Knight of Doom Slowly Becoming an Alcoholic

Member Seen 5 days ago

Kiran exited her empty apartment. Her mom was at work, too busy to see her off, but Kiran didn't care. She was going to camp! As a sudden rush of dopamine and adrenaline ran through Kiran's spine, she couldn't help but grab her two heavy suitcases and backpack and rush down the stairs. Kiran giddily greeted everyone she saw in the apartment complex. After dealing with the anxious atmosphere that spread across the school at the end of the school year, Kiran was ready to finally DO something. After sprinting to the nearest main road, Kiran vigorously waved her arms around, unable to keep her excitement under control. Soon a bemused taxi driver stopped by the side of the road. Kiran threw her bright, tye dye luggage into the trunk and clamored into the back.

"Delphi Strawberry Service, please," she beamed. Her face was starting to hurt, but Kiran couldn't stop smiling.

"Got a hot date?" The driver laughed.

"No, I'm just going to camp," Kiran said, forcing herself to calm down. "It's a really great camp. I have tons of friends, and the activities are so much fun! Our director is the best. And I can't wait to see my relatives!" While Kiran wanted to vent, she made sure to be generic and make it sound like a normal camp. It was difficult though. How do you explain such a magical camp when you have to leave out the fun parts, like life or death battles, and mythical creatures? She continued to talk to the taxi driver until they reached her destination.

"Thanks for the ride!" Kiran said, handing the man a wad of cash.

"No problem," he chuckled. "Have fun at your camp."

"I will!" Kiran exclaimed, before closing the car door and retrieving her things. She then walked into the camp, taking in her familiar surroundings. "I'm home!" She sang to no one. Then she walked straight to her cabin, keeping her focus on the task ahead, unpacking. She placed her belongings in their respective location, trying to be neat and organized. However, she knew by the end of summer, her things would be a mess. But for now she'd at least pretend that she was a neat and organized person. While unpacking Kiran chatted with her siblings, complaining about school and parents, and talking about some monster in counters during the school year. Those who had stayed year-long also had stories to tell.

After everything was put away Kiran wandered the camp, greeting old friends and introducing herself to new faces. But, as the day wore on, something seemed off. Unbeknownst to Kiran, a civil war was brewing.

Hunter crawled out of bed with a thud to the floor. "Morning... Why must you come so often..." He was alone in the Nemesis cabin again. He was pretty sure he had one sibling that was supposed to come for the summer, but he had no idea when or if they were going to come. So for most the time he was in camp he had the cabin to himself. He hated being alone many times, though it made it so he was less likely to get into an argument about the gods again. 'No my parent is better', 'No Mine is better!' "All your parents suck!" he called out to himself and he rolled onto his back. "Well... time to get going I guess."

Hunter picked himself off the floor and walked to the dresser. "Shirt, socks, underwear, pants, and..." He stopped, he lost his camp necklace again. "Dammit..." He looked around, he checked the dresser, under the bed, under the other bed he used, he even checked his pants from the day before. "Where did I put it?! Gods!" He turned around and felt rough surface under his foot, he looked down too see his camp necklace. he picked it up, it held 5 beads on it. Despite the fact he had came to camp about Nine years ago he only had the Five, this was mainly because he was always leaving and coming back at random times.

Hunter left the Nemesis cabin with his hatchet attached to his belt loop, and his sword on his back. Figured today was a good day for training. He knew he was a decent fighter, but he had his faults, it was better safe then sorry. All around camp people were active, today was one of the days that people started to come into camp again. "Summer vacation, now we get too see more people!" He kept walking. "Lets hope that not all of them follow the gods like cultist."

He walked into the arena, most people were in the main camp area getting unpacked for the summer. So Hunter took this time too train. He set Three wooden Figures. They drew there weapons and Hunter drew his. "Alright, If anyone of ya want to give up, I understand, I am a bit of a bada--" One of the wooden figures. landed there wooden hand into his face sending him onto his back. "Gods... Oh gods that hurt." he stood up as the next automation charged him, He brought the sword down low tripping it, then sending the Hatchet into it's chest. The next one came, Hunter blocked its blade with the hatchet again, forcing it to the side, then sent the flat side of the ax into its face, then swinging it again with the blade landing in its head. And to make sure it stayed down he landed the sword into its leg then slashed again into the torso. "Two down, one to go." He faced where the last one was, but ti was gone. "...What? Did it actually run away? That's possible? That's Awesome!"

