Created at the behest of the United Nations, and since disbanded, Overwatch is an international task-force which was formed during the Omnic Crisis over thirty years ago. A unit consisting of what the world considered to be scientists, soldiers, adventurers, and oddities; Overwatch was intended to carry out asymmetrical warfare against the Omnics. However, in the years to follow, Overwatch was transformed into the international peacekeeping force that it is known as today.
Now recalled back into existence, and holding an abundance of new resources and funding giving it a far-reaching global influence, the members of Overwatch, both old and new, have once more been brought together in the world’s time of need. Ready to keep the peace, and to once again inspire a new era of exploration, innovation and discovery; even going so far as to expand its territory into new research to do with fields such as space exploration, medical research, climatology, and cybernetics- their ultimate goal, global stability.

Once spearheaded by Gérard Lacroix before his death; Talon is a terrorist organization under the command of Gabriel Reyes which still operates around the world, even to this day. Posing as the main threat to Overwatch; Talon operatives continue to reign and cause chaos around the world, led by and following the orders from their three main operatives: Gabriel Reyes, Amélie Lacroix, and a hacker known to the world only by the name 'Sombra'.

Information
One of the countries hit hardest by the Omnic Crisis; Russia (led by the influence and power of Katya Volskaya), during the rebuilding process, rode the wave of the mechanized labor industries revitalization, and quickly entered a period of rapid growth. However, after recent attacks from the long-dormant Siberian Omnium, Katya made the decision, helping Russia to once more return to their war footing; guarding its sparkling cities with massive, human-piloted Svyatogor mechs both developed and produced by Volskaya Industries.

Information
After the Omnic Crisis, Vishkar began the laborious process of creating new, self-sustaining cities to house India's displaced population. One such city, Utopaea, was created using radical hard-light technology that enabled its architechs to shape the city's streets, utilities, and living spaces in the blink of an eye.
Vishkar also secured a contract to redevelop large tracts of Rio de Janeiro. The citizens were told that the development would improve their lives. However, that promise never became a reality. Vishkar imposed controls on the residents in the name of building a more orderly society: enforcing curfews, cracking down on what the company perceived as lawless behavior, and exploiting the populace as a cheap labor force. Sonic technology was used to control the populace. However, that technology was stolen by one of the citizens who led a popular uprising, driving Vishkar out of the city.
Per the events in Rio, Vishkar was subjected to investigation, forcing the company into damage control. While this was going on, the company was involved in negotiations with LumériCo, with Sanjay Korpal engaging in confidential negotiations with CEO Guillermo Portero, relaying the details to the company's executives. The discussions involved importing LumériCo's patented energy systems. When Sombra leaked LumériCo documents and emails to the press, these negotiations were revealed to the public. Atlas News reported on the incident, claiming that the link between the two companies should be a cause for concern.

Located deep in the forests of Forks, Washington; the Overwatch headquarters (under the direction of Angela Zeigler) is a peaceful and well-kept secret, each of its agents doing everything they can from leaking the information of their location to others, both civilian and other.
A small though still beautiful city in Clallam County, Washington in the United States of America; it was named after the forks in the nearby Quillayute, Bogachiel, Calawah, and Sol Duc rivers. For many years, the city's economy was fueled by the local timber industry, though in more recent years it has drawn tourism related to the novel series Twilight and movies of the same name, which was set within the city of Forks. With recent declines in the timber industry, Forks has relied on the nearby Clallam Bay Corrections Center and Olympic Corrections Center as sources of jobs. A popular destination for sport fishers who fish for salmon and rainbow trout in nearby rivers, it is also supported by visitors to Olympic National Park.

Los Angeles, officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the second-most populous city within the United States (after New York City), and is the most populated city within California and the county seat of Los Angeles County. Situated within Southern California; Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic diversity, sprawling metropolis, and as a major center of the American entertainment industry. Nicknamed the "City of Angels", Los Angeles is a global city with a diverse economy in entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research. Located in the beautiful city of New Delhi, India; the Vishkar Corporation headquarters is a pristine example of modern architecture and structure. Well-known publicly throughout the world to be a company of both good and evil intent, each of its agents do everything within their power to uphold and maintain the companies perfect reputation, despite the issues spawning from both Rio and the media.
Designed by British architects, Sir Edwin Lutyens and Sir Herbert Baker. New Delhi is a cosmopolitan city due to the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural presence of the vast Indian bureaucracy and political system. The New Delhi town plan, like its architecture, was chosen with one single chief consideration: to be a symbol of British power and supremacy. All other decisions were subordinate to this, and it was this framework that dictated the choice and application of symbology and influences from both Hindu and Islamic architecture. The city's capital status has amplified the importance of national events and holidays; and national events such as Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti (Gandhi's birthday) are celebrated with great enthusiasm in New Delhi and throughout the rest of India.

