Shiro awoke to the sound of a loud, ringing bell in his chamber. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, sitting up in his bed. He was on a motor yacht- commissioned by the Academy to bring students to the actual building. It had been a long 2 days for the future spy. He had flown from Tokyo to Omsk, and then from that city to [Redacted], England, where he then boarded the boat to take him to the Academy. The boat, unlike the flight, was enjoyable, but Shiro was excited at the prospect of arriving to the Academy. He immediately got dressed, and deciding first impressions were important, put on a black, Zegna two-piece suit, sleek and elegant, perfect for the occasion.

Shiro emerged from the boat a moment later, and was surprised to see how medieval the campus was. Massive stone buildings, reminding Shiro of the castles of the Middle ages, stood upon the island. Shiro saw several other boats pulling up on the shore of the Academy as well, presumably other students that he would be with for the next few years. He might have stopped to say hello (he might not have) but a security guard standing in all black quickly ushered him down the path, pointing him towards the largest castle standing on the island. Shiro shrugged and continued his walk. The ornate samurai blade hung at his hip, and a small backpack sagged from his left shoulder. The rest of his luggage would be delivered after orientation, which was where Shiro was headed to.

He entered the large building to find a large ballroom. This room, unlike the more drab stone exterior, was lively and bright- the ceiling was covered with large golden arches, and the floor and walls were a bright shade of yellow. Several other students were lingering in the room, about 50 in total. Behind a podium was a tall, stately older man, with shiny silver hair and a pinstriped suit as well. This was Emery Wolfe, the well-known headmaster of S.P.I.G.A. A former spy himself, he retired from fieldwork to join S.P.I.G.A., where he maintains a wide network of connections. The older man ran a hand through his hair, before coughing into the microphone several times to get everybody’s attention.

“Greetings returning students, and welcome new ones. We look forward to taking you all under our wings again for another year and teaching you everything there is to know about the spy business. For those who have been living under a rock, my name is Professor Wolfe, and I run this prestiged academy. I’m going to have to ask the upperclassmen to hold on for a bit while I address the newer students.”

Shiro heard several groans in the crowd, presumably from the upperclassmen.

“You are all about to be thrusted into a new experience. You may or may not have received training, but regardless, this academy will challenge you in ways you have never been challenged before. You will be dropped into the real world and forced to improvise and fend for yourself. Your lives will be put on the line on occasion. We have lost students in the past who were unprepared for lied ahead of them. Thus is the life of a spy, always struggling to survive and adapt in new situations. Do not be discouraged, however. You will be given all the tools you need to survive in the field. If you truly have the heart of a spy within you, you have nothing to fear. And if not, well...I guess you’ll have to fear and push through.”

The older man coughed again. “With that out of the way, I’d like to get you all to your dorms. Take the rest of the day, get accustomed to your peers, for you will be putting your lives in their hands several times over the next 4 years. Get rested, and I will be seeing you all tomorrow for class.” With that, the man gave a small, informal bow and walked away from the podium. A security guard stepped up.

“Freshman class dorm rooms. You will be located in the Whitley Building. Exit the main building, make a right, and then a left. It should be right there. No excessive horseplay or vandalism of the academy property, please. Do not leave the building after 10pm. You may depart.”

After a moment to take in all these new thoughts at once, Shiro exited the main building at followed the guard’s instructions. One right and a left later, Shiro found the dorms, a rather large building not far at all from the main one. It would certainly make getting to class easier. Shiro pushed open the heavy wooden door to enter the area, and was surprised to find a very modern living space. Long white couches lined the wall, and a fireplace with a television sat propped opposite the couch. A spiraling glass staircase rose up to the second floor. Shiro gently ascended the stairs, and looked out the top, where he saw a hallway lined with doors, with each person’s last name plastered onto it. Shiro returned back to ground level and crashed in the couch. Somehow (aka plot power) he had manage to arrive before everybody else. He tilted his head back, his sword laying loosely at his leg, and took a few deep breaths to take in the day and recover from the travel here.

