…Was this supposed to be a poetry slam now? Why the hell was Chikage reciting a bad haiku? What was the point of all of this? Rui-Ling mowed through more of his desserts, washing irritation with sweetness, until the ancient loli decided to direct a mortal blow towards him. Flushing angrily at her words, Rui-Ling replied, swallowing a painfully large scoop of ice cream, “Can it, you washboard hag. If you weren’t so intent on attracting pedophiles with your faux-elegance, maybe I’d actually take your romantic advice seriously.”

With that harrumph, he went back to eating. At least the elderly jailbait was getting to the meat of the issue now…which was also pointlessly and painfully enigmatic. Something bad is going to happen in the near future? For humans, isn’t that normal? And an ancient evil? What’s that supposed to be, her period? And of course that’d take the form of a bunch of missions that any wet-behind-the-ears Chaser could take. Why not just form an elite group of Youkai and Chasers, instead of giving it out to the general public? He wasn't really sure what Chikage was even thinking...but then again, that troll was probably thinking of nothing.

While recovering from his bout of brain-freeze, a new arrival came in, some youkai fan of Shiina’s that immediately hugged the vampire maid…before her guard dog rushed over, punched down the poor butterfly-moth-whatever-thing, and then Sheridan pointed one of her guns at it, clearly intent on blowing it into pieces.

Wow. All these overreactions these days. Shiina wouldn't die even if it was a suicide bomber moth, so what was there to be worried about?

Hell, what if it was Shiina’s vampire-moth cousin or something? Kids these days, using violence to solve everything. Between Shiina’s knife-toss threats and Eiko’s vicious takedowns, the young immortal was really questioning the rules this café had in regards to treating customers. He placed his silver hand over the muzzle of Sheridan’s assault rifle, just in case the Spice Reaper was feeling trigger happy that day, before saying to her, “A little hasty, isn’t it? Though I suppose rocket punching that poor thing was already too much in and of itself.”

“And Chikage, don’t suppose you know this moth at all?”

Kazuki

The doctor had almost forgotten what Chikage was like. His left eyebrow raised in skepticism as she flirted. Kazuki was well aware that she was vastly older than he himself was, despite her youthful appearance, so it was likely she has been doing this sort of thing for hundreds of years to hundreds of men. It would be indulgent to think she solely focused on him so he didn't even consider the idea. "I didn't realize I was your sensei," Kazuki joked, chuckling lightly. There was no reason to give Chikage the cold shoulder, especially not when the mood was so light in the Dangeki Cafe at the moment.

Kazu sipped on his coffee while Chikage explained the situation. He narrowed his eye as she finished, already analyzing the information presented. Either Lady Chikage doesn't know what will happen for sure or she does and isn't willing to tell us, Kazu thought, setting down the coffee next to his briefcase. Both possibilities bring bad news. The situation is more serious than she is letting on. But it seems that nobody else has caught onto the magnitude just yet. It would be a bad idea on my part to bring it up right now. If the others aren't worried then there is no need to scare them. Kazuki let out a sigh and scratched the side of his head with his right hand.

"Fairly straightforward, I have no questions," he stated, before his good eye darted towards the door of the Cafe, or rather where the door used to be. He sensed the approaching Youkai, but did not react as the moth creature waltzed into the Dangeki. It didn't seem to present much of a threat, and even if it was dangerous it had just walked into a room full of humans and Youkai that could take it down single-handed. He kept his eye on the creature as it approached the vampire, Shiina, and locked her in a hug. Of course there was quick and punishing actions taken, resulting in the moth Youkai being punched to the ground and held at gunpoint. A spark appeared in Kazuki's eye as he began using his X-Ray Vision to examine the moth, assessing the damage it had taken as well as getting a good idea of its physiology.

It only took him a few seconds before the spark disappeared and his vision returned to normal. Much like how Rui-Ling stepped in to keep Sheridan from shooting the creature, Kazuki spoke up in its defense. "There is no need to overreact here," he stated, picking up his coffee again and taking another sip. "This Youkai isn't dangerous to us in its present state. Judging by the size and composition of its brain it seems rather young. Hurting it any further is completely unnecessary." Kazu closed his eye and let out another sigh. The Chasers were diverse and varied, so it was always a hassle when a large number got together. Many of them were far more vigorous and hot-blooded than Kazuki, so it was always annoying to have to rope them back in with logic every time they got out of hand.

When Kazu opened his eye he set down the cup of coffee. He then finally opened his briefcase, revealing that it had contained his combat gauntlets. He removed his gloves briefly to put them on before placing the gloves back over them, largely concealing them now. He left the briefcase sitting open as he picked his coffee up again. "I am ready to accept one of the missions now, Shiina."

