Mordred

Oh. He was going to fight back.

That was fine with her.

Smirking, Mordred raised her free hand. As she did, red light traveling from her fingertips up to her shoulder and cladding it in her armor. Placing her hand on the burning, crystalline blade, she gripped it tightly before shoving it aside, her smirk spreading into a vicious grin as she forced the sword down and away. Oh, she could feel the heat from the flames, even through her armor. And it certainly didn't feel good. But there was no way in hell she was going to let him talk to her like that. Calling her a man just made it worse.

"Oh, they didn't tell you my name?" Mordred asked, "Because your luck has run out, now that you've made an enemy of Mordred!"

Just as she was about to follow up on that by, ideally, carving his head open, the military girl from before, Minami, ran to their side, waving her hands.

"Wait wait! I know you're angry, Mordred, but if we wait too long innocent people could get hurt!" she cried, "I know a brave knight like you couldn't let that happen!"

For a few moments, Mordred was silent, still gripping that crystal sword in her hand even as it burned away, still glaring at the man who had insulted her. She wanted to run her sword through that bastard face of his, after beating him down and making him eat his words. But... Minami had a point, didn't she? Whatever was going on down there, if any civilians got involved it would probably be dangerous. They could even be killed.

No matter how angry she had become, Mordred couldn't let that happen.

"... Tch."

Mordred released the sword, allowing red sparks to flow up her body and cover her completely in her armor as she stepped back.

"You're lucky I didn't kick your ass anyway," she commented, "Thank her."

The red knight cocked her head briefly towards the private, before turning to face the foul-smelling hole. She paused at the edge, looking back over her shoulder.

"Try and order me around and I'll reconsider. Got it?"

With that, Mordred hopped into the hole. The armored girl landed with a clank, waving her free hand in a vain attempt to disperse the stench. Had something gone and died down her? It certainly smelled like it. The moth bastard was up ahead, and there was no way she was going to let him try and claim any glory. The rebellious knight swiftly proceeded ahead.

Vita

So the rocks Hinanawi had used seemed pretty useless. What were these things, anyway? They were almost like the product of some kind of Lost Logia, except that would have meant that there was a Lost Logia here. That didn't seem to likely. Vita wasn't going to waste any more time thinking about what these things were though. What she knew is they were the enemy, and she knew exactly what to do to enemies.

"Eisen!"

The armed device answered with an affirmative as it loaded a cartridge with a resounding clank. With that, Vita charged forward, as a pink light erupted beside her and tore through the numbers of the strange technicolor creatures. With a yell, the redheaded girl swiped with her mallet and sent the head slamming into the side of one of the creatures. With a strangely feminine sigh its side crumpled inwards and blackened as it erupted into chunks of ash. Was that the source of the ash they'd found...?

Whatever!

The next one was sliding along the ground, more like a slug. Vita swung Eisen in an arc downwards, crushing it into the ground and cratering the concrete. Another of the more human ones was sent flying, breaking apart into ash as it hurtled through the air from a strike from her hammer.

The next one was smashed into the wall so hard it knocked a hole through it as it broke down.

Alberich

The woman had placed her free hand on his blade. Alberich naturally ignited the flames further as a reaction.

It had easily sliced through Cygnus Hyoga's chestplace like a hot knife through butter and the flames, a mere touch had sent Pegasus Seiya to his knees when the latter had knocked the sword from his hands. The amount of damage her arm and hand would surely had taken from that would had been intense, even if she were heavily armored. She was strong though, he could feel it.

Physically she was very strong despite her being a few centimeters shorter than himself. He was just about to use the spray of acid stored in his gauntlet, hoping to hit Mordred's face to impair her vision. It would obstruct her vision and then he would raise one of his knees to knee her between her legs. Where she surely lacked any protection.

It was a cheap move. But everything is allowed in order to win. However things did not come to that as the woman finally introduced herself.

Mordred? This woman is Mordred? Mordred was a man according to the tales. There was also that other woman who was overseeing their work, she had ran over and was trying to calm things down.

The woman. Mordred. She seemed to possess some power of lightning or somewhat akin to that. Alberich however was pleased over Minami's timely arrival to stop things from escalating further. Alberich didn't ponder on yelling any order to her as it now were. As Mordred had begun to move. It mattered not much to him if she went ahead or behind him. But the woman was more hotheaded than even Seiya.

If she and that mothman would get themselves killed down there it would mean he would be alone against who knows what. That small girl wasn't interested in aiding either. But Alberich had dealt with many things, read of many mythical creatures, tales and history. If there was anyone in this group capable of fighting what possibly could be ahead it was him.

Alberich gave Minami a narrowed eyed look and a nod. "She may not come back in one piece the way she handles things."
He didn't waste more time talking to Minami however and jumped down into the hole aswell. He held his crystal sword now in one hand and had the flames light up the way. The smell down here was really bad. The area wasn't ideal for fighting. But he was certain that applied to all of them.

"Mordred. Medraut. The traitorous knight of Arthur Pendragon. I know of you. Both of you died fighting each other to the death." Alberich said as he ended up behind Mordred.

"I know not only about you. But of the sword Excalibur, Merlin, Camelot, the holy grail and also the knights of the rounds. Lancelot. Perceval. Gawain. To name a few." He took a slight breath in the foul air.

"I am certain you have heard the tale of Siegfried and the dragon Fafner? The Balmung sword? He is the head of the god warriors."

Menomaru

His moths were scouting ahead. He was waiting for them to give him some information of what was ahead. Now all that he needed was to have the two fools behind him to pass him by and he could make the trap necessary to kill them both off. If whatever was inside the hole could also be drawn to them they would be pinned between it and his moths.

Though he wanted to finish the girl off himself. Not let some second rate monster take it from him. Perhaps the monster or whatever had made it's way down here could be made into a temporary servant. The idea crossed him. He was after all going to kill everything in this world. That was the plan. If his existance in his world was just a lie then he would have to make his own reality in this world. And these humans would pay for this humiliation.

