Backwoods Cathedral - Soul Sacrifice

With that, there was no resistance as Blair and Madamma Enepsigos left in a flash of moonlight. There was nothing left to do now, their task here was technically done. After an uneasy silence, Fiametta spoke up,

"I'm... Going with you guys... This cathedral is... There's no one left here, so I have nowhere to stay. Besides, I can help you out", they weren't sure what the policy on having assistants was at the Citadel, would they also have to become one of the Charred Council's agents...? Fiametta wasn't willing to that prospect likely, she was very closely aligned with the side of heaven after all, but it seems in her interest to help humanity.

For now it seemed she was going to be going to the Citadel and staying there until her assistance was needed, or she decided to leave.

Meanwhile...

Blair and Madamma Enepsigos appeared in a clear a ways off from the Cathedral. As soon as they did, one of Mundus' morphs appeared.

"I see the mission was a success general. I will report this to Mundus. A camp for rest awaits you ahead", with a nod, the morph was dismissed to do their duty. Sure enough, not more than a minute was a small camp, already tended to by the morphs. Demons normally had no need for these comforts, but comforts were comforts, and they still found these more inviting. Plus, it was a good chance to have a talk.

As Blair spoke with Madamma Enepsigos, they deliberated what she offered, which was illusions and zone control, she can keep areas locked down or surveiled with little effort. She didn't seem to be the best at direct combat, relying on illusions and materialization like a mage. Regardless, Blair could now count her among her allies, along with Gorgon, who was in the 'main camp'.

Well that's been fixed. I imagine notifications get sent to student's scrolls as well.

As he listened to opinions there seemed to be a majority on the convoy. Well, there was no arguing with majority.

"Convoy it is", he said simply. They can figure out plans later, for now they should report their decision and then get the mission details off the client, or however they were going to get it. He imagined that sometimes they may simply receive a file, but they weren't doing high level clandestine missions just yet. He began writing in everyone's names as he spoke, took awhile since it needed to match IDs,

"I'll just put us down, and we'll see when this convoy is meant to go out. I really hope it's not short notice...", his concern was mostly because he wanted a break from classes before jumping into some work, but work was work, and all these jobs had a pay. Earn that money and maybe they can splurge on something nice later. Well worth the effort. Before long they got a notification on their scrolls that they had accepted the mission.
@1Charak2 So you still in this or not?

TRACK: Aria of the Soul

As their vision returned to them, they beheld a long dining room. The first thing they would notice is the decor, blue all over, in different tasteful shades and high class furnishings. Paintings along the wall depicting some rather specific events. In front of them on the table was a carving depicting a particular number and card, for Jun, it was "The Devil", while for Katsuro, it was "The Justice". As they looked down they noticed that their clothes were different too. Katsuro wore a simple suit under a dark blue hood with gold trimmings and a side cape, while Jun wore a three piece suit, fully done up in proper.

"Welcome, to the Velvet Room", they heard a voice, they looked to the end of the table to see a man with a long nose and wide, piercing eyes. It was certainly a strange person they were looking at.

"A place between mind and matter, dream, and reality. I, am Igor, only those who have signed a contract may enter this place, and it appears we've finally filled every seat at this table too", they looked around to the other seats. It was true, every other table had a silhouette sitting at it, but some of them were recognizable.

"And this is Henrietta, she will be helping you along your journey", he motioned to the long haired woman next to him.

"Now then... You have drawn, the Devil Arcana. Impulse and sin are nothing new to you, but impulse and sin no matter the reason, is still a mere distraction. It appears you have overcome this and come to realize what you truly want", he began.

"And now... You, have drawn, the Justice Arcana. One must seek guidance amidst a time of crisis, for a long time you have gone into disarray, as there was no one you could refer to, but that will have changed now, perhaps these new friends you have made, will be there to fill the gap", it was a personal topic, but more importantly... How did this man know about all this? When either would try and ask, they would find no voice left their mouth.

"For now...", Igor clicked his fingers and Henrietta left, shortly to return with two keys on a cushion, that she would begin to walk around the table and hand to both Jun and Katsuro.

"These are keys you may use to access this room again, you will return here later of your own accord, or of requirement, but until then... Farewell", and with that, they lost consciousness.
Now dungeons are finally over.

I'll move us to slice of life stuff.

Also exams are very soon.

Attack after attack repelled the Ursaring, realizing it was outmatched it started backing away slowly, but the moment it was hit with Hammer Arm it was convinced staying for one source of food was not worth the effort right now. After the Disarming Voice he backed away and gave an indignant growl and dirty look before retreating, keeping it's eyes on the group before turning around and disappearing into the woods. The Ursaring didn't seem very happy with the result, but that aside, they were now free to assess the situation.

The two Eevees seemed rather sorry for the older Eevee's selflessness by tanking the hit for them, but now that it was healed up enough to get up, it looked at the two younger Eevees and the party proceeded to watch as they got scolded.

The two Eevees though didn't only feel bad that what they had done had almost gotten them mortally wounded by the Ursaring, but they were thankful to the trainers that helped them. Even so, they weren't the best at showing that sincerely, it seems they wanted to repay them and join them. They seemed a bit keen at the idea, as it would be more interesting than staying in this forest for their whole lives.

With classes largely done for the day, there were a bunch of jobs on the noticeboard, that they gathered around to look at. A few groups already grabbed a bunch, leaving only three left. Regular patrol, convoy escort, or hunting. The hunt appealed to him personally, but he didn't have much experience when it came to tracking out in the woods. Tracking people in a city he can do, but not a beast out in the woods. Maybe convoy escort then...? Since he was the leader of his team, he gets the final say, but maybe he should see what they think...

"I'm thinking convoy or hunt, what do you guys think?", he asked simply. Combat was assured in one, and merely expected in the other. A dust shipment to a small village is usually a simple affair, with very little interference, so it was likely a peaceful mission. Occasionally there'd be thieves he would wager, but they lived in a rather peaceful time. The Grimm Hunt seemed more standard to what their profession was to be though, but he had no experience tracking in the wild, perhaps Cedar did though... Regardless, he waited for an answer.

"And this is the library, once when I was here there was a Pokemon battle and the librarian got reeaaally pissed", as Talonite was listening to his story, he had a feeling it was York who was instigating that battle, but before any response could be made, York who wasn't looking in front of him crashed into a moving pile of books, some of those books fell on Talonite due to the sheer amount of them, like an explosion of sorts. As York reoriented himself, the lady holding that pile of books, now strewn across the floor, spoke to them. She was right, they were at the lab, but he didn't actually remember her clearly. Perhaps it was someone at the healing station? Maybe it was someone who went up to his mother? Who knows, wasn't important now though.

"Ah that's okay, yeah I was at the lab. Are you also a new trainer? I'm York, and this here's Tal. It's actually Talonite but I can't be bothered saying all of it", he was strangely jovial, if he was more self aware about his manners he could almost hear his Froakie making a retort that he just bothered to say Talonite's full name. Said Froakie is currently in it's ball because it demanded to rest in it's "Chariot of Hell" to rejuvenate it's strength.

Regardless, now he was picking up books, there were certainly a lot of them, most were on herbs and medicines. So she was either a botanist or a doctor.