Garrett made his way into the building shortly after Shiro settled in. He pushed the door open with a shoulder, wheeling a suitcase behind him, and a dufflebag worn on his shoulders. He looked tired, though not quite as tired as Shiro. His hair was messy, and clothes mirrored this. Clearly he hadn't bothered keeping a pristine exterior during his travels, but he still carried it well. Made him seem well at ease. Even if he felt anything but. He glanced over towards the couches, and noticed Shiro sitting there. He offered a nod, and a muttered, "Hey-ya..."

He pushed on towards the stairs, collapsing the extending handle on his suitcase, and picking the thing up to carry it up the stairs. "Lemme set my stuff in my room. Back in a flash..."

Course from the look of him, Garrett wasn't even sure Shiro knew how to speak English. He probably did, given the location of the school, but Garrett hadn't dealt much with folks from other countries. Garrett didn't give it too much thought, however. He was too focused on finding the room with his name on it. When he did find it, he pushed the door open, and pulled his bags inside, and deposited them near his bed. His Dufflebag dropped on top of his bed, and he immediately kicked his shoes off. After nearly a day of wearing them, Garrett figured it was only a matter of time before a biohazard team was sent to his room, but they had to come off sooner or later. He rooted around in his suitcase for a new pair of socks, and pulled them on. He rolled the sleeves of his button-up back to just below his elbows, and ran a hand through his hair to attempt to smooth it down. With that, he turned and left the room, heading back downstairs. He approached the Asian teen seated on the couch and said, "Sorry bout--bout that. Heavy bag. I'm Garrett."

"Diyos ko... (Oh my god...)"

Those were the only words Sunny was capable of speaking out when she saw the academy. No, it looked to her like it flew straight out of a Disney story. She always thought that places like this can only be seen in fairytales and movies, but seeing something such as this in person really made Sunny more excited for her time in studying at the academy. She also had a feeling of fear, knowing that this place means serious business and everybody here is determined to become better at their craft, resulting in unwanted and unnecessary competition among them.

She slapped her face slightly. It doesn't matter if she's afraid or not. She came here because the Lakambini believes in her and she has no plans of letting her family down. She took a deep breath and walked towards the building, pulling her suitcase along and shouldering her bag.

Upon entering, Sunny found out there are two guys already sitting in the couch. She waved at them enthusiastically while smiling serenely. "Hey guys! Let me bring my things at my room first." She carried her luggage upstairs and proceeded to find her room. When she did, she settled her suitcase and bag at the floor beside her bed. She looked at the mirror to make sure her hair braided into a waterfall twist still looks okay along with her white long-sleeved, knee-length boho dress and her brass-colored gladiators. Contented with her look, she went downstairs to talk with her two classmates.

Sunny approached the two guys. One seems very foreign while the one sitting on the couch looks Japanese. And cute too, Sunny thought to herself. She's pretty sure she's not here to scout out potential boyfriends, but having a kick-ass spy boyfriend would be the definition of awesomeness. But since all of them are pretty new here, she decided to just let things happen at their pace and take things slowly. To start that, she first needs to introduce herself.

She sat next to the Japanese guy on the couch but not too near to give him his personal space. "Hey again! My name's Sunny, nice to meet you guys! This place is so amazing, don't you think?"

She was so done. Her head was throbbing dully as she followed the guard’s directions towards… Wimberton? No, no, the Whitley Building, she corrected herself. Admittedly, she hadn’t traveled very far. It wasn’t a long journey from Craigallian, Glasgow to R E D A C T E D but it still hadn’t been a piece of cake. She had managed to change before arriving at R E D A C T E D so she was feeling a bit better. Dressed in a cargo green jacket, simple black tank, faded blue jeans and Angel’s combat boots, Kat felt comfortable but most importantly clean.