Tomori

The robotic girl kindly accepted the emotionless girl her money and activated her work drones that would serve anyone in the cafe. It was sometimes quite handy to havr those but they could only be used when there were no normal humans. Of course they could also use it when there where humans but that might be a little suspicious to have such high technology flying about in the cafe. Sheridan seemed quite surprised with the cheesecake on the house. Tomori watched the girl while she had her serving board in front of her mouth with both her hands holding it. She curiously watched the woman if she was gonna eat it or not even Rui-Ling helped Tomori convince her to eat something and as soon as she took the first bite Tomori returned to normal and looked if anyone else needed her help.

She was taken surprise when she saw a giant moth attack Shiina. Tomori angled her head a little as the beast did nothing but hug the bar lady. Tomori looked behind her and she could see the gun of Sheridan pointed at the moth. Tomori shook her head lightly at the girl "It's not hostile." Tomori looked at the moth again and saw it being punched by her fellow colleague. She angled her head again and stared at Eiko who just punched the creature. Tomori slowly walked over and squated down next to it and poked it lightly on the side "Hirashai." Her voice still was the good old monotone on like always as she welcome yet another new customer "Would you like to order something?" She kept on poking the creature and eventually stopped. Tomori looked at Eiko again "I think you killed it." Her voice was full of joy and flowers (not) as she talked to Eiko making it look like she did not really care about it.

Star likes the feel of hugging this cold one, it was nice to warm someone after being unable to warm Lucille earlier. Lost in his thoughts and as Star was about to truly heat up a metal thing hit him in the face, sending him sprawling to the ground by the entrance.

He lay there for sometime, trying to make sense of what happened. A metal thing stopped me from making the cold one warm. Why? How can it not like warm? soon he was talked to by another cold thing, everything was so cold here, but he could only warm one at a time, he wasn’t big enough to warm a lot yet.

"Would you like to order something?... I think you killed it."

He turned his head to the speaking thing and shied away from her instinctively before trying to stand. Feeling himself falling backwards, Star lightly fluttered his wings to support himself, but fell back down into a sitting position. A look of pure confusion crossed Star's face he fluttered even harder and firmly stood in place. Taking a step forward, testing before putting his whole weight down, Star slowly made his way across the room and went back to the cold one he had been hugging. Trying to resist the need to warm her, Star simply stood so that she was between him and the metal one, not wanting to be hit again.

“Metal one. Why are you selfish? I will warm you, but the coldest ones need warm the most. I will look after you later, no need to be jealous of her.” his flame churned within him, wanting to explode, but he held it down. Patting the metal hand that hit him Star decided to be nice and hopefully fulfill his secondary goal

“If you tell me some good words I’ll warm you first. I need better words so I can warm the most cold one. The metal must also be very cold, I will help~”, gently holding the metal hand in his own, Star slowly warmed it.

"What do you want here?"

Zane's grin spread to a full mad smile, He quickly strode across the room and put his finger under her chin and stared into her eyes. "Only to hear your beautiful voice, my electronic princess, kekeke..." He said, creepily. A tense moment later, he threw back his head and laughed a much more natural laugh. He put his hands up in a gesture of surrender and stepped back. "Only joking, only joking. He said. His grin was now one of genuine mirth. "I'm here on business, actually, the sad fact is, I need money." He walked away and sat in an empty chair and ordered some coffee. Once it arrived, he blew on it to cool it down and sipped it casually as he lisned to Chikage's announcement. The work sounds boring, but the rewards should be nice. He thought.

He notaced Rui-Ling, the supposive immortal and thought about how he could observe his immortality, maybe even attempt to replicate it. A few others interested him, such as the woman with the robotic arm, Eiko. The rest of the molty collecton of youkai and Chasers, he didn't care about in the least. When the Moth-thing barged in, he didn't react other than to snach his coffee up as his table was knocked over by the ensuing scuffle. He righted it with a dynamo and set his coffee back down, sipping occasionally as he watched the drama unfold.

Tsuyoshi smiled as finally there were missions worth getting in a tizzy about. Once Chikage was finished talking, Tsuyoshi rushed over to the mission board, scanning through them all. A racing bike!? he thought as he saw the Yellow Jacket mission. He looked it over and with a nod to himself he signed up for it. "Let's go already!" He announced jokingly, and proceeded back to the bar, and waited for anyone else that wanted to take on the Yellow Jackets. Although... he hadn't actually heard of them before. Tsuyoshi awaited for Shiina to return to the bar and start gathering information already. "So who are the Yellow Jackets again?" He asked.