How sweet it would be to draw their souls to him. He might not even need his father's powers if he kill enough of them. Letting his moths gather the souls of each person in this world to boost his own power. Then he could become the great Hyoga himself and then destroy everything. He saw the knight and the boy with the flaming sword approach him from behind. He moved slightly to the side so they could move past. That was the plan after all.

"Lead the way. Human." Menomaru said to the knight.

Ben glanced ahead to where Hibiki had landed and then back to the destruction he had caused to the street. At least he had attempted to take care with so many people about. Rather than travel by warren to catch up, which he'd done far too much of recently, he opened himself to Serc again, stepping into the sky to follow an arc that landed him next to Hibiki.

"Is that sort of thing... normal here?"

He'd certainly come across demons before but usually there was some motive behind whatever violence they were delivering.

She tracked the flying monster with the rifle and then lowered the weapon. It was clear that she was quite unnecessary at the moment. There was a lot of very unusual things going on that she wasn't exactly prepared to deal with. Ennis put the rifle down, no matter how this turned out it would be suspicious for her to have such a firearm.

Mordred

She expected him to know her legend. That was the entire reason that she'd mentioned her name. So the bastard knew exactly what he was getting into and couldn't complain when he was bleeding out. If it scared him off, yeah, that was fine too. It wouldn't be unexpected. But now he just decided to run his mouth. Mentioning Arthur. Her Father.

"Oi oi, I just spared your life and now you want to bring up Father?" Mordred commented, looking over her shoulder with a glare, "Shut your damn mouth already before I decide to shut it for you."

She saw her Father every day back in Chaldea. She wasn't sure how to feel about that. But regardless, the Red Knight of Rebellion was hardly about to chat it up about Father with anyone, let alone this guy who wouldn't stop talking. He was still blathering on and on about Siegfried now of all people. What was his problem?

"That guy apologizes too much," she said, in a dismissive fashion. "Jeez, do you ever shut up?"

By this point, the blonde girl had concluded that she hated both of the guys she was currently stuck with. Menomaru for being a bastard who would hurt innocent people without anyone keeping an eye on him, and Alberich for being a jackass who didn't know when to shut up already.

Irritably, Mordred proceeded ahead of the former. By this point, she could use a good fight.

Shokuhou Misaki

Misaki let out a deep sigh as she looked at the figures in the distance, well aware now that her voice had likely not reached them in the least. That was an issue, obviously, considering the fact that the entire road was now torn up like an earthquake or something of the sort had run through it. In other words, if she didn't get to them fast, they were apt to do something even more compromising.

The downside to that, of course, was that she would have to run.

By the time she had reached them, Misaki was already half-exhausted despite the distance traveled and, as a result, ended up leaning against a nearby wall for support.

"You two... Do realize... That police investigations... Have already happened... About the explosions near the Imperial Gardens?" she asked through ragged breaths as she looked at the two. "You two... Stand out like sore thumbs. You're probably going to... Need to lay low a while..."

Once she had said that, though, Misaki leaned her back against the wall and only now attempted to normalize her heart rate.

"Clothes. You need new clothes, for sure. I wouldn't suppose you have the money on you for that?"

Hinanawi Tenshi

Tenshi furrowed her brows as she launched another barrage of rocks at... Well, whatever these weird things were. She wasn't confused about the black dust any more--at least that was fairly obvious after a few moments on thought in the middle of fighting these things. No, instead, the Celestial was more confused by how their numbers seems to never really dwindle. For every one that died, it felt as if two followed...

Or, well, that had been the case until that Nanoha girl decided to level a good section of the city block to deal with the horde of enemies. Tenshi couldn't help but be reminded of that time she fought that nuclear hell raven, collateral damage and all. The question about where all these things came from, though, was still left in the air.

Once the dust and smoke cleared, Tenshi flew into the air and looked around for anything that might have survived their combined onslaught. It took a few moments, though, to see that a few new groups of the enemies were already arriving. The constant white flashes of light from one of the location closest to Tenshi piqued her curiosity, and so she flew over to check it out.

The source, it seemed, was another one of those 'cellphone' things. Every time it flashed, another one of those oddly colored enemies would pop out and begin to march towards where she had just come from.

So, logically, Tenshi simply flew down and stomped on it. The object went down with little resistance, and after firing a few rocks at the enemies from behind, the Celestial picked up the scrap metal the phone had become and flew back to the rest of the group.

"Hey, it seems like these are the source of our current problem," she stated, casually tossing the destroyed phone on the ground before readying her blade once more. "You can find the rest, right?"

It would not be long after the three had moved ahead that they would find the source of the problem--a giant moving blob of sludge, its green coloration invoking ideas of a certain Pokemon (but with far less apparent intelligence). The thing seemed to slowly be inching forwards--for what purpose, though, was still up in the air.

Regardless, the thing still had not noticed them, or so it seemed. It simply continued to move forward, oblivious to the world around it.

The soldier took a few steps back after handing off the earpiece, and though he did have an odd look on his face as the young man in front of him attempted to speak directly into the object as opposed to bring it up to his ear.

"Hello? I am Captain Yamazaki Mamoru of the JSDF," the voice on the other end of the line spoke. "My subordinate here tells me that you aren't... From this time, so to speak? Could I please ask for your name?"

Leonardo Watch

The spectacle that followed Leo's ability was on par with any flashy finisher that he had seen from Libra in the past; the giant meteor, Youmu pulling that giant slash on the enemy, Klaus using his usual techniques...

Honestly, the weirdest part about all this wasn't them or the dragons—it was the fact that there was someone in a mechanized suit straight out of a comic book flying around. Even in Hellsalem's Lot there had been no such technology. Or, well, not that he had seen or remembered as of late, at the very least.

The wyvern that had been engaged on by the two melee users had died fairly quickly following their attacks, the skull still intact (though with one rather large cut through one of them and a giant hole right above), and its body was not simply lying there on the cracked asphalt. The other, as had been noted, had been burnt to near-complete ashes. There were a few scales and pieces of hide that managed to survive, by some miracle or another, though much of the body was indeed gone.

