Appearance: Hanzõ is skinny, unnaturally skinny for a man of his size and weight, he looks sickly, his pale skin along with dark rings around his eyes enforce that image even more. His deep blue eyes stare through is glasses and seem to pierce deep into the very soul of the one he meets with them and his lips seem to be permanently stuck into a small, fulfilled smile wherever he goes. He has short, brown hair that's always kept on ponytail and neatly out of the way.

His normal clothing outside the dojo usually include pair of black pants and long leather jacket he usually keeps wide open, unless he's having one of his red tanktops on he goes without a shirt at all, making it easy to count his ribs, yet oddly enough he still has very well formed abs, even further giving an image of a sickly person out of him. Shoewise he doesn't usually have any on him, and seems to be oblivious to pain that targets his feet in any way.

While in school he wears dark gray Karate Gi with a chain around his waist instead of traditional belt.

Personality: He seems to be very open and generally friendly with everyone, he has his own ideologies that may seem weird to others, but when brushed aside what is left is friendly, dark humoured and even sadistic individual. Even if he acts and speaks quite openly, his traits make it..difficult to read him and to even understand him.

Biography: Hanzõ comes from a family filled with politicians and pacifists. A family he dislikes even to the point of hate. He was the one always getting in troubles until he reached his 17th birthday, then he just suddenly calmed down and isolated himself for a year from everyone, he did not see his family nor friends during that time at all, he just spent his time in his room, studying, learning and examining. When he came out, he set for his new school, looking just the way he does now. Upon his departure, his father threatened to disown him if he'd join Martial Arts school. Hanzõ laughed with all his heart and stared him dead in the eyes.”I already did that to you.” He replied and left everything behind.

Martial Art Style (Name and descriptions for each.)
1.) Kushin Bajiquan No Ken. Translates roughly into Fist of Pain Bajiquan. The style focuses solely to one, simple, single thing. Inflicting as much pain as possible to the opponent. Dislocating, breaking, twisting limbs and then finishing up with brutal elbow strikes to calculated locations. Only to hurt them until they cannot continue the fight anymore.

Magic Style (Name and descriptions for each.)
1.) Darkness Adaption. His senses and speed increase when he's in the dark. Or, thinks that he's in the dark. Even in the darkest of darknesses it is as if he could see perfectly. Being in dark doubles his speed and allows him to hear as much as leaves falling down, or hearts beating.

Personality:
As headmaster of the Shaolin Academy and is within the bloodline of legendary Hikari master, Junichi, Sin’chi is a humble individual. It takes a lot to get him angry, unless he is up against a challenging opponent. Usually he is quite calm and can tolerate most of the students’ bad behaviors. He is also quiet; a lot of the times keeps to himself in his office for unknown reasons and only really emerges if he has something important to say.

Biography:
The bloodline of legendary Hikari master, Junichi Saburo runs through his veins. Though he has never seen him in person he has heard a lot of stories about his ancestor. He attended the academy at the age of fourteen and graduated at eighteen. Before that, he was working at a local bakery while practicing martial arts on the side. People would describe him as quiet, but intimidating. He always had a look on his face that looked important; as if he was constantly bothered by something but never tried to express how he was feeling. After the bakery, his father pushed him to attend the Shaolin Academy full time. After he graduated, he was offered a position as a teaching assistant due to his remarkable skills with the katana and magic use. He refused and decided to go back home where he would spend most of his time until he reached the age of twenty-four. He made the decision to go back to the Shaolin Academy and apply for the headmaster position. Each candidate was put to battle with one another and none of them stood a chance. He became headmaster and received immediate respect from the instructors and other students who know of his blood ties and remarkable fighting ability. He is now twenty-eight years of age, making him the youngest headmaster there ever was at the academy.

Personality: An energetic individual with a wayward personality, Yaozu is the definition of a reckless youth. He's energetic, passionate, and hard-headed but do not underestimate his playful behavior and shorter stature. He has the will of a hundred men as his stubbornness can be a valuable weapon, and he's smarter than he may seem. Though he may be risk-taker, he's also logical in a way that he understands and accepts the consequences that may come with his decisions, and therefore, jumps into any situation fully prepared.

