Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Interest! Know exactly who I am playing.
So um, anyone interested in Ange for their Master?
@Rockin Strings: Er... this RP is about an order of knights? ^^;
@Rockin Strings: You don't really need to list he knows how to use a sword. All these knights have basic sword knowledge. And... you're still listing them like RPG skills with very brief summaries. ^^;

"Being Ambidexterous" isn't exactly a skill either but that's kind of a nitpick.
Estelle Varianbec, Master of Berserker

The white-haired girl knelt, hands on her knees as she peered at the wound in the purple-haired Servant's chest.

"Hmmm..."

In the child-like magus's mind, this confirmed it. There wasn't any question of what she was seeing. The wound was sealing itself. Already she'd suspected something was up, given that it was a Caster-class Servant using a dagger at such close range. Now that she saw the injury healing itself so quickly... Certainly, a Servant's healing capabilities far exceeded that of the a human's, and such a wound likely would not have been lethal anyway. But this speed without assistance? No, no, Estelle was certain that she had figured out was going on.

"That dagger wasn't intended to wound," she declared, folding her arms. "It's more like some sort of magical catalyst, or... something else. I'm not sure. But it's not a weapon. It's a tool for magecraft."

She paused for a moment, frowning.

"Or against it? Something felt weird when Caster used that dagger. Hmph."

The tan-skinned girl huffed as she looked back down a the other Servant, then up towards Berserker. The tone around here was pretty harsh...

"Don't worry, Berserker, I'll be sure to stare at your chest plenty later," she said, simply, "That'll make up for it, right?"

And then the Servant suddenly awakened and fell to the ground, prompting the girl to scramble back with a yelp of surprise.

Saber - Arturia Pendragon

The moment the fires had cleared, Saber dashed forward. A charred, weakened door was kicked down in an instant, splintering beneath her armored boot. She could still feel the lingering heat in here, but she had to search. If there were any survivors, she had to find them. If they'd been trapped in these buildings as they burned... Her armored boots crunching as they fell upon charred wood still glowing with embers, she was relieved to see no-one had been trapped here.

The next few buildings were much the same. Horribly burned, but it appeared no one had died here.

Saber used her blade to cut through the next door, which had only burned partially before becoming trapped over the doorway, difficult to move. And within...

If there had been anyone else in here, they had escaped. The remaining body was badly burnt, making it difficult to tell who the person who it had been was. Saber's gaze lowered, and she averted her eyes. Perhaps if they'd been faster...

But there was no time to dwell on such things. She had to keep moving. If anyone else was still trapped inside...

Each subsequent search revealed that it was unlikely anyone else had become trapped. For this, the blonde-haired girl knight was thankful. Most of the civilians had been able to escape...

But for what reason had such an attack been mounted here? There were a few things that had confused the smallish swordswoman.

The buildings were in flames, and yet the skeletal warriors that Caster had used had not been attacking the civilians. Surely they would all have been killed if that was the enemy Servant's goal? What was she planning?

@Riegal@PKMNB0Y@Raineh Daze@Rin
He does too much and his skills and weapons are still under-explained and listed like tabletop skills.
I'll post tomorrow!
Saber

It was her path. The path she'd sought for years afterwards. This girl, Mira Grace, was that path. And that was why, no matter how much pain raged inside her, protesting at every step she took as she sprinted back towards her Master's mansion, she would not stop. She would never stop. This girl was her chance.

Her lone chance.

Saber's movements were hardly helping her internal injuries, blood continuing to trickle from the corner of her mouth. But she could bare it. For the sake of her duties. Her duty to her Master. Above all else, that was most important. Even if she fell apart, her muscles bleeding and ripping to pieces, that would be in her mind above all else. It had been the truth in her heart the second she had summoned. She was summoned to serve a Master, and that was what she would do.

This pain was nothing. Not even as she left a trail of blood behind her, it was nothing. Not even as she felt her internal organs wracked with pain, wind whistling by her as she made her way through the forest, to the grounds of her Master's home. It was nothing. As long as it was for this girl, it was nothing.

It was nothing at all.

Not even as she came up the steps, still gripping Mira tightly in her arms, clutching her close to her body as if to protect her from any attack. Not even as she approached the door.

Not even as---

Something blazed hot with agony in Saber's insides, and when she coughed, blood splattered onto the stone steps. She fell to her knees, holding Mira tightly against herself and shuddering. No... she wouldn't fail at anything, not even if it was simply carrying her Master through the door...!

Struggling back to her feet, shaking as she walked, the black-haired swordswoman used her body to push the doors open... And fell forward, losing consciousness as she held her Master close.

It was unlikely that Saber would die here, but even as the girl felt herself slip into the blackness of unconsciousness she cursed herself for failing to remain awake.

Ciel, the Church Overseer

It wasn't as if she couldn't hear the fighting outside. Was this what the Holy Grail War would be like? Regardless, the blue-haired girl's eyes traveled upwards...

... A raven...?

@Feyblue
@Feyblue: Forgot to mention. ^^;
Saber

Lancer had departed, in pursuit of Archer. The situation had become... intense, far more so then she had hoped. The pain was still blazing away within her body. Saber took a deep, ragged breath. Normally, she would have asserted that maintaining an offensive strategy was best, but at the moment... Her Master was at risk. More then anything else, her Master's life was important. This was something the black-haired swordswoman knew deep within her heart.

"... Master... you should use a familiar later tonight to contact the overseer," she said, managing to speak. With that, she swiftly scooped her Master into her arms, one arm under her legs and another under her back. There was pain from the core of her frame protesting at this action, but now was quite simply not the time to give in to such a feeling. Instead, she held the other girl close to her body. It was her duty to protect her Master. "... These injuries will heal..."

She would protect Mira. No matter what.

No matter what.

With a wheeze of pain, Saber bent forward. She could hear the sounds of Archer and Lancer's furious battle...

She had memorized the path back to Mira's home. And so, without a moment's pause, she broke into a sprint with a burst of speed, tucking Mira against herself as she did.

Saber had to heal. Until she did, she would comply with her Master's more defensive inclinations. For now, she just had to keep going and ignore the pain burning through her insides as she did.