The young man breathed a sigh of relief as he looked at the corpse of the wyvern, a smile on his face now that the problem had been handled without much apparent trouble. The only problem now, of course, was that they didn't exactly have the funds from Libra to pay for the repairs...

Nor did they have any way of really... Trying to hide now that there were news helicopters above their heads. It was almost guaranteed that the entire scene had been recorded, and now that all their faces were on live TV...

"...Hey, Klaus..." Leo began, walking up to his superior and nervously rubbing the back of his head. "You wouldn't, by any chance, know how we can, uh... Explain this in a pre-Great Collapse New York, right...?"

The sound of police sirens (probably from the police that were waiting a distance away after getting thrown around by the monsters from earlier) was quickly converging on them, and more fighting or running wasn't exactly something that Leo wanted to deal with right now.

Of course, the police that had arrived to see the whole scene could only really gape in shock at how fast it had gone down. After all, their shots had done nothing to the creatures, but these people...

"Ah. They're here."

New York, New York; Manhattan Area; In the Air in Meteora's Arms

The flying man in some kind of armor, who has arrived in battle to blind a wyvern, had come up to herself and the blue-haired mage named "Meteora" to seemingly extend some kind of greetings as he floated there. Though the young empress held to Meteora with her free arm still since they were still up in the air, the blue-haired mage still perhaps able to feel the shakiness in Sanaki's arm that was wrapped around her for dear life. Even so, the purple-haired mage composedly closed Cymbeline and stuffed it back up with her other tomes, before looking at the man in armor once more. It had been timely to get help in the fight at this last second, though these new arrivals like the others were still strangers to her. Only this blue-haired mage had gained some trust from her, even if a little, since she had arrived in this strange world of strange beorc.

His tone, even through some sort of medium from the sounds of it, came with a sense of familiarity for Sanaki. Not that she knew this strange beorc at all, but that the sort of aristocratic-style confidence and wanton blitzing about as he pleased was reminiscent of the Senate. The Old Begnion Senate, whom had stabbed her in the back and fought to destroy the world as the meager slaves of a mistaken goddess. She could tell what kind of man this was based on what little she was hearing from him and had seen of his action, as she had dealt with the rich and wealthy types before in her world so much it had become habit to be able to pick up on things like this about people as someone in her position of power.

However, she was not to be one without manners in all of this as well, and it would give Ms. Meteora here the chance to hear her name as well.

"...My name is Sanaki Kirsch Altina, Empress of the Begnion Empire," Sanaki said, formal as she could ever be as she reached out her free hand and lightly shook the hand of the armored man, before addressing him in her usual regal manner, not flinching or faltering even for a moment despite her apparent physical age, "It seems more than a few of us were pulled into this strange world, as it were. Hopefully the beorc officials here will be willing to peacefully talk with us, though, after we saved this city from these abnormal wyverns."

But with her tome obliterating most of one of the wyverns in a great inferno, that had even left whatever paved this road seemingly melted below where the wyvern had once been, it was no surprise that likely the beorc officials in this city had sent some sort of forces to come here. Not well-armored ones at all, really, and whose weapons paled against the likes of even a couple of wyverns. It seemed painfully obvious this world was not used to such thing, or was even familiar with them at all. Out of the corner of her eye from this position in the air, Sanaki could also see the surviving beorc among those who had tried to fight the wyverns looking on with awe and agape in shock. This only further made her assumptions clearer then daylight in an open sky, but at the same time left a possible negative able to come to light as well.

These people had just apparently seen magic and other strange abilities in their world for the first time, perhaps, and those in charge of the law were reacting to it. She didn't desire another battle of some kind to occur, and hopefully peaceful resolution would be the first idea for herself and the others who had saved them, but considering the situation she wouldn't blame these beorc if they did react violently to the lot of them here as well.

"You, the beorc all standing over there!" Sanaki called aloud to a few of the agape policemen/policewomen staring at the scene, looking over to them and her voice booming in regal tone in order for them to hear her clearly from afar, "We mean you all no harm. The beasts have been slain, and it is safe to approach."

She wasn't sure if any of the other strangers to this world also heard her, but if they did hopefully they might get the idea of not starting another fight. Not that Sanaki knew any of them well at all, for that matter.

Hopefully attempting to extend a peaceful hand into this matter would help, though, with her taking a lead of sorts. As long as none of the others decided to attack and resist a peaceful process, on either this side or the side of these beorc for that matter. It was all odd here to her, alien, and conflict when none was needed might only exacerbate everyone's situations here. If Ms. Meteora was correct in her words, worlds had collided here, in a manner of speaking. It was an odd matter to ponder, though, but she had to work with what little information she had, from the only individual here she had gained a bit of trust with and for based on her characters and actions.

"I don't remember seeing anything that would eat people... the Noise just turn you into dust," Hibiki answered, no more aware of the possible origin of the monstrous birds than ben was--only that wherever they came form, they would need to be put down as soon as they showed up. By the time that Misaki had caught up, the girl was back in civilian clothes and starting to shiver despite the borrowed coat, though not so cold as to not object at first to being flashy. Birds eating people was no time to hold back! But once the conversation turned to money...

"I don't even have pockets..."

"I don't think that we can explain why these creatures are here any more than why we are here. Whatever caused us to be brought to old New York from Hellsalem's Lot must be responsible for bringing the monsters here too, and the others if they came from different worlds," the large man said, doffing the knuckledusters and looking completely respectable once again--the battle had even avoided drenching his shirt entirely in blood like so many had. Their rough teamwork had certainly been enough to bring down beasts such as this without any casualties or too much destruction.

But outside Hellsalem's Lot, where the laws were both more obvious and not expected to cover supernatural property damage as a result of fighting, they were probably safe from having to foot the bill themselves. If they got in legal difficulty, a defence could be constructed based on good samaritan laws: whatever damage might have been done by their group in stopping the wyverns was less damage than two beasts of such size would have done to the city anyway, up to and including eating its residents.