Within this roleplay we will not only be accepting original characters (OC), but we will also be accepting cannon characters that have already been pre-established throughout the game of Overwatch; characters are not strictly limited to being Human (please see Winston for reference), feel free to have reign over what it is you would like your character to be like, either have them be closely aligned or related with pre-established character- or if you feel like having them be completely new and out of the blue, please feel free do just that; if you wish to speak about a possible idea, please don't hesitate to contact either me, or one of my Co-GM’s via PM or in the OOC about it beforehand, just to make sure that you have the okay to do so.
Those of whom are wishing to play cannon characters must demonstrate a strong writing ability (good grammar, punctuation, etc.), and must please message me and my Co-GM’s with a sample post and a brief story plan (relating to the roleplay) of that particular character for consideration; if the character and sample has been accepted, then you shall indeed be notified as soon as possible, so that you may begin to create your CS, and bring them into the world of Overwatch we have all worked hard to create together.
At this point in time, I am not going to be putting a limit on characters; however at a later date, this may change, but please do not worry if by that time your character list exceeds the limit, no characters will be booted or removed from the roleplay without fair warning- just please know that if, and/ or when this time does come that I add a limit, I will notify you all in the OOC. At this stage we are accepting characters from all walks of life, and from all around the world- let your imaginations come to life, and have fun when creating your characters; and don’t be afraid to entwine their stories with the stories of others... with permission from that roleplayer of course.

An extremely kind and gentle old soul to all those that she has the pleasure of meeting, Angela is an exceedingly sweet and charming young woman, showering all those who are lucky enough to form a close relationship to her with the love and care that she believes them to deserve, no matter who might seem to think otherwise. Her recently found confidence and self-belief growing significantly over the years, despite her start coming from her isolation from the rest of the world due to the loss she of her parents during the war, helping her to see the friends that she had managed to make over the years as figures that were approachable, willing to offer them both council and comfort sought whenever any of them seemed to need it; while spending her nights stepping up to the roles left unfilled within her life by mothering and caring for the other agents around her.
Usually seen to be quite warm-hearted and a very modest young woman, she does her best to carry herself with both grace and dignity through the hardship that has been thrown her way by all of those who look down upon her as being someone who is helpless and in need of rescuing; though as the years passed her by, Angela soon learnt and began to stand up for herself against those who continued to look down upon her. Unafraid to berate and challenge people in positions of power, Angela has also confided in those that she trusts completely that she oftentimes finds it quite difficult to express what it is that she truly feels within her heart, however the fast-thinking young woman is quick to speak up and defend not only her friends and family, but also those who she believes are being treated unfairly against anyone who goes against what she believes in, whether they be friend, family, or foe.

⚜ Flight- with the help of her Valkyrie/ Angelic suits, Angela is able to fly using the large wings she has due to her work; however, while she is able to fly long distances, it does indeed drain her energy forcing her to have to land and rest, the exact reason she rarely ever travels on wings alone.
⚜ Multi-lingual- raised in Switzerland, Angela very quickly took to learning new languages, and can so far speak, read and write in German, Romansh, Italian, French, and Latin, as well as some Russian, Japanese, and Chinese.
⚜ Living Medical Encyclopedia- a leading specialist in her career path of choice, Angela not only has a vast knowledge of nano-biology and medical terms, illnesses and procedures, but also an extensive and ever growing knowledge of all new medical advancements including cybernetic enhancements, prosthetics, etc.- the young woman considered a living medical encyclopedia by those who know her, even going so far as to keep multiple journals with the information that she holds within her mind.

