As the light washed over him, no doubt ending the conversation between Aion and the blonde haired woman, the mutant's left eye snapped shut. He whirled around, his arm lighting up as he held his human arm up to block the harsh light. Why had he shut one eye?

It was his shooting eye. An old friend had taught him the trick, saying that it would be useful against enemies with flashbangs or flares, because after the light faded, his left eye would still be adjusted to the darkness and allow him to see through both. His right eye adjusted quickly to the light, and so, his arm lowered, the male's open eye locking onto what he believed was the source.

"...Diplomacy was never my strong suit." He answered, as he eyed the blade the other person carried. "Though, I doubt an unsheathed blade is needed."

His eyes then snapped to the side, where he could feel an output of magical energy. Ever since his..incident..he had developed somewhat of a sixth sense to the otherworldly energies. Wisps of darkness traveled upwards from his arm, as a reaction to the perceived threat. He would clench his demon fist, silently shaking himself from his suspicion.

However, he would go and check, at the least. He nodded his goodbye to the female and the male with the light, and depart from the two of them, walking towards where he had sensed the energy.

If the mage, Emlem, could sense the male, he would see that he was not gathering energy, prepping himself for a fight. He would be ready if an attack came his way, but he wouldn't provoke the being to fight.

...still John

From where we left off, our man John had come to a confrontation with three strange figures. Only two of them took heed of John's presence, and they were definitely disturbed by the brilliant light emitted by John's flashlight (or strange electronic cylindrical contraption, for any otherworldly roamers). Damn, his manners were terrible.

And he needed to do something about that. The two strangers did not even seem to notice John's call, due to the blinding light of John's flashlight artifact of illumination. The woman began to speak:

"Who goes there? Who demands parley when words even have not been stung?"

The man also had a few words of his own:

"...Diplomacy was never my strong suit. Though, I doubt an unsheathed blade is needed."

The light provided by John's tangible luminous device revealed more features of the man's body. He had a demonic arm, complete with spiky horns and an otherworldly purple aura. Somehow, his eyes had adjusted to the light, and he was eyeing John's blade. Wisps of darkness traveled upwards from the man's arm, and the man clenched his fist.

An imminent threat.

If a magician or monk was nearby, he/she would sense that the flow of ki in the atmosphere would begin to move towards John. His sword would begin to light up, radiating an unlikely shade of light blue. Using the ki, he would be enhancing his strength and endurance. Blue wisps of energy would levitate upwards, and his aura would grow unnecessarily more intimidating. His eye began to glow a shade of cyan.

"Hey kid, if you want a fight then you get-"

...

The man had already headed off into the darkness. This left John and the mysterious woman alone in the woods. Apparently, the man had no intention of attacking at all. John did have the talent to sense one's ominous aura, but he didn't even bother to use it.

"Wow. I need more sleep."

John then sheathed his sword in his poster tube uniquely-shaped scabbard and turned the flashlight away from the lady. Apparently, the light had highlighted her temptingly voluptuous bosom, but John was staring at the man's weird arm all along.

"Hey lady, I've got some advice for you. If you keep walking around in that outfit then I assure that the commoners are going to lust after you. You even might attract a couple of perverted thugs with the worst bodily intentions, who knows? Don't take it too personally."

...and he said something about an unsheathed blade being unnecessary. Damn, I need coffee.

John began to walk towards the tavern. Perhaps there were more weird guests?

Arin agreed to introduce himself to everyone who was currently at the tavern. "I'm Arin and if you want to know what I am, just ask." Though he was sure anyone nearby with a keen sense of smell could probably tell he was somewhat human but also something else.

Price wasn't sure if anyone nearby would hear him since he wasn't that close to tavern. "I'm Price and my friend here is Juno." He looked at the neko who was currently in cat form on his shoulder.

As usual when being introduced to people he didn't know, Juno was quite shy and it would take awhile for him think anything to anyone besides Price.

The demon hero heard everyone that was near or inside the tavern introduce themselves. He supposed he should do the same. "Viktor, the demon hero who fights crime and saves innocents." And hopefully, unlike the underworld he lived in long ago, they wouldn't tell him demons can't be heroes.

Red finally was done with the chaos. As he finish scanning everyone, his head plates moved in a oppressive position and yelled "What the absolute and utter hell is going on?! You organics are mentally ill!!!. He charged the guy with a sword drawn on him and ripped the sword away into the side of a tree.