Sonomachi City - Dangeki Cosplay Café

The darkness announced Chikage's arrival and with it the impending reveal of the truth. However, the night was all but beginning and the moon still ought to bear witness to many unfolding stories...

Eos

"Hmph!" Eos scoffed when Zane touched her, despite the fact that she still kept the same robotic attitude of always as she clutched her service tray closet to her chest and stared blankly at his eyes "..." as he told his reasons to seeking this place yet again.

Surprisingly enough, or not so much, Eos took Zane's order silently before nodding and going back to the bar to place it and then to the kitchen to retrieve a slice of strawberry shortcake that she was saving for herself and coming back with both that and the drink that Zane ordered. "Don't misundertand me..." she said dryly before moving to the other tables.

Then, Eos noticed the new customer that had arrived while she was tending to Zane and went to the lupine looking girl "Irashai" Eos said with little emotion as she came and received the other girl's order. "Would you like a dessert too, ojou-sama?" Eos added, after all, they wouldn't make much revenue by giving away free samples to everyone who came into the Dangeki tonight.

@Lmpkio@Crimson Raven

Reiko

"Thank you, Yuu" Reiko said to Yuudai, not letting escape the fact that the day when this would happen was closer then Yuudai thought. However, Reiko's jaw drppoed when she saw what happened next and she almost couldn't believe her eyes when Star walked inside of the Dangeki along with... someone else.

"Yuudai" Reiko said, calling Yuudai by her complete name was something that she only did when things were trully serious and the tone she used would surely make the oni notice it "It seems we have a problem in our hands. The Efreet is here," she said pointing to Star, "as well as something that shouldn't even exist."

"Listen to me well. Whatever is it that you do, don't get even near that woman with the black parasol. If I'm right about my guess, she could very well kill us all in the blink of an eye if she wished to." Reiko said to Yuudai, before looking at her surrogate sister's eyes and wating for her reply.

[Kitsune]

Things were getting interesting now that Chikage had finally revealed the contents of the so called 'mission', though the some of the Chasers didn't seem to show as much interest as it warranted. Seriously, do they not believe that the world might end if they don't do anything? Chikage has seen it before, and probably this won't be the last time, she thought.

Nevertheless, "It's none of my business", the ancient Youkai whispered randomly just as the Kamen Rider wannabe walked inside of the Dangeki and proceeded tp sexually harrass its owner, just before being rocket punched by one of the maids. "Not that I remember, Ruri-kun" Chikage replied to Rui-ling's question, tough the grin in her face would make it quite obvious to the immortal that she was lying yet again.

However, before Chikage could keep on her interaction with the remainder of the Chasers, her attention was directed at another someone standing by the threshold "Good evening, might I ask if you have any business here? This is a private gathering, after all." she said, smilling to the creature in a faked innocent way.

"Dear me. And here I thought you had more class than to lie in the face of someone like me Chikage," the figure responded back, stepping in through the desctruction and revealing the form of Lucille. Twirling her black parasol, the girl's red eyes scanned to the one held in Chikage's hand and a frown creased her face. As far as she was concerned, the other Chasers present were of no concern to her.

"You've had your fun. Now do be so kind as to return a lady's belongings. After all, you shouldn't have taken them in the first place."

"Ara!" Chikage said, sounding not so very surprised "So it was you? With so many old acquaitances coming back these days, I guess it was to be expected." Then, she twirled her umbrella, sending a few cherry blossom petals flying through the air.

"Don't you think you're being too stingy? This is but a parting gift. How else would you expect me to remember the good old days?"

"Hardly," Lucille replied back, catching a stray cherry blossom and crushing it between her palms. "I suppose it would make a lovely parting gift. Barring the fact that you took without permission. Tell me Chikage, would you like me to tear your face off in front of your precious Chasers? I doubt many of them would be able to stomach the sight of your true form."

"Isn't it fiiting to steal a single token from the one who stole something much more precious from me in the past?" Chikage winked at Lucille eyeing the current aspect of the Monster of the Grave "Anyway, I don't remember any human who've seen you and remained sane, too, Shubby."

"If you're referring to one of your fallen Chasers, she chose to stay by my side," Lucille said with a smirk, though her eye twitched at Chikage's use of the nickname. "Though she hasn't been feeling the greatest so I suppose you could say I'm a little pissed off. Maybe even depresed. What can I say? Caving your skull in makes me feel a little better."
The air crackled with tension as two opposing forces stared each other down. Getting involved between their confrontation would only result in a three month long stay in the local hospital and that was getting off lucky. Even still, Lucille turned to smirk at the group of Chasers, daring one of them to make a move against her.

