Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Eventually, the other pilots slowly began to make their way to the briefing room. As each one entered, Maye silently observed them with a harsh, wide eyed stare. Copper. Sunni. Meryl. Carvis. Adrian. Thomas. Each and every one of them were going to get a stern talking too about promptness later...but later. Putting her allies in low spirits before an operation was doomed to fail, and she doubted it would be a problem for this mission, whatever it was. Turning the tide? Hah, had they finally pulled something together to beat back the Shard with?

Ha, she felt old.

A standard, rather bland greeting to start things off with. Ah, if it was her she'd have greeted them all by name and made them feel at least, somewhat worthy. A little flair and bombast never hurt anything, as long as it didn't go to their head. Confidence was everything, after all. Maye continued to listen intently to the plans of Operation Checkmate. How poetic.

There was no going back after this, hm? A suicide mission, was it then? Wonderful. The first step was to reach the graveyard. An excellent choice for remaining hidden and out of sight of most of the Shard...of course they'd need to be prepared for everything. Shard were beasts, but they were not mindless. Cruel, clever and vicious...which was why this plan was filling her with a mild sense of concern. Taking down a Shard Hive. No big deal. Easily done with the right tools and equipment. No, it was Phase three giving her pause.

A phase gate? inside of the Red Line to a place behind it? Reckless. Too Reckless. Amusingly and astonishingly reckless. Like a noob attempting to challenge the extra boss in a video game as a level one. It was a good idea, in theory. They would be able to get easy access to Shard Territory, and reclaim some of the lost territory. Simple and easy. Against something like a human foe this surprise attack would have been amusingly obvious.

But she didn't think the Shard were so simple. She had fought them. Likely had been one of the only humans to fight them for as long as she had, and still be mostly unscathed. But these were her orders, and she were not to question them, and she wouldn't let her own nervousness show. Not in front of the others.

"I see, I see." Maye said, unconcerned with Crevix's question at first. "Reckless. Foolish, even. Amusingly so. I approve! The higher ups finally can put my talents to use! Bennu and I are pleased!" She flashed a look towards everyone present, grinning brightly before turning her attention to Crevix. "Crevix! You've never seen a Shard Hive, so I'll tell you one thing - do not concern yourself with numbers, destroy the hive then the rest will follow. Without their queen they are nothing more than insects to be burned and crushed. Serrano!" She turned to face the Admiral. "Is there any notable threats to us between here and the Graveyard? Planets? Spots where the Shard could launch a sneak attack on us? You say the phase gate has most of its structure intact, but are we certain the Manufacturing equipment on Sundown is up to our purposes?"

Viola merely watched as the overly bombastic girl went on some sort of...tirade? Oh wonderful, she was liking this more and more. The small girl sighed, turning her eyes over to Nick as he prepared some tea. She had been intending to speak with Meruin alone, honestly. Less people that got involved, the better. Less chances for something...unexpected to happen. Not that she minded happy little surprises here and there, but what she wanted involved a certain amount of...discretion.

"I think you may have misunderstood, my little Meruin." Viola replied to Meruin, turning to her briefly. "Your reputation is what I am looking for." But before she could say anything else, she had gone to get settled. In return, Viola walked back over to Nick who was busy making tea. Doubtful he'd have similar tastes in it as she. After all, she was used to the expensive and exotic ones...and some with a little magical origins.

Vampire Dust made for some fairly flavorful teas.

"...The only rude one here is the loud one expecting people to read her mind." Viola's mouth turned into a smirk as she replied to the loud girl. "Not that you likely have a mind to read in the first place. I really would advise you against messing with the fey. They'd walk all over you and eat you for breakfast, and no, that's not a metaphor."

Ash watched intently as Oberon cast his magic - finally seeing the fruits of her labor, as one might say. Static? Instead of the vague energy she saw earlier, it was nothing but static, and as Oberon continued it flickered around the shape and the energy surrounding Oberon's magic. It was made up of countless tiny squares - and it became even more obvious when he created the cube for the second time. It was like looking into some sort of complex computer diagram. The shapes were so incredibly small, that even the larger ones took significant effort. However, she did pick up something useful. At the vertex of each cube, it seemed to mimic a graph, oscillating indefinitely. Yes, this was perfect, if she could just find a way to manipulate this -

She had to blink, the image disappearing entirely.

Well that was proof she was doing something correctly. The Pygmy drake closed her eyes, taking a moment to rest them. Eyestrain was annoying, and she'd like to have to not do the whole glasses thing this life.

"Ah...Reoth." Ash greeted the other lizard with a studious expression as he asked his question. "You aren't aware? Fanged Lizards and Pygmy drakes apparently have a throat pouch they can use to store items. I figure storing the Mana Crystal there was safer than in the bag. Less chances of someone stealing it or it getting crushed...plus, if I feel as though if I need a quick boost to MP I can simply use it from there." Casting a glance towards Digbie she frowned lightly. "And I believe he did. I'm honestly not sure I wish to get involved with goblins again, but I am willing to see what becomes of this." Turning and heading back to the cave, Ash continued. "Is there something you need? If not then I am rather busy, but feel free to tag along."

