I'll be going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow and don't know how often I'll have Internet access. Thank you for your patience. I'll try to be more regular when I get back.

Throwing my interest in here with a CS.

Also, this RP reminds me of this game:

As for plot, I'm fine with anything. If there's a lot of political intrigue, Michel could get caught up in the crossfire.
Post-Ironic.

Inkarnate's profile pic goes really well with that post.
Sierra

Summer 1, 12:00PM

Sierra had taken the day off to volunteer with helping set up for the Summer Festival and she was already regretting it. She felt that as a citizen of Willow's Valley, she needed to be present and to participate, to show that she was pulling her weight and making a contribution since she spent most of her time by herself up on the mountain digging. It miffed her to see so many people working so hard at something so utterly frivolous.

"No you nitwit! That box goes behind the table, not on top of it!"

Sierra slowly moved the box down to where 'George' had indicated, closing her eyes, and fighting back the urge to punch the elderly man in the teeth.

"Oh, by the way, I don't see you in church at all. There's a special festival sermon happening soon. We're getting back to work right after, so you better stick around," the old man said, grinning as if he'd successfully corrected Sierra's deviant ways.

Sierra clenched her teeth and her fists, "...fine..." This man was someone's father, Sierra reminded herself.

"I'll see you at the church then, I should change into my Sunday best!"" George said and waved as he went home.

Of course, it was too far to go back up the mountain, change, and come back, not that Sierra had any intention to dress nice for 'God'. Not that she had anything to dress nice in anyways. She sighed and shambled over the the church.

If its an Asian religion, we would have temples & shrines instead of churches, with incense sticks, gold papers

That being said, should Abdelrahman's church be devoted to God (AKA the God of the Jews, Christians, and Muslims) or to the Goddess (AKA Harvest Goddess)?

The way it's depicted in the games is somewhat ambiguous so I understand @Bishop's confusion. The Goddess feels like a local diety, a concept more prevalent in Eastern Religion, but the iconography of the churches feels very Christian, with crosses, confessionals, pews, and pastors.

Lyra opened her mouth to apologize, but closed it again as she felt the eyes of the water serpent on her. "Ah, yes. We'd like to cross your bridge, please."

The river serpent... chuckled. Ripples ran down its body and the soft susurrus of shaking reeds filled the air. "Over, under, ridge... But you're too young to cross my bridge." A serpentine arc flooded the bridge, and the head dropped down past the girls' knees. "Beyond the bridge is not for ones as as little as these. Unless the shadowbinder knows, permits and sees."

Rising again and passing so close that the girls could have felt its breath, if it had any, it rippled again. "Or, prove you can. Maybe the bridge is yours to cross. Test my will and I test yours, I test your skill and you test mine." It rose further, and a cobra-like hood spread out in a full hemisphere from the creature's 'neck'. "Which among you would stop a river's flow?"

"It's speaking in verse," ShiZhen thought to herself sarcastically, which was rather unusual for the girl. But when it got to the part of asking which among them would stop a river's flow, she looked over at Lyra and gave a weak smile. "I guess that would be me,
wouldn't it? Do I just...attempt to cross?"
She asked the water snake, walking over towards the bridge and placing one foot upon it gingerly, hoping it didn't make any sudden movements.
Alright, resubmitting the irritable Eileen:

Most mages in RPGs tend to harness more than one element. I intended Tessa to harness metal (to control her chains), lightning (to send through her chains for damage), and gravity (to create AoE slowing fields). Will this still be possible?
@everyone:
What are some elements of the Overlord setting, you would like to explore during play?
Perhaps some bit of lore that was only mentioned in passing.

@BurningDaisies
I think I want to improve the world. Or at least meddle in the business of the NPC kingdoms. It should be fun with how overpowered she is.

Absolutely this. Lexus Dominiel subscribes to a version of 'good' that is not palatable to most people with a sense of free will. Seeing things in black-and-white, LD will tolerate no deviance and no insubordination. If anything, LD will seek out the 'holiest' kingdom, purge the leadership of any and all existing corruption, and establish a hegemony for the greater good, with absolute distribution of wealth. The only upside is LD does not discriminate, and wants to see all races living good, equal, sinless lives

<Snipped quote by BurningDaisies>

Well, after some initial character development on each of our own parts related to the new reality in which they find themselves immersed, I think it'll have to come to pass where the players with positive moral alignment have to come to terms with the fact that, since everyone's no longer just playing a game in which their actions have no real consequences, having evil sadistic supervillians out there to torture, enslave, and destroy the world as they see fit can't be allowed to continue.

In Overlord, as far as I know, Momonga is the only superpowerful player, and because he's quite literally an evil overlord he has free reign to kill 70,000 people with a single spell and summon an eldritch abomination to slaughter even more. In this story, there's going to be both good and bad all-powerfuls; characters like my own, Lexus Dominiel, SpringPuppy, and Selena might have to decide whether to betray their principles and let their peers-turned-megalomaniacs run rampant, or decide to oppose the overwhelming odds.

It could be quite the interesting story; a tale of former friends turned enemies as they embrace their new selves, obliged to be the horrible or heroic beings they set themselves up as, blurring the line between reality and fantasy, a tale of losing one's humanity or perhaps reclaiming it.

Being an NPC, Lexus Dominiel's does not realize that the world is any different. But Lexus Dominiel is now sentient, and is capable of realizing that the player characters are not in fact, all-good, all-knowing, or all-powerful. Serving them, therefore, may create a contradiction, and as the Angel of Law, Lexus Dominiel cannot tolerate contradictions.
