So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

@IAmKnight that's alright. Basic movie knowledge is all that's needed. It's all I had the first time I joined a Star Wars rp.

Marvel definitely has a lotta music that exists more in the background. The only real theme that I recognize when it starts is Cap's, and sorta-kinda the Avengers main theme. But that might just be because I've heard it so many times it's ingrained itself into my skull.

Dunno if you've seen this, but its a pretty interesting video on the subject.

I don'ttt think I'd agree with the idea that the DC movies had better scores, though. The only ones that I thought were particularly stand-out were the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel themes. Batman V Superman was...meehhh. I remember thinking a few of the tracks were alright, but it was nothing stand-out. Justice League was a special kind of garbage. Never saw Suicide Squad.

I've seen that Video. I'd argue that Incredible Hulk has a really great score during the Hulk/Abomination fight. It's definitely there. - Still one of my favourite 1v1 fights in the MCU. I'll agree while the DC films have a good score, and it's less backgroundy for sure there's no real character themes on it other than Supes and Bats. I feel like they've slipped, probably spending too much of the budget on CGI to remove moustaches.

I'd argue that Marvels really turned around towards the end of phase 3 with it's scores, there was always the Avengers score when they teamed up, but I feel that Black Panther, Ragnarok, Ant-Man, Infinity War all deserve major shoutouts for having memorable scores. I'm not counting GoTG because a lot of it isn't music scored specifically for the film but instead music shoehorned in.
A large shadow appeared over the city of Haven. Circular in shape many looked up to the sky to try and determine what it was, all those except the Imperials however who knew exactly what was arriving. It took over news networks, any form of holonet broadcast and communicators chirped all over the city as the shadow continued to grow. A sonic boom could be heard as the object entered the atmosphere, a thundrous roar as engines slowed it's descent as the occuptation dome came down. First at dangerous speeds before it started to slow down gradually, flames that initially formed due to friction with the air dissipated as the dome came into full view. Crashing into the surface in a cloud of dust, massive bay doors opened releasing speederbikes and walkers. TIE Fighters swamed out of hangars, their whine clear coming out across the city. In the bar Tavick had stopped speaking to watch the video of the Imperial Occuptation Dome landing outside of the city. Most of the bar had stopped talking throughout the ordeal in fact.

"That my friend, is the Empire." The bartender turned to pour some drinks for other patrons that had approached the bar for refills as patrons suddenly wanted to drown their sorrows in a bottle. Tavick stood up and nodded. This all made sense, the darkness was continuing to grow on the planet as the bogan infected everything. Even the wildlife was beginning to act differently, no doubt this Empire sought to spread this darkness as it stripped Maldra of every resource it had to offer. The question was how could such an undeniable power be stopped, perhaps if the Republic could be contacted then they would be able to help fight the Empire off, or even the Separatists. Surely one of the two would have something to say about this other Galactic Power carving up worlds and stripping them for resources. He turned to the multi-armed arachnid sitting beside him.

"Excuse me, but do you know someone who could get in contact with either the Republic or the Separatist Alliance? Surely there's someone that would oppose this 'Empire'?"
I know we've talked soundtracks before, but until more recently (with maybe the exception of the first Iron Man and Incredible Hulk) does anyone else think, that one thing the DC movies have had over Marvel is their scores? I always find a lot of Marvel movies to have rather forgetable scores behind them.
Post is being worked on, will be up tomorrow.
@Chev I have no major issues so will leave the reviewing to @Zarkun
Mevenn touched the side of her helmet as the message relayed into her helmet. The voice was easily distinguishable, that of the Supreme Chancellor. Though something was off, static? It didn't sound quite right. The usual caring, fatherly tone was replaced by something far deeper and slower. It almost sounded menacing. "The time has come. Execute Order Sixty-Six." The message cut off straight after, and Mevenn lifted off her helmet confused. This didn't make sense, while the Supreme Chancellor technically had control over the GRA orders were typically relayed through the Navy or the Jedi Council who were the appointed Generals during the war.

"It's some kind of order, directly from Chancellor Palpatine." Machs expression read as confused as hers. That was at least a somewhat positive note. He didn't seem to be in on the conspiracy, at least not willingly. "Do you think that this order is behind it? If so we need to get back to Coruscant immediately, before any other Jedi are attacked."
Sooo, since no one’s claimed the Jedi slot... do they have to be a straight-up Jedi? Or can we do a Dark Jedi?

Dark Jedi I'm going to say no, because I'm not too fond of them as a concept as they're one stones throw away from going over the edge. Should you wish to play a Jedi that's been through Order 66 and all that, is having issues and may progress down a dark path then that I'm okay with. Though at the start of the RP it's still a conflict that's going on, lifes about the Journey y'know.
How's everyone doing? I've not seen a RP start this quiet in a looong long time.

Errr...I mean thanks. Yes. That’s what I meant to say. I hate that it had to happen due to the loss of Byrd, but I’m more than happy to help keep this game going, especially until you get off your lazy ass and start contributing again.

As for the hiatus idea, I’d personally be fine with suspending the two week posting quota until after the holidays...but if people want to post I don’t want to put a mandatory stop on doing so. Mostly because I want to post. That allows people to recharge the batteries if they want and come back swinging in the new year, but they don’t have to worry about losing their characters

I second his thoughts on the haitus thing. But also think you're a madman for letting him be a cogm