She returned to the shelter, reclaiming the stick she had been using earlier for tail exercises. She'd return to her mana seeing experiments shortly. For now, she wrapped her tail around the stick once more and attempted to train her tail muscles. Maybe she could use it while trying to teach Reoth, if he was interested.

@Parallel Hearts

Welp, suppose I'm done. Only my second time making a servant profile so I hope this is acceptable. Was a bit iffy on stuff like noble Phantasm ranges, but I think I've gotten everything mostly correct. If I need to, I'll change whatever I need.

insert meme about archers not using bows here

Well I'll be making an Archer.
Only thing I can say for now

Is that I'ma be dropping some Original Egypt fabulousness in here.
Hm

I'll throw down some interest.

@PaulHaynek

What...?

Seleth could only watch in mild shock as Nur began ranting. Was that...a normal reaction? Surely it couldn't have been? Whatever it was, Seleth could do nothing. She tried calming down the girl, but nothing she said was sufficient, and soon enough several other priests were on the scene intent on moving the source of the disruption from the shrine itself.

"W-wait-!" She tried to order them to stop, but it was no use. Curses! Was it something she said? Something she did? Seleth's eyes turned to the ground as the incident soon came to an end. The Dark Elf ground her teeth together, turning and heading for her room as the day swiftly came to an end. She needed to clear her head. A bit of meditation always helped.

The next day came, and Seleth was pleasantly surprised.

Her departure was not quiet. Everyone in the Cathedral seemed to see her off. Had they planned this without her knowing about it? Some courtesy would have been nice, but she couldn't say she didn't enjoy the surprise. Prayers of support and well being met her ears, and Seleth could only smile, basking in the praise and certainty from those around her. Surely they were right? Aylama had granted her victory against the princess, even if it had been close, so of course Varjan would be the same. They even prepared a special carriage. Stepping inside, Seleth took a moment to relax and savor the final day of the tournament.

Ah, she could get used to the royal treatment.

It was pleasantly lively outside the wagon, and Seleth should have been relaxing, right? Certainly, but everything that happened so far sat in the back of her mind. Like a spider waiting to snatch a fly from its web. Try as she might, she couldn't shake some uncertainty from her mind. What happened last night with Nur. Alicia's and Mira's connection to Varjan. Varjan himself...and what the Lot Knight had told her on the first day. Not to mention she was slightly concerned for Alicia. She hadn't seen her since then.

Her grip tightened on her spear.

Well, nothing to be done about it right now.

She had reached the arena, and stepped out of the carriage - and pleasantly surprised, a number of the students were there cheering for her, of all people. Her! Hah, well, it was only right she supposed, but still...after being one of the most insufferable people during her time in the academy she couldn't help but feel she didn't quite deserve it. Well, if they were willing to believe in her, then she'd return the feeling.

Heading into the main Arena, Seleth returned the cheers with waves and thanks for the luck, but as soon as she had entered she was greeted with a familiar face. The Lot Knight. He motioned that he wished to speak with her, and Seleth obliged, coming closer. What he said next however, was of no small consequence.

"Varjan? Doping?" Seleth stared at the Lot Knight, eyes intently trying to burrow a hole into his own, it seemed. The idea seemed entirely far-fetched. Why would someone like him need to cheat? She could only think of two things, either his entire prodigy status was because of the drugs, or they weren't drugs, but something else. Either thought seemed utterly ridiculous...but the Knight seemed certain of what he saw, and Seleth had no real reason to outright deny him.

"...that is difficult to believe, Knight." Seleth replied with a cool, even tone. "Why would a prodigy need drugs? And why tell me, not those running the tournament?" Well, she could likely think of a few reasons he didn't herself. No one would believe him, for one. Still, such an accusation would surely have put a stop to the festivities while an investigation was hopefully made. "I have no reason not to believe you, yet no reason to believe you either. Even if he is," Seleth turned her head towards the Arena. "Not much to be done about it now. Thank you for the warning, Knight. I shall attempt to be cautious."

"Hm, nope, didn't find nothing." Vi replied with a nonchalant shrug. "Got attacked by these beaver things, plus the storm started picking up and staying out any longer would've been bad ideas." That said, it seemed like she could somehow use some sorta psychic attack now, judging from how that bidoof reacted. Curious. She would need to explore just how this ability of hers could be used effectively. For now though, she was doing all she could to just not get knocked around by the wind.

"I can apparently use some sort of psychic attack, so if we run into more of those ghost beavers I can probably handle them...somewhat." She turned her eyes towards the cavern entrance. "...that dog is still out there fighting, from the sounds of it." There was an audible question there if they should help. Honestly, Vi would like to return the favor but given her current abilities and situation if she even tried it, she'd probably be swept away by the wind.

For now however, Vi settled herself towards the back of the cave, close to the ground as to lessen the effects of the wind.