Her fingers tapped an erratic pattern on the strap of her backpack as she wound her way towards her house for this year. She was here. In S.P.I.G.A. After years of waiting and watching the rest of her siblings leave and come back stronger, and more confident it was finally her turn. She was 5 and hounding 16-year old Matías to put on his uniform and tell her stories about his school. She was 10 and bugging freshman Ángel and Elena about their classes and missions. She had grown up hearing her siblings tell stories about their time at S.P.I.G.A and always picturing herself here. Well, not here exactly, she thought as she turned a corner and nearly crashed into a stone face. So much for elegance and spy-like grace.

Even with all the stories and all the information she had loaded up about S.P.I.G.A she knew that it could all be different. The competition was intense here, with all the students competing to be the best. But Kat’s true competition lay only in herself. She wasn’t here to be #1 (her siblings had often taken that role), no, she was only here to get better. She knew she had a lot to work on, and she knew she could do it. And although making friends would be great, considering the fact that she’d probably be with these people for the next four years, she had her goal and she had to achieve it.

Making her way past that spot she had nearly crashed face-first into, she found the door to Whitley Building. Taking a moment to tighten her ponytail and push the fly-away hairs behind her ears, Kat shoved the door open. The deceptively heavy wooden door opened soundlessly, and saw the living room where 3 people were sitting and quietly conversing. An Asian guy and an Asian girl sat on one end of the couch while an American or British guy sat on the other side.

“Hi! My name’s Kat. What are your names and where do you come from?”

Sending them a bright smile she plopped into a comfy armchair across from the trio. One of the things she was most looking forward to was meeting other spy kids from all over the world and getting to know more about their cultures and learning from them. With only her backpack, as one of the guards had mentioned that their suitcases would be delivered to them, she carefully placed it to one side as she started chatting with them. She couldn’t wait to see who else would show up.

Shiro relaxed into the couch, and began to feel sleep come about him until several other individuals entered the dorm. First it was another guy, American maybe, slightly taller than Shiro with black hair. Afterwards came in two girls, one looking Filipina while the other appearing hispanic, the Filipina sitting right next to him. They all introduced themselves- Garrett, Sunny (seemed fitting), and Kat, respectively. Shiro gave a polite nod, before proceeding to introduce himself.

“Shiro Yamazaki. I’m from Japan, and I look forward to working with you.” Shiro was pleased to see that his foreign accent was fading more. English was coming on more naturally for him. He turned to look at the cute girl sitting next to him, and gave her a sweet smile. “Yeah, this is a really cool place. The medieval theme is really interesting. I have a feeling I’m going to love this place.”

Diyos ko po, that smile, so precious. Must protect at all costs”, Sunny thought.

In her 15 years of living in an environment full of women, she never really had any decent experiences with talking to a man until this day. She has interacted with men before, but those are just parts of her mission to seduce men to get the information that she needs and also to distract them from her real mission. From these interactions, Sunny concluded that men are just walking sperm banks, always finding a hole to fill up. It doesn’t help that most of the members of the Lakambini were victims of rape and domestic violence, further supporting Sunny’s conclusion about men.

But there are also some of the Lakambini members who have loving and supportive husbands, which gave Sunny the idea that maybe not all men in the world are that much bad. She secretly hoped that, along with finding her real mother, she could also find a man who will disprove her conclusion and will love and respect her as a human being.

And how lucky is she to have a cute guy as one of the first men she has talked to in her life, which was also a spy and her classmate! This may be destiny at work!

Woah girl, you just met. Back it up!”, she thought. If it was possible to mentally slap yourself, she already did it. She’ll daydream about their future wedding later. Right now she has to focus on the present.

“Well, I’m afraid I already beat you at that because I’ve already fallen in love at this place the moment I saw it”, she jokingly replied to Shiro. “Okay, sorry I didn’t do this sooner, but time for formal introductions!”, she said with a smile.