With the... empress? Attempting to direct the police attention to her, Klaus walked around the remarkably-intact wyvern corpse--quite how it hadn't been broken wide open from those blows was interesting--to stand next to her in case of any cultural difficulties... such as calling people strange foreign words. He had more experience with such matters, even though they were far from his forte.

NANOHA TAKAMACHI

Nanoha couldn't avoid noticing when the monsters that they defeated turned into piles of ash much similar to the ones they found when they first arrived at this location. There was only one logical conclusion that she could come up with, especially since the ash they found was arranged in a pattern that suggested that a previous battle happened here not long ago. Other extradimensional beings must have fought and defeated these monsters here.

However, this conjecture didn't answer two important questions: Who did this and where are the people that should inhabit this area?

Nanoha didn't have much time to think about it before more creatures crept on her, breaking through the walls of nearby buildings. A couple Smash Impacts (i.e.: using Raising Heart as a mana fueled club) later and Nanoha cleared the area around her once more. Right in time for Tenshi to deliver their first solid clue on this investigation.

"Is that what we are supposed to look for? If that's the case, leave it to me," Nanoha said as she took high to skies, stopping once she had a clear sight of the whole operation area. "Raising Heart, please, calculate the target's positions based on the last Area Search," she said as a magic circle appeared below her feet.

"Targets acquired, Master."

"Thank you, Raising Heart."

"Here we go, Accel Shooter: Vanishing Shift..." Nanoha said as several magical bullets appeared in the air around her. Each of them locked on the location of the electronic devices that were emitting the same signals as the mobile phone that Tenshi brought earlier. "Shoot!" she called, unleashing the barrage of homing attacks. Hopefully, this would end this engagement in one fell swoop.

Emilio

"Heeh?" He placed one hand by his waist and then looked around for a moment before quickly dashing off midair searching for a device such as the one Tenshi had thrown away. At least it was better searching for the device than standing or hovering idly by. The odd creatures they had destroyed had provided some fun. But they were far from fighting against his own kind.

You couldn't exactly play with these creatures either. They gave no pleasant reactions at all. So he decided he needed to find one of those devices quickly so they could get assigned another mission. He put out another of those octagonal prisms as soon as he spotted one of those devices about and more of those creatures. He then shot another ray of light into the prism, causing multiple rays to shoot out from the prism itself and hit many of the creatures.

Emilio continued attacking, this time flinging smaller projectiles who were still capable of destroying these creatures, he flung them at reasonable speed. They weren't as quick as the rays nor as powerful, but they were homing in on their targets. Then when he had a good sight of the device he flung one of the projectiles towards it. Destroying it in the process.

The nearby buildings would take damage and smoke would pour out from a few of them from the ray attacks. There was collateral damage indeed. But it did not bother him. It wasn't his mission to care about some buildings. Finding these devices, destroying the creatures and proceeding forwards however was.

Where would forwards really be? Without Wong there wasn't really anyone keeping him from leaving the army. Gudeath and Setsuna wasn't around either. Or any other Psychiccer for that matter.

He could leave the army. The thought occurred to him but wasn't overly appealing. They had provided him with a place to stay and entertaining people to play around with. They also provided him with missions so he wouldn't sit idle in a room like he had done before many time during his time with Wong.

Now when he thought about it. How long had he'd been with Wong? Where were he before that? His head started to hurt, a spray of pain. "Hnnghn..."

He shook his head from side to side while searching for hostiles. He needed to go elsewhere now. Perhaps to that girl with the red outfit. There was something about her. He darted off at high speed looking for Vita. Perhaps she hadn't finished up with all the fun just yet.

Alberich

He narrowed his eyes yet again. Mordred seemingly wanted him to shut up and was yet again making threats. Perhaps the subject was too close to her heart. Alberich was still somewhat pleased. He had gathered valuable information about her now. She was hotheaded and seemingly indeed the Mordred from the stories. But a woman? Alberich couldn't imagine the books could have been wrong about that part. He could use her past against her.

Mordred. What are you after? He wanted to ask her though he was certain that her answer would be very fierce.

The woman also seemed to think she had spared his life just now. Such misplaced confidence. She had no clue who she was talking to. He was part of a noble family, not that far from a royal family alltogether. But she lacked manners. She had met Siegfried however? Yet claiming he appologizes too much? What could he possibly have appologized about. It did not make sense to him.

Moreso how could she be alive with this attitude? Siegfried must have beaten her to a pulp. It was the only explanation Alberich could think of. Still she could be of some use. Just had to have the right offer. What did the knights of Arthur desire the most? Excalibur? No. The holy grail. Alberich smirked, revealing his teeth a slight bit before letting his face assume the previous cold look to it.

"Mordred. Do you want to find the holy grail? I know how you could get it."
Alberich stopped moving as he saw Menomaru moving aside to make way for them to move. Why was he letting them pass by him? He entered first only to give up the front now?

"Mordred. Hold up. Something is not right." Alberich said and kept his eyes to Menomaru. "What are you up to?" Alberich stared at the mothman who in turn replied in an arrogant manner.

"Move." Alberich said with a dead stare at Menomaru who finally decided to move, placing him in the middle. He was seemingly not very happy about it. Upon moving on ahead, Alberich widened his eyes to the big blob moving about. He had not heard or seen such a creature before. Even with all his studies this creature was new to him.

"After you. Knight." Alberich said in a low tone as he relocated himself to the side of Mordred. Passing by Menomaru in the process.

The creature had not yet spotted them or so it appeared. Alberich was coming up with a plan on how to best approach it when it happened...

Menomaru

He gave Mordred and Alberich a not too friendly look as they came up to him, the former passing him by. The latter however didn't want to pass him. This was getting in his way. He needed to be behind them, but if he resisted his plan would be foiled. "Wouldn't you want to know? Human."

Menomaru was unable to create as many moths as he wanted to behind them. He would have to wait and unleash everything in one go. They had all gotten to the root of the problem however. Menomaru's moths were scouting ahead, some getting caught in the sticky ceiling. Some green sludgelike creature.

Some lower rank of demon. He couldn't even detect any demonic aura from it, that is how weak it was. Or so he thought. Menomaru quietly drew his sword. A natural thing to do before an upcoming battle, Alberich already had his drawn and wielded.

