"Cal, Michael come back. We can't fight the military while on national television. The world would be after us! We have no choice right now you have to come back without her. We will get her as soon as we can!" They could hear the tears in Tia's voice. Shiver was her only family left and this was killing her.

Tia went into her room and changed her clothes. She had to look like Inertia when the media showed up. The HQ already had tv news vans parked outside it. "Everyone meet me in the lounge in ten minutes!"

Shiver flew up against the far wall an then was bounced off of the roof and side walls of the interior trailer. She was fairly positive that she had a concussion as she woke up to see that she was in the truck still and the back door opened up and Omega asked her why she didn't teleport out. Her hands were bound behind her.

"My head is throbbing. Are you the reason behind that? Do you honestly think that I didn't try to teleport out? The cuffs he has me in shut down all of my powers." Blood ran down the side of her head. It shone very clearly in her white hair. "So much for impenetrable. That must be down too."

She was having trouble staying awake. "Get these things off of me. Take them to Glitch. If they can take our powers away they will kill us and use our powers for wars and other crap." Shiver was barely awake.

Shiver passed out from her concussion as the military approached and they gave Omega the choice. He could go away on his own or he could be shot. The research department of the DOD wanted Shiver for her "help" in making the world go 'green' on energy. In other words they wanted to make her a slave so they could run off of her energy.

There were too many trucks and armed men for Omega to get them both out of there safely. "This is Tia. Everyone to the HQ immediately. We have a serious problem." The helicopters and media were above him and he was having his second debut on tv for the day. "Michael, you have to leave her and come back or they will kill you. Their orders are shoot to kill."

It was breaking Tia's heart to say this. They were going to have to outsmart the government. The best she could get from the Colonel was that they wanted to 'learn' what the supers could do and free electricity that the government could hold the supply on was too tempting to let go.

"It must go into a cave of some sort. If you want to try and get down there I can help pull you up if you get stuck. I can go first if you want to help lower me down." Willa pulled open her bag and slipped her jeans on underneath her skirt. Sliding the skirt off she tossed it into her bag. "I don't see anything else that might help us get in there. The light doesn't shine here enough to see all the way down to the bottom. "Willa took her skirt and the end of it around the long strap of her bag and gave him one end. "Hold on tight. Here I go!" Willa slid down the side of the hole. While she had the bag on one end she was trying to catch a grip on the side so she could hold on. She started to find footholds partway down. They weren't great footholds but they were enough for her small feet.

The last two feet or so she could see the spikes randomly all over the bottom. She could get her feet around them and walk but the problem was you couldn't see them right off. "Ben there are spikes down here you should be careful."

Laughing she pulled a hair tie out of her pocket and put her hair up in a decent pony tail. She looked down at his feet. When she looked back up she said, "Just checking your laces." She chuckled remembering one day a few months back.

Tia was still recovering from her choking episode and finally got her throat cleared. "I don't think Y..." and they were gone before she could say anything to stop them. She sighed. "It's like living in a house with a bunch of kids I swear!"

Shiver and Cal got there just in time for a distressed driver to hit the nearest line pole. The man was having a heart attack. Shiver grabbed the man and teleported him to the ER at the hospital and when she got back she was told that the electricity for thousands would be down for hours because of the bank robbery and the car accident.

Shiver looked up at the pole and the line was on the ground, live and flopping about. "Stay back!" She yelled to everyone. She picked up the line and climbed the tower it was supposed to be attached too. Shiver was glowing as the electricity ran through her without causing her pain. After about ten minutes she had the power back up for the neighborhood.

Shiver looked over and saw that Cal was doing something but he didn't have tome to stop and tell her. Shiver looked around and her eyes landed on Omega. Their eyes connected for a moment. She sighed and looked away. Her glow was soft right now and she had no reason to be suspicious as someone from the military approached her and asked her to come with them for a moment.

Shiver smiled and followed him while he spoke of the scientists and things they were developing. He said he wanted to show her the latest in their technology. As she rounded the back of the truck she was cuffed with handcuffs that kept her from using her powers at all. Shiver screamed and was shoved into a military truck. The doors were slammed shut and she found out quickly it was soundproof. She was yelling for Cal and Michael. The man had pulled her comlink off as he shoved her in so she couldn't reach the HQ either. Shiver was throwing herself at the walls trying to rock the truck significantly enough for someone to notice. "HELP!"

Tia saw something that one of the cameras got that was only there for a second. She hit the comlink. "Cal, Omega. That military truck just hijacked Shiver, follow it and report back to me asap!" She raced back to her office and got on the phone to the nearest base and asked to speak with the colonel.

Nikki was fighting off walkers at a decent rate. They were staggering over at a steady speed but the line never seemed to get shorter. Suddenly something hit her in the leg and distracted her and she nearly got bitten. She glanced down as she felt the head go flying. There were balls rolling all over the ground. WTF? Nikki thought, as another one caused one of the walkers to fall into her landing on her stomach. Luckily her jacket stopped his teeth from connecting with her skin. Jumping back she put her boot spike through it's head then jerked it back out. Now that the back of her boot was slick with blood she had to readjust her stance as her foot slipped a little. The walkers had not increased speed but because of Vincent Nikki was off by more than a little bit.

"James! We are going! Take what you got and go out to the car! I'll be right behind you!" Nikki Turned and ran to the door and shut it behind her. She waited for Vincent to come through the door. She grabbed the door and hit the lock button as she slammed it shut. Faster than he could blink Nikki had Vincent pinned up against the door with her sword at his neck.

"What the fuck were you doing asshole! You nearly got us all killed while you were playing dodgeball with the natives. Next time you do something like that I'll feed you to them for dinner! Useless Asshole!" Nikki stormed off to the car and got in and started the engine. As soon as Vincent was in she headed towards the next destination she had in mind.

Tia was watching tv at the hostage situation just about to tell Shiver to take her in when she saw Omega on tv. "I got this. I'm Omega, the most powerful meta of Conspiracy. You're lucky to have me, you know."

Shiver laughed so hard she lost her balance on the chair she was sitting on and it fell leaving her on her back on the floor in the kitchen. "That is so much BS I hope he has his waders on!" Shiver looked at Cal's expression and laughed harder. Tia choked on her juice and spent the next five minutes trying not to die. Shiver got up and hit her on the back and Tia coughed harder. Omega thought he was the most powerful huh? She smirked at that one. How arrogant he was. Maybe she would let him think that for now.

Willa had been able to make her way back to the clearing and showed Benji. It was considerably darker now than it was when she had landed there. "The last time I saw Paon he was heading that way." She pointed in the direction of the fireworks. She looked for landmarks that she had paid attention to. "I opened my bag here and Jason was right over there. When I looked back up he was gone. I had guessed he went to take a leak. After a few minutes I left." She looked around but her eyesight was not as good as Benji's in the dark.

"So can you get a scent of them?" She headed towards where Paon had headed. After a few minutes in she saw this hole in the ground. "Benji, look at this. It looks like someone or something fell into this hole. I bet you it was Paon."

Willa's instincts were telling her that if she had stayed with him he wouldn't have fallen in. The next thing she wondered was who would dig a hole like that and what were they trying to catch?
