I do work in a haunted house.

In my mind, this is now the reason why you made a skeleton character.
"Yeah I know, I was making sure he stayed that way." He replied Cooley.
"Why are you feeling sorry for him anyways?"

"Ehh?" Vedika replied, dumbfounded, "Nah, s'nothing like that. I defend the helpless. And right now, he be. Helpless." Vedika grinned awkwardly at Jason when Adrian shifted himself out of her hold.

Vedika turned her attention back to Paulina and Ashleigh, when Liam came and returned Paulina's glasses. Another boy arrived and started trying to suss out the situation. Vedika sort of just backed off slightly at that point. Resolving interpersonal issues wasn't her forte. Each person was entitled to the contents of their own mind, Vedika protected bodies, not hearts, and that's the way it was supposed to be. To many people, Vedika acted like a callous, grinning superman, swooping in unwanted to prevent harm, and swooping out, leaving emotional matters unresolved. Though it seemed Paulina and Ashleigh were making up with Adrian, and Vedika nodded in mild approval.

Giving Adrian one last smile, she drew away and proceeded to practically drag Ashleigh and Vedika into the gym by their arms. ”Thank you, guys, for trying to help back there.”

"Hey, no worries," Vedika said, then declared in an emotionally obtuse fashion, "Everything is good if no one is hurt." Vedika turned her attention back to Jason, who seemed to be heading back to the gym as well with a new friend. "Hey," she yelled across the short distance, "I'm sorry for cock-blocking you. I know how unsatisfying it is when a punch doesn't connect. If you're still mad, I'll let you punch me later," She flashed him a thumbs up and a silly grin.
Just to check, whose characters are new to the Academy, and whose have been there for a while?

Okay, Liam, Ashleigh, Crown, Adrian, and Alister all at least know of Paulina and have met her at least once, if they are not directly friends with her. Probably Vedika @Stern Algorithm as well, since those two seem like they would probably get along very well.

Elaine, Jason, and Zach have all now had their first taste of her XD Takes charge of a situation quite nicely doesn't she, when she's not impaired.

Vedika has been here since she was 13. Vedika probably knows Paulina, but Vedika's really flighty, and despite being super-friendly to almost everyone she meets, doesn't actually 'stick around' to make deep, lasting relationships. Paulina and Vedika can still be friends if you want, Vedika actually has no qualms about being a guinea pig.

Also, I don't mean to hold the RP up, but I can't get a post up today. Real life stuff.

Vedika cringed as Paulina's foot went for Adrian's crotch. But as Adrian's grip loosened, Vedika moved the palms she had on Paulina's back around Paulina until Vedika had Paulina in a princess-carry, swinging her away from the collapsing Adrian, and setting her back on her feet.

Vedika turned around and assessed the situation only to notice another boy approaching. Seeing him rear back, Vedika crouched down and placed her palms on Adrian's surprisingly cold body, negating the impact of the punch that followed.

She looked up at Jason with a puzzled look, "He's already down, man."

Turning to Ashleigh, Vedika asked, "Is she hurt?"
I'm attempting to thing of a way that would calm him, but at this point realistically he wouldn't with more people attacking him... We'll see. I might just have the belt kick it up a notch and crash his temperature. He might still be angry, but he won't be able to act on it really.

I had hoped letting him punch Paulina to his heart's content (even without doing any damage) might be therapeutic.
With the hole Magnastar was able to open up in the Omnidroid, Cassie knew it was time to finish this. She made a gesture like a conductor urging the orchestra to a crescendoed finale, easing her hands in front of her, palms upward. The acoustic traps she had laid out switched back to the frequency that she believed was as close as she could get the droid's resonant frequency and amped up the volume. A perfect shape, like a sphere, was great at redistributing stress. However certain stresses, like harmonic stress, tended to concentrate at flaws and imperfections: chips, cracks, fractures, etc. It was Cassie's hope that the hole Magnastar had carved would be a great focal point for her acoustic stress to concentrate, and that the material, while a metal and therefore malleable, was hard and brittle enough to actually start shattering.