With his free hand he took out the sacred jewel shard he had been carrying with him for quite some time. This was a good moment to use it. He discreetly threw it over Mordred and Alberich towards the sludge. The shard itself would in turn empower whatever being that consumes it, inserts it into a weapon or into ones flesh.

"Prepare yourselves..."

To the others it may just have seemed to be a scouting thing, one of his own attacks or something which could work in their favor.

Menomaru had another battle in mind however. He began to call forth moths, quietly letting them cover the walls and passage behind them before he finally took a swift featherlight step up and in a stabbing motion with his sword aimed for Mordred's lower back, close to where her kidneys would be located.

It was not the way he would have preferred to finish her off. But it would surely at least be by his hand, and she was not a demon nor deserved the honor of dying face to face with him. He could leave the rest to this sludge thing to devour her and the boy alive. Regardless if the stab would have landed or not, he was swiftly stepping backwards past the cloud of moths now behind the group which in turn moved forth and some of them attacked Alberich seeking to impair his vision.

"To die! This place will be a suitable grave for you both! I shall tell the private goodbye from you when I run her through! Hah hahah!"

Konpaku Youmu

As the wyvern fell dead, Youmu flicked her blade to the side, scattering the blood across the ground. The half-phantom was hardly unprepared for lethal combat, but it wasn't common she engaged in it either. Still, she wasn't entirely unused to the possibility of dealing with monstrous foes. It had been given a quick death, a necessary death that was conducted in a swift fashion without giving the creature undue pain. Killing quickly and without unnecessary suffering was the way it should be done, to put it simply. That being said, as she sheathed Roukanken she realized that she had not gone completely unscathed. The creature's blood had splattered across her clothing in a long spray across her torso. This wouldn't have been much of an issue if she was back home, but here she had no change of clothing. She couldn't go walking around like this...

And then the people in vehicles appeared once more, the outside world's law enforcement. They were clearly somewhat stunned by the situation, and it only made sense. The white-haired girl suspected that the outside world rarely had to deal with threats of this nature. What kind of an incident was this? Pulling her into the outside world, then all these other people, these monsters... ah, it was kind of frustrating how little sense things seemed to make. But... now wasn't the time to dwell on that matter, she had to speak to the newly-arrived police force and it was best to try and be polite to them. After a moment, Youmu approached them and bowed.

"Hello, I am Konpaku Youmu," she began, straightening as she did, "These creatures were attacking the city, and so we acted as was necessary in order to prevent anyone from being harmed."

Mordred

"The Holy Grail, huh?" Mordred asked, glancing back over her shoulder at the guy who just wouldn't shut up. So his world knew about the Grail too. It only made sense, she guessed, given what she knew about the whole multiple universes thing. This world had to know about the Grail, given that they'd managed to write about her world as they did. So it stood to reason that more universes would also possess the legend of the Holy Grail. That being said...

"Yeah, yeah, it should be mine," the blonde knight continued, "I'm the strongest, after all! But I'll earn it myself. I'm not letting some jackass who doesn't know when to shut up get it for me."

Mordred faced forward once more, her attention now on... a slime? It was a big, ugly blobby thing. It looked like it shouldn't have put up much of a fight and didn't even seem to notice they were there, so the Red Knight stepped forward with her blade at the ready. All they had to do was kill it, right?

And then-

A blade piercing her lower back...!

The blonde knight spun on the spot, in time for a sword to scrap against her armor, sparks showering from the grating of metal on metal. There was no real thought in Mordred's actions, even as she lashed out with Clarent. But the target, the perpetrator, had already backed out of range.

"... Menomaru...!"

She didn't need to think about what was happening. The only thing in Mordred's mind was that she was going to kill Menomaru. She was going to run him through. To cut his head off. To leave him dead or dying on the floor. The method didn't matter. Punching, kicking, stabbing, cutting, as long as he was dead...!

Red lightning erupted around her body as she gave chase, crackling across her blade.

Vita

Again and again, Vita slammed her Graf Eisen down, the hammer crushing its way through the bodies of the strange attackers. What were these? At least it looked like Nanoha had taken care of whatever it was that was causing them to appear. But there was so many! Every time she had killed one, another one seemed to have sprang up in its place. But if the devices spawning them had been destroyed...

"Eisen!" she shouted.

"Raketenhammer!" her device responded, the head of the hammer spawning a rocket booster at the back, and a spike at the tip. The rocket flared, flames erupting from the back of armed device as it set the small redheaded girl spinning, launching her forward with a yell through the crowd of technicolor monstrosities. The spike tore through their bodies, shredding them apart as showers of ash scattered through the air. With each rotation, more and more bodies crumbled into black dust, crumbling to nothing as they wee pierced with the spike or sent hurtling through the air as they perished.

With the last rotation, Vita came to a halt.

Around her was nothing but ash.

Menomaru

That damn girl. She had somehow avoided being stabbed. Does she have eyes in her back or something? He did not have enough time to ponder on that idea. She was coming. He gritted his teeth.

He quickly on featherlight steps made his way out of the manhole as fast as he could, jumping forwards every now and then in a zig zag pattern to get more of a distance from the lightning crackling knight chasing him. Dashing at high speed out of the manhole with the knight still close behind him. She was fast. He could almost feel her breathing down his neck. The moths that had been placed between them had been easily destroyed aswell. Only some remained in the room with the slug like creature.

Menomaru's eyes quickly darted and looked for Minami, as he jumped up into the air and overviewed the situation. Private Minami. She would make a fine hostage while he would make his withdrawal. That fool Mordred would surely not swing her sword recklessly with an innocent such as that girl being in the way. Then it came to his realization that his plan may still work, but not in the sense he may have first thought.

Alberich

Alberich swung his flaming crystal blade before him to clear the moths out of his face and way. Mordred had rushed after that other person. Menomaru. Both of them were loud enough to surely trigger that monster in here to move for them. His decision came quickly. There was absolutely nothing to be gained fighting that monster on his own. Secondly that moth man had tried to fool him. That was to be paid back for.