She stood up and curtsied. “Sunny Dimagiba, 15 years old from the Philippines. If you’re wondering, yes Sunny is my real name. It was given to me by-“, she paused a bit. She’s still unsure of saying she’s a part of a secret organization of her country. They are all spies after all, she can’t just be open about herself and expect the others to be the same.

“It was given to me about my adoptive parents”, she continued. “I know we’ll eventually be at each other’s throats sooner or later but I really hope we could all help one another to improve at our crafts and be best friends”, she said to Garret, Shino (so cute), and Kat with a sweet smile.

Randy enters the hallowed halls of espionage. Wowed by the fact he was even accepted into this school. He walks around and sees everybody that he will have to associate with soon. He is both fascinated and envious of these people. However he will hopefully win everyone over. He looks over the diverse team and decides to lean back apathetically and hum Die Antword's I Fink You Freaky to scope just how serious these people take themselves.

After a good minute and a half of humming and waiting for a reaction (if any) he goes around looking for the person in charge. He walks up to someone and says: "Hey yo. Who's the big cheese here? I'm kinda new here." He looks up at the steps. "Do I go up there or what?" He stands and starts to fidget realizing he probably messed up already.

After a flight from the private airport to some unknown location somewhere up north he'd been given a short ride and then ushered onto a rocking boat. The only thing marking it out was the name "Shanty" and the two incongruously high powered outboard motors on the back. Now, several hours later, on the bed of the rocking boat lay the muscled form of Chris Darling. "Right, lets recap, i've been sick over the side, i was sick in galley on the way to the toilet and i was sick a bit in the cockpit but i dont think hes noticed that yet." The boat sloshed from side to side as a wave crested. The outboards hummed. The strong smell of diesel entered the room. Chris turned on the bed and gowned.

Laughingly a voice called "Get yourself up. We're nearly there.". Chris opened an eye and saw the form of the ship captain grinning in the doorway. "Its not FUNNY Carl!". He'd mistakenly eaten a huge breakfast in anticipation for the journey. A Full English made by his mother as a going away present, now it was his enemy. "Oh how funny fate is... Cant tell mum."

He rose to his feet and into the toilet, he gazed at himself in the mirror. A few moments later he emerged wearing a Ted Baker herringbone jacket with black zip jumper underneath. His Steel grey water repellent trousers might be useful considering the sea was particularly choppy today. The boat bumped signalling that it had hit the mooring point and chris got up. Following the security, on the way he looked out onto the site of the Castle. Even though he was distracted it still hit him. It said "Im making my presence known". He followed the security and in a moment he was in a large room.

"Professor Wolfe" "You will be dropped into the real world" "lives will be put on the line" "improvise" "adapt " "Whitley Building" "right, and then a left" "10pm"

A moment later he was turning the hallway into the dorms of the Whitely building carrying his bags. Pushing open the door into the white room his eyes first met with the Japanese guy who seemed to be watching the door.

"Cwoah im glad to be on dry land" he threw the gym bag on the couch and began unlooping his arms from the rucksack. "All right? Im Chris". He looks at the rest of the room Kat and Garrett included. "I guess we'll be showing eachother how awesome we are for the next four years yeh?", with that he collapses on the wide couch next to his bags with a 'phwomp', he turns to Sunny "Im personally trying out for Gryffindor" he says with a wide smile.

Kat internally smiled as she saw the guy and girl, now introduced as Shiro and Sunny, casually flirting. She had very limited experiences in flirting but, from what she could see, Sunny was great at it. Outwardly she waved at them both before turning to Garett with another warm smile as she waited for him to introduce himself.

At Sunny’s words Kat lightly frowned. Be at each other’s throats? Kat mentally searched through her conversations with her siblings and found that while they did have friction with some other students, it wasn’t that cut throat. And looking at this group it didn’t seem like they would be a nightmare to work with.

