Slowly -- but surely -- coming back from a long hiatus.

Better known by the name of Tsu. An "advanced" roleplayer with at least five years of experience on/off. In real life, he is a college student studying in Asia, majoring in design-related fields. Outside of this site, he's also a hopeless poet and an indie writer currently working on his first book (as and when he has the time and inspirations to write something). He is also active in the Harry Potter fandom through participating in fanfic competitions/challenges and building connections with gift fics.

INTP; a Pottermore-certified Slytherin but identifies himself as a Slytherclaw who is both witty and ambitious. Considers himself a Denpa Otaku -- a fan of animanga, visual novels and JRPGs, and he's as opinionated about what he likes and dislikes as every other fan out there.

I'm going to start work on the Hostage situation post today. Who is everyone that wants to be involved?

I was wondering if you asked this rhetorically out of some pity to spare a few of us from adding to your murder list, or it's just a dummy gay post since we're all gonna die in the end anyway.

Jokes aside, I'm assuming all the DOVE/RAVEN homies are involved in the hostage thingy.

(I'll do your writing exercise when I can get on laptop. Not gonna type the whole damn thing on mobile.)
@FernStone Well, I guess we better finish up our collab asap, or we can have poor Conor and Haru joining Rori's unfortunate melancholy. XD

Unless @Mr Allen J is trying to pull off a massively retarded hostage scene to give him an excuse to kill off all our characters because we're too gay for him. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Some two-cents:

As Fern has stated about negating powers of bestial types, how would the negation work? Just enough not to allow Rori to transform completely into a bird, or it's actually possible to reverse her back to human physiology?

Can powerful metas resist the negation? Like instead of completely switch off their powers, just enough to weaken them/prevent them from using their best moves? Will the others be able to resist the negation through, say, willpower? If we go with @BlessedWrath's analogy of radio signals, there are still some ways to overcome jamming - it's not a foolproof thing.
I swear, @tsukune, every time I see Noaki's full name, I think of Death Note.

Which is a bad thing since I fucking hate Death Note.

Death Note Yagami is gay.

On a serious note, I find the manga oh-kay - it was interesting, but not something I'd reread it over and over again. Well, at least better than all those annoying harem bullshits out there.

Naoki Lee Yagami.

Naoki sat cross-legged on his bed, the contents in the brown envelope spilled out next to him. Yang Jun - owner of Haitang Pharmaceutics, the leading medical research company in Asia-Pacific. One of the top ten richest men in the region, with his total assets already over billions of billions - and still counting. Married; his wife a famed actress in China, and a daughter who had inherited all of her mother's good looks (they even shared an equally horrible personality, according to some rumors).

Not to mention, this guy had blood ties with one of the high-ranking personnel within the Chinese government.

No matter how seemingly successful this man might seem, like any other humans he still feared failure. No, he probably couldn't allow any flaws to preserve the perfection in his luxurious life.

Because of that very fear, this man would do anything to continue keeping up his expensive lifestyle, even if he had to resort to dirty tricks. Whether they were blackmail or assassination, he was willing to do anything he could to get and keep whatever he wanted.

Even if he had to devote himself to Polaris.

To Yang Jun, money ruled everything in the world. To hell with moral rights - money was the new power in the current era, and no one could possibly live without any money, which was what he had always believed in. The only reason why his black company could be kept off the government's corruption radar was all because of his kin within the People's Liberation Army.

However, as the Chinese saying would say: "paper could never keep the fire wrapped up forever". That was the reason why this request came - the man himself could feel it. That someone was already hot on his tails.

He finally decided to plea for help from Polaris, to use Naoki's ability to give him a hint on how he could escape the bad omen that was haunting him.

Naoki could only let out a frustrated sigh at the thought of using his foresight to save such a scumbag from the looming karma he so deserved. No matter how much he hated to do this, he knew that right now he had no power to defy the cult - not with his parents' fate in their hands.