Alberich ran after Mordred as fast as he could. "Wait! Mordred!"

Was this a part of that moth man's plan? To lure them- No. To lure it. He wanted them to pick who to fight and no matter which one he would come out on top of it with people dying. By his hand to boot. He was playing them. Normally Alberich would be the one to use his intellect to battle his foes, and in a sense he could respect someone using ones brain. But this guy had picked on the wrong person.

Alberich Delta Megrez, the sixteenth in the noble line. The brain of Asgard. This was unacceptable.

"He is trying to lure it to the surface! Mordred! Forget him for now! We have to stop this thing or it will tear up the city! We deal with him after!"
Alberich was not comfortable in leaving his back against the manhole. That thing was surely coming. Fighting from two sides at once would not be favorable.

He gripped his sword with both hands and held it to his side. Waiting to see what Mordred would do. If she decided to chase after the mothman he would join the pursuit or if she would stay so would he. Splitting up was not a good idea. No matter how hotheaded the knight were.

Emilio

After abit of looking around her found Vita standing about with ash all around her.

"Aha? Finished already? What a shame..." He rested his left hand at his waist still hovering mid-air.

"What's with that hat? How did you get it? Do I... know you?" Emilio tilted his head, looking Vita over with his ghostly purple eyes.

Something was gnawing at him. That hat. The skirt. The braided hair. It was someone he knew who looked just like that. Someone very close. Why couldn't he remember? The more he tried to think about it the more painful it got.

What are you doing? Don't get in my way or I have to deal with you. A voice in his head said to him.

"Who goes there?" Emilio said out to seemingly no one with a serious tone in his voice before he shook his head. There was an uneasy feeling. What was going on?

METEORA ÖSTERREICH

Well, the battle had finally come to an end. For the most part, Meteora resigned herself to stand aside, or as close to aside as possible while remaining close to Sanaki, and observe the other's behavior—perhaps even try to help the smallish empress in her attempts to negotiate with the authorities. Or so Meteora would like the others to think. In truth, the Sage of the End of the World, the most impressive mage not only of the world of the RPG Avalken of Reminiscence, but also the de facto main character of the Re:Creators anime project, the very own beautiful mage named Meteora Österreich was using her unique skills to analyze each and every one of them—recording, or rather unveiling the information contained in her magical book— at this very moment.

"... it's much better than searching the internet..."

When Meteora said those words to the spineless Souta while explaining the abilities of her grimoire, The Book of a Thousand Miles, she wasn't lying.

Anyone observing her right now would merely see Meteora lazily flipping pages of her book while using it to cover her face from the eyes downwards. Adding her hood and fidgety movements to the equation, it was unlikely that anyone who wasn't very intimate with her character design would see through Meteora's sheepish facade. Even if they did see through it, Meteora had a few tricks up her sleeve such as projecting an illusion of herself—in her civilian garments— leaving the store along with some of the onlookers that were naturally going to be dispersed by the police.

Even then, if something—like Mr. Bucket possibly recognizing her before Meteora could ascertain her thoughts on this incident— happened, it was a matter of improvising and hoping for the best. And this is exactly what Meteora did when she spoke with lower, more nasal voice as she replied to him saying, "Excuse me Sir, Metal Man, have we ever met before? I don't think I would forget a face such as yours. It certainly would have been bolted to my memory."

He made a non committed noise that could have meant anything. He had no money, no idea where they were and no idea what to do next. He was almost of a mind to have a run in with the police just to give himself some direction and purpose. In fact...

"These police... are like guards? It isn't as if we've done anything wrong unless they condone the actions of whatever demons we've just fought off. Let us simply wait here for them."

He now notice that Hibiki was quite obviously quite cold. Though was was beginning to feel the effect of using so much magic in such a short period of time he once again reached into himself and bent down to the ground, pouring the heat of Telas into it until an area around the trio radiated a pleasant heat.

Ennis stuck her hands in her pockets and leaned against a car that was still, somehow, upright. It was well past the time to leave before any law enforcement showed up. At this moment all she could rely on was luck and the fact that she hadn't done anything quite as spectacular as the others.

Inuyasha

"My name is Inuyasha." he answered the man on the other end of the "telephone". "I am a demon hunter from about five hundred years ago. I doubt you have a record of me. While I was fairly well known among demons and demon hunters, I wasn't famous enough to have tales told of me or poems written about my deeds."

Stark

Stark hit a button on the side of his helmet and it opened to reveal his face. "Nice to meet you, Empress Sanaki Kirsch Altina of the Begnion Empire." He nodded his head, the closest thing to a bow that could be properly performed while hovering in mid air. "I have experience dealing with police, if you would like me to speak with them for you. I was a hero in my world, so I got used to dealing with law enforcement."

The woman with the Empress addressed him and he looked at her. "Oh, yes, you were in the coffee shop less than an hour ago. You asked about my suit. I apologize for being rude and leaving you. I didn't know you were a mage and heard about that man down there..." he pointed to Tyr, who was looking over the scorched place where a dragon used to be. "And thought he might be from my world, so I went to find him. He's from a different world, but he's willing to help me figure out a way home, so we teamed up. I was working on Inter-dimensional Travel in my world when I found myself here. At first I thought I had accidentally sent myself here, but I don't think any of my experiments could have brought people from other worlds here. More likely, it was used as a way to target me by whoever or whatever brought us here."

Mordred

Alberich was ignored. Not only was Mordred too angry to listen, not only was she hardly about to follow his orders, but that slime thing was moving at a snail's pace. Menomaru came first. Menomaru was going to die. Reaching the manhole, the red knight swiftly sprang upwards, clearing the hole entirely as she landed on the surface. She was going to kill him. She was going to cut him down. That bastard she'd never trusted at any point, not after he tried to flood a park with poison regardless of anyone else who was there. And now he'd tried to stab her in the back like a dirty coward!

He was going to regret it. Immediately on spotting the moth bastard, Mordred raised Clarent and made right for him.

