I was always one of the easier targets as I was largely different in size from my classmates (6ft, stocky shoulders, etc. would've been perfect for a football player if I chose to go that route), provided I didn't catch the ball. One of my friends would use me as a shield because he was so scrawny. He used to joke around that I was his bodyguard in high school considering he was a twig while I was the brawny guy who took weight lifting for PE class.

When a lot of people first meet me they think I'm the dumb-intimidating type. I'm not exactly sure why. I'm athletic, but usually I wear long sleeves or sweatshirts. I don't think I come off as aggressive or mean. There's been many that have told me that initially they were scared to talk to me, because they thought I'd go off and/or hit them. It's absolutely mindboggling.

I can kind of get the dumb angle. I don't read much (dyslexia is a bitch. oddly enough, some also refuse to believe I have it), only try hard in my studies when it's necessary (professors call me out on this often), and I guess all of these combined with my personality leads to assumptions.

I once maintained friendships with several people of the above person's caliber and knew them to be intellectuals. You don't assume on your own thoughts.

Whenever I think about my problems the first thing that comes to my mind is that I'm too far gone and that I can't help myself and that I should simply kill myself. Then the feeling dissipates as I've already made up my mind about not doing that. Then I think of my potential. I think about what I could accomplish, and what I want in life. And then I'm reminded of my circumstance and problems and inability to change and start thinking that I should kill myself. And so on until I get distracted by something else.

That was in fact online, and not from any real world interaction. My gender is rather clear to those who meet me beyond the computer screen :p

Happy story, then. The only times I've made a semi-serious effort to appear female is on sites where there would be a full inbox of "hey wan sum fuk" in the morning, apparently from excessively desperate males.

Fun times, trolling the living shit out of them. Some even got to the grand finale.