He kicked the documents off his bed and lay down on his back, staring up at the ceiling. He then closed his eyes, pushing the dark thoughts to the back of his mind as his consciousness began to fade out, sinking into the fluid world of dreams.

Yang Jun had been briefed about the "fortune-telling in a dream" thing before this session, but he still felt weirded out. At least with Shui Xian there was her beautiful body to feast on, but dream? Something intangible, something that had no logic or form...

Even the scene before him felt too surreal for him to comprehend. He could remember that he had fallen asleep in a designated hotel room prepared by this mysterious organization that called themselves 'Polaris', and now he was trapped in this dream... but what's this feeling? Everything around him felt as if they were real: it was no different from a scene in a cafe, except that there it was empty sans the one table in the middle, flanked by two armchairs - where opposite of Yang Jun was a masked man cladded in a black longcoat.

This was pushing his understanding of Metahumans to a whole new level. People like Shui Xian, he could still figure out how her freaky powers worked (weather manipulation - that could easily put the entire Chinese agricultural economy at her mercy). But in here, nothing was real. He could bet the person sitting across him was another illusion trick - he could be those stereotypical gypsy granny, or even some otherworldly being of questionable origin, who would know that?

Even if he was the one who went to them for help, and he knew this had made him in debt to them, he still didn't like how he had absolutely no control over his current situation.

"Let me get this straight," Yang Jun decided to be the first one to break the awkward silence. "I'll only be told of my immediate future? Nothing further than that?"

"To be precise, only a hint. Nothing more," the masked man replied with a deep, digitally altered voice. He clasped his gloved hands together, placing them on the table. "That is what you have agreed on prior to this meeting."

Still, Yang Jun just had to try his luck. "I'm really hoping that---"

The masked man raised a hand to silence him. "My job here is to fulfill your request within the terms that have already been established beforehand. Now, shall we begin the session? Whenever you are ready."

"...No room to bargain? At all?"

"Even the underworld has their own rules, Mr. Yang," Yang Jun could feel a chill running down his spine as the masked man spoke. "And they are the kind of rules you definitely don't want to mess around with."

"...V-Very well then. Let's do this."

The "fortune-telling" session was already over hours ago, but the agonizing headache simply refuse to subdue - instead, the pain was spreading down his neck, his arms, his back... torturing his senses mercilessly. Naoki remained curled up on his bed and clutched his head, his breathing harsh and erratic as he tried to fight down the pain.

The vision he saw in that man... the very thought of it made him feel nauseous all over again.

A black dragon tattoo just like his own. The sound of gunshot. And a cryptic line: "...It's too much for your own good."

Yang Jun was destined to die in five days.

  • Somewhere else far from Baybridge, trapped in the depths of a mysterious cult who calls themselves 'Polaris', a young boy is given a task: to "tell the fortune" of a rich businessman. However, this seemingly simple task is more than meets the eye... And now, the forbidden doors have been opened - into a surreal world beyond the realm of the West.

For now this plot is Naoki-exclusive, but the cult may have some ties with the Founding Family (and possibly even the Philosophers later on, who knows).

Oh yeah, feel free the change the numbering, though it won't affect your gay plots at all - this is a standalone from the Black Hound dramas... for now.
I still think he's gay.

This RP is gay, that's why.

Well, the RP needs moar gays.
Yay, my post is finally up!

It's earlier than what I've planned, but I guess with my still super-busy schedule I should roll out my own plot stuff bit by bit whenever I have the time and opportunity.

(Also, now that Naoki is formally introduced, I can reveal his sheet lol.)

Shizuka Takashiro, & Daphne "Holly" Hope.