There was a thud as the third automation landed behind him, as Hunter swung the hatchet as a reaction the handle was grabbed by the wooden figure. Then sent the ax flying across the arena. "...I don't know what day it is but it sucks now." It's sword swung downward on Hunter, he blocked it at the last minute with his own sword. There sword collided several times before the blades locked, when that happened Hunter took the chance to get close. He turned around, the wooden figures chest pressed on his back. He grabbed its torso in an upside down motion and used what strength he had to send it into a flip. Though the flip brought both of them down, though Hunter had the advantage of landing on top, and having enough time to draw his knife and landing it in the chest of the wooden figure.

Hunter sat down breathing heavy on the remains of one of the wooden figure. "I... Won... I should... Celebrate.... with like... ice cream or something." This was the first time he beat all three, normally the last one would get him well he was finishing off the second one. This time it caught him off guard and it tried to ambush him. He felt good, he had his hatchet again, and he beat all three foes. He loved this camp, he hated the fact that it was a camp that supported the gods like a cult, but other then that he loved it, he loved the people, the beings, he loved feeling like there was a place for him. "Camp Half Blood, Still better then Vegas."

The Rebellious One

"Stupid gods." A teenaged boy sitting in the Poseidon's Cabin said while looking outside of the back window and into the sea. That boy's name was Troy, demigod son of the "great" Poseidon. "Always fighting each other and not caring about what it does to the planet they reign over or what it does to their bastard children." He wasn't scared about talking about the gods in such a way. It wasn't that he thought he was invincible. He definitely wasn't. He just didn't care what the gods thought about him or what they would even be willing to do to him for such blasphemous remarks. His mother loved his father and he let her die. He was sure the great Earth Shaker could find the most suitable way to kill a rebellious son if he wanted to. If they were all lucky the gods would end up killing each other in this conflict and their children could become gods to take their place. He honestly wasn't even sure if that was how it worked. Heracles became a god, but it wasn't a poof automatic thing. He knew that his older half-brother could be a good replacement for Poseidon. Troy even heard that he was once offered godhood, but turned it down. If being a god automatically turned you into a jerk he understood why he declined.

Troy sighed and moved from the window. It was time for the students to come piling in. He looked at his nightstand where a picture of his mother in a frame stood. He was glad that he was able to recover two pictures of his mom. He kept one in his nightstand and another in his pocket. That way he'd always have her with him. Each time he looked at her picture his anger for his father grew, but she seemed to calm his anger whenever he looked at her in battle. Maybe it was because his anger was projected somewhere on one point instead of all around like it tended to be when he lost control. He patted his pocket making sure that his pen was still inside. He liked that it would always be in his pocket when he wasn't using it or if it got away from him. Well, it did take some time before returning to him if he lost it in a fight. Those moments of not having it almost cost him his head a few times. His father would have to do better than that if he wanted to kill him.

He finally exited the cabin and stretched as the rays of the sun hit him. "Time to see what this Summer brings us."

Death's Kid

Dorian had said goodbye to his mother the previous night and decided to visit his father before the first official day of Camp Half-Blood's summer. He passed into the Underworld and spoke to his father who had warned him of the Civil War that was happening between the gods of Olympus. This was his first time hearing about it and was told that the war would come to the doors of camp as well. That didn't sound good, but Dorian didn't know if he could even do anything about it. He tended to cause people to want to kill each other even more with his Death Drive ability. He could try speaking with them, but he never tried his oratory skills on such a large audience. He definitely wasn't sure that he could even convince the Ares Cabin with his words considering that they loved war. His best bet was to stay out of it, right? His father warned him that campers might die when they go against each other, but could that really be true? Would they let a war between their parents force them to forget about the friendships that they made?

War made people do horrible things. Civil Wars were even worse. Brother against brother. Friend against friend. Neighbor against neighbor. The relationships between people didn't stop the blood flow or even slow it. It only made it worse. He didn't really have many friends to worry about having to fight if he did choose a side. He barely had anyone there who he would even consider his friend. Most stayed away from him despite there being a child of Hades there, but apparently being a child of Hades wasn't as frightening as a child of Death. He spent the rest of the night and early morning with his father before he decided it was time to go to camp.