Chikage sighed "Hmm... you're more dense than I thought. It's almost as if you don't know what lies deep in the heart of a woman." Chikage said, before whispering in a voice so low that no sound would be heard by any other than Lucille "Yet, why did you have to go and steal mine, back then? I'll be keeping this" Chikage twirled the umbrella again "until you figure it... don't worry, it's in good hands."

Lucille narrowed her eyes, having a faint clue as to what Chikage was reffering to. Whatever actions she may have done in the past, she neither regretted nor cared too deeply for them. With a final glare, she twirled her own parasol, pointing the end at the woman standing before her.

Suddenly, Chikage snapped her fingers and stuck her tongue out, trying to make a cute face "Silly me, I knew that I was forgetting something" she said before waving one of her hands towards a shady spot on the wall behind her "Suki my dear, come here, there's someone I want to introduce to you." Chikage said, summoning her representative to the gathering, not minding to check if she in any kind of embarrassing situation or not before doing so.

Mia and the Rook

The Rook had spotted both the creepy moth thing's rapidly rising temperature and flicked out its blades before Mia told it to calm down. Almost immediately, it switched over to the next target, unable to make a move as it got a read on the parosel using woman's power. She wasn't giving it an opening to exploit, and the engine's thrummed ominously as it prepared to make a move. It kept waiting, looking, searching, constantly pinging Mia with updates.

Mia, for her part, totally ignored the confrontation as she looked at the newly posted job. She gaped at the reward. That was more money than she'd ever seen in her entire life. That would pay for all the damages that the Rook incurred "accidentally" for an entire year. Triple S or not, the promise of untold riches followed by actually having a bed designed for comfort rather than cheap replaceablity was more than she could pass up. She could pay back the wrecked door instantly and probably buy all of the current customers a supercar without flinching. Or the Rules of Nature mission. Meat, free meat, for an entire year! No more deciding her meals based on the lowest price!

She was still salivating openly as she forced her way to the front of the shop again. Money. Meat. Money. Behind her, the Rook was unable to calm down from battle readiness, red-hot blades still hissing in the cool air. "Miss Shinna, can I get a little bit more information on the, ah, Black Goat and werewolf mission? Anything that I can use?"

Sheridan Black

Sheridan sighed and put the weapon back into her bag, walking over to the job posting board. It occured to her that the moth thing could have chosen her as well, being undead. Things might have gone slightly worse in such a case. The banter between the two powerful individuals at the front of the room interested her little.

She approached the chaser that she was most familiar with. "Hey Mia, I think that you and your partner would be suited to Rules of Nature. it should be a good match for your strengths." Not to mention that the lack of anything to protect, rescue or retrieve would cut down on the potential for collateral damage. All Sheridan had to do was make sure she kept herself out of the way.

Usagi Shikinami

Usagi waits patiently as she watches the waitress go and make the green tea. Already she was reading one of the magic books that she always carries with her, usually to write notes, create spells, and even write some new ones in as well. She usually trains back in her realm, mostly with simulations, and only comes out to predict the deaths of people or come in as an omen to heal them. All this depends on the person or yokai's role, personality, and/or history. As Usagi waits for her drink, another girl welcomes her as she approaches. The shinigami looks up to see the girl, who happens to be partially cybernetic. Possible android perhaps? The girl then asks if she would like some desert, even kindly addressing her as ojou-sama. Usagi makes a light smile as she puts her book down.

"Arigatō." she answers the girl's welcome, "Two mizu yokan pieces will do."

~Zane Tracer~

Zane sat, appearing to slowly savor his coffee, but he was actualy using a sound amplifier in his ear that could also filter out other background noise to eavesdrop on the conversation between Chikage and another individual that his insincts told him was very dangerous. That was supported by the way she spoke to Chikage and what passed between them. At the last part, Chikage wispered something, and he had to crank the volume up to catch it. Interesting. He thought. Not terribly relevent, or informaive. But intersting anyways. It appears that either that umbrella is importaint or the circumstances aroung how she got it are. He dismissed them from his thoughts as he finished his coffee, paid for it, and got up to look at the requests posted. Marshmallows? Hehehe, some one else must have a twisted sence of humor. No, that one pays too little. That werewolve looks interesting, but it also looks like a pain in the ass. A legendary weapon of legendary powers? Sounds like a fake. A possable new ally? I think I'd end up killing him. Stealth mission? He suddenly laughed loudly. No. Racing bike? Scrap metal. So, S or SSS? That triple-s looks fun, but, as the highest reward its going to have the most people who also want to do it, dividing the reward between them. Also, working on a team is not my style. He glanced at Chikage and the newcomer out of the corner of his eye. A parsol huh? I wonder... He didn't finsh that thought. He looked back at the reward and its almost ridiculous number of zeros. Even divided, that is a hefty sum, and money is what I'm here for. I'll take it. He approched Chikage but noticed the Rook and instead, focused on it. "Well, what have we here? He heard the noise of it's mechanisms. He bared his teeth into a mad grin. "Not bad craftsmanship, for an oversized tin bucket. He said, rapping it's armor with his fist. "I wonder, I wonder, when I take you apart, what will I find, hmmm? What. Makes. You. Tick.?" He asked, addressing the thing.