She wasn't sure if the demon tainted boy running off was a good or a bad thing. It was rude, decidedly rude, but if rude was the worst he had to offer she'd consider that a blessing.

With a click of the reins the horse drawing the carriage fell into step behind John and the vardo wagon followed. Assallya pondered the boy because now that she could see him she recognized him as a very small, very human boy. To think he would be the one cautioning her on traveling safe.

"Excuse me young man," she said, "I am travelling to the inn myself. I plan on dancing there for a little coin, hence my attire. Lust is the intention. You could ride up here on the bench if you like. You're probably a better shot with the crossbow than I am anyways."

She could also add that some of her spells, particularly those of fascination and enthrallment worked a fair bit better with her attire.

"Where are you travelling young lad?"

So from where we had left off, John was left with the seductive elf-woman in the middle of the woods. John was not aiming his flashlight at the woman anymore, and she had began to open up.

"Excuse me young man," she said, "I am travelling to the inn myself. I plan on dancing there for a little coin, hence my attire. Lust is the intention. You could ride up here on the bench if you like. You're probably a better shot with the crossbow than I am anyways."

"Well, you're actually pretty near the tavern. All you have to do is go..."

"What the absolute and utter hell is going on?! You organics are mentally ill!!!"

The space mech (@Dealdric) had finally noticed John, and he took his presence a little too seriously. The mech was running right at him, and he was intent on disarming the young lad.

The problem with the robot was that it was a giant space mech.

Sure, you'd get to soak up tons of physical damage, but stealth wouldn't be your forte. The mech's movements were highly audible. To top all of that, John's instincts were almost infallible. He would sense the mech's movements from far away, and he responded to them by turning his head away from the woman and towards the mech's direction.

"...forwards. Happy travelling!"

Not long after, the mech appeared, his metallic body illuminated by the woman's gas lamp. John had anticipated the mech's arrival, so he had prepared for the onslaught. As soon as the mech rose its arms to strike, John had rolled away from the wagon, thus displacing himself by a few meters. With John out of the way, the mech would come face-to-face with the woman's vardo wagon, which had moved behind John during their short conversation. Sure, he had the combat protocols, but his heavy frame would have produced lots of momentum, thus making it nearly impossible to halt his movements. Therefore, the mech's arm would strike the wagon, and it might as well trip over it. John, on the other hand, would have already exited the rolling position, and would be running towards the tavern.

"Sorry 'bout that!"

The heavy footfalls were the only warning the elven woman received and she turned to see the large dark form hurtling towards her and the wagon. Even before it it entered the lamp's circle of radiance she spied it's three green eyes, arranged in a small triangle before it moved into the light where she saw it's odd curvature, the abyssal black sheen of metal highlighted in crimson, and it's strange head which resembled nothing more than a long cylinder with a cowled carapace surrounding it. The thing was huge, a good thirty hands tall if she was to say so using her eyes alone! It was the size of an ogre!

Clearly it was like nothing she had ever born witness to.

The thing slammed into the wagon. She wasn't sure if it was attacking or had merely extended it's arm to stop its own incredible momentum but the wagon creaked under the stress, the springs meant to take it over roots and mountainous terrain protesting as they never had before as the entire boxy frame tilted over almost forty five degrees, sending several small boxes and a few cushions that were unsecured hurtling down to the forest floor. Assallya barely held on, clamping down on the brass rail she used to shimmy up and down the side of the wagon to the bench atop it. Then the wagon settled, bouncing and righting itself.

Then the stupid nag that pulled the cart just turned its head backwards and put an eye to the happenings behind it. A fat lot of good that thing was. It had been walking along at a sedate pace and when the commotion occurred it had just stopped as if curious. Why couldn't the beast be more skittish!

"Myrkul's balls," Assallya thought to herself in shock and then turned her attention to stopping the behemoth.

Her black stained lips began uttering a short incantation, her fingers twisted in the air making fine loops and swirls. She needed the thing to stop and relax. Maybe she could talk to it. In either event, a simple spell of paralysis would work well. It wouldn't be able to speak but it would be able to hear and listen. She could always attempt to charm the figure later if it proved utterly unreasonable but she preferred it when people served her of their own free will. Who knew, this armoured being was powerful. They could be of great benefit to one another.