He appeared in front of the camp's field and walked inside. "Here goes nothing."

Blake and Leon

Blake started to string up his bow as Leon was combing his hair. Both with a mission on mind. Impress the ladies. Yeah they knew the gods were arguing. Hell they shouldn't even be hanging out, Leon was an Aphrodite and Blake was an Apollo. But they didn't care. Their friendship meant to much to them. They had been through thick and thin and thick again. Black finished stringing up his bow and starting playing a tune. "Ya know Blake, I don't say this a lot but I look good." Blake rolled his eyes, chuckled, and continued playing. They continued walking and winking at any girl that passed. Even talking to a few. To them this was the good life. Blake slowed his playing down and said to Leon "Ya know I hope this whole Gods fighting thing doesn't effect us too greatly. This sounds pretty serious." Leon looked deep into Blake's eyes and told him "Blake my good friend, as long as we are together, what could ever possibly go wrong? The gods are gonna fight yes, but as long as we stay out of it we will be fine." Blake liked this answer, that's why he liked Leon. He always gave the right answer. Blake started playing again and so they started going around again just having fun and listening to Blake's music.

Alistair woke with the stop of the train. He looked around and saw the people getting off, kids jumping around, parents looked dead as ever, trains were horrible. He gathered his two duffle bags and satchel, he stepped off the train and made his through the station. Alistair didn't want to take taxi, too much work, and bus would take too long. He decided to go see his father and ask him for a ride.

Alistair shadow traveled to Hades and appeared in the throne room of his fathers palace. Hades was siting on his throne looking over some paper work with those stress winkles on his forehead. "Well you look horrible." He said to Hades. Hades looked up getting ready to smite who ever said that, and saw Alistair. His son was standing there with three bags some casual joggers on and a grey t-shirt. Hades put his papers down and rubbed his temples. "Well if it isn't one of my lovely children, who always has nice things to say about me whenever he visits." Hades said with sarcasm and needed sleep with every word. "What can I do for you today?" Hades said as he got up and went over to Alistair. "I'm not feeling the whole public transportation thing today, so can you beam me up instead?" Alistair asked as he bounced on his toes. He didn't visit his father often but they did right all the time. "You grew your hair out again, doesn't look bad. I guess I can help you out just don't ask too often." Hades said as he did the dad hair ruffle. He went back over to his throne and sat again. "Oh and before you go, there is a storm brewing on Olympus. So what ever decision you make I'll support you." Before Alistair could ask any question Hades waved his had and shadow swallowed him.

When the curtain of shadow broke, Alistair was the familiar sounds and smells of camp. He stood right out side of the Hades cabin, the cabin walls are made of solid obsidian and a skull is hung over the doorway. There are torches that burn green fire twenty-four hours a day. Everything around the cabin seemed to not have any color to it, lifeless. The only thing missing was the heavy thick fog and the skeletons walking around. Alistair stepped inside, and looked at the familiar surroundings. Inside the cabin the beds are coffin shaped with blood red pillows and sheets. There is also a small shrine with bones and jewels. He went over to the biggest bed and threw his stuff down. He grabbed his ink pen that was his pitchfork condensed and stepped out of the cabin.

Outside was pure madness, everyone running around trying to see old friends and find their cabin. It was like the first day of school all over again. So with a deep sigh he took his first steps into the madness. The only thing on his mind was his fathers words. "I hope the gods don't ruin this summer."

The sun was high on the fresh summer morning. The birds were out and about, playing in the warm summer air. Everything was awake. Well...almost everything. A teen girl slept soundly on top of the Cabin at the end of the row. A thunderstorm had swept through camp half blood last night, and for that reason was this girl sleeping on top of the cabin. The young blonde started to stir and then finally sat up and stretched. Her blue eyes groggy with sleepiness, and contentment. She stood up stretching out, her long arms reaching toward the sky. She looked over the roofs of the other cabins. Julia Vampertin, daughter of Zeus, stood tall and proud.

Julia slowly slid down the roof toward the rain gutters. She jumped down. caught them with her hands and swung down to the ground. She landed with a soft thud and headed inside her cabin. She threw on a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt, and some converse and headed out to grab some breakfast. Julia smelled the air as she walked and let out a contented sigh. The world was always so peaceful after a storm. That's when loud crashes and bangs interrupted her thought.