Biography: Yao's recklessness has always been prevalent even when he was younger, being born as an only child to an average family of lower-middle class. His parents were constantly working, and though they loved him very much, had always left him to tend himself as they both tried to make a living for their family. This had made him quite adaptive growing up, being able to take care of himself fairly well when he was a young child. He is of smaller stature than most boys his age, and therefor, often become a target of bullies. But being left alone had nurtured the impatient and intrepid spirit that he harbored, and as he grew up, became quite a boy with explosive energy. He had learned to street-fight at a young age to deter those that dare pick on him. In his small town, he was regarded as the source of all things mischievous, having led a small band of reckless youths much like himself. Even after founding his calling as a martial artist, and joining the famous Shaolin School to devote his endless energy in becoming a world-renown fighter, no one can extinguish his fearless flame.

Martial Art Style

1.) Chāquán - the style of Long Fists. Fluid and smooth, this martial arts focuses on the extension of the body into long movements. It includes a lot of aerial maneuver, making it a "long-range" combat form, as each powerful fist and kick can unexpectedly reach the opponent from a far distance.

2.) Chujiao - the style of Poking Foot. Indicated by it's name, this martial arts focuses on the explosive power of the legs, utilizing many dashes, jumps, and kicks in combination of rapid fist sequences in a forward flurry. It is often called the martial arts of "falling meteorites" because of it's unrelenting combos.

By studying and training under these two styles, Yaozu is able to overcome his 'physical limitation' and is able to match and sometimes exceed the speed and power of his taller and heavier opponents. The intense leg-strength and speed workout of Chujiao coupled with the flexibility and extension given to him by the Long Fist style allowed him to create a unique set of movements and combos that efficiently combines the two martial arts style into a powerful offense and iron-like defense.

Magic Style

1.) Shadow Cloak: Mystical shadow envelops Yaozu, giving him a boost to defense. Although the resistance is fairy weak compared to other magic-based armor, its true power lies in its ability to induce illusions thru afterimage to confuse his opponents, as the Cloak gives Yaozu and ethereal-like and hazy appearance.

2.) Black Flames: Yaozu can manifest flames of blackness to his hands and feet. This enhances his offensive power, as it gives him the ability to impact his hits with cauterizing force. It burns fiercely and brilliantly when activated.

3.) Shadow Breath: A powerful and primal technique that dispenses a lot of Yaozu's Kurai energy. Usually used as an ultimate move or sure-hit finisher. To prepare it, Yaozu must internalize a great amount of energy and condense it, which puts a lot of strain on his body. The longer he charges, the more devastating it is and the more it cripples his body.

Personality: When it comes down to it, Hikaru is just a normal teenager at heart. He freaks out when something big happens, he gets jealous of others, and he doesn't think before he speaks his mind. He's clumsy, laid back, and does not have the same amount of passion and determination as most other students in the dojo (which is why he doesn't take losing in sparring matches personally). He can be cowardly when panicking, and a jerk when frustrated.
Still, when he needs to face something seriously, he'll do just that. When he needs to fight, he'll do his best. The difference between how he normally fights and when he's trying to win would honestly astonish people who know him.
He may not know what exactly to say to anyone that's feeling down, but he'll always be willing to listen if it'll help them get over something.

Biography: How does one describe the life of a normal guy? A guy who hasn't gone through anything special to bring him to where he was now. He didn't have any special training, he suffered no tragedy, nor was he given any unique qualities or characteristics. He was just a kid growing the way most kids did.

How did he come to attend the Shaolin School? It was honestly on a whim. He wanted to look cool by learning how to fight like the warriors in myths and stories. He wanted to learn how to do all the awesome moves and techniques that martial artists do. So, he ended up joining a famous shaolin school.

Of course whatever motivation and excitement he had before, died off when he saw people obviously more skilled than himself. He watched as they took their lessons seriously, and with the intent of actually using it for something more than whatever Hikaru himself was going for.

In the end, he ended up staying in the school, but seemingly treating everything like it was a hobby. It kinda makes one wonder if he's ready for the coming events...

Martial Art Style (Name and descriptions for each.):
1. Free-Style: Quite possibly the worst fighting style anyone will see in this RP. As the name implies, it has no concrete style, and is completely dependent on the user's Iintentions. That means that it involves plenty of sloppy, and unnecesssary movements, and unpredictable control over the power behind the hits. On the positive side, however, if the user has practiced enough, they can incorporate moves that they've seen in action before. In Hikaru's case, he also incorporates the whip on his arm as a weapon.

2. Flowing Togakure Ninpo Taijutsu: A modified version of the original fighting style. The modifications sacrifice a majority of the power behind the attacks in favor of nimble movement and evasiveness.

Magic Style (Name and descriptions for each.):
1. Trap-Happy: Through Light Manipulation, Hikaru is able to create orbs of Light energy to float idly. These orbs are activated on his command to become a variety of objects meant to bind or injure enemies.

