@ERode Thank you for a wonderful RP, my favorite in a long time. Thank you for all the dedication and hard work you've put in. I'm sorry to hear that you've burned out, but do take care of yourself.
They do not need to be kindred spirits, and kindred spirits do not need to be related to the character they're for, despite the name. Kindred Spirits is merely a way of you saying what characters you'd like to appear, and ones more related to your character are more likely to appear, but that's where relation ends. If you happen across a character that you like in IC and you meet the requirements, you can take control of that character whether or not it's your kindred spirit.

I might have to rethink my Kindred Spirits then. I might have to distinguish between which ones I'd like to play as and which ones I'd just like to appear.
Zahra Mazghuuri

Zahra considered Alexei's questions about safely disabling their own allies should they fall under forced commandeering. Taking a sip of her tea, Zahra calmly added, "It seems almost defeatist for us to be discussing taking out our own, ominous even, but I am not the superstitious type and commend your foresight, Mr. d'Vexville. Since my drones are capable of repair, they are also capable of disabling an allied NC in a non-lethal manner if it should be called for. However, I sincerely hope that we can take out this threat before such misfortune should befall us. Although the Commander General has implored us to capture the pilots, the safety of the team and the defense of Darwin are our priorities, and anything that poses too great a threat to either should be dealt with accordingly."

Zahra was glad to see that the less emotionally stable members were getting support from their peers, though it was a bit troubling to know that their other repair specialist was Chelsea, the one she had comforted back at the briefing. It didn't do for a field medic to lose focus and presence of mind so easily. If anything, a medic had to be made of tougher stuff than most soldiers. Zahra said a silent prayer that they would be given the fortune of being able to defend from safe positions and to be able to make quick hit-and-run offensives, and to not have their psychological weaknesses exploited by the enemy. of course, whatever happened was the will of God.

Then a French woman entered, calling everyone her 'alouettes' and asking them to call her maman. Zahra raised an imperceptible eyebrow at the younger-looking woman, and wondered if this was a sign of haughtiness, delusion, or actual age. Of it was truly due to age, it made Zahra question the unnatural things humans did to themselves to avoid meeting their Lord. Not that such practices were absent in Al-Amir either, this was simply Zahra's most recent encounter with the anti-aging process.

Din

Level 1 - (2/10) EXP
Location: 1-1, Central Road
Word Count: 456

"An incarnation of the legendary hero?" Din asked Linkle in puzzled amusement. She had never heard of a female incarnation before, but then again, the land of Hyrule had a pretty short historic memory. "Yes, I met another Link," Din said, glad to have struck common ground, and following Linkle as she headed towards the fat lizalfos who called himself 'King Bowser", "He saved my life, and the fate of my homeland, but I guess that's what heroes do."

Then Bowser spoke up again, explaining his hypothesis of recent events. The mention of mind control made Din cringe, she had heard that her fellow Oracle, Nayru of Ages, was mind-controlled by Veran, General Onox's ally, and fellow servant of the evil Ganon. Of course, Link had saved Nayru as well, but having one's will subjugated was something that made Din uncomfortable, and just the suggestion that she was being controlled to attack this 'Kirby' made her shudder. As the group of misfits began to gather around Bowser, Din felt a strange affinity for them. They reminded her of her traveling performance troupe, a group of clowns, meant in the most endearing way possible. But a twinge of guilt haunted her. Last time, despite being the Oracle of Seasons, she had been powerless to stop Onox from kidnapping her, and the land of Holodrum was plunged into chaos. She could do nothing for her friends, and using her rod, Link was able to save everyone. Now the Rod of Seasons was in her hands, yet she had promised herself not to abuse its power. But looking out over the patchwork landscape, the world, or worlds, were already plunged into chaos, much like Holodrum was. So if Link was justified to use the rod to right the chaos, perhaps Din could as well? With everything so messed up, surely a little change in seasons would be of little concern. She looked over at a bush, that seemed to be smiling at her, and waved the rod at it weakly, trying not to draw attention to herself. Nothing happened. The frost of winter that she had attempted to summon did not come. Din looked at the rod, noticing that the gems of the four seasons were indeed embedded in the head of the rod, yet they were dull. Great. Even if she wanted to use it, she couldn't.

As they arrived at the head of the path to the castle, a few members trailed off the the side to explore the other path, but Din decided to stay with Bowser and the main group, mostly so she could remain with Linkle. She clutched her rod in apprehension, wondering if she could even contribute should combat ensue.
Still here
So I hope everyone's back from Nanowrimo, though I realize people might be gearing up for holidays soon. I'll try to get a post up soon.
@Lmpkio

Loved the reference to the Link cameo

Again, he should. But considering we are only allowed to have a maximum of three slots, 1 or two of which to be characters I want to control as my secondaries, you gotta make some sacrifices. Unless I can just add a fourth one for her or something idk.

I originally had one for Mallow and Smithy when I first made the profile, but then was considered the fact that this is also a location for potential secondary characters so...

I was sort of only joking. I just imagine what if Geno's true form is a luma?