Julia's head spun to look at the source. Someone was down at the arena. Her eyebrows raised and she switched her course. She climbed over the fence to watch what was going on. A man probably around her age was fighting three of the dummies. She hopped on the fence and looked at him. He was doing quite well. He was battling the second automan and was about to finish him. That's when she saw it. The third one was going to attack him. It was quite brilliant. Julia watched fascinated by the workings of the battle.

The man swung around and his arm was caught by the automan. Julia recognized the camper. They had met a few times but never truly connected. It was Hunter, Son of Nemesis. He craftily managed to defeat the third one and Julia raised her eye impressed. She watched from the sidelines and nodded. She turned around and her the other activities going on around camp. Most people were unpacking, but with Julia being a year round camper, she really didn't have to worry about that. Julia was nervous about this year, while most of her years had been uneventful this one was sure to be different.

Caden had already been at Camp Half Blood by the time the summer folks started to arrive. Ever since his mother had dropped him off, he'd not had the desire to return to the dull life that had rejected him so completely. At least here he could train whenever he wanted. Thus, as the sun rose on the first day of arrivals, Caden got himself ready and grabbed his trusty baseball bat before exiting the "infamous" Ares cabin. The building wasn't the prettiest looking, covered in barb wire and painted a bloody red, but it fit their personalities well... Maybe a little too well. Caden began to dread the incoming of new campers, hoping that he wouldn't have too many new step-siblings to whip into shape. He already had his own hands full with the current campers, especially the ones younger than him.

Walking about he noticed another camper already training, a kid of Nemesis whose name he never bothered to remember. Leaning up against a post to watch, Caden folded his arms across his chest with his bat hanging from left hand. Off to a rough start, the Nemesis kid had to quickly recover and take the dummy out, readying himself for the second. Taking that one out rather quickly, the third one obviously took him by surprise as it usually did everyone. Despite having his favored weapon knocked away, Caden watched as the kid redeemed himself by flipping the dummy and stabbing it. It wasn't the best fight he'd ever seen but it was entertaining enough for the son of Ares. Deciding on how he wanted to chase off his boredome, Caden approached the kid with a challenging grin. "Not too shabby, what's your name kid?" He asked, despite the guy's age being the same as his own. It was a bad habit of his, referring to those he deemed beneath him as kid, but Caden saw it as a challenge to others to try and change his mind. Shifting the weight of his weapon, Caden propped the aluminum baseball bat on his shoulder, waiting impatiently for an answer so he could challenge the guy.

"Like I said, not too shabby but you could use a little practice. How about you duel me? Shouldn't be too hard for someone able to defeat all three of those dummies, right?" He prodded, continuing to maintain his grin. It wasn't untrue, anyone who could fight off all three of the automated dummies had a chance to defeat him in a duel... But from what he saw, he didn't think it likely. Still, even a one sided duel might help with the boredom he felt.

Jade kissed her father goodbye outside of the barrier, something set up to keep both mortals and terrible beasts away from the protective camp known as Camp Half Blood. Beaded neclace alread in place around her neck, Jade turned on her heel and entered the camp grounds without looking back. Hiking up the trail was nothing for her, a short trip as it seemed, as she made her way through the camp to her place at Artemis' Cabin. Seeming to be the first to arrive, Jade wondered to herself how many would actually be staying at CHB this summer. The numbers changed from year to year, especially considering how little actually stayed at the camp year round. Claiming her cot, Jade set her stuff up before changing her clothes. Bright CHB t-shirt and comfortable shorts, the huntress pulled her hair up into a pony tail before stepping outside of the cabin. Stretching out for a few minutes, Jadaria decided to take advantage of the quiet morning and go for a jog through the forest surrounding the camp.

As she ran she frowned, trying to shake a sinking feeling she got in her gut. Unsure of what it was, Jade's pace steadily increased until she was all but sprinting around the camp. The feeling was making her uncomfortable despite being in the place she felt the most at ease. Something was off, she couldn't have been the only one to feel it... And it more than likely had something to do with the gods they called parents. It wasn't unusual for them to fight, but she had never felt an unrest like this before. Silently she made a note to herself to ask around about it, eyes flicking up to the patches of sky she could see through the trees every so often. The sky seemed calm enough, but you never knew when that would change... Wouldn't be the first time in CHB history that things went horribly wrong.

