It's a good thing President Trump has already said he's going to put massive funding into NASA specifically to create a new deep space program so we can begin exploring other planets.

Looks like you should be praying to Trump if you want us to boldly go somewhere we've never been before.

@j8cob As hype as I can get about futuristic stuff, it's still very likely climate change will ruin the Earth before we find anything worthwhile in space. Besides, why can't we just do both? It's not like they're mutually exclusive, heck - they both serve the betterment and long-term survival of humanity. Which is as much of an 'ultimate goal' as it can get, isn't it?

Climate change is a multifaceted force that we have little control over. For the vast majority of the Earth's existence, the climate has been determined more by the activity of the sun than of the organisms or geological processes of the planet. To say that humanity is the cause of climate change is absurd and ignorant of the facts. I would be more concerned with growing pollutants from developing nations rather than small variations in the climate and temperature of the earth.

Guys, watch the language/terminology getting used in here -- I'm getting complaints and I don't want to have to start babysitting this thread.

Mars is the only thing any of us will see people going to in our lifetimes, I think.

Hate to say it, but we're living in a time before deep space exploration is possible. I mean, we just had the very first man made object leave our solar system three years ago, and it was launched in 1977. The closest star to our solar system is roughly 4.3 light years away, and we definitely don't have anything capable of approaching speeds anywhere close to that.

Whereas I'll agree with you the issue isn't as simple as Trump or no Trump, the support for your position really isn't there beyond partisan attempts at deflection.

Except this time, the victor is a reality TV star rather than someone actually qualified to hold office - among being a climate change denier, rapist and pedophile who filed for bankruptcy six times, advocates for torture and plans to break so many human rights... (And already has.)

I think this time the alarm and sorrow is more than just hyperbole. Don't you think?

I find that this made your earlier point about 'shoving it in the face of every alt righter' rather stupid.

Like yeah he's incapable, and guess what, an incapable reality star somehow ended up winning from a career-politician. How's that feel? Some idiot managed to beat a career-politician who used every possible weapon in her arsenal to (sometimes rightly, sometimes falsely) slander this idiot and he still came out on top.

If anything that makes the democratic party/Hillary Clinton/democrat voters the fool.

*CRACKS KNUCKLES* Time for me to whine about my own fucking stupid fuck ups!

I'm annoyed at myself for letting a really amazing guy just pass me by because I didn't have the balls to ask him out and I waited and waited like a fool ... I know I can be independent and outspoken, no wonder he was probably a bit intimidated when it came to "the question" ...

To make it worse, I imagine he's totally forgotten I've existed by now and he told one of my friends he had a crush on me when we were in high school ... Should have just asked him, to hell with the consequences but now I'M being a pussy ... I know we have great chemistry as friends together and would probably be great dating one another but now its just too late and Im in a whole other city and actually feeling very lonely sometimes ... Everyone I know is coupled off and I had a perfect opportunity to hang onto a really awesome friend and now I don't know if he ever thinks twice about me. We wouldn't have to be a couple but I just wish we still talked and hung out ...

I hate feminists who treat MRA like they're a joke and offensive. MRA have every right to be taken seriously as they do and they as free American should be allowed to have a voice.

How? For trying to retake it's borders? For working against an establishment of media and politicians who have laughed at it and divided it for years? For stopping the destruction of our culture?

The real question here is how much do Carbon Dioxide levels actually effect the environment in relation to other aspects of climate.