“Uh… Sunny? I can’t speak for everyone but I’m not really here to be at anyone’s throat. I’m more than willing to help and learn from everyone— god knows I have a lot of improve on.” Sending the Filipina a smile, she hoped that the beautiful girl wouldn’t take her words as a confrontation. She honestly was only here to improve her own craft not tear anyone else down.

Before anything else could happen she heard someone to her right ask a question. A brown-haired boy stood there, fidgeting slightly. Sending what she hoped was an encouraging smile she replied, “ I don’t think there’s a ‘big cheese’ yet. We’re all just getting to know each other so far. I’m Kat btw and I’m guessing that our rooms are upstairs. What’s your name?”

Before she could think of listening to his response a muscular teen whirled into the room; full of energy and talking a mile a minute. Kat couldn’t help but laugh as he, who she gathered was called Chris, said he was trying out of Gryffindor.

“The real question is are you trying out for seeker? ‘Cause if you are then we might come to wands.” Laughter was ever-present in her eyes as she gently teased him. Looking at the group of assembled teens she knew somehow that this was going to be an interesting year.

Nikki took a deep breath as she entered the academy for the first time, nerves coursing through her veins like an electric shock. The journey from Lisse had been quite long and had involved using almost every mode of transportation. She drove in a car to the Schiphol, where she flew as close to the academy as she could, rode on a train to the port, and took a boat to her final destination. Throughout this entire journey, Nikki couldn’t stop thinking about the many unknowns this new adventure held for her.

Gazing around with her chocolate brown eyes, the gorgeous stone architecture and the medieval feeling of the building overwhelmed her, but she couldn’t help but smile as she thought about how exciting this was. To finally be here at the academy was something out of a storybook, but the jitters in her fingers indicated how anxious and nervous she truly felt.

Questions flew through her mind as she sat down in the large ballroom for orientation. Would she fit in with the other students? Was she truly good enough to be here? She was also concerned about her outfit being too casual for the event, which consisted a pair of ripped black jeans, black converse, a grey tank top and her tried and true denim jacket. Nikki balled up her fists in order to cease the shaking in her hands and tried to pay attention to Emery Wolfe’s speech to the best of her ability.

Once dismissed, the blonde found her way to the Whitley Building, whereupon walking up to the door, could already hear the chatter between a small group of her new peers. Stopping in the doorway, she spoke softly to herself in Dutch. “Het komt goed met je…”(You’ll be fine)

Walking slowly into the common space, she now faced five people, two girls, and three boys. Trying her best to push her social anxiety to the side, she smiled brightly at everyone. “Uh... hallo everyone. My name’s Nikki, nice to meet you all." Realizing she was awkwardly standing there, Nikki moved and sat towards the end of the long white couch, where she would still be close to everyone, but far enough to keep some personal space.

Dominique’s ginger hair took to the wind as she stood leaning over the edge of the railing of the yacht. The gentle spray of the salt water tickled her face as the boat carved through the waves, sending a gentle shiver through her body. Truthfully, she had lost herself in the calming roll of the waves and the sound of her music cutting out the sounds around her. She was completely relaxed at this moment, save for the gentle flutter of butterflies in her stomach. Excitement, something any new student to S.P.I.G.A would be hard pressed to suppress.

As the looming fortress that was the academy came into few, Dominique stood straight and paced back to her small, cramped cabin and began to put on her casual gear. Nothing too serious, but enough that were she required to defend herself for whatever reason, she could do so rather well. On this particular day, she had decided on a practical, but casual look composed of her favourite tan tactical pants, a long sleeve black athletic shirt and her soft shell jacket overtop. Reaching into her duffle bag, she pushed past her tactical vest and retrieved her custom made arm braces, sliding them on each arm underneath her shirt. Once she finally emerged from her cabin she paced back towards the open deck, her ankle high hiking boots making little noise on the hallway floors.