Slowing to a controlled stop, Jadaria's chest heaved for the air it couldn't find, the burning an encouragement for the young woman. And despite the strenuous running, not a single muscle was sore, nothing new for the physically fit and skilled daughter of Artemis.

Hunter felt good, he finally beat all three of the wooden figures. He then heard a more or less familiar voice. "Not too shabby, what's your name kid?" Hunter turned around to face the other person. "Kid?" Hunter replied. "I ain't a kid." He shook the persons hand. "Hunter, Hunter Monroe." The man was tall, really tall compared to Hunter. This was not a feeling Hunter really liked. He was normally use to being one of the taller people, or average height.

Then well they were shaking he offered a duel. "A duel?" Hunter always loved a good fight, though he had a similar feeling to that when he was being heckled playing cards with the Hermes kids.

Hunter smiled. "I think I remember you now, You're one of the Ares kids aren't ya?" Name, name, name, name, What was his name?! "A... Wait... Caden?" Ya that was it. "I bet you think I am one of those demigods that after a winning fight will go against anyone because their ego is so pumped. I bet you think that I would just accept your challenge with out even thinking of the consequences or of the fact that you are more then likely to win then me?" Hunter laughed. "Well my friend..." He stepped back and drew his sword. "You are correct."

Astrid Ashbourne

Astrid was walking down the beach in California. The weather was warm, with a nice breeze keeping her from getting too hot. She had left her shoes someone back along the beach. The sand between her toes felt unbelievably good. Standing there she clenched her foot feeling the warm of the sand covering her feet and the smell of the ocean on her face. She closed her eyes soaking up the environment.

When Astrid opened her eyes she was in a different country. Paris France. The smell of freshly baked bread filled the air. She was standing by a fountain, listening to the french chatter. Looking around she saw a small bench and sat watching a couple walk by her. The couple glanced at her curiously. A girl with no shoes, covered in sand and warm weather attire was certainly a strange sight. When they had moved on, Astrid prepared to teleport again. She pictured herself tilting the earth under her.

A sharp noise followed by her sudden appearance was the only noise that would have given her power away. Australia this time. She was near Sydney, on a small private beach. Turning in the sandy grass she looked at her home. She had built this modern house over the last two years. Private contractors had been a bitch to get to come this far out, but in the end it was worth it. And besides they didn't complain much when she told them how much she was willing to pay. Being a blackmarket transporter certainly had its benefits.

Opening the glass door she walked in and moved to the kitchen. This place was by far her favorite place to be in the entire world. And she had visited her fair portion of it. Hephaestus kids had helped her out once the main building had been put together. Their magical machinery filled the walls of the house, so much that it was practically living. All she had to do was promise them some rare metal found in meteors and they were more than happy to help her automate her house. She opening the fridge and grabbed leftovers of a meal made by a five star cook in Britain, while saying, "Live set time to midday." Live was the main AI built into the house and she controlled nearly everything. Listening to Astrid's commands the lights adjusted themselves to represent the middle of the day. It was night in Australia, but she was still used to American time.

Finishing the leftovers she tossed the tinfoil wrapper on the counter and changed into her camp gear. Skinny jeans and a black t-shirt with Camp Half-Blood written in orange across the front. As soon as she put on the Nike shoes she teleported out of the house. Astrid had forgotten about the lights, but of course Live would handle that. A crack resounded through the air. The walls were replaced by trees, wooden floor with dirt and grass. Back to her original home, the place she was raised. A couple campers nearby took a double take as she teleported in. Probably newbies, most of the older campers knew her from all the time she had spent there. Reaching to her neck she pulled out the necklace covered in beads. Seventeen in total. She was definitely the only person that had this many beads, but that was what happened when you were raised surrounded by half-bloods.

