Who came up with the idea to make our statuses quotes from philosophers, anyway?

Michelle Kine

Michelle stepped out of the helicopter once it landed, taking in the new sights. It was here that she would soon be shaping her new future. Michelle took a deep breath, readying herself for whatever challenges would lie ahead. She checked her luggage and pockets, making sure one last time that she had everything accounted for.

"Welcome Students both new and returning, Please make your way to the auditorium where our opening ceremonies will begin!" said the voice of the man who must be the headmaster.

After the announcement, Michelle began to make her way to the auditorium, curious to see what these "opening ceremonies" would entail.
So uh... I know the join status says "Full", but think you can squeeze in one more? Little bit interested.
Rumi Bers Polamor

Rumi typed quickly, yet methodically, as he tried to work his brain around the logic needed to code his program. He shook his head and sighed as he held down the backspace button yet again, deleting another subroutine. Resting his head on his palm, his elbow on the table, he reached out and grabbed a couple chips from a family-sized bag.

A beep sounded off at the door, revealing his secretary as it opened. "Sir, I believe you were supposed to be at the HERO ONE Auditorium... half an hour ago," he said.

"Come on, Chris, you know I don't like going to those. They're so predictable," Rumi moaned. "I imagine it was something involving the destruction the Ambleweeds caused, probably about the property damage costs and hero casualties, and now H.E.R.O is under even more fire than before, so now drastic measures are being taken. Probably ICOSA making a move now that they've got so much leverage on H.E.R.O. So, how much did I get right?"

"7.6 billion in property damage, and 6 heroes poisoned with no one dead, sir." Chris the secretary confirmed. "And ICOSA is performing a 'Restorative Initiative,' deploying their heroes to H.E.R.O as supervisors for ours."

"Called it," Rumi said before popping more chips into his mouth before resuming his coding.

"You did miss Brianna Hart being called in by Hugo Powers, as well as Powers himself announcing a trip he is taking to Paris for an ICOSA council meeting," Chris reported.

Rumi's fingers paused for a second before resuming typing. "Hmm, Powers being called in doesn't surprise me. Being at the top does have its ups and downs. Wonder what little Static girl's in trouble for this time, though. Well, at the very least, she's probably not getting fired."

"...If there is nothing else, then I will take my leave, sir," Chris said, exiting Rumi's workshop.

"Yeah, take care," Rumi said, already returning his full attention to his coding. "Now then..." He went into his own little world, continuing to design the code to take down Phantom. There were many uncertain factors in this endeavor that made it difficult to determine the chance of success, but he had to at least try.

"Heh, thanks, but I already have plenty of work," Sir said, catching the card and placing it into his belt. While doing so, he carefully observed Phantom, trying to predict her next action as well as where her escape route would be. Sir knew that if he was in her position, the time to make that decision was not long now. As soon as a pair of new heroes arrived on the scene, the decision to flee was practically guaranteed.

What Sir was NOT expecting, however, was Phantom's sudden breakdown, as she seemed to be struggling with herself. Apparently, she was in a constant struggle to regain control of her own body. A fact that Sir had been hypothesizing, but was both glad that it was true and the sudden horror the actual sight made Sir feel upon witnessing it. He resolved to make Phantom's case his number one priority, to capture her and develop a proper antivirus software to free her mind and allow her to finally retake control.

As Sir hesitated, however, Phantom had unleashed a smoke cloud from her suit, presumably using it make her escape. "Ah shit!" Sir said, turning on the thermal vision function in his visor. He went after Phantom, holding his breath as he rushed through it, and tried to follow her, but she proved to be too fast for him and his nanobots as she disappeared around a corner. "Damn," Sir sighed. A woman was suffering, and he did nothing. He had only brought enough gear to handle some simple Ambleweeds and the occasional human assailant, and that was his failure: being unprepared to deal with an unexpected situation. Sir would learn from this mistake, but for now, he simply regrouped with Ava and Starbright. "Phantom's gone," Sir reported. "How's Ava doing?"

