@pyroman That may be the case, yes, but Tamers doesn't have the mid/end game that this one ideally will have. Ideally I'd like a minimum of five but I'll work with what I can get.
Virtue, a firm and habitual disposition to the good. Even in the Digital World, constructed of raw data though it may be, the concept of virtue has a hold. However, not even the digital is ideal. Consumed with pride, a lone Digimon, formerly an Angel-type, sought to posses the Digital World itself. For its insurrection, it was cast down to the Dark Area, whence there is no return.
Now, the Dark Area stirs, and the beasts within threaten to consume the light. Only the Crests of legend can protect the Digital World now... Welcome! The aim of this RP will be, as implied above, a journey to the Digital World, wherein our characters seek out the Crests and vanquish a threat to the Digital World. However, it's not going to be as cut-and-dry as one might think at first. The goal here is to have flawed characters- ones who aren't the sparkling embodiment of the Crest which they eventually end up possessing. Quite the contrary, we are seeking characters who have to learn more about their aligned crest than others. The activation of the Crests should, ideally, be something that doesn't come easy, is a struggle for a character, and will take quite a bit of doing- not ideal at all in fact. This way, we can create a dynamic, character driven roleplay, focused on interaction and development as well as adventure and action (if not moreso). Also, due to the more complex, mature way the story is being handled, characters will be older than they typically are in the Digimon anime, to differentiate a little, and so you don't feel like you have to pull any punches. Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty, shall we? Digivolution paths can be pretty much anything within reason, from Baby to Mega, with a possibility for DNA Digivolution, and potentially an enhanced Mega stage. The Digivolution paths you choose should at least be thematically similar, but aside from that, the ball is in your court. The Digivice that will be used will be the Digivice 01, pictured below:
This Digivice will have all its appropriate functions- meaning facilitating Digivolution, Care of Digimon, DNA Digivolution, and the reversal of such (Partition), and the transmission of messages between Digivices and Digimon in the Digital World. Crests will be used to facilitate Digivolution above Champion level, and will trigger when the human character exhibits a set of behavior which is represented by their Crest. As such, when a Crest activates is up to the GM's discretion, and not that of the players. To be frank, though I don't want to tie down the RP to a specific date or year, I would prefer if things were kept '90's-esque', or were portrayed in ways that were common in the late 1990's or early 2000's. This doesn't mean that any character personalities will be cut back or anything based on what was "normal" at the time, but please note the limitations of wearable or portable technology. Thank you for understanding.
Name: Age: Crest: Appearance: Bio: (The actual important stuff to writing a character)
Name: (If Applicable) Personality:
Stage- Baby Species: Attribute: Technique- (One for Baby and In-Training) 1:
Fairly tall with an olive skin tone and a preference for tighter shirts, which are usually a single, bold or bright color. His black hair is usually slicked back with two prominent forelocks. Diego tends to wear tight dark pants, although he occasionally mixes it up with somewhat loud accessories. His frame is lithe and healthy, though he still carries a bit of baby fat. His eyes are a warm amber color, and his general face shape is one that is sharp, but offers a welcoming expression.
Personality
Anyone you ask will say Diego's a friendly guy. He has an energetic air which mixes well with his party going tendencies. Those who know him know that he's always there to lend an ear to anyone who asks it. However, not many are able to say much more. In fact, Diego does not really open up to anyone about his personal issues. Be it medical issues, financial strain, or family problems, his lips are buttoned tighter than a tin can, despite remaining open to the issues of others. In his mind, Diego does this because he doesn't want to despoil his typical demeanor in the eyes of everyone else- to see him being down or serious would bring down the mood when they want to have fun. Diego's usually high energy levels make him appear to be a bit flamboyant. This may be the case, but it's simply his natural demeanor, and not something he puts on. Overall, he prioritizes others over himself and is one who enjoys a good time.
History Synopsis
Diego grew up on a small farm, raised by his mother and grandfather. When he first went to school, the change from his small family group and a few animals to a whole class was stimulating. He quickly flourished in this new environment, with his family as strong supporters. His grandfather, however, was an old fashioned man. The kind of person who kept his problems inside, and kept his family supported no matter what. This attitude seemed to rub off on the young Diego, and he, whether he knew it or not, took that mentality into how he build friendships. Lacking the presence of his father never seemed to bother Diego much, although it tended to come up quite a lot. As he entered middle school, he joined the school's soccer team. While his mother hoped it would help him learn that it's okay to rely on others, this wasn't the case. Nonetheless, he was well liked by his teammates.
Misc
Violently allergic to 'shellfish'. Takes to water like a duck. His favorite animal is the lowland gorilla. Giraffes freak him out.

Personality
The Digimon soon to be known as Aztec is an adventurous creature. However, it is haunted by a past life, and secretly seeks out the one who caused its deletion. He tends to overdo things, and doesn't seem to know the limits of his own strength. Although, some may think he is doing certain things on purpose, using his apparent lack of finesse to cover it up.

Other:
Has a hard time telling humans apart. Radio static is his favorite song. Can't swim for beans. Absolutely adores chicken tika masala curry, simply by reputation.
@Altered Tundra If I remember correctly, Mega knocked them down to In-Training even when they were fighting the Dark Masters. (Hence the scene where Koromon says "I sliced you like an onion".) It seems anything above Champion shows significant backlash in Adventure.
