In SoL, the 'goals' become the drama and interpersonal connections/histories players make with each other. Plus setting in in places like a school/college for example give you a timeline to work with.

About
Been at this game for a good while now. Starting RPing at the tender age of 15 back when Bebo was a thing. A year later I found myself forum Roleplaying and haven't really looked back since. Over these past ten years I have done practically every kind of RP you could imagine from Nation RPs and Arena RPs to 1x1s and Large group RPs. My last RP hobby was fighting RPs, which I have now decided to leave behind in order to pursue more SoL style Rps.

Outside of RP I am an aspiring writer, despite being terrible with words, as well as an avid gamer. If I am not on discord with the Guild or RPing in some way, I am probably on either my PlayStation or on Steam. Moved into D&D and ended up starting a podcast that has been an interesting journey.

@HaleyTheRandom I honestly don't know what I would do without Haley. It might sound like a exaggeration, but I probably wouldn't be on this planet if it wasn't for her. She also pushes me that little bit further to be a better GM. And to also teach me that it is okay to say no to someone and that I need to grow a backbone.

RULES

- First and foremost. No godmodding. No controlling other peoples characters. Agreed interaction before hand is fine. But most of the time that takes place in a Collab post.
- Where possible Collab. It just helps reduce the amount of rapid posts we get, and helps keep the RP clean. It also helps us try and keep the RP as chronologically correct as possible.
- There will be battles. There will be violence. People will die. If death comes for your character, take it in your stride. Death scenes can be one of those defining moments in the RP that takes a 'A' RP to a 'AAA' RP. You are more than welcome to make another character and jump right in again.
- Mine and Haley's words are law. Though we shouldn't have to use it if we all talk.

@PureHeroine@Cerces22 While Aloysius would never say no to a new member, Lana is a captain. While Zeke us just a member. Aloysius knows enough about the Guild, so flipping a member wouldn't do much except bolster the numbers.

The Dark Shadow can't fight against the Guild in a one on one situation. It relies on secrecy and deception to evade the Guild. Losing Lana would blow most of those secrets and for a short while, the Dark Shadow would be extremely vulnerable. Lana could spill where the headquarters is. If Salem decided to go in for a frontal attack... Well, there wouldn't be much of a Dark Shadow after that.

@PureHeroine That is why Aloysius views her with distrust. His fear us she will stab him in the back and defect, revealing some of their secrets in the process. If Salem can convince Lana to flip sides... The battle would swing more into The Guilds favour.