Blake and Leon

@Wintergrey
Blake and Leon were at the entrance, assigned to great any returning campers and to welcome new comers. Leon had a clip board for the people that were expected while Blake was playing his music and doing the greeting. Leon counted the campers off then they both heard a bunch of people gasp and they both started to hear whispers of teleporting. Leon looked at Blake and they both smiled and knew who was coming. Since they came to Camp Half-Blood for a many years they had known Astrid. They would say Hi to her or sit next to her and all that but ya know not really converse. But they knew her. Leon saw her walking up and said with a welcoming smile "Ya know for such a tiny person you always have such a big entrance. How ya doing Astrid?"

Caden laughed at Hunter's response, finding the attitude refreshing. Not many people were too keen on talking back to anyone associated with Ares' Cabin. Unlike his step-siblings, Caden didn't mind a bit of fire in his opponents, someone who could challenge him rather than someone he could beat on. "Yeah that's right." He retorted with a grin, pleased to hear that others knew his name. As it appeared, Hunter wasn't the only one with a pumped up ego. Stepping backward to increase the distance between him and Hunter, Caden allowed his arm to fall laxly to his side, fingers wrapped comfortably around the hilt of the baseball bat. His opponent had decided on drawing a sword, which meant Caden needed a weapon, but he didn't bother changing its form. He thought it would be more fun to win whilst pitting a sword against a godly bat.

Rolling his neck and shoulders, Caden's excitement rose as he prepared himself for his first duel of the summer. "Glad to hear it Hunter. We fight until incapacitation or surrender, sound good?" He asked, switching the bat from his left hand to his right, still leaving his body wide open for a strike. "Anything you'd like to add before we begin?" To some Caden's tactics were odd, especially to the others of his cabin who preferred to dominate a match in everyway possible. But he didn't find a sure match interesting at all, it disgusted him to watch others bully their way to "victory" having known from the start that they would win. Personally, allowing his opponents to add rules of their own to his duels made it more interesting. He never knew what he was going to be faced with, challenges that could very well change the direction a duel would go. Just thinking about it sent shivers up his spine, the bat seeming to thrum in his hand.

"Anything you'd like to add before we begin?" Caden asked him. Hunter was open for a good fight, though he did have a slight issue. "One rule, try to avoid hittin' my head too hard." He pointed to the side of his head with his sword. "Hunting accident left some damage that even the Nectar is having trouble healing." Could be called an accident, if it wasn't for the fact he tried to fight a giant with a .22 rifle. Not an ideal weapon for that situation.

He knew that his opponent was going to be hard to beat, and he knew there was a good chance of losing, though he figured he'd make a good impression that he can hold his ground against the six foot plus demigod from the Ares cabin. "One more thing, no nut shots, I know it's more or less an unspoken rule, but I want it a bit spoken." He readied his sword. "Ya ready man?"

"No cheap shots... I can agree to that." The guy was smart. If he had been up against any other opponent, such a rule would indeed have been an unspoken one. However it was no secret he and his cabin weren't against taking cheap shots in order to win. As many rules as Caden gave himself, he was no exception to this mindset. Rules in place and both sides in their starting positions, Caden raised his bat aggressively. "May the best warrior win. He said, charging forward with a swing of his bat.

To be honest he didn't expect the blow to land, that wasn't the point of his maneuver. Any onlookers would see just another blood thirsty Ares kid, but that wasn't entirely the case. Caden wasn't an idiot, he knew his own limitations, he just needed to figure out his opponents. Every strike was a test, to find Hunter's strengths and weaknesses. Once Caden was sure of what this guy was capable of, he'd take him out quickly. Not just brawn, but some brains too. That was the paradox of the Ares Cabin.

Dante Guerrez

Dante woke up when the cabin door opened, and sleepily blinked one eye open to see Alistair walk in and throw his stuff on the biggest bed. She rolled her eyes. Of course he'd picked that one. Her bed was unobtrusively in the corner, the generous,y sized obsidian wardrobe beside it. She thought her half brother was a lazy git, if she was being honest, but he seemed to have a good relationship with their father, so figured there had to be something about him that she hadn't yet seen. She merely rolled over while he grabbed something else and then left again. Hmmm. If he was back, that meant today was return day for the summer campers. Groaning, she rolled out of bed and fell to the floor. Dante was never at her best in the mornings.