Vedika looked around the gym, pleased to see so many bright young faces meeting new people. Given how the negatively some of the interactions were actually going, it is safe to say that Vedika saw the world through rose-tinted glasses. Then an angry individual pushed past her, making his way out of the gym. She wasn't angered by his pushing her out of his way, but she was concerned about him leaving. She didn't much care for the rules, but she didn't want the boy getting in trouble with the faculty for not knowing any better. So she idiotically followed him out, breaking the same rule she was planning on preventing him from breaking.

What happened next was a blur. A girl collided with the boy, and the boy reacted with rage, lifting the girl. Vedika saw that he was about to punch her so she quickly ran over, widened her stance, and placed both hands on the small of the girl's back. He could hit her, but Vedika's aura would protect the girl from the force of the impact, though Vedika was unaware of the fact that the boy would also emanate heat, something her barrier could not yet negate.
@Genkai

Hi, I noticed you were looking for fandoms. I also like your short bio/RP rules which I think are compatible with my personal preferences.

I know it's not on your list, but would you be interested in a Legend of Zelda based RP? I've been coming up with my own iteration of Hyrule and wanted to flesh it out/share it with someone/RP in it.
Vedika stood on the roof of the building, overlooking the nearby scenery. As the wind brushed through her hair, an inspirational quote popped into her head: "Look Simba, everything the light touches is our kingdom."

Hmm. Maybe not the most awe-inspiring quote, still, she had to keep herself occupied somehow over the break, which she did through climbing. Everything. She wasn't allowed t ogo back to her family, as far as the 'normal world' was concerned, she was serving time in prison for manslaughter. She'd only gotten to see her family a few times in the past five years when they'd pressed for visitation rights, in which case an elaborate ruse was set up where Vedika was carted off to the prison nearest her home and told to pretend to be a prisoner. As funny as that might sound, it was one of the few times where the reality of her situation actually got her down; she couldn't stand to lie to her parents and siblings like that, and the thought of it had made the tears come, tears that all the more convinced her family that she was a prisoner and hating prison life. Technically, she was a prisoner, but if she didn't think too hard about it (and she rarely thought hard about anything), life at the Academy wasn't half-bad. She was in her senior year, and looking forward to the future. Perhaps one day, if she does as she's told, she'll redeem herself, and return home a hero of sorts. Yeah, maybe she'll become one of the world's first superheroes, that's what people with unusual powers were supposed to do, right?

A clatter brought Vedika out of her reverie as the roof access door unlocked and opened noisily. "Hey! How'd you get up here?" called the voice of some janitor or roof technician.

"Shit!" Vedika clambered over the chain link fence and let herself drop. As she plummeted towards the ground, she focused her mind and concentrated on her core strength. She struck the ground like a steel statue, stiffly bouncing once before stopping. Coming out of her defensive state, she noticed that she had left two nasty bumps in the soft earth. Looking up she could see the janitor looking down at her through the fence in annoyed awe.

With a silly, apologetic face, Vedika slinked away and headed for the gym where the social would take place. She would take it upon herself to make all shy newcomers feel welcome, and maybe even try to soften the barriers of some of the non-freshmen who she hadn't been able to close the distance with.

Mentioned: Jarvan, Sion, Noxians

Jarvan frowned and answered the god: “If any Noxian were to raise a blade against me, then I or my men will cut them down. Perhaps it is good that you are here.”

The emperor’s eyes narrowed on Katarina and Kled. “You may just be sparing them from my wrath.”

"Confident..." Lamb said, then thought to herself, but foolish. "Tell me, young emperor, do you have a contingency should things go awry?"

"A surprise! A surprise!" Wolf growled gleefully.

Lamb decided to leave it at that, any more and she would be giving away too much. The Kindred turned their attention on the ancient Yordle that had made its presence known.

"This one has escaped us for far too long..." Wolf sneered.

"His time will come, Dear Wolf," Lamb said reassuringly. The Kindred walked over to where Garen was trying to guide the small creature and observed.
