge slime?! Oh wonderful, today just kept getting better and better.

A combination of attacks from all of them made the first Dire Rat fall quickly. Ardur slammed his fist into it the weakened beast, finishing it off splendidly. The rats would be easy, but they couldn't fight on two fronts. That was just ridiculous in their current position. The optimal choice here? Fleeing and then letting the slime and dire rats fight, and then finish off whoever was left. She was confident in their abilities to handle them in their weakened state, but judging from the small tremors in the ground, they didn't have the luxury of time. She wasn't sure if Colchain would even understand complex directives. Likely not.

"I need a mana crystal, I don't have enough MP left to move, let alone fight off these rats and that slime!"

Danny's voice bought her out of her observations and thoughts.

"I heard you the first time!" Right, she needed to act. Not think. Action was needed here. She had a Mana Crystal on her, and she couldn't use it, so it was only natural to let the one who could have it even if she wasn't too keen on giving the thing she came out here to get in the first place up.

"There!" Vomiting up the Mana crystal, she spat it in Danny's direction. Hopefully it'd reach him and not be too damage by the venom. She couldn't reach him and protect Colchain and the others at the same time. "Try focusing on actively regenerating your Mana or something too! Everyone else, focus on keeping that slime busy! I can handle the rats!" She shouted to Danny, activating her 'Overwork' skill once more. Assuming fleeing wouldn't be a viable option, they'd have to quickly finish the rats and focus their efforts on just one large slime.

She wanted to ensure this rat was poisoned, however - so instead of simply going right for its throat with her fangs, Ash quickly stuck one of her claws in her mouth, soaking it in her venom. It'd likely burn, but that wouldn't matter so much to her. She might not make it in time to ensure that Colchain was completely unharmed, but she could at least pull the rat off of him again.

Ash Lunged at the Lizard Lunging for Colchain, baring her fangs and grabbing it with her hopefully venom soaked claws and filling her mouth with venom once more. As soon as she sank both her claws and fangs into the rat, she'd use Venom Shot at close range on the beast.

Who indeed.

Kiri had half a mind to tell Jess to stay here just for giggles, but she wouldn't subject Malia to that. The planet had a breathable atmosphere, comparable to Kythphus. A good baseline for all of them, then, without suffering many ill effects on anyones side. High humidity and heat made it almost seem like home. Well then.

"Helmheim, Sprinklestar, prepare for extraterrestrial exploration." Kiri ordered, walking away from the holographic display of the planet. "Find us a suitable place to land and engage the stealth systems, Tearch. Kendrick I want you to focus on that signal - even if its nothing we should play it safe." She walked back to the platform, leaning over the edge of it as the ship began its slow descent. She'd give more instructions once they had safely landed.

It seemed her joke fell flat once again. The quadruped was backing up rather quickly. Ah, pity! She'd need to find a way to break this language barrier before she continued on, wouldn't she? How else could she entertain? One had to understand something to begin with to laugh at something, after all! Like explaining a joke! Explaining a joke was bad form, yes yes!

That aside -

Something was here. Something unpleasant. Something that made her physically frail body tremble lightly. Something was quite displeased, like the President was when she heard news that the Sel'Chroma had attacked one of their border cities. Ah, not fun, not fun. The president was scary when she was angry. Not as frightening as whatever this was - but it certainly was displeased with something.

The castle door slamming open brought her out of her musings, a swift, raging wind greeting them. Cold, merciless, like the ice-blasted plains on the dark side of Sal'Xantis. The silky white strands of Shael's hair blew backwards, the chimes in her hair jingling unpleasantly as they were assaulted as she shielded her eyes with her hand.

And then out stepped something she didn't think she'd see on such a far off planet. The light inside the door had been rendered pitch black, a dark, inky void that not even her enhanced sight could pierce despite the moonlight still illuminating the surroundings. Oddly, she was not surprised to see the moonlight focusing on the doorway. Lunar Magic was standard fare on Sal'Xantis. It was the forte of the merciless cold spirits that lived on the dark side of the planet.

"Shiestal! Beryllius?" Shael's eyes widened in mild terror for a brief moment as the creature of night sauntered out of the castle. The creature loomed over even her, and was nearly completely featureless aside from a tinted glow around the edges and dark, hollow voids where its eyes should be. Whatever could it be? The initial fear was quickly replaced by curiosity as its high pitched wail assaulted her ears.