She walked out of the Hades cabin a few minutes later, having taken a quick shower and feeling alert. Her Stygian iron sword was strapped across her back in a sheath as she always wore it, knives strapped at her sides. She'd learned the virtues of always being prepared. Maybe the sword was a bit overkill, but she loved the sword and the feeling it gave. It was always useful for channeling her summoning powers if she needed to, too. She greeted some of the older campers with grins, waving to them as she strode around. She didn't exactly have much of an aim, but was just curious to see the new arrivals. Dante wasn't exactly an old camper herself, having come pretty late at the age of fourteen, especially for a kid of the Big Three. She nodded at Dorian, spotting him walking into the camp. The guy wasn't bad, but he'd never seemed that eager for friends and Dante kept her distance.
@TheHunter
She came across Julia and waved, giving her a wide grin. Julia, like her, stayed at the camp year round. "Heya, Jules," she said easily, falling into stride behind her. "Seen any new kids around?"

The camp was started to grow with noise, and it was a welcomed chaos. Julia emerged from the mess hall, an apple in hand and chocolate milk in the other. Julia stood on the porch for a while, watching the workings of the camp. People were running to and fro trying to get their weapons sharpened, or fixed. Others were just arriving, hurrying to reconnect with their half sisters or summer boyfriends or girlfriends. Everyone had somewhere to be. Well everyone except her. She was just dinking around this morning. She had slept most of the morning, which was well spent, she had been up late enjoying the storm.

She dropped down the steps and headed back to her cabin. That's when she was intercepted by Dante. Dante was nice and quite enjoyable to be around. She was also a Daughter of Hades and understood what it was to be a child of the Big three. But nowadays everyone was a child of The Big Three. Yeah, there were minor gods and goddess that still had children, but ever since they had thrown out The big Three can't have children rule, they seemed to be multiplying like bunnies. Not that she was mad. She probably wouldn't have been born with it still intact.

She smiled as Dante came up to her. "Hey Dante! I've seen a couple old campers, but to my knowledge no new campers. It's weird, you think there would be more fresh blood," Julia said with a laugh. The cap usually received around 5-10 new kids a year. She hadn't seen any yet, but it was still early in the year. There was a lot left of this summer to be seen. This summer was sure to be an interesting one.

Shoes hit the ground in rapid succession, a dull thump with each footfall. Adrian was completing his daily run, this time deciding to complete it in his full armor. He could feel the sweat dripping off of his chin, dropping onto his chest plate. He felt the comforting weight of his sword on his hip, swinging back and forth securely as he ran around the perimeter of the camp. He was almost completely finished with the run, and that he was thankful for. It was hard work to run carrying the extra weight of his armor. But it was good practice, and helped make a person faster.

He cut inward towards the center of camp, avoiding the groups of people as he approached the cabins. He then slowed to a walk, fighting the sweat that tried to slip into his eyes. He walked up to his bed, the furthest back on the left. His stuff was already set up, being one of the all year campers. He didn't fit in with those outside this camp anymore, so he stayed. He stripped off his armor, stretching and popping his back. He then went and took a quick shower, not fond of smelling like body odor. After he finished, he returned to his bed, dressed in his typical outfit. He grabbed his necklace, putting it on then tucking it underneath his shirt. He then grabbed his sword, cleaning it and sharpening it quickly before attaching it back into his belt. While it could change itself into a plain gold blanket, he preferred it in this form while around camp. He then cleaned off his armor, setting it up in a place it could be easily grabbed. He had a belief in being prepared.

Exiting his cabin, he looked around, eyeing the variety of people making their ways to the various tents. He walked, his eyes narrowed slightly, his left hand resting on the pommel of his sword. He seemed to discourage conversation by his body language, but without fail someone always ended up approaching him.

The harsh, morning sunlight streaming through the curtains woke her first while the alarm simply served to drag her from her half-slumber and force her to focus. Shifting into a sitting position, her back arched with her stretching as her yawn slowly shifted to a groan. Letting her blue eyes slip open, she peeked around the room - it was her friend's apartment which she had been crashing in for the last few weeks. Blood-red swathes of hair suddenly covered her vision before she idly brushed it away, sighing - she hadn't been looking forward to this day.

Once she had showered and packed, she briefly explained she would be leaving town to visit family friends before ushering herself out the door and into a taxi. The driver seemed a bit confused when she told him her destination and more than hesitant but once she passed a wad of cash to him, he somehow found his footing.