"Never bring a weapon to me organic! You'll get me riled up, and then we have an issue" he said stopping himself from destroying much. He walked in the tavern with not so much as a word a scanned everything. When he finished, he went towards a tree a drained it, melting it to a blue static goo in the process.

Assallya wasn't sure what to make of the armoured ogre, nor did she understand its strange reference. She hadn't touched a weapon. The poor thing was lost and confused. It also apparently was gone, moving off in its lumbering fashion off down the forest road.

Generally, Assallya was starting to wonder just what sort of forest was this? First there was a boy with a demon arm, then another boy with his strange magical glowing sword, light tube and general propensity for rudeness. Actually, come to think of it, the other one was rather rude too. What was it with human children these days? She was starting to see what the elves, as prissy and arrogant as they were, were talking about.

In any event, she was a bit stressed. What was it with this place? What was that armoured ogre thing? Oh what she wouldn't do for a toke from her hookah right now. Unfortunately that likely wouldn't be a good idea, even locked in the confines of her wagon. There was just something about this place that seemed off.

She fluffed the cushions on her bench and leaned back. Just taking a moment to relax before continuing. This inn had better be worth it.

Rayne had been wandering the forst for a couple hours aimlessly, bored out of her mind. She continued to walking, looking in the distance at what seemed like a tavern. She then decided to check it out as she through her hood over her head and made her way to the tavern. Coming out of the woods she notices a few people just outside conversating. She chooses to pay them no mind as she leans against the building.

Of course at that moment a little bat flies down from the crevice if the roof after noticing RAyne, she responded by letting the little bat land on her fangers as she holds them out for it.

Joey would've introduced himself as well if it weren't the full moon in the sky. As usual, he transformed into a solid black werewolf with golden eyes. This meant he lost the ability to talk for a bit, but he could write in the dirt with a single claw. Joey. Though he wasn't sure if anyone in his group would bother to read that.

They then crawl over to Joey and sit down next them and gently raises their right left hand as if to pet then before freezing and pulling their hand back into their lap not knowing of it would be safe to do so. They calmly looked around their hands in their lap with their pain bursh resting across it.

There appeared to be some kind of commotion just out his sight, he could see people moving about outside the tavern, but the lights and screaming was coming from the other side of it.
He could feel Lemrone coursing through the protection spell, but the distraction wouldn't last long, he had to find a way to focus. If he didn't have complete control when any of the others, whoever they were, found him, it would be bad.

Maybe, maybe I could occupy him long enough, maybe... Enormel couldn't finish the thought as he felt a shift in the spell, something was close. Looking up he could see a young man with a demonic arm slowly approach him through the forest.

-Don't think I've seen such energy before. Hehehe hehe give me Control!

A lance of pain shot through the mage, making him stagger. The spell around him crackled, sparks of dark energy illuminating the sphere.

-Stay back! Enormel said. Holding a palm out towards Aion. He had to distract Lemrone, something, something close.

It seemed he was wrong. Aion, as he had approached, could see that the one before him was having an inner battle, and that had been the reason for the spell. Aion lightly clapped his hands together, placing them against the ground.

A runed circle blazed to life beneath his palms, and a small flare of energy arced off of it, dark blue in color. If Emlem knew what Transmutation was, and what it required, he would see that Aion was missing a key component...not because he forgot it, but because the youth did not need to draw circles at all.

The ground, in a twenty five foot radius around them, began to rise. It would shield Emlem and Aion from outside sources, unless someone broke through the wall or leapt over the twelve foot tall construction. The wall itself was around 5 or so feet thick, so that it wasn't just a push to knock down.

"Strengthen your spell, or allow me to try and help. I have closed us off to prevent others from seeing."

It looked as if this person wanted to pet him, but then retrained themselves. Joey considered this as he looked from side to side before lowering his head to allow them to pet. The only reason he didn't want anyone witnessing this is cause it would embarrass him.

Morgana- Inside the Tavern

Unbeknownst to likely most of the people on the ground floor, laying on a support beam by the ceiling was a black cat, his blue eyes looking down at the lively bunch that's greeting each other below, noticing one of the ones outside then turning into a wolf, much to the cat's natural dismay...Wait, no, it shouldn't be natural for him to hate wolves. He's a man, and dogs are man's best friend. Anyways, the one the wolf's...communicating with, also seemed interesting, particularly that gem on the back of their neck. ...Are they some kind of advanced Treasure Demon? ...Or maybe it's just the kind of treasure demons one finds here. ...Since, looking up at the moon, he contemplates how he doesn't even know what "here" is.

