Nikki watched Kyle and she could see how depressed he was becoming. It hurt her heart to see him like that. "Kyle, babe come here please." When he did she pulled him into bed with her and she held him in her arms. His head on her shoulder.

"I have a confession. When I realized I was losing the baby I was slightly relieved that it meant he wouldn't be around every corner trying to steal the baby. Does that make me a bad person?"

Kyle sighed and stayed his head, resting on Nikki.

"No. not in my opinion. But to be fair there really is not anything you could possibly do to make me think youre a bad person. Does killing james, and crippling Vincent make me a bad person?"

Nikki hugged him tighter to her and looked him in the eye. "No, James was a monster. The things he did....I wouldn't have imagined he would be so fucked up in the head. Vincent is calculating and demented and he deserves everything he got and probably more. You are my hero....and not because you killed them. You are my hero because you had to fight yourself to get where you could to save me." She kissed his nose and tears filled her eyes. "Kyle, I could survive anything but only because I love you."

Kyles eyes filled with tears. Kyle sat up and kissed Nikki, trying to hide his pain. Kyle held her hands in his own, trying to feel as one with her as possible. When he broke off the kiss he voice sightly cracked.

"I love you Nikki. I could say for certain that you make me a better person as a whole, but when I am with you I feel whole. I feel....complete."

It occured to Nikki that they had gotten married because of the baby. She realized that at this point it didn't matter anymore. They were in love and she was certain that was the better reason. She could still feel Kyle's pain emanating from him.

"I'll thank God every day for sending you to me. I think that it's supposed to happen this way. You were trained to fight but hate it so much that you only do it when absolutely necessary. And without that training I would very likely be dead now. And now you can be laid back and do what you want to do. As soon as I'm healed up I'll go back to fighting and security detail again. Is that ok?"

Kyle shook his head softly.

"No it isnt. I appreciate it but Nikki I need to be doing something. I cant sit back and pretend like I am still the same person. In fact.....Nikki while you recover, let me lead in your absence."

Kyle kissed Nikki softly.

"I know its a lot to ask but I feel like I can do so much more than I am doing right now. And with you in your condition, you should not be giving out orders or fighting walkers. And what if Vincent or someone new attacks? I have lead men into battle before, I can do it."

Nikki looked at him .He was right but she worried about him. "Kyle, I don't want this to change you so much that it eats you up inside. I ...don't want you to be an unhappy person. I don't doubt your abilities, not at all. I am worried it will keep you in a state of resentment towards me."

"Nikki that will not happen. How could you think that? I love you too much to resent you. You are quite litterally the only reason I have to keep moving. And I think I have proven that I am willing to go to hell and back for you. I want to do this because I want to help you more than anything."

Kyle told Nikki mostly the truth but he still had other reasons. In truth, he wanted to change things. Kyle felt like the things that have happened only happened because Nikki became too complacent. Kyle wanted to make sure nothing like that ever happened again.

Nikki nodded slowly. She released a long deep breath. "I have been hoping that eventually I could get out of leading full time. Truth be told I usually concentrate on security and Matt and I made the big decisions together, if I didn't make them on my own first. It will be good to let you help." She smirked a little. "It will let me get back to dancing more. Eventually we'll have our own kids and I have no idea how I could possibly lead all the time and take care of a baby at the same time. I could see it now Baby strapped to my back and me karate chopping the bad guys, 'Ninja Mom!" This thought made her laugh a little. She looked back at him and kissed him. "Seriously though, you don't have to do it. If you change your mind at some point it's okay and we can figure it out together ok?"

"Understood Parkour Fem Jesus."

Kyle laughed slightly and hugged Nikki. It felt good to laugh again.

"So be honest, have you missed parkouring at all?"

Nikki laughed softly. "Actually yes I have. I wonder if I was a stunt woman in another life?" She was feeling so much better just talking to him about things.

Her mind was already looking to the next few days and all of the bodies that they were going to have to dispose of.

"Without Jenna we might starve to death." She sighed, missing her friend. "I haven't seen Kat yet. I hope she is okay. I think Matt would lose his mind if anything were to happen to her or Gracie. She is his whole world."

"We need to find a replacement cook. Or if we cant then find some cook books. I found some awhile ago in town, in a little abandoned store. I did not grab them because at the time I thought they were unnecessary. We could make a run for them and have someone fill Jennas spot."

Kyle bit his lip.