Moments later, she stepped off of the ship and onto the dock that preceded the castle. She slid her jacket off and tied it around her waist. Now that she was no longer at see, the wind wouldn’t be as cold. She quickly tapped her nearly invisible wireless earbuds to skip the song, putting on her normal pump-up song as she took a deep breath. A new stage in her life had just begun.

With a newfound energy in her step as the music rang through her ears, Dominique began the walk to the main building of the castle where she would join the rest of the students for a small assembly, taking in the scenery around her as she did. It was a wonderfully isolated place, with water surrounding them on every side. She was going to love it here. Her head bobbed to the music as she mouthed along to the lyrics, excitement building inside her as she got closer and closer to the main building.

After listening to the rather brief speech from the headmaster, she followed the rest of the students towards the dorms, restarting her music with a quick tap of her right earbud. Dominique reached down and picked up her matching black duffle bags and entered the dorm building where she calmly walked right towards her dorm, nodding gently to the people in the commons before entering her room. She stacked her bags carefully at the end of the bed and took out her earbuds, stuffing them into her pocket. She took out her phone and quickly checked her hair in the reflection of the screen before returning to the commons room.

Stepping forward, the ginger took a seat in a lone chair before waiting for an opening in the conversation to introduce herself.

Plesure to meet you all, my name is Dominique.” Her french accent clearly audible as she spoke.

“Oh”, Sunny laughed shyly in reply to Kat. “Sorry ‘bout that. This is really my first time talking to a group pf people that’s close to my age, so I’m not really that much of an expert. I just thought that since this is a spy academy, we’ll be at competition with each other to get to the very top but it’s very nice to know we’ll all be friends here!”, she smiled sweetly.

She sat back next to Shiro, alittle bit closer than before to show her being comfortable around him, then replied to Chris. “I’m really sorry to sound like I’m bragging, but based on the test I took at Pottermore, I’m already considered a Gryffindor. Actually, I’m personally more of a demigod than a wizard.” The Lakambini has a library full of books ranging from Spying 101 to cookery to architecture to young adult fiction novels. Sunny’s relieved she has read of couple of books so she can relate to whatever her peers are talking about.

She then turned to the other newcomers Randy, Dominique (hearing her French accent just reignited her interest in learning French) and Nikki. “Hey y’all! Pleasure to meet you! Uh Dominique, can I ask you something if you don’t mind?”, she said to the nice French lady. “Do french fries, french toast, and the french kiss really come from France?”, she asked honestly. It might seem like a silly question but she’s really just curious. Right now she’s focused on getting to know her classmates better. She knows it’s going to be one heck of a year for all of them so she’s enjoying moments like this that they can spend time and relax together.

It wasn’t until Sunny moved closer to Shiro that she had noticed the sword next to him. “Holy crud”, she thought as her eyes widen a bit in surprise and horror. “Why haven’t I notice it before?”. She backed up a little bit from Shiro. One would think that a person who’s been handling needles her entire life wouldn’t be afraid of any real blades at all, but she believes that a real, honest-to-goodness sword is best admired from afar, precisely 30 feet away from her.

AJ stood still near the entrance to the main building for a moment. She was looking over the landscape, a large rutsack hanging from her shoulders and wheeled luggage in tow. After a group of students walked past her, presumably heading to their dorm rooms, she did the same. AJ simply followed some of them as they made their way to the Whitley building. She was somewhat dreading going inside, having to introduce herself to a bunch of strangers she'd never seen before in the form of small talk. "So where are you from? Oh, wow, really? What's it like over there?!" Definitely not her thing.

With an low sigh, the young girl pushed the door open to come into view of the large living space with a handful of students already sitting around. AJ immediately noticed the steps leading up to the second floor, and she made her way over as she smiled at some of the students who were looking at her as she walked past. Once at the foot of the stairs, AJ pushed down the handle of her luggage and with some effort, picked it up from the side. It was somewhat heavy, but she could manage. The young girl ascended the steps somewhat awkwardly, having no solid leverage with the weight she was carrying upstairs. A few moments passed before AJ finally got to the very last step. She put her luggage down before exhaling, looking around as she spotted her room being the second down on the right. She walked towards it and opened the door, deciding immediately that it was best if she just left her stuff there to go back downstairs, so that's what she did.