Ill Met by Moonlight

If anyone were to head into the park that night they would have discovered a very strange sight. A massive pile of cans were on the ground in front of a vending machine missing its whole top half which had been torn off and tossed aside.

At the very top of the pile, a very strange creature sat, gulping down the last drink.

"Phew!" It said, sighing in contentment. He hopped off the pile and trotted along the path. "I can't believe I drank all of that..."

He'd never seen a vending machine before and he'd never drunken anything from a can before. He'd found out it tasted really good and before he knew it he'd drank everything already. He stopped by some inconspicuous looking bushes and jumped into them, coming out with the one thing that made them perhaps the strangest duo in existence.

"Life is a relentless torrent of filth and-" But before it could finish, he snapped it up with his jaws and flipped it onto his head. It landed with a small splat! and stuck there.

He'd quickly learned to ignore the blobfish when it started talking because none of what it said ever made any sense.

"What should I do next?" He said.

He didn't have many chances to run around in the human world, he had to make the most of every chance he got. He knew there were some Youkai that stayed in the human world but he didn't have anywhere to go so he didn't. There were so many things in the human world too, it was just a shame he'd never been in it during the day time.

"Hmmm...?" He said, "What's that?"

In a nearby alleyway, he could see there was a back door open. It had large claw marks around where the handle should be... The claw marks looked like they belonged to a large werewolf of some description. He trotted along towards it.

When he reached it, he looked inside and found some kind of kitchen, completely ransacked. There was another busted door with trails of blood coming out of it and scraps of raw meat strewn around the place.

A howl cut through the night and he ran out to see a large furry figure dashing off, probably in search of more food.

"Hmmm... Maybe this will lead to something interesting!" He said.

He flipped the blobfish off his head and clamped onto it with his jaws. Having the blobfish on his head would lower his aerodynamic-ness (aerodynamiosity?), and he needed to run fast. His merry trot turned into a fast trot, in chase of what would surely end up as more than just a trivial pursuit.

Events were happening all at once. So much so, that Shiina had to blink just to catch up. It was a good thing that she was immortal anyway because these sort of things always seemed to happen to her these days. First and foremost was the moth…fire…thing.

The vampire found herself free of the creature’s hug rather quickly as her fellow Chasers took it down efficiently. She wouldn’t lie, she did feel a burning sensation, if only briefly. Looking down upon herself, the maid frowned as her uniform seemed a little darker than usual, singe marks on the side of her attire. That was cause for concern, though she didn’t think the moth Youkai did it out of intention.

“I’m fine Eiko,” Shiina assured with a smile, the heat on her body soon being reduced to its death-like state. “There’s no need to worry and no need to cause a fuss over this. I’m sure he didn’t mean it. But thank you.”

She then gave a small nod to Rui-Ling as he lowered Sheridan’s gun on the moth Youkai. Just in time too because the moth thing now began to explain its purpose here. Well that was certainly interesting to know. Granted, they had weirder among their ranks as Chasers so there was little to no real surprise there.

Hearing the multitude of requests for the missions at hand, Shiina smiled and proceeded to lead everyone over to the mission board-the vampire narrowed her eyes and immediately drew a knife to her hand. Someone else was among their ranks and she cursed herself for letting the presence slip by so easily. Something else…there. A girl with green hair and a black parasol. A being that Reiko and Chikage always spoke about in hushed tones.

For some reason, the mere sight of the girl put her on edge. Thankfully though, Chikage seemed to be handling the situation nicely, if Lucille’s lack of an instant slaughter was any indication. So the vampire left the two old beings to discuss plans and whatnot, noting that the other Chasers were giving out questions concerning the various missions.