2. Twilight Teleportation: Hikaru has access to one spell that utilizes Twilight magic. This spell allows him to teleport from one place to another place within 15 miles of his original position. There are several drawbacks to using this magic:

Personality: Kaori is what many would consider lazy. This is only partially true, as she is a relaxed and generally slow moving person, often giving off the impression that she is in a daze or a state of confusion. In reality, she is complete in control of her actions and is acutely aware of her surroundings. This facade allows her to remain mostly inconspicuous and get away with napping in class from time to time, since half the time she's ignoring class and writing notes that have no pertaining to anything that is actually going on. Her perception of others is almost nonexistent, as she'd prefer to simply be left alone, and fails to interact socially with others unless forced to. She is not a leader, but a passive follower and a reactionist.

Biography: Born and raised a few miles outside of a temple of monks, the village she lived in was one of peace and serenity. It was not one that young Kaori disliked. In fact, the tranquility of her little village, which farmed enough to sustain itself and the temple, is what gave her her lazy attitude and outlook on life. There wasn't a need to interact with other people, because everything was provided for her. However, by the time she was twelve, Kaori had grown tired of the lifestyle, and began to train her body. It wasn't combat training, just physical and muscle training. At fourteen, she arrived at the temple to train under some monks, who taught her two of the five types of Monkey Fist, however only a year and a half later she was kicked out once they found out she was practicing black magics. So, she permanently adopted the style of the Lost Monkey to give off a false impression, and went off to find and join the Shaolin School.

Martial Art Style
Tai Shing Lost Monkey - Lost Monkey feigns a lot. Practitioners of Lost Monkey give the appearance of being lost and confused to deceive the opponent into underestimating his abilities, and he retaliates when it is least expected. The hands and footwork change and flow from each other at will.
Tai Shing Stone Monkey - The practitioner trains up his body to exchange blows with the opponent - Stone Monkey uses a kind of iron body method. It will leave an area exposed on its body for an opponent to attack, so it can attack a more vital spot on the body. It is important not to attack reflexively at open spots, and try to hammer away at their weak spots until they give in.

Magic Style
Darkness Manipulation - The power to manipulate darkness/shadows in a variety of ways.
Black Lightning Manipulation - User can create, shape and manipulate manipulate the darker, destructive and consuming aspects of lightning, which ignores the limitations and weaknesses of normal lightning. Black lightning not only discharges energy, it shocks and destroys everything it touches, including regular and white lightning.
Dark Shield Construction - The user can create shields of varying shapes and sizes out of the darkness using umbra kinetic constructs.

Personality: Hitomi is very quiet and reserved; she doesn’t care for loud noises or grand displays. When speaking to her, it may take some time for her to respond because she chooses her words very carefully. She may at times seem detached from the world we live in, but she is well aware of what is happening in her vicinity at any given time. She tends not to get close to people, because such a thing for her is akin to a sacred bond that can never be broken. She loathes deception and more than that, being pitied.

Biography: Born completely blind, Hitomi has lived her entire life in darkness. That being said, she is more than capable of taking care of herself, to the point that she has even trained to manipulate the darkness which constantly surrounds her. Ordinary schools didn’t seem to challenge her enough, so she and her parents decided that she had to find a greater challenge. Perhaps there was a place where she would not only be challenged academically, but perhaps magically as well…

Martial Art Style:
1.) Aikido – A form of hand-to-hand martial arts that focus on redirecting and terminating attacks, utilizing turning movements, throws, and joint locks.
2.) Aiki-ken – A form of swordplay that utilizes techniques found in Aikido.

Magic Style:
1.) Shadow Mimicry – Hitomi can transform herself into a living shadow, which grants her great speed, and the ability to slip through cracks. However, the shadow she becomes is a physical object and as such, she can still be harmed while in this form.
2.) Shadow Manipulation – She can manipulate shadows that are already cast, turning them into physical forms (they have a silky texture) that she can use to bind or strike her opponents.
3.) Shadow Empathy – More for her own benefit than an actual attack, she can use the shadows to “feel” her way around different areas and surfaces.

Appearance:


Personality: Yoshito is the sort of sarcastic, unenthusiastic child that didn't get along with others his age. He enjoys having a good laugh at minor things, which may cause him to come off as easily distracted, but Yoshito maintains a correct focus. Despite him being so young, his intellect is far above what most would regard it to be. He most often has a strong will and moral compass, but also spends perhaps too much time laid back, causing the severity of most situations to bring him little, if not any fear. Overall Yoshito is an independent person that prefers getting most things done on his own, or not at all.