DOVE/RAVEN Joint Headquarters, White Coast_

It had been months since Shizuka dropped by his own office - in fact, with how he was always abroad and could barely stay in Baybridge for more than a week before he had to leave again, this room was a mere display of his status within RAVEN, for formality sake. Although his rank wasn't as high as the likes of Cindy and Meifeng - his presence within the organization itself was barely noticeable save for a handful of colleagues whom he had worked with on/off, on occasions - he still did whatever he should to get his job done. If Cindy and Meifeng were the light illuminating the world with justice, then he would be the shadow, watching the backs of his comrades and supporting them from the dark.

Just like his callsign, 'Phantom'.

Other than the paperwork that had accumulated on the table during his long absence, everything else in the room didn't move an inch from their original position since the last time he popped by in early summer. At the very least, a place he could consider as his personal space while he was here.

He glanced to the door at the sound of a quick, firm knock, followed by a familiar drawl. "Shizuka?"

"Come in," was the silver-head's lazy respond.

The willowy frame of Daphne Hope - better known by her callsign 'Holly' - breezed into the room, and the door closing itself behind her with a soft click. "I was told to take a break off work today - there's a DOVE exhibit going on at Havenfield." Then she eyed the case on the table behind Shizuka. "But it seems like that will have to wait. What do you have for me this time?"

"Actually, it's a family thing," Shizuka said, gesturing to Holly to sit down. "This is to be kept just between you and me... even if I'm taking advantage of RAVEN's resources for something personal." He then pushed the case towards his senior.

Holly opened the case lid, her green eyes widened at the contents inside. "This..." Sitting inside the case was a neatly folded black silk robe, decorated with an artistic Chinese dragon embroidery in gold. She looked up at Shizuka, frowning at him. "Did you tell---"

"No," Shizuka cut Holly off curtly. "I can't bring myself to tell Haru. I cannot get him involved in this." He had sworn to himself to protect his brother at all costs, that he would not put him in the same danger as the Verthaven disaster.

One: it was the same dragon symbol that was tattooed on one of the victims that Shizuka had rescued from the first Overload incident at Havenfield months ago.

Two: next to the robe was a diary book of sorts; however, the words printed on the ragged leather cover was a name. A name that Shizuka knew too well, forever binding him to the past he could never escape from.

Asami Takashiro.

It had been days since the old woman visited the boy. The calligraphy papers that littered all around him on the stone floor were left as they were, where he simply lay himself down on top of them. The metallic chain around his ankle cuffs clinked against the stone ground when he rolled over; the light from the kerosene lamp fell onto his pale face, but those dark eyes were still lifeless, haunted by despair, by hatred...

He didn't bother to get up when he felt the floor beneath his body rumbled, and the groan of the door of his prison-like bedroom being pushed open. The only thing that moved was his gaze, shifting to the sight of the old woman, who was flanked on each side by her towering, heavyset bodyguards. "Don't look at me like that - I would have loved you to continue staying like this and be a good puppet, but unfortunately it is time to do your job."

The boy pushed himself off the ground slowly, the papers under his palm crumpled as he steadied himself, shifting his body into a sitting position. His eyes narrowed slightly at the woman, but his thin lips remained tightly shut.

"Even if most of the Spirits have accepted him as Yui's successor, he's really useless - he's nowhere near his mother's level," a high-pitched female voice spoke from behind the woman. A slim lady with blue fringe in her wavy hair wearing heavy, smoky makeup, in a slinky black dress and high heels. She placed her hands on her hips, sneering at him.

"My apologies, Miss Shui Xian," the old woman bowed her head slightly. "To allow the purity of our bloodline to be tainted and bring this shame to the family---"

"Whatever." Shui Xian rolled her eyes. She snapped her fingers, and one of the huge bodyguards threw down an A4-sized brown envelope before the boy. "This client is extremely important to me - to us, and you better not screw this up. The instructions and all are inside." With that, she turned on her heels and left.

"You have heard her - loud and clear," the old woman said, and the boy could pick up the hint of threat in her hoarse voice. "Polaris is expecting great things from you... 'Meng You'."

"...Stop calling me by that retarded name," the boy finally spoke up, his tone icy. "My name is Naoki Yagami."