“The Yellow Jackets are a gang of insect themed Youkai that generally go around on loud bikes and cause annoyances for everyone young master Tsuyoshi,” Shiina began while also shaking her head in polite denial to Eos and her offer. “Young mistress Mia. Apparently this werewolf is lying in wait in an abandoned city located from within the Crimson Sky itself. It’s said that it preys upon humans who stumble into the Crimson World unknowingly. As for the Black Goat…I’m afraid I don’t know much about it myself,” she admitted.

“But I do know that the Black Goat is a legendary Youkai and also considered the most horrific and monstrous of our kind.”

Kazuki

The doctor left his seat at the counter to check the mission board, bringing up his right hand to settle on his chin as he analyzed the missions available. It wasn't that he was having a hard time deciding what to do but rather he was trying to piece together a puzzle in his mind. To begin guessing what it is that Chikage wasn't telling them. However he didn't have long to do so before another powerful Youkai entered the cafe and began a direct conflict with Lady Chikage. Kazuki turned to face the two, locking his eye onto Lucille. Electrical sparks could be seen in the back of his pupil as he activated his X-Ray Vision once more.

So this one is similar to Chikage in a few ways, Kazu thought to himself, returning his vision to normal but maintaining his glare at Lucille. They are both in disguise and they are both well and above S-class... The other Youkai may be no threat but this one may legitimately be a threat to us all... In preparation, should Lucille actually instigate a fight, Kazuki began charging. It would be undetected for now as he could maintain the electricity he generates within his own body to a certain point, but once it would reach that level of charge it would become apparent that he was powering up. The stealthy warming-up was a precaution, something Kazu often does when a fight is going to break out. It was always better to begin combat with some electricity ready to be used than to have to start charging after the fight had begun.

But of course he didn't want to let on what he was doing. His gaze finally turned away from the two feminine Youkai, instead looking back to the mission board. "This one piques my interest," Kazu finally said aloud, placing his right index finger on the Return to Ashes job. "This kind of phenomena... I have to see it myself and find an explanation." He glanced over his shoulder towards the vampire girl, Shiina. "I would like to take this mission, Return to Ashes. Do you happen to have any advice on the job or is there no other information available?"

Rui-Ling relaxed as Sheridan retracted her gun, shoving it back into her bag like an overeager American. That blue-haired eyepatch dude had the right idea, really, and even though Rui-Ling didn’t know who exactly he was, the young immortal decided that it was nice to have someone with a good head over his shoulders. And thank god cat-girl maid’s estimations were far off. It’d be quite a mess if it was dead, all things considered. Deciding that everything was now in order, Rui-Ling went back to waiting for Chikage to get her shit sorted and went back to chomping away at his desserts…until his sharp ears caught Reiko’s words.

Something that shouldn’t exist?

Immediately, he felt his eyes draw towards this individual that even the self-proclaimed ‘greatest wizard in the world’ was threatened by, and couldn’t help but smile a shit-eating grin. A seaweed headed bitch that pretended to be just as faux-elegant as Chikage with that inane indoor parasol usage? And now the two of them were going at it like cats in the heat, tossing thinly veiled threats at each other. Now this was some nice entertainment! He almost wanted to butt in, to see if ‘Shubby’ was capable of perma-kill as well, but ultimately, he didn’t want to interrupt her engagement with Chikage. It was nice to see the normally unflappable Youkai Junction boss under some stress, after all.

Walking up to the board and scanning through the missions available, Rui-Ling scratched his chin at the options. There was the ‘Efreet’, who apparently was already present, so it was definitely a waste of time. Werewolf hunting was his specialty, of course, but if it wasn’t vulnerable to silver, he didn’t want to bother. And detective work? Really? Leave interracial relationships to the pros. That legendary weapon of legendary powers though…how tempting.

Then there was your usual smattering of rogue Chasers, hostage situations, gangs being bothers, ghost ships, and of course a rank SSS mission that Rui-Ling didn’t want to do, simply because even he’d get bored of dying thousands of times after a while.

He scratched his chin again, mulling over his options, before finally shrugging. As an immortal, it was his duty to guide the younger whippersnappers and prevent them from pulling off stupid shit, after all. If the orcs and elves get into a fight, they’d probably cause trouble to everyone else and drown the mission board with low-rank requests. Guess I’ll pick up after their trash, he thought glumly, before tearing off the paper, folding it into a paper airplane, and tossing it towards the vampire maid.

“I’ll take the…”

It was then that Rui-Ling saw the smart, rational, blue-haired eyepatch kid state his interest in the ghost ship mission. Right, that was one of the few Chasers who were actually reasonable! Such an opportunity most definitely shouldn't be wasted!

