Bio

My Name is Shadow Daedalus, but I will accept pretty much any diminutive form you can come up with. I am active in the GMT Timezone, and I mention this to help coordinate posting times with others.

I like to RP things with fighting and grit, but chilled out RPs are good too. I'm a little out of practice, so my writing style falls anywhere between Low-Casual and High-Casual.

Wide range of tastes, like Sci-fi, Modern, Fantasy and Historical. This also includes a diverse range of Fandom content, especially Games and Anime.

I don't usually play more that three characters at a time, and I'm more comfortable as a male character, but I might try to expand more in the future, you'll have to wait and see...

Not very interesting, so feel free to ask me questions :D

@CadenGallic Where do the students keep their weapons during classes? It'd be impractical to carry them around all day, especially for those with large, cumbersome weapons.

Ven has Vulcan in a chest holster in case something happens and he needs a little show of force (he is an ex-criminal after all), but he wouldn't carry his main weapon around all the time.

@Azure Sea I've finally had a chance to look for feedback on my semblance (I've been busy with college and work). If I state fixed limits, does that prevent any possible god-moding? I can list some of its weaknesses:

With these weaknesses, is it too powerful?
Venator Aurea
Lustre Academy, Combat Class

Venator leaned back into his seat as Asher volunteered for the first match. It wasn't at all surprising that he did, and now he was expecting Terrance to take that challenge as well. The blond seemed like the type that wouldn't let what happened in the hall earlier go easily; he was too prideful and too hard-headed, an undesirable trait at best for young Huntsmen. At any rate, this would give Venator a chance observe to observe how the rest of his year can fight.

Because of the unique circumstances of his team, Venator never got to see the others participating in the entrance exam. He knew that Terra was a fearsome fighter, likely the most formidable member of Team VALT, and Lynn and Azura were skilled in their own rights, but his fellow students were unknowns. Of course that also worked in the reverse, to which he pitied the poor sap that has to take Terra one-on-one.

Turning his attention back to the petite teacher, he waited to see who would be pitted against the leader of Team JAYC.
James Blackwall

Following behind the Elven ladies, James stepped into the clearing and immediately took note of the situation of the others. Evidence of battle was scattered liberally around the area, and some of the more severe wounds were still closing by themselves. He could feel the scratches and cuts doing the same across his own skin, and as he stepped closer to the centre of the camp he slid his swords back into their sheaths and began to look around the camp.

Aelar approached to embrace Maren and James watched them with a small smile before he turned his head back to the camp. They seemed drawn to the two last arrivals to the group, more specifically. James stared at Vlad for several seconds, contemplating asking him what he wanted to know, before he shook his head and pushed the thought away. They'd just come out a bandit attack, they deserved a second to take it easy... or at least as easy as they could while stuck on what could very well be a suicide mission.

His eyes finally focussed on the unmoving form of the youngest member of the group. Frowning and a little worried, he watched Isolde for a few moments as she didn't react before he crossed over to her with long strides. He knelt beside her as he pressed two fingers against her neck. He could still feel a pulse, but the fact her wasn't making a sound gave him cause for concern. Looking towards Elyra, he called for the nurse.

"Elyra! Can I have some help please?"

@Chotgoriin Hey, just checking you're still interested in this RP? If you post an IC, we can try to get the ball rolling again

@Azure Sea What's wrong with it? If I don't know, I can't fix it

Just gonna leave this here, if you don't mind

@Eklispe Before I post an IC, is Azura talking about Asher or Ven towards the end? Asher was the one to volunteer, but Ven was just waiting for someone else to step up.

Venator's hand moved closer to his jacket as Terrance's fist was reared back, or more specifically to Vulcan, hidden in a discrete holster under his arm. He was close to drawing the weapon until Miss Lariet's shout travelled across the hall and he turned his head towards her, letting his hand fall to his side as he did so. He wasn't that surprised as she gave her ultimatum, instead giving a small sigh in relief as the two from STAR backed down. He really couldn't be bothered with pointless fighting on the first day. He looked over to Yasmin with a slight smile and nodded in approval.

As Cedar piped up, the wolf gave him a small but confident smile. "No problem, we 'mutts' gotta look out for each other right? You've got a good team there, and Asher seems like a decent enough guy to lead you. I'll catch you later maybe, I gotta catch up to my team..."

With that, he headed towards the classroom. He fell into step with the petite strawberry-blonde tutor. "That was good timing, Miss Lariet. Things weren't far from going south real fast... Probably my arrest level south." He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, remembering back to the first time and only he tried (and failed) to fight her. She was the Instructor for Combat Class for a reason after all...

He didn't say much else as he walked the rest of the way, remaining quiet until he took his place with the rest of his team. In response to the obvious unasked question, he looked towards Miss Lariet in front of the group, but spoke to the three figures giving him questioning looks... well, two questioning looks and Terra... It was kinda hard to tell what he was thinking.

"Don't ask..."
The high pitched shrill of a girl caught Shadow's attention and he looked towards the growing crowd across the street from the alley he had taken refuge in. Standing slowly, he managed to see the four-armed Pokemon rip the bunny from her trainer's arms, his face curling into a slight scowl. That scowl quickly became a snarl as the small girl was mercilessly beaten down with excessive force, the steel-ghost moving closer with heavy steps until he spotted Jaden step forward and punch the other trainer straight across the face. He slowed his pace as the situation continued on, another boy stepping forward to berate them both. It finally came to an end as two more trainers stepped into the fight, calling out powerful Pokemon. The fight was diffused fairly quickly, the two rookie Trainers with pokemon out of their league disappearing quickly, but his eyes lingered on the Veteran Trainer and her Dragonite. He smiled a little at the sister-like bond between them, before his heart became heavy and he turned away.

He began walking without a defined destination when he passed by Jaden, Vix and the red-haired boy that had intervened. Jaden said his piece, filled with his usual blinding idealism and went on his way while Vix was evidently sit nonplussed by having her attacks blocked by clothing of all things. As she lit a small Ember on his jacket and scurried off, Shadow rolled his eyes a little at her immaturity before he stepped over and grabbed the trainer's sleeve. He had up to this point avoided the attention of most people, a skill accredited to his ghost side, but he didn't want to see someone get hurt because a certain bratty little fox couldn't hold off on her temper tantrums. He spoke as he usually does, short and to the point.

"Your jacket's on fire."