Abilities
Angelic Descent: Propelled by her many Valkyrie/ Angelic suits, Angela is able to control the speed of her descent from great heights and vantage points, allowing her to get away with and survive such free-falls without so much as a scratch on her body; helping her greatly when it comes to evading enemy fire, or to throw off their aim by varying the speed of her fall.
Guardian Angel: Allowing her to fly swiftly to her fallen comrades (whether alive or dead), this ability gives Angela the chance to reach them in the shortest time possible, opening up the chance for her to both get to them in time, and to provide them with the medical assistance that they need in crucial moments, or to escape from a dangerous enemy as quickly as she can- this ability also allows her to follow along behind a teammate as best as she can while tethered to them via her Caduceus staff.
Regeneration: Able to heal quite quickly from most injuries and scars; Angela has the ability to self-heal herself without seeking medical attention herself- her self-regeneration helping her greatly when she finds herself on the front lines, giving her the chance to heal her team-mates and others who get caught in the cross-fire. A surprisingly happy side effect of this ability, it is shown that Angela's body has built up an immunity to chronic illnesses such as asthma, epilepsy, and even cancer, also helping to build up a good defense system against other known and more fatal diseases.
Weapons
Caduceus Staff: One of her most prized possessions, and her primary weapon of choice, Angela's Caduceus staff is capable of producing two separate beams which allow her to help those in need during battles. The first, golden in color, allowing her to create a bond/ tether that helps to restore a person's health to it's maximum; while the second, a sky-blue in color, allowing her to create a bond/ tether that helps to increase the amount of damage a person is able to deal out to an enemy.
Caduceus Blaster: Her secondary weapon of choice, Angela's Caduceus blaster is capable of firing a stream of fast-moving projectiles which are quite similar to that of D.VA's light gun; able to automatically reload while she is focusing her attention on her staff, her blaster (while fairly weak at long ranges) can become extremely deadly at close range.
Ultimate Ability
Resurrect: Mercy radiates restorative power, bringing nearby dead allies back into the fight with full health.
Radiating with restorative power, Angela when using her ultimate ability is able to bring back her fallen allies by resurrecting them from the death's grip with full health, allowing them to once more join back in on the fight, or just giving those she loves a second chance at living their lives.
Other: Believing deep down within her heart that no one will be able to look past the mistakes and choices that she has made in her past, and see her as anything more than a helpless woman, or as Gabriel once saw her; Angela has all but given up on the thought of finding love and being truly happy.
On the rare occasion when she is seen to be happy and content with what's going on within her life, Angela can be seen to float lightly just a few inches above the ground as she moves about, and is wearing her Valkyrie/ Angelic suits- particularly when she is seen to be dancing, or when she is expressing herself in a positive way.
Raised to be the perfect young Lady by her parents before their untimely death; Angela is very skilled when it comes to homely things such as mending clothes, keeping a home, and looking after those she loves. However, her real talent shines through in the kitchen, the young woman a perfect connoisseur when it comes to all things food and drink; even going so far as to spend days at a time in the kitchen baking so as to treat those she cares about, or making her own tea to be enjoyed by all.

@Solo; due to there being so many who are taking up cannon characters, I will (for now) forgo the pre-requirements and shall skip straight to the CS'. Like I said earlier, I will be popping up a CS outline (my Angela Zeigler CS) for you all to go off of.

OC's are more than welcome..! I have about four myself scattered over Overwatch, Talon and just the cities. And if you would like to take up Zarya, then you most definitely do that..!

As for the art; thank you for bringing that up. In the past (because I have the same rule for all my roleplays), I have made acceptions when it comes to this particular ask. If you show me the picture first, are invested in it, and it's for a character that is not human; then I will be more than happy to bend the rule for that character.

Overwatch, eh? Definitely a fan, and even have a character idea that I tried before on a OW RP of the past, which sadly died. So definitely consider me interested.

@Jacobite; hahaha, yeah, the way that I'm running this is that the accident that happened twenty years ago in Zürich left the original base completely out of commission. Once they were recalled back by Winston, and Angela was placed in power, they needed a new base, and hence the one in Forks was created.
As for the characters, I'm very interested to see what you have in mind for Genji; as there is nothing on him at this moment, he and Hanzo are only Agents, and there is no one interested in playing Hanzo at this particular moment, I am more than happy to give you that okay to work on a pre-betrayal Genji. I'm excited to see what you come up with.
With the other two, I'm happy for you to take more than one of the cannon characters; if you take Ana, it will be interesting as I know for a fact that she will have more than Pharah to contend with on the family side of things. If you choose to take the adorable gumdrop that is Lucio; just know he will have an out there twin sister to deal with by the name of Lorina x'D
EDIT: HAHAHA; just as I posted..! Omg..! Okay, so with Genji and Hanzo; if @Sodomite is alright with going for the pre-betrayal Shimada brothers, then I am perfectly okay with what you two come up with..!