“Nevermind that,” he corrected, picking up the sloppily tossed mission-airplane and pinning it back onto the board. “Don’t know your name, but hey, I’m Rui-Ling,” he said, walking up by the taller man, “Mind if I join in on that mission? If it’s ghosts, I’m pretty good at handling them.”

After all, grabbing the intangible was what his silver arm did.

Yuudai

@KoL
Yuudai simply smiled away happily as she was thanked by her big sister, of course she took note of the cybernetic girls over zealous actions against the simply moth youkai but chose to ignore it as she took a nice gulp of her cold ice peach tea. However she was suddenly snapped to attention when Reiko called her by her full name, her eyes tracing the room as she spoke as to catch what her sister was worried about.

"Efreet is here? Heh, seems like he made our job a lot easier by finding us. I didn't fancy going out and searching tonight anyway, so who is it?" Though she looked confident for a moment her confidence was shattered a little when her sister mentioned 'something that shouldn't even exist' and the women with the black parasol. She could feel it, like a beast she knew when she was out of her league against a enemy and had to flee, and this women gave off all those types of signels...

"Don't worry, I may be a oni but I ent dumb enough to fight a battle that I will surely loose." That was pretty big for Yuudai to say, as she commonly would bring herself to the brink of death for a fight, and there were few people she knew she would lose against. "However, what do we do about Efreet? With all these powerful people around should we take action now? If we wait we may lose our chance." Another gulp of tea cleared up her dry throat, awaiting her sisters orders on what to do.

Eiko sighed feeling a bit thankful that nothing was wrong with Shiina, she enjoyed the soft smile that the Shiina delivered to her, and mentally wiped some sweat from her brow, she let go of vampire as the moth jumped in between both of them, Eiko fought the urge to punch the moth boy in the face once again but this time to blow him up but didn't want to risk hurting Shiina noticing that she just ruined her boss's costume trying to save her from the moth boy.

When he said don't be jealous and he'd warm her too along with the other cold ones Eiko stared at the creature for a second before glaring at him." You perverted moth thing, Shiina and some of the others don't need to be warmed by what ever it is you do, stay away from them or the next time I'll feed you to a pack of bats or rocket punch you in an orifice and set my arm off to explode inside of you." She threatened the poor moth boy that she attacked earlier." If you need warmth so badly then you should get on the ceiling and look at the light bulbs." She suggested.

The cyborg woman didn't focus on what the other older yokai were doing and only wondered what was on the mission board a couple missions that had odd rewards that didn't interest Eiko, but she was willing to take the mission she wasn't going to stand around and be secretly stared at by Zane when he wasn't stealing glances of Eos and trying his best to touch her every chance he got, Eiko walked over to the android after grabbing one of the missions because she was tired of standing around, it was the mission about the rouge chaser, Eiko pulled the mission off the board and put it into her coat.

She took a quick glance at Zane before looking at the android." Eos, I got this mission here and I was wondering if you want to help me or try to help me with it, it's a mission about a rouge chaser, do you want to help me out with this ?" She asked the android, but she then noticed that Eos looked a little tied up at the moment and decided to just change her mind and go to her other co-worker, the water elemental." Tomori !" She called out the to small water elemental." You coming with me, you not doing much your gonna help me with my mission and we're gonna share the reward." Eiko explained to the water elemental girl.

Lucille’s eye twitched as she felt all curious gazes on her. How she urged and desired to slaughter them all, to maim their bodies and then shove the image of their corpses into Chikage’s smug little face. One in particular that she knew saw interest in her was a boy pretending to be an immortal.

For a brief moment, Lucille twirled her parasol and gave Rui-Ling a bored look before turning away. She didn’t see the point in wasting her time and effort on an idiot like him. Besides, if he took just a few steps closer to her he’d find that petty immortality of his draining away almost instantly. Unless he wanted to be hung from the Dangeki’s front sign by his own innards and stay dead, he’d best mind his own damn business.

Of course, if she knew that pain fazed him not, then she’d devote herself to denying him that which he craved. Oh the fun she could have with keeping him alive for her own amusement. After all, what use was a plaything and stress reliever if it broke too easily? All these thoughts and many more like them passed through her mind before Lucille turned back to Chikage.

Yes, this “anomaly” was in an extremely cranky mood lately and frankly wanted to eat everyone currently present. But she didn’t, only knowing that it would leave her with yet another eternity of Chikage’s existence. Seeing as the shadowy lady was taking her sweet ass time in answering her, Lucille got bored once more and walked forward.