The young girl then made her way to the first floor, taking better notice of the other students. She sat down on the love seat and rested her chin on her hand, wondering if someone was going to come around and give them some more information.

The yacht was a thing of beauty in most eyes, but in Devin's it was a true masterpiece. While he would have preferred a sailboat he was a fan of anything that got him on the water and this Spanish registered vessel would do nicely. During the trip from the main island Devin had walked around the ship admiring its ins and outs. When it set out he found some of the crew and watch them.

The rest of the trip was easy enough. Devin had found a place to relax. His nerves were getting the better of him as he saw the island. He hadn't really talked to anyone on the boat due to giving off an air of interest of the ship which was true so he didn't mind. He watched as they docked and then went and grabbed his bags. Some of his things had been sent ahead, but thankfully he made the right decision to wear his leather jacket as a brisk gust of wind common in England.

Following the directions given to the other freshman he entered the massive and aged walls of the castle as security motioned for everyone to follow. Looking around Devin gave his classmates a look over. He saw student armed, but it seemed none of them were twitchy with them. Others had phones or tablets. It was less intimidating than he would have imagined as nearly everything else fit any public school scene. There were people excited to see each other and others bemoaning the coming onslaught of school work that was ahead of them.

During the introduction a few things made Devin raise an eyebrow. After mentioning that some students hadn't survived Devin muttered "That wasn't in the brochure". What came after was some classic words of wisdom handed down to students throughout the ages. After the headmaster finished his lecture and guiding words everyone was directed to their living spaces. Along the way he heard some students talking to one of the security personal positioned at the exit. He made an announcement of where incoming students and so Devin followed.

Arriving at his building he almost knocked and then gave a mental chuckle. Opening the door he walked in to the welcoming arms of an expansive room seemingly fit for a king. While walking in he gave a loud whistle. "Nice..." he mused while walking into the living room area with couches and 7 other people engaged in small talk and introductions. Not one to linger any more than needed he walked into the room and introduced himself as they all turned and looked at who had whistled and walked in.

"Whitley Building right?" Devin asked politely. "I didn't know the school had such a sense of humor with names. Didn't exactly come through in the opening remarks..." He said while looking around at both the furniture and the company. Sitting in the room was the collection of people he had heard chatting. He didn't have names to faces but he figured introductions could happen soon enough. "Name's Devin Coal everyone. Nice to meet you."

(Devin's inner thoughts as he scanned the room and got a first impression of everyone in the room)

@Agent 47 - Asian, most likely Japanese considering his fashion sense with the sword. It helped being from one of the largest and diverse Asian populations outside the continent. The suit was straight from the Hollywood red carpet too.

@SpicyMeatball - The red head was hard to miss considering how striking her hair was. Add the massive tattoo and the boot camp Lara Croft look she had going she read as someone ready and the school was already going to slow for her. Devin wasn't smitten but he definitely did a double take when he first saw her on the boat and was happy to see her in the room.

@EchoesofOld - Normally they say you can tell a lot about a man from his shoes... What does that mean when a man isn't wearing shoes? Still considering there was only one pair by the door he could assume the guy didn't lose them.

@Infernal Flame - Tough to say where she is from. Perfectly pleasant enough for a roommate and classmate.

@melissahart - The denim jacket was stylish and he liked the look she had it paired with. Her blonde hair gave her a sort of Scandinavian beauty a lot of north Americans see in beauty magazines but the obvious travel fatigue was written on her face.

@Banzai Tracers - Good Lord! Where did they grow you? This guy towered over Devin by several inches. I guess he was going to have to get used to not being one of the taller in the bunch like he was back home.

