Bio

I have been writing as a hobby for longer than you have been alive. I have been a regular member and roleplayer of no less than fourteen different online forums during that time (including the old RPG), five six eight of which no longer exist.

I was previously a regular on the Homestuck forums, but I became so sick of thread turnover there that I asked around and eventually found the Guild. Since joining, I have exclusively only participated in Advanced RPs. Before Mahz gave NRPs their own subforum, I used to be an NRP regular in the Advanced Subforum. I am a Guildfall survivor, and know/regularly write with a few others.

If you ask anybody who has written with me in previous RPs, they should tell you that I have a generally open schedule, I post regularly and in a timely fashion, and I never drop an RP once I join unless the thread dies. Some of them may tell you that I have extensive expertise within the realms of Biology, Psychology, and Physics, which I will make no effort to validate since there is no way I can provide hard proof of aforementioned alleged expertise to anybody over the internet (though I am happy to try and answer any questions you send my way).

My favorite fandom is the Myst franchise, which seemingly nobody other than me has ever heard of.

I was a Contest Moderator for the Writing Contests Subforum for just a little bit over two years. I wrote the Moderation Policy for that subforum and I ran a contest called the Twelve Labours; you can still go there and see all of them and the entries people wrote for them in the Contests Section and the Victory Archives.

I have been quadruple secret banned from the guild discord. That is not a joke.

FOR THE GLORIOUS EMPIRE, WE SHALL BRING THE LIGHT OF CIVILIZATION TO THESE FILTHY SAVAGES!

Hey! You're getting your Benevolent Imperialism in my Benevolent Imperialism!
Oh and terminal, not to make the enned antsy or anything. The pirates have no idea how to use those things.

:)

Im not even sure what they are yet...

It's all good. We're definitely close enough for shenanigans to ensue - I don't suppose your lost crew might have activated a distress beacon or something of a similar nature that might point Legacy in their direction? Ennedi sensor tech is one of their more advanced areas, but even they might have trouble detecting just one ship lost in the midst of space unless it was putting out some serious/specific signals.

I'll see what I can do either way natch.
So, in this distance calculator, is the result measured in Light years?

Each pixel is one hundred lightyears, one pixel equaling one coordinate point. So the result is measured in hundreds of lightyears. In essence, tack an extra two zeros onto everything.

@Nilesapa and @Eschatologist, for example, will yield a result of 517. Which means they are 51,700 lightyears apart from one another.
Sadly no entry from me this time, I enjoyed my vacation far too much and when I finally came up with an idea the wave of exhaustion and not wanting to stay up till way early in the morning won out. Though, looks like another great batch. Looking forward to reading them all.

That is indeed unfortunate. The list of people who had participated in and won every Labour is dwindling and was already rather small.

At this rate, there isn't going to be a Final Hazard.

OH WELL.
I was about ready to say, "Where's is my entry?" until I realized that it was under a different title than the one I submitted it with. But the new title still is relevant to the story, so good job Terminal!

Sorry about that, I completely missed that your desired title was in the SUBJECT OF THE PM YOU SENT IN PLAIN VIEW AT THE VERY TOP OF THE SCREEN IN ALL CAPS IT WAS THE FIRST THING I SHOULD HAVE SEEN. So I read through the story and tried to give it a title that I felt was fitting.

Whoops.
By default, I will be judging:

Forgotten Dream
All Or Nothing
Snatcher
Little Guardian
All entries are up. Congratulations to all Challengers for managing to break the post limit; I am eminently pleased with your loquaciousness.
Here is the final entry.

@RomanAria will be assisting me with the judging this time around, and will have the first pick of stories. Once ready, they will post here in the thread announcing which stories they will be reviewing.
Here are all the submissions. As a general reminder, I have only included forum names if given permission by the author to do so - otherwise, these stories remain anonymous. Feel free to post reviews for these stories in the general conversation thread. Try to provide some helpful critiques and suggestions, and mention anything you liked.

Winners will be declared on August 4th, and any applicable Challenge Accolades will also be awarded then. All winning entries will be saved in the Twelve Labours Archive with a permanent link in my signature, as well as mentioned in a report in the News section and General Discussion subforums. Once again, thanks to @mdk and the rest of the RPGC crew for helping to schedule The Twelve Labours. Another special thanks to @mahz for cranking out the awesome trophy and titles system.

If you did not win, but feel you should have? Make an appeal to the judge who made the call for your entry (yes, you'll know which judge evaluated it). Keep it classy, and exercise some courtesy while making your case, and they might just reevaluate your entry. Please keep in mind, you only get the one appeal. Sometimes you just have to let it go.

Also: For the first time in The Twelve Labours' history, the number of submissions I have received have BROKEN THE LIMIT. Excelsior!

Did you send me an entry? Did you send it before Objective Midnight, August 1st? Does it not break any of the rules? IS IT NOT HERE FOR SOME REASON? Throw a rock at me and scream until I post it here!

The Stories:

Due to the character limit, the final entry will be subsequently posted.
Submission for the Twelve Labours ended approximately five hours ago. Time's up.

All entries will shortly be posted for viewing in the Third Labour thread. All entries will be reviewed and judged within 3 days. Expect the winners to be announced on the 4th.