"And you dont need to worry about Kat and Gracie. I am going to make sure what happened to you never happens to them. Matt has nothing to worry about."

Nikki looked up to hear Camyllia's words and the tears rushed out of her own eyes. She raised her hands to Camy and when the girl got close to her she hugged her. "I hope Vincent dies the most horrible death he can imagine." Nikki was still holding Kyle's hand. "Please tell me you guys got James." Nikki was trying not to cry too much she still had the pregnancy hormones and she just wanted the dying to stop.

She got up slowly and stood in front of Kyle and hugged him to her. "Thank you. Can you help me get to our room?" Nikki looked at her husband and saw that he was covered in blood but that none of it was his. She saw the bruising on his knuckles and the muscles that he had carried her with and the love in his heart and she saw something else, guilt. When they got to their room she sat down with him and said, "I know you feel guilty. I can see it in your eyes. What I can't figure out is what you feel guilty about."

Shiver

Shiver saw Eden and invited her to the pool with her. Eden looked like she could use some cheering up too. Once they got there Shiver made an ice slide that rivaled the water parks. She couldn't figure what had gone wrong. It seemed like everyone was always leaving her. Cal, Ro'kun, Michael, Donovan. She looked at Eden and said, "Do you think it's too late to be a lesbian?" She shook her head. "Nah because I'd just have to share my clothes." Eden laughed at her and reached for another drink. Shiver turned to the bartender and said "Two more!" She chuckled to herself. "Eden, I think I'm destined to be alone...and I don't like it." Eden hugged her and sighed heavily.

Shiver looked up. "Hey, where is Cupid? I have no idea where anyone is."

Enyo grinned. "Absolutely, but not here." She shimmered them to the waterfall so they wouldn't knock the HQ down. It was some time later before they emerged and it looked like a tornado had hit the place. Enyo giggled like a schoolgirl and she asked him what he thought about the planet so far? She asked him this as she was running her hands across the expanse of his broad shoulders and chest. She sighed happily awaiting his answer.

Nikki heard voices as she woke up. Her lower stomach was cramping and achy. She remembered and before she even opened her eyes she said in what she thought was a normal voice but was really a whisper, "Kyle." She opened her eyes to see her brother looking at her with a smile. "There's the Sleeping beauty. Welcome back sis." Nikki tried to sit up and Matt helped her. "Kyle?" She called again and when she turned and saw him she smiled and reached for him. Nikki hugged him. "Thank you for getting me out of there." Matt needing to tease her said "what am I chopped liver?" She grinned. "Yes, you are but thanks to the both of you I'm home with my family and that is everything." Matt squeezed her hand and went to find his own wife.

After Matt left the room Nikki took pulled Kyle to her and she hugged him tight. "Vincent is the reason I lost the baby. If he had left me here it never would have happened." Her mind flashed back to Oppal and she teared up. "Please tell me Oppal is okay. James hurt him and when he threw him he wasn't moving."

Zach

Zach felt a lot of curious eyes on him and a lot of fear and judgement. Strangely he deduced it to be directed at Ranna. "What is with the people staring at you? Some of them seem to be very...judgy." Ranna was starting to get used to the stares but since Zach got there, there was now a lot more for the people to take in. And they had questions, lots of questions. Ranna looked up at the eyes staring at her and she said, "What?" to the group as a whole. Her question was met with silence. She went back to eating and Zach grinned.

Afterwards they went over to the hill and sat down. Zach looked out at the water. "Princess you know I would love to tell you things were the same as before the battle back home but they aren't, far from it." He needed to convey the urgency without giving his best friend the truth. He felt miserable about it but it had to be done. He figured he would try something else. "So how could you let him take your virginity so quickly." Ranna turned her head towards him and the anger emanating off of her made him flinch. "For your information my virginity is still in tact. We've kissed and held each other but we haven't...done that!" She looked away from him and suddenly she was tired and she had trouble keeping the tears back.

"How could YOU even ask me that?" Zach saw her tears and he said, "Hey, I'm sorry." He looked Ranna in the eye and he leaned over to her and kissed her pushing her backwards onto the hill. Ranna was pushing him away but he was a lot stronger than she was. Ejecting him with a forcefield she scrambled quickly to her feet. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Zach felt terrible. He needed to get her back home as soon as he could and he was already over due getting her there.

Zach looked up at her, guilt all over his face. "I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry." Ranna walked away from him and she headed back to Kyle's.