Sir was liking Phantom more and more. This virus proved capable of communicating by itself, meaning it had a form of sapience. Rumi knew he had to capture her, and hopefully unlock the secrets this virus hid. With the amount and quality of heroes present, overpowering Phantom would probably not be an issue. Instead, it would be whether or not they could prevent her escape. Judging from the lineup presented, it would be a difficult task, but possible if everyone was capable of working together. Time to work his magic.

While Ava continued to distract Phantom, Sir stepped out of hiding and slid over to Starbright on his nanobots, greeting Starbright with, "You should give up on wooing her, Starbright. You would have died if aid had not come," As Sir took out a few marble-like gadgets and began rolling them around in the palm of his hand, he continued, "Instead, let's work together to capture Phantom, shall we? It'll make great coverage to see the great Starbright leading this band of heroes to take down that wanted criminal. You might even finally earn that Rank A promotion I hear you've been keen on achieving."
Hey guys, it's me, the guy who really liked Parshaths. Ammokkx, 1Charak2, you guys still remember me, right?

Still doing yugioh rp's, huh? Really takes me back.

Just gonna read up on everything first before deciding whether to join this or not.
Sir E. Brum

"Begin test in three, two, one..." Rumi counted down, typing in a command on his keyboard. In the testing chamber, behind a sturdy glass window, an automaton began to crouch down and raise an arm, lifting up its watch-like device. Several sheets of metal then unfurled from it, forming a circular shield. It began to expand and shrink in diameter several times at differing speeds, as well as fold itself in and out. Then a pair of turrets appeared from a wall and began to fire at the shield, one firing bullets while the other a high-powered laser. They stopped firing after 5 seconds, and it was clear neither of the weapons were able to damage the shield very much.

"Success... I guess," Rumi said, sighing. There was nothing wrong with the device itself, Rumi made sure of that. He was just quite bored with creating such a mundane device. It was only a durable and lightweight shield one could bring anywhere and deploy at any time. There weren't even any fancy bells and whistles added into it. It didn't provide a challenge to his intellect at all. Absentmindedly spinning around on a rolling chair, Rumi hoped for something exciting to happen soon. An alarm then sounded on his H.E.R.O device, and Rumi kicked a wall to roll his chair over to it.

"I fucking called it!" Rumi exclaimed, reading the news about Ambleweeds appearing. "I told them the increase in pollen was a sign of the upcoming arrival of the Ambleweeds, and they didn't listen. It's a good thing I had Polamor Inc. stock up on extra pyrotechnical supplies." He had no need to worry for his company headquarter's safety, but he had to answer the call of a hero... and also begin the field testing of his personally upgraded gadgets.

Sir took long strides with the aid of his nanomachines pushing him along, using their miniature size and powerful swarming capability to slice and tear apart any Ambleweeds he came across. The maneating plants had rather simplistic thought processes, so it was easy to avoid their more lethal attacks and lure them into areas where they could be more easily dispatched. Any citizens he came across, Sir quickly aided them and directed them to the nearest shelter.

Sir made his way to a street and found quite a sight to behold: the ever-so-famous Starbright fighting a robotic automaton. Well, maybe not so much "fighting" as opposed to "trying to survive against". And the automaton was not actually an automaton, but a person wearing the GEN1MKII Advanced Combat Suit. He recognized this piece of tech; it was of particular interest to him at the time he read the articles due to one mishap involving a "melding" of the suit to a human body. That very person had also betrayed the H.E.R.O organization due to a virus invading her brain. "Phoenix", he recalled the ex-hero's name, now renamed "Phantom". Sir smiled, realizing the potential challenges such a virus could give him. He couldn't pass up this opportunity to study it.

Sir snuck his way closer, hiding himself behind a large truck and sending his nanobots over in secret, keeping them near the two while having them stay hidden. First he would get a feel for Phantom's fighting style, and/or if he determined that Starbright was in danger, he would deploy to form a protective barrier around Mr. Lightshow while he would swoop in to create a distraction. A wave of nanomachines and a few tarbombs (small devices holding a very sticky substance that quickly hardened in the air) would serve as an opening.