“I’ll just be taking this then since you’re having one of your moments,” she said, snatching the parasol held in Chikage’s hand and heading for the front door with a spin of her heels.

Shiina kept an eye on her for all this time, not liking the sense of dread Lucille always brought about with her. Eventually though, the vampire tore her gaze away from the parasol carrying girl to focus back on the questions aimed her way.

Smiling at Kazuki politely, she said, “Certainly young master Kazuki. As it says in the description, no harm is being done by the mysterious ship so far. If anything, the most complaint we’ve gotten are people who say it blocks the moonlight since it only appears at midnight. As cliché as that sounds, it’s taken some time to gather all these reports and we’ve pinpointed the location to be a few miles away from the city in the human realm.”

Mia and the Rook

"Ah! Sheri-Er, I mean, Miss Sheriden!" Mia had known the undead woman for a while now, although she personally felt that they could have met on better terms. Perhaps without the Rook throwing Sheriden's car at the nearest monster. With Sheriden in it. "Werewolf, huh? I doubt it'll be much trouble for the Rook. Being made of metal does provide a few immunities to those sorts of curses." She blinked, nodded, then rearranged her priorities and turned back to Shiina. "Miss Shiina, I'll take the, ah, Rules of Nature. And I wanted to put in that I'm willing to support for the Black Goat mission. When I finish this one."

As for Zane's inquires at the giant robot, it didn't even flinch as he made his badly veiled threats, instead preferring to watch opponents that would actually provide it trouble. After a few seconds, it came to an even better conclusion to show its disdain. The Rook's head didn't make a sound as it turned slightly, metal 'lips' slightly parted and the shining steel blades that it used as teeth gleaming in the light given off by the storefront. A moment passed in perfect serenity, the fore-arm mounted heat-blades still hissing in the evening air. Then the giant robot spat.

A trickle of pure, honest-to-goodness AB negative blood squirted out from the depths of the metal creature's head, splashing with unerring accuracy toward the top of Zane's head. It's business with the pskyer finished, the head returned to the standby position of watching the powerful aberration Lucille, making certain to note any movements for a sign of weakness.

Kazuki

The one-eyed doctor turned his gaze to Rui-Ling. While not all too familiar with the "boy", he had already attained some information on the immortal. For one his physiology was perfectly that of a human's. He didn't have microscopic vision but has a good theory that his cells are kept from mutating by the divine power he has, which prevents him from physically aging. But that's only just a theory. His powers, on the other hand, were more of a mystery. Kazuki was yet to see him in combat, though judging by his body it was unlikely that Rui-Ling was the type to partake in melee fighting. "Doctor Kazuki Hashimoto," he introduced, giving a polite bow as he did so. "And I am glad you wish to join me. I have no means of handling ghosts myself, but I believe I can take care of the ship itself to make up for it."

His eye turned to Shiina now. The vampire girl was always very useful. Granted she didn't have every detail this time but that didn't detract from the information she did provide. "Thank you. Now we know where to look for it." Kazuki stepped back towards the counter, closing the open briefcase and holding it at his side. "Rui-Ling, my car is parked a few blocks away. We can take that to find the ghost ship but I'm afraid we will have to figure out a way to board it once we arrive at the scene." Kazu briefly wondered whether or not his partner had some kind of hidden ability to fly, but figured it was irrelevant right now. Should there be no way for them to get on the floating ship then Kazu knew that he could bring it down to the ground. Then again doing that may compromise whatever secrets it may hold, so that would have to be a last ditch effort. "I will begin heading to the car, if you don't mind joining me."

Kazu gave a polite wave to Shiina as he approached the exit, only stopping to watch Lucille make off with Chikage's parasol. While both of those Youkai were dangerous and their direct conflict had the possible need of major intervention, at least they were taking it outside. He tried his best to ignore them, so as not to draw attention to himself more than anything, as he left the cafe and began walking down the street. If Rui-Ling decided to wait at the Dangeki Cafe for Kazu to pick him up, it did not matter. It would still ultimately be faster than the two having to walk the entire way to the ghost ship. The walk was only a few minutes to the car park anyways so Kazu assumed the immortal would take the convenient route. He did remain silent until they were both in the car. It was a nice sedan, definitely one of the recent year models, but it wasn't overly luxurious. An accurate representation of Kazuki's financial situation, being that he was far from poor but he was not filthy rich. "So as to avoid any surprises," Kazuki began speaking as he drove down the road at exactly the speed limit. "The reason I was recruited as a Chaser is because of my power to generate and control electricity. Do not worry, my control is not weak and you will be at no risk of harm in my presence."