"Ah, ah, that is not a pleasant tune!" Shael held the side of her head where her ears presumably were as Zecora fled. "Tsk, you couldn't even entertain the Sel'Chroma with that noise! Hee-hee!" She brightly chuckled, shaking her head. It had looked to be something else - something she was far more familiar with. Something that meeting was almost a death sentence on her home planet. But now she merely wanted to study this phenomena, but before she could, she was once again interrupted by an incredibly unpleasant wail. "Ah, curious! Curious thing what are you? Not physical like striped hungry friend, but ethereal like the Ebon!" Despite her talking, she was quite certain this thing would not respond even if it could.

Oh well.

"I should have you know," Shael continued as the dark creature continued approaching. "I am a master in the art of skedaddling! Attacking me will be a fruitless endeavor." Despite her seeming levity, she was already preparing the 13th art to block any potential ranged attack this thing tried.

Thankfully the quadruped didn't seem hostile. If anything, he seemed more curious. Perhaps kindred spirits? Only time would tell. Silently and curiously Jessiel watched as a book floated out of the small horned creatures backpack. Magic? Here? Curious. Mental note made. The book was interesting and something of note as well. He couldn't read it, but that was too be expected of a foreign language. He continued to watch as the creature went about his work. A bright flash came from his horn - a conduit of some kind? - Lighting up the area with a brief flash of blue as images appeared above his head.

Ah, of course. A simple and obvious solution! Visuals were indeed optimal for situations where language failed between two intelligent species. The pictures lacked a certain scientific phenomena, but they did serve their purpose. The second panel seemed to indicate the creature casting another spell, followed by a third. Ah...a communication spell? That was entirely possible.

"Partly." A series of chimes and hums followed before Jessiel paused. "Temporary solution small one." He took a look around the immediate area. "Welcome here? Ebon have no wish for harm. Merely study."

You can be from an original work if you want, yes, or any other established universe.

"I wouldn't have even been flung if you weren't holding me!" Malia harrumphed, flapping his wing and fluttering in the air. "Ugh, just...stop please!" He whined, landing a few feet away. These humans really weren't making a good impression on him. "N-not that I don't appreciate the sentiment of course," He quickly corrected, brushing his hair again. "But ugh, you humans have such terrible oils on your skin. It's gonna make my fluff all oily." He grumbled. At least, that was going to be his justification for not wanting to moth handled.

"Haha." Erka replied over the comms. "Need to see how well she handles in case of you know, quick escapes and 'tactical retreats' as you humans say."

The Captain spent most of her time during travel making a few final clerical adjustments to some papers and finalizing some details with the Confederacy before they got too far out of range. After that? Sitting in the captain quarters and finishing that Soda. Ah, human stuff was simply the best. Made sure to check in and make a few rounds to make sure the elves weren't touching anything. Erka of course, made sure to keep the ship flying in the right direction, chatting with Cherche along the way. Malia mostly kept to himself, being extra jumpy from all the touching he had gotten from the humans until they finally got to their destination.

Kiri quickly made her way down from her quarters at Cherche's announcement, finding her way back onto the bridge and the elevated platform that was designed to give orders and directions from. As the planet came into view, she crowded around the Stellaria's viewing window. Erka pressed a button, metal guard plates withdrawing from the glass window and giving everyone a better view of the planet.

The world was green, lush and temperate from the looks of it. Looked to be 50% water and 50% forest, much unlike their own home which primarily compromised of a single large, tropical land and Terra. It seemed habitable, and with a larger landmass than earth it was likely to have air enough for the Myrkith to breath easily enough. And the mountains - easily the larges she's ever seen. Myrkith had its own large ones certainly, but they weren't sharp and craggy. All covered in vegetation and sloped gently until they reached their points. Two beautiful moons orbited the planet.

"Kendrik, Tearch," Kiri wasted no time getting to business as she walked back to the holographic observation display of the planet. "What's the planets readings?" She asked, not immediately answering Harisa's question. They'd need a ground team, and she was going herself for their first exploration...but who else?

Malia had elected to stay in engineering.
@Zelosse
