I just updated the original post with some Kingdom information if anyone is interested in that :]
@Saarebas Yay! Thank you! :] Hopefully we can get some more interest and then get this going soon.
Bump! :]
This is sort of just a rough draft for now, but essentially you will be creating a person on Earth who will be chosen by one of the Greek Gods/Goddesses. They won't know they are chosen at first, but will suddenly have one extraordinary ability that relates to their God/Goddess and things will become more clear when Hermes' chosen person finds them. (I will be playing that person so that I can guide our ragtag group along the way, along with one other character just for the fun of it.)

I will lead our group into tough situations and the like, where everyone's abilities will come in handy. When they prove themselves useful they may be granted one additional ability and so on, but not a bunch of new powers all at once.

I'm going to add more information about the cultures of each kingdom, which will affect how each group member will get along with the others as well as their back story, but below is the main premise for now.

Hopefully there's some interest for it out there! :]

The Earth is dying.

It has seemed that way for decades, possibly even centuries, but it has always been so slow that most mortals have simply gone numb to the planets ever fading radiance. There are only few ancient enough remember a world vibrant with life. However, something has happened recently that no one can ignore or brush off.

Winter has long been over according to the calendar, but the returning vegetation hasn't lasted with the Spring season. The great kingdom of Eredel once had thick forest sprawled across their entire territory, yet most of the trees have begun dropping every last leaf as they move closer to Summer. The strong rivers of Haventis have grown weak and some have even dried up completely. Vespora grows hotter each day and what little farmland Adland has won't grow enough crops to feed everyone.

The Gods and Goddesses of Olympus have heard the prayers of millions calling for help and thus they must act, yet they are forbidden from taking physical form on Earth. Zeus has, however, permitted them to each pick a one being of their choice to grant special abilities to in order to find a solution to this ever growing problem. It all seems a game to Zeus, seeing as he knows the answer, but the Gods will play along. They are tasked with guiding these mortals through visions and whatever means they see fit.

Hermes, the messenger God, has been given the responsibility of roping each of these chosen individuals together to form a quest to save the Earth. Zeus permits Hermes to tell this group one helpful bit of information; The key is to find Gaia's Heart. An old forgot legend says that eons ago, when the Titan Cronus overthrew his father from the throne, he also locked away his mother Gaia far away and left her there to die. Finding her could save the planet.

This group of heroes will face things they have never seen or experienced before, realizing that the world has so many magical wonders that they had been previously sheltered from. Although they have the Gods helping them along the way, they must prove themselves worthy and overcome many obstacles - including getting along with their counterparts.

Notes

  • This is set in medieval times.
  • You may request another God/Goddess to be added to the list that may not be there already by PMing me or asking in the OOC.
  • The first ability should not be overly powerful. Eventually our heroes will learn 2nd, more powerful abilities as we get further into our adventure.
  • You will not be controlling your God/Goddess much, unless instructed by myself or given approval. They will usually just be used to advance the story or character development.

@Noodles

Reina breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily the young girl didn't seem too annoyed by Bruno's playful antics. She had almost forgotten how forgiving and nice people were in Willow Valley, especially in comparison to the city she had been living in.

"I'm Reina." She gently set Bruno down and shortened his leash a bit so he couldn't climb on top of the girl again. "It's nice to meet you!" She smiled and outstretched her hand for a handshake. "I don't think I've seen you around here either.." She paused to think, then laughed a bit, "Then again, I've mostly been locked up remodelling my dad's old pub, so I've barely seen anyone lately."

Bruno let out a little whimper, pulling against the leash in another direction and staring at a curly haired man who was nearby helping out other shopkeepers. Clearly, Bruno was bored and wanted a new friend to play with now. Reina briefly glanced in the direction Bruno stared, noticing the man she recognized as Fabron Smith. She had grown up with him here in Willow Valley, but it had been a long time since they had spoken. She wondered if he remembered her.