It felt like only yesterday that he was back in Shibuya, in a more modern time than right now. He was driving the Phantom Thieves, his many students, through the pits of Mementos, the collective distortion of the city's inhabitants, manifested within the Shibuya Underground. If they weren't trying to dive deeper and deeper down through its depths, they were hunting and changing the hearts of jerks and criminals from there.

The Phantom thieves went down to do the latter when they came across an unusual portal within one of its many floors. Portals in Mementos are nothing new to the Phantom Thieves, as they are akin to doorways to their targets' areas, specific and exclusively for them. But all of them were red... This one was blue.

Deciding to enter into it, regardless, as it may just be a special target for all they knew, Morgana jumped into the portal...and everyone but Morgana was thrown out.

Morgana was unsure as to why he was the only one who landed in this distant past time, where he even was, or why he's the only one who did. All that's known is that he's stuck in this time, with no way of going back, and found his way to the Tavern. By the looks of it, he was one of the first ones to find it out of the bunch of misfits that kept coming. With nothing else to do, Morgana jumped up to the ceiling support beam to rest and watch the others come in.

------------------------------

Nagito- Forest Near Tavern

"Wow, Looks like Arin's gained quite a number of new allies in there. ...Rather unique ones might I add, and more seems to keep coming. Really brings a tear to my eye to see so many talented individuals coming together like this." Said the white haired boy as he smiled, watching what was going on in the tavern through the scope of some binoculars, the feint wind blowing on him, moving the bottom part of his green coat. Nagito was sitting on a branch of a tree by the tavern as he did this, the same tree that Hunter and his shadowsaur was hiding behind. He then looked down towards the both of them.

"...I know you designed it against Arin, but was it really a good idea to bring that shadowsaur along for this recon? Don't get me wrong, he's probably great and all against Arin, but...he sticks out like a sore thumb." Nagito then said to Hunter. It was around that time that the ground shook, and a giant ring cylinder made by Aion appeared.

"Looks like we got lucky. The Shadowsaur might stick out, but THAT will probably stick out more. So, what's the plan?" Nagito asked Hunter with genuine relief and happiness, something eerie in the wake of what's being talked about.

------------------------------

Johnathan Falcon- Within Golden's Lair

Somewhere in Golden's lair sat Johnathan Falcon, the cloaked, masked figure meditating...upside down on the ceiling. For most, this would be considered unbelievable, remarkable even, but for anyone like Golden who knows a damn thing about him, this is actually something very common and easy to do. Somehow, without anything that could be associated as a camera of some kind, John could see what was going on both inside and outside of this building in the middle of nowhere...

"...It seems your nemesis has a number of newfound friends. There are potential threats both inside the facility, and all around the parameter. To go after him right now is...unwise. Perhaps an indirect plan is in order, boss..." Johnathan said to Golden telepathically.

------------------------------

Lord Metallix- Forest near the Tavern

Just as there exists multiple universes in the grand scheme of reality, so too are there many parallels connected to each one, divided by a razor thin line of time. This is the phenomena known to some as a multiple worlds theory, or simply the multiverse theory, the idea that there are multiple universes that are born and branch off from a single prime universe that started it all. A single fork in anyone's road, a single choice they make will instantly create a new timeline, and thus a new universe is born through differentiating from the original. Because of this, a single universe may have near-infinite parallel universes branching off of it with each and every choice made by each and every person.

Sonic and Metal Sonic's world is one of these prime universes, and Sonic's time travelling, at least for the little planet's futures, is an example of this as he and his counterpart were then transported to where they are now. Their world too has branched off into many parallel variants. Some similar with minuscule differences, some being a completely different reality to the one the two may have been used to.

There are many way to travel through these universes, but the one "he" chose was a personal favorite: The Cosmic highway, a web of cosmic energy that acts as roads connecting the many parallels of Sonic's world together. It does not extend beyond the parallels of this mobian world however, as a cloaked figure walking the highway noticed when he looks at a device in its hand, and noticing two energy signals being blasted beyond the device's range. Meaning they weren't just blasted to another time, but to a whole other universe, a whole other dimension from this one.