Biography: Growing up even younger than Yoshito is before was very troubled. Not financially, but Yoshito himself was a born a youngling with zero discipline. At school he was neither a bully, nor one picked upon, though his grades were an obvious failure. Only for a short while was it tolerable until both Yoshito's parents figured they couldn't handle a child much longer, especially one of this audacity. At the age of 7, Yoshito had been sent to be raised and trained at a temple of martial artists a few miles outside of his home village. There he obtained new power, and learned techniques that gave him a new mindset, and something more to do. Here he didn't have to be bored by those around him at school, and his foolhardy ways were taken care of. Only recently did Yoshito move to Asheville where he recruited himself, making him something of a "new kid".

Martial Art Style -

1.) Togakure-ryū: A traditional ninpō (Ninjutsu) that focuses on analyzing your opponent through combat in order to gain additional information on said opponents fighting patterns. This knowledge may be used in physical escapes and often evasion techniques in order to counter attack when an opening is exposed.

2.) Ng Ga Kuen/Ng Gar King: A Chinese style of martial arts that incorporates techniques from the five Shaolin animals: the tiger, the dragon, the leopard, the snake and the crane. Ng Ga Kuen brings together a multitude of fighting styles that are used for various situations and scenarios such as speed (Leopard), strength (Tiger), evasion (Snake), equilibrium (Crane), and intellect or the ability to smoothly preform in combat (Dragon). Most techniques are seen utilizing open palm thrusts, parries, and boxing combat.

Magic Abilities -
1.) Photokinetic Combat: The ability to fuse light energy within your body to greatly increase your speed tenfold, which also amplifies hitting power, allowing for much faster attacks, and a much quicker evasion. Yoshito cannot literally move at light speed.

2.) Energy Beam Emission: A beam of pure light and energy usually ejected from the palm of fingertips that can be thinned out for accurate shooting, or widened for large destruction. Not only is the beam used to project damage, but can smite dark energy and absorb life-force to make an opponent feel weaker. Almost predictable if used too often.

3.) Photon Healing: Yoshito may heal himself or others using a photogenic regenerative process. Larger wounds may take longer, and this ability will run out if a light source is not current.

Weapon: Default unarmed, but competent with various Chinese variants.

Personality: A fairly, some would say too, laid-back individual. Yori is very much an observer rather than someone who likes to get involved and get his hands dirty. While not adverse to hard work, given his chosen path, it’s not his natural response to most situations. Something has to catch his attention first, or involve his vested interest.

Hard to rile up, he maintains his disposition until situations begin to escalate out of hand too fast for his liking. Under those circumstances his laid-back mannerisms disappear and Yori becomes decisive and serious. Unafraid to step on others’ toes if it solves the problem, he demonstrates a brute methodology that clashes with his usual mannerisms.

Biography: Was it his grandparents or great-grandparents that were survivors of the original Hikari and Kurai conflict? Eh… it didn’t really matter, but essentially martial arts were kind of a big deal for his family. Given they stood as the winners of the conflict, the styles of Hikari were passed down from generation to generation. Yori was no different and his training began at a young age.

Yet he was different. The practice of martial arts naturally drew out the Yang in his soul and awakened Yori to his first style of magic. Balance in all things though, and with his expression of one half of the soul the other naturally wished to follow. Instinctively he tapped and drew out the black fire manifestation of his Yin to the surprise of his family. With only old manuals and transcripts to go off of though, Yori was forced to adapt. His Kurai style was nowhere as pure, relying and utilizing the movements of his Hikari style, but as a martial artist he continued to develop.

Eventually, the natural thing to do of course was to allow Yori to attend the academy. All the more so since its latest headmaster allowed for both styles.

Martial Art Style
1.) Bajiquan = A style that uses explosive, short-range power, famous for its elbow strikes. Yori primarily uses this style for offensive purposes, using Baguazhang footwork to move himself into positions that make his strikes all the more deadly.
2.) Baguazhang: More specifically the Yin Style in which footwork and striking are distinct from one another. Meshes well with his Bajiquan practice, turning the circle into an optimal position, striking quickly, and continuing to move.