Turning back to the girl in front of her, she smiled, "Hey, if you're of drinking age, you should come check out the Raven & Bard tonight! It's the grand reopening!" She grinned with pride, "Or," She finally took a moment to assess if the girl actually looked like she could legally drink. "you could stop by to enjoy the live music. We have a band playing tonight and most night's it'll be an open mic for anyone."

Ah yes, cop was definitely a job in Harvest moon games

There was a cop in Harvest Moon Back to Nature.
@ineffable Just thinking up some more jobs other than Poultry and Ranch - perhaps a cop or firefighter? I don't believe we have any of those yet. :]

"Mmm...Five more minuteeessss" Reina groaned into her pillow, refusing to open her eyes. She had awoken to a persistent tug at the bottom of her pajama pants. Standing on two legs, with two paws against the mattress for support, little razor blade teeth nipped at her ankle and tried to rip a hole into her pants.

"Knock. It. Off." Reina opened one eye reluctantly, meeting her icy blue orbs with playful little green eyes staring back at her. They were locked in a stare down for a few seconds before the little six month old black german shepherd wiggled it's butt and let out a loud, high pitched, "RrrrrrUUUFFF!!" and with that, the puppy bolted out of the room like a bullet shot from a barrel.

Reina couldn't help but laugh as she watched up the pup run down the hall way, sliding sideways into a wall when he took a turn too quickly on hardwood floor. "You goof." She giggled, finally sitting up in bed and stretching her arms out. "I guess I'm up..." She mummbled, looking at the alarm clock on her night stand. "NOON ALREADY?!" She jumped up from bed and hurried just as quickly down the hall as the german shephard had and into the bathroom. She needed to shower and get ready quickly if she wanted to be there for all the fun of the Summer Festival.

"Alright Bruno, let's go." She leaned down and attached a black leash to the dogs collar. Bruno could barely hold still, his tail wagged in every direction. Reina shook her head, "You'd think you would get bored of this after awhile... I take you everywhere!" She opened the door and Bruno was the first one out, pulling gently against the leash to get Reina to walk faster.

When they finally reached the town square Bruno had simmered down a bit, finally deciding it was better to walk beside Reina rather than to constantly pull against the leash and wear himself out in the heat. "Looks like most people are already finished setting up for the day..." She thought, looking around at all the shops that had been set up. Her eyes trailed a group of people heading into the church and her mind instantly went to her father. He loved this festival, and he loved church. She wasn't really one for religion, but her father had always forced her to attend services when she lived here. Perhaps she should go, just this once, if only in his honor. "Dad would probably be rolling in his grave if I didn't at least show my face there, since it's the festival and all..." She looked down at Bruno who was busy trying to catch a fly buzzing around his head. "What do you think, Bruno?" She asked, briefly wondering if she had gone crazy since moving back here only three months ago. She was constantly talking to this dog as if he could respond to her... perhaps it wasn't a good thing to be spending most of your time alone in your house, or alone remodeling the bar.

On the bright side, tonight was going to be a great night. It was to be the Raven & Bard's reopening! When she had returned, the place had been so out dated that she just HAD to remodel the place. It had taken up most of her savings and a good chunk out of her inheritance, but hopefully it would be worth it. People were especially likely to come to the bar during the Summer Festival, so she planned on it being a busy night. Hopefully, or all her work would have been for nothing...

"Okay, let's go... for dad." She sighed and made her way with Bruno towards the church. Or at least she tried, until Bruno saw something more interesting and pulled her off in that direction.

"Bruno!" She wasn't quick enough, the pup walked right up and onto a woman's lap, picking up some food that had dropped onto her shorts. "I'm so sorry!" She scooped up the small dog into her arms and lightly tapped him on the nose. "No, Bruno. We don't do that!" She frowned and looked at the young girl, who she didn't recognize. "Sorry, again. He's still a work in progress." @Noodles