@Xandrya - Cute. Considering every woman in this school was likely capable of killing someone thirty different ways Devin figured she wasn't any exception so a simple happy smile would be about as far as I should go.

@baraquiel - Energetic to say the least. She seemed to beam at him as he introduced himself and was one of the more enthusiastic in the group from the short time he had been there. Some might roll their eyes at it, but Devin saw it more as an impressive feat considering where they all were.

Once Devin had introduced himself and shook or nodded to everyone he looked around for his things. "I am guessing stuff we had delivered was brought to our room or maybe do we have to go pick it up somewhere?"

Garrett had been sitting in his seat quietly, taking in all the hubbub of arriving students. A nod of greeting here. A smile acknowledging a joke there. A pointed disproving look cast toward's Chris's wand joke. Garrett spoke, introducing himself hopefully for the last time today (at least among this group of people), "Welcome, newcomers. I'm Garrett." This time, his Southern twang was definitely noticeable. As American as they come. "Anyone happen to know what time we eat?"

So many new people in a room wasn't an appealing prospect to Garrett right now. If he were well rested, it'd be no problem. But he was tired, stressed, and wanted little more than to go to sleep right now. Hell, depending on how long till his next assigned activity, he had a mind to forgo food in favor of a nap.

Nikki sat on the couch, fiddling with the buttons on her jacket. Things weren't going awfully, which she was thankful for, but she still felt a little intimidated by the others. Everyone seemed to have everything together already, and, as usual, it was taking Nikki a little bit longer to get used to her surroundings. She smiled as the Filipina girl asked Dominique what kinds of things were made in France, finding it funny that the redhead being from the country made her think of these things with french in the name. The mention of french fries and french toast made her stomach grumble slightly, as she hadn't eaten a complete breakfast due to nerves, and was beginning to get a little hungry. Somehow she'd have to find a snack around here.

Glancing at the boy who just entered, Nikki couldn't help but find him attractive. His leather jacket gave off a bad boy edge she seemed to like, and his smile was lovely as well. Deciding to be brave and respond to him, she spoke. "I'm not too sure about our stuff, but I'm assuming if anything they'll bring it to the building."

Looking over to Garrett, she was glad he was thinking the same thing as her. "Hopefully soon, I just started to get hungry. What do you think the food is like here?"

Randy looks at the spunky Filipina and is instantly angry that she walked right by him. He refrains from yelling but ahems towards her. "I'm Randy Reynolds, the brains of this team." He says. "Who might you be? Also the French Fry is Belgian, the French Toast is I think Texan and the French kiss was stolen from South Africa. I can show you how it really is like if you want." He then looks around and wonders if he'll get into trouble. "If not I totally understand." Randy says as he backpedals and looks around to hide behind something big. She probably thinks I'm just a cowardly Slytherin He thinks to himself. Randy in desperation asks very loudly "Is there a special education course here by any chance?"

Dominique nodded to the next few students that had arrived and offered them a gentle smile, before her attention turned to Sunny. So far, she’d been in a good mood and actually found it kind of funny that Sunny asked the questions that she did. She opened her mouth and was about to answer the girl’s question before being cut off by the South African. With a slight glare, she waited out his little speech and watched almost in horror as he suggested a kiss to a total stranger.

“Je m’excuse monsieur, but your interruption was rather rude. And, if you truly insist on french kissing, maybe you’d like to take a try at kissing one of my blades and leave the girl alone.”

Dominique stood from her seat and rolled up her sleeves, pacing towards the blonde boy. Her eyes shot daggers at him as she approached, ready to draw the daggers mounted on the insides of her wrist as a show of force. When she got within an arm's reach of Randy, she stopped and stood her ground, looking him dead in the eyes. The ginger was quite tone and fully capable of taking on the similarly heighted individual in question. Whether or not she actually would remained to be seen.

“And you’re wrong about one thing there...French toast originated from the Roman Empire, not Texas."