Interested, the cloaked figure flew off the cosmic path, a blaze of rocket flames coming out from behind it, and attempted to go beyond the space of this dimension. As he flew through the vast nothingness that lies beyond the highway, he noticed a blue light, spotting a circle of blue energy in the distance, the radar seeming to indicate that the two hedgehogs went in the direction of it. Sonic and Metal Sonic must have REALLY overcharged the time stone. The residual energy of it seemed to have caused them to break open a hole in the space-time continuum, creating a portal to another dimension. Now even more interested than before, the cloaked figure stepped through it.

---

He deactivated the rocket thruster on his back as he passed through the portal, quickly landing at his feet. Looking at him from a distance, he was appear as very short individual, a long black cloak completely covering his body, keeping it from sight, the only thing coming from it being a red eye glowing through the darkness of his hood. He looked around at his surroundings, apparently he was in a forest, by an olden tavern right in the middle of it. Strangely, he can't seem to detect Sonic or Metal Sonic even when he knows he went through the same portal that they did...Perhaps the destination changes somewhat? Or maybe they've already moved away from the spot. Either way, it's clear he'll gain nothing by standing here, and so he attempted to leave to try and find them, when all of a sudden, he detected something close by, magic as it seemed. Then he could feel the ground shake as a giant cylinder of stone broke through the forest and rose up. Upon scanning this, he detected that only a ring around a hollowed center was lifted upwards.

"...An alchemist, here? ...Interesting." The robot thought, putting his hand against his chin like a normal thinking man would, pondering about this. While there were no actual practitioners of it, the robot has most certainly heard of the theory of Alchemy. In fact the general concept of Alchemy is the general inspiration for the roboticizer back home: To turn one thing into another, to turn flesh into metal in that case. IF there was truly an actual Alchemist around here, then learning about him could help improve the effectiveness of Robotnik's roboticizer. Curious in that respect, he activated the rocket thruster on his back and jumped up high above the trees, landing on the 5 foot thick ring wall and staring down at the center. The walls made it very dark to see down 20 feet in the dead of night, but for the robot, this wasn't a problem as he eyes glowed red. Zooming in, he spotted the two men that were in there. However, he said nothing, did nothing, simply watching what would happen inside between these two.

Blake had no idea how long he had been driving for. All he knew was that he had somehow driven his way into a dark forest which was not at all familiar to him. What a day it had been, to suddenly discover what his sister had been hiding the whole time. Their parents might even be dead by now, and him? He didn't even know where he was going. He shifted his eyes to what he had left to protect - his younger brother, curled up in the passenger seat beside him.

At a glance, the child appeared serene in his sleep, but one would know better once they noticed the tear stains that ran down his face. That whole incident with Azzurra, or Rossa, back home would have been traumatizing enough for any kid. Sky needed his rest. It was probably a good thing that he was asleep, for the forest would have frightened him for sure. Blake switched his focus back onto the path, thinking of how the atmosphere of the drab, dark forest perfectly echoed his sentiments. He was sufficiently lost in his thoughts to almost miss a red wagon he had driven past. @Assallya

They were then interrupted slightly further up when his black saloon suddenly stopped running. His eyes immediately darted to his fuel gauge, which he had forgotten to check, considering all other worries that had been on his mind. The gauge read 'Empty'. Well, that had to happen at some point, though, it was just inconvenient that it had to be before they made it out of the forest. Sky stirred awake just as Blake let out a deep sigh of frustration.

"Hmm... where are we?" The boy mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes.

"I don't know," the elder replied. "But there's no way we can go on in here."

"Huh? Why did we stop?"

"The car's out of fuel, Sky."

"You can fix it, right? You always do."

"Not this time. Not without a supply of gas."

"But-"

"Just because I'm the older brother, doesn't mean I can do everything. I'm sorry Sky, but we're going to have to continue on foot."

Sky looked around and shuddered slightly as he climbed out of the car. "Th- This place is scary..."

Blake quickly went around the vehicle to his brother and put a comforting hand on his back. "Just stay close to me, alright?"