Camp Half Blood offered answers to the questions she had been asking all her life, or so she'd been told. The others that had found her told her that she could finally find out who her mother was. After that, they blabbered on about her being able to finally have a family. Acacia didn't want a family nor did she need one - she wanted answers and she wanted a bitch to pin all her problems on. She very rarely agreed with her dad but if her mother was there, things would have been different.

The driver didn't understand when she told him to stop in the middle of nowhere but she was only following the instructions of those who had sent her there. He already had his money so once she was out, he zipped away and left her with one route to take - up the hill. It wasn't an overly difficult hike but eventually, she came to a clearing boasting of a single tree with what appeared to be a golden fleece clasped around its branches. Beyond that, reality itself seemed to warp. She could just see the forest continuing but she had a heavy feeling that wasn't the case.

Passing the large tree, her hand slipped along the fleece as she crossed the boundary between two very separate worlds. Instead of long, unbroken wilderness, she was met with the sight of a sprawling camp that had literally not been there before hand. Her breath momentarily caught in her throat before she huffed, dragging a pair of earphones into her ears and flicking on her music.

Acacia guessed that the massive house at the start of camp was where she was meant to go but her resolve faltered then collapsed completely as the gentle aroma of the Dining Pavilion's breakfast graced her senses. With a frown, she also took note of the characteristic, angry grumble of her stomach.

Eventually, she made it down the hill but had an awkward feeling about the whole thing. People were very definitely eating but uncertainty dragged her feet back, stopping her from pressing forward. She was standing out. Her hair looked almost like fresh blood in the morning light and her scar certainly earned her a few cautious glances. Plus there was the whole fact that she didn't look like she wanted anyone to approach her; what with her earphones and all that. Grumbling at her own indecisiveness, she balled her small hands into smaller fists. The sound of combat drew her closer as she diverted from the main path and headed towards what appeared to be an arena.

Two guys were already engaged in some sort of fight but strangely, while one was using a weird mix of sword and hatchet, the other was trying to oppose him with a baseball bat. Narrowing her eyes, Acacia fixed the two with a confused glare before hastily dragging herself away, disliking how the clash of metal seemed to draw her even closer - she was already beginning to dislike this place's pull on her.

Eventually she ended up in what appeared to be a circle of cabins. Each had its own distinctive design with some looking like they had experienced a particularly nasty hurricane and others looking like they hired an artist to design the exterior. Acacia was still confused but was adamant that she was not going to go to that house she saw at the start - she didn't need their help. She was well and truly lost and it must have reflected onto her features as she looked around hastily, checking for danger.

Astrid Ashbourne

"Psssh... an entrance? You haven't seen anything. There was this one time that I was in Germany, you know when they won the world cup, and man they know how to make an entrance. Though it wasn't really an entrance. More just a party." Astrid frowned to herself. "It was a pretty fun party though."

She stopped talking for a minute just enough to actually notice Leon. Tall. Everyone was tall these days. People should start being shorter again. Asians knew how it was with the short variety. She liked Asia. Next she noticed his attire. It wasn't hard as her head was cocked back so much to try and look him in the face. "Little fancy Leon? We're at camp after all." Before the kid could answer she teleported away. In a second she was back holding a pink shirt. On the back was a kitten that was holding it's paw out and saying "Meeeeow." "Look. It's a great looking shirt. Matches you perfectly."

Blake and Leon

Blake and Leon stared at the shirt. Then at each other. Blake snickered to himself, he imagined what Leon would look like with a bright pink shirt on a kitten on his back. Leon however held the shirt and thought it was, embarrassing and too tourist. He wouldn't be caught dead in it. Alas since it was a gift from a friend he kept it and would put it in a safe place, away from all the clothes he loved, but ya know he would have a place for it. Leon spoke up "It's a very, interesting, shirt. Thank you." Blake chimed in "When you put in on Leon I'm sure you'll make the meow-st of that day!" Blake laughed some more. He knew Leon loved fashion and repulsed anything non-fashion. "Well Astrid, It's always good to see you and that you are doing good." Leon checked off Astrid on the list. Blake, trying to stop laughing at Leon, said "Astrid it's always a pleasure to see you. We'll catch up more ok? Blake picked up his violin and started to play still giggling quietly.