"I'll kill you!"

Meanwhile, Minami was in the van, using monitoring the situation as best she could from her position. When she heard the commotion from outside, she looked up.

Shokuhou Misaki

Misaki simply stared blankly at the older man, trying to comprehend what made staying in this carnage (that those two had made and was probably being recorded by someone somewhere) a good idea. She may have had money, but there was nothing that could compare to the amount of tax dollars that had (probably) paved the streets here. Obviously, it was not in her best interests to be jailed along with these two for wanton destruction of property...

But at the very least, the other girl seemed naive enough to maybe play it off? Mind control could only get so far, and for all intents and purposes she hadn't been involved with any of the actual killing.

The man, of course, she still had misgivings about.

Before she could think of a course of action, though, another figure seemed to float down from above. A young man who, to Misaki, looked strikingly similar to Accelerator, was casually floating down from the sky in front of them.

"Do not be alarmed. I am not here to fight you," the young man stated, a calm smile on his face as he floated down to slightly above ground level. "I should note, though, that those 'police officers' that you speak of are likely to be handling issues elsewhere. You will not find anything by simply standing by and waiting for something to happen."

"...Who are you?" Misaki asked after a few moments of silence, her eyes carefully scanning his body for any sign of hostility. "Why pick now to state such cryptic things?"

"Oh, I apologize—I should have introduced myself in the meantime. This city just brought back a multitude of memories for me, and I couldn't help but be lost in it for a while. Yes, you may call me... The Anguished One. As for why now, you ask? Well, you had handled those creatures before I did, did you not? I offer my gratitude for your actions. May I ask you for your names?"

Misaki continued to glare at The Anguished One for a moment before glancing off slightly to the side and nodding. She herself hadn't done a thing, but so long as she could obtain information, there was no reason to state that out loud right now, now was there?

"Shokuhou Misaki. I am a student a Tokiwadai Academy in Academy City... Which, to my knowledge, doesn't exist in this world," she stated, looking to the other two to see if they would follow suit. Maybe they could attempt to be a little less tactful in their pseudo-interrogation of this person...

Hinanawi Tenshi

As Nanoha fired a multitude of lights into the air, Tenshi nodded her head in approval. Of course, the obvious solution was to destroy all of these 'cell phones' at once, and what better way to do that than a spectacle of danmaku? Granted, her companion was likely not one to call that 'danmaku', but for what it was worth, the magic seemed to have done its job. There were no more of those weird enemies coming, and with Emilio and Vita having cleaned up the rest, it was probably about time to begin investigations in regards to why they appeared in the first place.

This really was an incident, it seemed, and this was the first one she was solving (as opposed to causing). To say that it was a bit odd to the Celestial wouldn't have been far from the truth, but no more than that.

"Hmm... Well, do you have any clues for as to where they came from?" she asked leisurely, crossing her arms and closing her eyes as if deep in thought before looking straight at Nanoha. "Well, I mean, aside from the fact that those 'cell phones' were the source. I don't think this place would be stable if just about everyone could make those... Things... Pop out of nowhere whenever they wanted, right?"

As that conversation was happening, a sole figure—a tall woman cloaked in white fur—quietly made her way through the otherwise-empty city blocks. An area that was, by all means, was under police quarantine (and had recently been unburdened by one less city block).

Quietly, she walked on, the scythe gleaming under the lights of the city as she walked onward.

The slime creature seemed to pause for a moment as Menomaru threw the shard into it, but in the end all it had really ended up doing was make it hasten its pace somewhat. Of course, the possibility that it could reach the ocean still existed, but there was only so much distance left to cover before it arrived and the change in pace had been so marginal that it almost didn't matter as much at this moment.

"Inuyasha, you say...?" the man replied, pausing for a moment as the sound of typing could be heard from the other end. There were a few momenta of silence before he finally began speaking again.
"Ah, now I remember why that name sounds familiar. Inuyasha, huh? Well, I can't say we didn't expect you, but I think you're going to want some explanation for as to why we're acting so nonchalant about this, so give this earpiece back to whoever gave this over to you and I'll direct him to escort you over. I'll be waiting here since speaking directly to you is much faster than... Well, this."

The soldier simply stood there, staring at Inuyasha as he waited for the apparent conversation to end

Leonardo Watch

The police officers continued to gawk, even as a few of the people in front of them had begun to attempt negotiations. That little girl who claimed to be an Empress had already addressed them it seemed (as had Youmu), but more eyes seemed to be trained on the man wearing the sci-fi suit than any of them. It was a spectacle, Leo had to admit, but...
Well, so was the giant wyvern thing lying dead on the ground right now.

Just before Leo attempted to speak up, though, a few police officers apparently reacting to a bunch of their communications devices going off at once. There were a few moments of talking (with their superiors, if the young man had to take a guess), but the mention of 'U.N.' and 'state of worldwide emergency' were not exactly the bearers of good news.

Eventually, one of the older officers—an African-American man who looked to be in his late 30s—stepped forward and shook Klaus' hand. He would have shaken Iron Man's instead, had he not been flying with the two girls off in the distance, but other than them Klaus looked to be the one with the most reasonable authority over what was essentially a bunch of teenage girls and a young man who looked straight out of college.

"On behalf of the NYPD, I, Lieutenant Michael Farrington, thank you for dealing with this threat. Collateral damage is... Obviously a concern, but right now there are some people who would like to meet with you. You know about the UN, I presume? Apparently, they're convening an emergency meeting right now, and they want you all to attend. To be quite honest, there are already rumors circulating that those dragon-things aren't the only problem that's something straight out of a game or TV show on the internet, from what I'm hearing from my officers, so you all should get moving. We can provide an escort if you'd like," he stated, glancing over at Iron Man every so often just to make sure he wasn't just dreaming right now. "My superior kept yelling at me about this being some 'unprecedented incident' and a 'global crisis', so for your sake as well as mine, could I ask if you could at least humor me here and listen to them? Given how you took those things out like they were a pair of pests, I don't think anything bar a nuke could stop you, after all..."