The teen wanted to add a 'You'll be safe.', but he dared not, no matter how badly he wanted to, or how badly he wanted that statement to be true. In their situation he unfortunately could promise Sky nothing. Like he said before, older brothers could not do everything.

Hydro watches Joey as he looks around before they lower their head to let them pet him, which causes them to smile and gently him between the ears around to the end of their neck. They then take their paint brush and summons wooden beams in the hole in the roof to fix it. They look around in the dark room at everyone monetarily bedore summoning multiple lamps around the building.

Hunter nodded to his first sentence and listened to the second one. "I know he sticks out, but doesn't look like many people have noticed him yet. The plan is to get Arin all alone and once that happens, I'll sick Shadowsaur on him in hopes of finally being able to defeat him. It would need to be a one on one battle between the two for this to work." He explained to Nagito.

@The Jest

Golden looked over at his recently built machines. "If you look over there, I spent a lot of time creating those metallic werewolves since the whole turning humans to mindless werewolves thing ended up being useless." He grinned as walked over to them. "They still need some work, but with a little more programming and getting used to my voice. They should follow my commands and see 'Wolfy' as their enemy." He looked over at Johnathan as he continued. "And once they're ready, Joey will hopefully be by himself at that time and then we'll send all these machines his way."

@The1Rolling1Boy
Joey watches as Hydro summons stuff with their paint brush. He didn't have any comments about it though. Just then, something hit him in the side causing him to jump and whip around in response. Seeing nothing, he looked over his shoulder at Hydro giving him a 'Did you see that?' look. He didn't know whether they would follow him or not, but he wanted find out who or what dared to smack him in the side like that.

The crimson painted vardo wagon had resumed its journey, moving down the beaten path, shocks occasionally squeaking in complaint as they hit the odd root or well worn rut. At one point a strange magical carriage careened past at a horrible speed that would be sure to unshoe the horses, if they didn't trip and break a leg. It was the strange twin red lights at the rear though that seemed strange to her. So many things of this forest seemed so strange this night.

That was when, off in distance she spied what appeared to be lightning, a great deal of it stirring through the trees ahead and was followed by nothing. The elven woman didn't know what to make of it but little surprised her right now. Clucking the old horse forwards she kept her keen elven eyes fixated on the area she spied the lightning. There, some twenty paces off the road lay a form, pale and naked, lying near the shattered remnants of a tree, a tree that had been neatly shorn in twain as if by the sharpest of barber's blade. It was almost vorpal!

This was too rich, finding a nubile, naked, perfect specimen of a man out in the middle of nowhere. This had to be a trap and he the bait. Nobody was this lucky. She cast a spell, one to determine the existence of magics. She was surprised by the result. It was a strange form of magic, one that altered the passage of time and well beyond her own ability and not in any of her books. Was he a sorcerer of some sort? Had his spell gone wrong leaving him in such a state?

Slipping down the side of the wagon her bare feet quickly carried her across across the grass and fallen leaves and brought her before the fallen form. He looked nord, and what a perfect specimen of man he was and why he was naked was beyond her kenn. His arms were thicker than her thighs and he easily weighed three times her weight if he weighed a stone! Sandy blonde tresses, shorn close and perfectly cut sat his crown but he seemed unnaturally still. She stared into his deep brown staring, unblinking eyes with her own sapphire blue eyes and worried that he might be dead.

Carefully she knelt, her fingers slipping up and down his naked body until she found a small wound. Surely so small a wound could not have felled such a magnificent warrior as this? Perhaps it had something to do with the magic? She examined the minute, almost imperceptible wound and discovered- metal? He had metal bones? Perhaps he was no man at all but a golem? Yes, an advanced golem, one of both flesh and iron. It must come from the far future where magic and alchemy was much more advanced. What did she know of golems? Well, iron golems absorbed electricity and used it to both heal themselves and to speed themselves in battle. Perhaps he could do the same?

"I will save you my beautiful man golem," she whispered into his ear, "and together we shall rule a great and powerful land."

Her black painted lips brushed his as she kissed him. She had a spell that would suffice. She usually used it to assassinate someone unsuspecting or as a last means of defense. Holding up her hand, her many bracelets clinking she uttered a short chant barely more than a word really, and concentrated. Within a fraction of a second her hands was aglow with brilliant blue arcs of electricity, enough to slay an unsuspecting man where he stood, and pressed it gently to the fallen golem's chest.