Magic Style
1.) Light Form = “The ability to undergo a transformation to a powerful light form.” By tapping into the Yang of his soul, Yori is shrouded in a glow of white energy. While in this state he boasts increased defenses and naturally regenerates at a visible pace. His touch can heal if applied properly, but strikes meant to harm will disrupt the flow of energy within his opponents and render them unconscious.
2.) Dark Form = “The ability to undergo a transformation into a powerful, and more sinister form.” On the other hand, by tapping into the Yin of his soul Yori is covered by what looks like black fire. He strikes harder and faster, and each of his blows drive a portion of these flames into his enemies. The energy eats away from within, disrupting their ability to move at first and even resulting in internal damage. They also naturally burn away at the magic of others, offering him some modicum of magic resistance.
3.) Yin & Yang: Together as One = Black flames flicker on his arms and legs and within his eyes while a shroud of white energy envelops the rest of his body. The benefits of both forms gathered into one, it puts a heavy strain on Yori to sustain though. His attacks are that much more devastating as both effects materialize, conflict, and rip apart his enemy’s body though.

Personality
Victorique is an easy going, confident young woman, customarily declaring herself as an assassin and displaying her skills. Rarely does Victorique become agitated or nervous, typically acting casually in most situations. She is even able to remain calm and function normally even while at a disadvantage. Although, there are times where she can get uneasy and even embarrassed. She is also quite kind and friendly, usually getting along with almost everybody. Even those who act hostile to her, she will still act cordially regardless of their actions. Additionally, Victorique can be quite playful and teasing, sometimes teasing or tricking her friends amuses her greatly. Furthermore, she also enjoys observing them and watching them react in different situations. Overall, Victorique appreciates her friends and cares deeply for their well being, supporting and watching over them. Despite her mischievous behaviors, Victorique has a serious side, especially when the people she cares about are in danger. During those times, she is very reliable, willing to fight and protect others when they are unable to battle.

Biography
Victorique was born in England, since her parents didn't have enough money to keep care of her she was sent to Japan after she just turned 5, to be taken care of by her uncle. Her uncle ran his own company and lived in a big house. He didn't mind for her to stay, but he didn't have enough time to take care of the child and left it to the maids and butlers most of the time. Even a private teacher was being hired for her to teach her Japanese and all the other basic subjects she had already learned in England. It wasn't long before she got used to the culture and traditions. It made her excited about reading manga and watching movies. She always liked the ninjas in de movies and mangas and wanted to be just like them. Her uncle was tottally okay with it and let her do whatever she wanted. Victorique pressed on with becoming a ninja and trained hard for it over the next few years.

Victorique has been sent to a public Japanese school when she was 8. She still attended ninja classes and was enjoying it to the fullest. She had developed quite some skill for it too. Making friends in school was rather easy for her since she was so calm and caring to everyone. But living this new life didn't run completely smooth. Sleep terrors occurred more and more during this period of her life making it very difficult to keep on sleeping. It made her pretty drowsy during the days but she kept pushing through and tried to not make a big fuss about it with just keep acting casual to others when they asked if she was alright. It didn't give much more problems and she tried to live with it the best she could.

When she turned 14 she needed to decide what she wanted to do after this school, but nothing came to mind and it became a very quick problem. The school helped her to find a school that she liked and it seemed to fit nicely. With her skills and talents she got accepted in the Mikado Daigaku school to become a fully fledged assassin.

Martial Art Style

3)Shurikenjutsu is a general term describing the traditional Japanese martial arts of throwing shuriken, which are small, hand-held weapons used primarily by the Samurai in feudal Japan, such as metal spikes bō shuriken, circular plates of metal known as hira shuriken, and knives. Shurikenjutsu was usually taught among the sogo-bugei, or comprehensive martial arts systems of Japan, as a supplemental art to those more commonly practiced such as kenjutsu, sojutsu, bōjutsu and battlefield grappling kumi-uchi (old form jujutsu), and is much less prevalent today than it was in the feudal era.

Lady Kazumi is cruel but mature. She is lustful but in control of herself. She hardly cares about those not worth her time or who isn’t a part of her legion.

Biography:
Lady Kazumi has not been seen in generations ever since the disappearance of Akihiko, the infamous Kurai Master who converted younger students to follow his rule who became a myth. She was a queen who ruled over Terene and was the first to invest of the construction of Mikado Daigaku to serve Akihiko’s purpose. Later she and Akihiko became lovers. Terene fell under a state of oppression until Hikari acolyte Junichi Saburo ruined their plans and trapped himself and Akihiko in a dark portal that is now the monument outside in the school’s courtyard. Hikari students who studied under Junichi stormed her kingdom after Akihiko fell in defeat but she was able to escape.

She was kept in hiding and used forbidden spells to prolong her youthful look. She has not emerged since…until now.