Some of the other policemen were already on the move in an attempt to find the bodies of their injured (or deceased) comrades in the destroyed city streets, and Leo couldn't help but feel a bit awkward about all of this. Of course, in Hellsalem's Lot no one would bat an eye to hundreds more people dying from a single event, but here, well...

Life was something that was a lot less cheap, for sure.

Menomaru

Excellent. The human girl was still around. She sat in the metal wagon they had arrived in.

Menomaru didn't waste any time and made his way over to the van, landing on the roof of it.

"Go ahead and attack me then human! If you can! Hah!" He summoned forth more moths and readied himself to jump off the van if Mordred would get close, he was goading her to attack him and possibly damage the van which Minami was inside of..

If she did not attack him the moths would render Minami uncouncious in a few moments and then he could drag her off with him. It was so easy. Too easy. The foolish girl had proven more hotheaded than Inuyasha she was springing all the traps and now it would pay off. If she jumped for him he could surely get off the roof, if she used a ranged attack she could destroy the van and the innocent human inside.

It was just in this manner he had tricked Inuyasha. She and the human boy with the flaming sword were coming for him. He knew in that instant that victory would soon be at hand.

Alberich

She wasn't listening. That meant there was only one way to do this. Alberich ran after Mordred. The mothman was going to pay for trying to deceive him. The mothman had placed himself on the van, he wanted them to attack. Alberich spotted the woman from before still in the van. So that was his plan?

Nontheless he had to get closer so he could use his Amethyst sealed attack or use his sword. Nature unity would not be ideal here. Mordred would surely attack him up close with that sword of hers. He would prepare himself to follow Mordred's attack with one of his own. But first they needed to get that damn mothman off the van. While Alberich didn't care much for the woman inside of it, if she died it would likely anger the knight even further and thus compromise his position.

Besides the girl was providing them with some intel and she had told Mordred off when she had tried to pick a fight with him. Thus she was useful to have around. Menomaru however was running out of time.

"Do you really think you can fight both of us?!" Alberich yelled as he ran.

Mordred

The Red Knight was done with words.

Before Menomaru could finish gloating over his supposed victorious position, red lightning crackled around Mordred's body and she hurled herself through the air. The moths around her were torn apart by the wave of prana erupting off of her body, as she landed firmly on the roof of the van with her free hand drawing back and curled into a fist, her armored feet denting the top of the vehicle from the impact. As the Mothman attempted to back off the roof, clearly unprepared for the knight to get there quite so fast, her fist launched foreward and struck him directly in the face with a crack! The impact sent him reeling and barely landing on his feet as he fell off.

Mordred quickly followed.

"A shameful coward who tries to backstab a knight," Mordred spat as she advanced, "Is gonna die a coward's death!"

What followed was swift and brutal.

Her first thrust was deflected, the mothman swiftly attempting to reach the van once more. Presumably to take a hostage.

Just like she expected a coward to do!

Whirling, Mordred lashed out with a shout, her blade biting through his chest before he could turn, prana flowing across the edges of the weapon as it tore clear through his body and out his back! The momentum from her thrust carried the demon upwards for a moment before she slammed him down hard enough to crater the concrete beneath them. The impact caused another eruption of red lightning, blasting an even wider, smoking hole through the moth demon's chest!

Clarent was yanked from the smoking concrete.

"Tch," Mordred flicked her blade to the side as the crackling red light faded, "Bastard."

"I am..."

He paused as if reconsidering. Not his name, but what kind of role he wanted to put forwards. Was he to be a priest of Shadow or a magi of House Dark once more or perhaps a high mage wielding the destructive might of an empire. But maybe it was wise to got back to those he had felt closest to, his comrades in arms.

"I am squad mage Quick Ben of the Bridgeburners, ninth squad of the second army of the Malazan Empire."

This individual had an air about him that presented the feeling that he considered himself to be above others, even if not maliciously. Something Ben was very familiar with.

"What action then, would you expect us to take?"

— NYC Streets —

Ennis quietly stepped up next to Klaus and turned her head to hit her mouth from the police officers. It wasn't exactly her first choice to involve herself in things here but Firo would have been the one to involve himself in whatever situation arose. After so long with him it was almost habit.

"I think that it might be prudent to gather all of the individuals together. It's doubtful that any might know each other and it would be hard to say that any single person... thing... could speak for all of them as a whole."

NANOHA TAKAMACHI

"That's not how it works normally but there are times when this can happen," Nanoha replied to Tenshi's question. "In the world, we came from," she pointed to Vita while speaking, "there are objects known as Lost Logia, like the Jewel Seeds, that can do this kind of thing to everyday items. This incident is similar to when I got my powers and met Raising Heart, Yuuno and—"

"Fate!?"

Nanoha dropped the talk as soon as she caught a glimmer of a scythe in the corner of her field of vision. She flew away from Tenshi fast enough to create a gust of wind, with excitement visible in her eyes, forgetting everything and everyone else for a minute.

"Is that you, Fa... te?" Nanoha's voice trailed out, just like her excitement, as soon as she landed beside the scythe-wielder she saw before and noticed that she wasn't Fate. For a moment, Nanoha was unable to do nothing but stand there gaping, with a beet-red face, as an unpleasant mix of disappointment and shame welled up in her chest.

METEORA ÖSTERREICH

Meteora sighed deeply, closing her book before lowering her hood. It seemed like this Stark person was even denser than Aliceteria, perhaps even worse since she noticed that he played his character straight, to the point of only thinking about himself. An egocentric, billionaire playboy who's a firm believer that might makes right was certainly going to be someone hard to work with. That is if Meteora had to work with him.

"Apologies for not being a mage strange enough for you, Mister Stark," Meteora said just before one of the police officers asked them to come to no one else other than the UN building to attend an emergency meeting. The white-haired mage was obviously surprised by this development to the point that she raised a hand and asked, "Sir Michael, right? I'm sorry for asking but are you sure that we are not going to be taken to the nearest military base or government building? That's not how I expect this incident to develop." Meteora questioned the lack of obvious cliches, wondering what could be the cause of it.
