To some, the scent of rot would have been almost suffocating. Especially so with how long it had been out in the sun. Sharp, acrid, sickly-sweet. It was the sort of scent that worked its way deep into your lungs and burned them from the inside out, pulling at the windpipes until they were taut. However, Esperanza found herself paying little thought to it as she rode for the city, the muscles of the horse beneath her visible through and past the skin. Part of it was the fact that she had been riding for a few hours now, and by this point it was just about a part of the scenery now. Part of it was the fact that this wasn’t the worst corpse she had smelled by far.

Still, that didn’t keep her from reminding herself to air out her clothes some before she entered the city itself. Esperanza was well aware that other people tended not to take to the smell of decay as well as she.

Her companion, nestled within the folds of her cloak and dozing away, was not one of those people. Although he wasn’t really a person at all, even as he spoke like one. The warmth of Chu’s fur gave a familiar sense of comfort in these unfamiliar lands, and with the one hand she chanced away from her steed’s reigns, Esp ever so gently held him ever so closer. Her best, dearest, only friend. She hoped that would change soon, however.

Upon reaching the borders of the city, she dismounted, stroking the horse on what was left of its muzzle as she did so. Some of the fur and skin sloughed away in her hand with the movement, but she stroked anyway, whispering her thanks to it. Esperanza held its head in her hands as the life she had granted it slipped away, and, slowly, its legs gave out and it laid its mangled body to rest on the earth beneath. She whispered again, a hushed, quiet prayer to Death for the safety of its soul, then stood and left it behind as she entered the city.

She wiped her hands clean with some disinfectant as she did so, of course.

As the buildings rose around her, towering, Esperanza found herself promptly gawking at everything. She was supposed to immediately find herself a place to stay and go from there, but the urge to explore was burning in her chest. Everything was just so loud, everything so new and bright and fast and fresh.

“Chu!” Face split in a wide, goofy grin, she went to plop down on one of the benches, nudging the mound within her cloak as she did so. “Chu, wake up! You must see the city with me!”

He was dozing a bit deeply, but that was fine.

Esperanza had all the time in the world, and they would explore this bright, splendid, incredible new land together.

Marcus

Marcus had been with his acute sense of smell for 27 years now. He had learned to ignore smells that were pretty common in cities. The smell of piss in the alley ways or the scent of rotting garbage on the streets didn't make him recoil in disgust anymore. Marcus had learned to block out smells like that and just dull them out at most. While he like to be able to smell Alekis' pancakes in the morning when ever he would cook for Marcus he was glad he was no longer affected by the scent of a man's sweaty balls. Rotting flesh was the one thing that still got to him. Here in the city he rarely smelled something like that. There was the occasional dead animal in the street, but Marcus was quick to ignore that. While he had traveled the world in his early years he had smelled a rotten corpse, a dead body by a creek. It had been the worst scent he had ever witnessed and wished he would never have to go through that ever again.

Rotting flesh. That's what Marcus was currently smelling. It smelled like it had been rotting over years now, the slow process of decay seemed to have been prolonged for so many years that it was almost a sweet scent. Marcus almost threw up on a passing lady wearing a white dress. He covered his nose with his hand and began to look around the busy streets but nothing stood out. The smell had been so sudden and-- gone. It was gone now.

"I know this city is filled with strange people but it's just gone now." Marcus said to himself as he began to walk towards the initial source of the smell. The only times he had witness something like that was when his sister, Aurora. Had first summoned an undead person to find her boots. He had to beg her to not do it again unless he was warned about the smell before she summoned something like that again. He was even better off with the sulfuric smell of demons.

The source of the smell took him to the edge of the city. The area didn't have any shops, most were old warehouses or lower income housing. A few people were in the street and many seemed to be going on about their day as if something rotten just hadn't been passing by. Then again, not many werewolves inhibited the city. He was the only one he k we so far.

"Now, where would a decaying fleshy rotten thing would hang out?" Marcus said as he began looking around the old worn down streets under the blazing sun.

"Well, I can't really taste it due to being a vampire and all, but I can pretend if that's alright." Price said as he stood up, but made sure to keep a good distance between himself and the human.

Juno also stood up, but walked beside the man. Coffee sounds great and since my friend said what he is, I'll say what I am as well. I'm a Neko. He said in telepathy to Alekis.

@Rodiak
Tyler wondered if she would be able to follow his finger even without being able to see and pointed to a particular aisle where the journals would be. "Right over there."

Ky wasn't sure how to answer the question at first, so he thought it over for a few minutes before something finally came to mind. "Well, I like animals or anything else having to do with nature and I just came here to look around, don't know if I'll be buying anything or not though."

It took a few more seconds of prodding and excited murmuring, but eventually, the warmth beneath Esp’s cloak stirred. A dull black glow fanned out at her like spotlights. All too human teeth glinted in what minimal light reached the inner folds of the fabric. And then Chupacabra crawled out from her neckline, yawning, and curled about Esp’s shoulders like a particularly horrifying scarf. Or a parrot that had been run over by a paint truck, been subject to terrible inhumane experiments as part of the recovering process, Frankensteined together with bits of other creatures, and then hung out to dry. Esp gave him some fond scratches under the chin as he settled, nuzzling her nose against his.

Mi bebé,” Esperanza crooned. ”Mi querido corazón.” She drew her face away, planted a kiss above his hundreds of eyes, and stood from the bench. “It is time for us to see the world.”

Chu didn’t say much in response. He tended to be far more selective with his words than when he was younger, and his voice was like the babbling of an infant instead of the silvery hum of a woman. “Esperanza,” was all he said back, before curling even closer to her shoulders and gurgling deep in the back of his throat. His mouth was still affixed in its permanent, ominous grin, but the sight was common enough that Esperanza wasn’t bothered by it.

It didn’t take long after Esperanza had left the bench for her to realize that she was completely and utterly lost.

She was dwarfed by the size of the warehouses, made insignificant by the signless concrete and constant dead ends. There was no map for her to follow, and she found herself walking around in circles more often than not. She was getting the feeling she would have to send out some of her ghosts out to scout when she came upon another person- a man- roaming around and muttering to himself. Brightening immediately, Esperanza rushed up to him, the faint scent of death hanging from her cloak.

“Hello, sir. I am sorry for bothering you, but I am new to the city and very lost. Do you know where I could be finding a hotel, or the place to stay?” Her voice was heavily accented, words choppy and awkward, but distinguishable enough. Hopefully, Esp thought, the man would be friendly.

Alekis looked over his shoulder and looked at Price. "I think names would have been just fine." Alekis chuckled softly and jumped a bit when he heard a voice in his head. He quickly turned to look at the smaller man. "I do hope you can't read minds; I do have a spell for that, so I'm not too worried about that..." He shook his head. "I'm Alekis, a wizard. Human, I'm not anything fancy or anything like that. Although I wouldn't mind being a vampire, but I do wonder if you glow or if you disintegrate under the sun." He smiled at the vampire.

"I do hope you are not blind like me, and I do hope you are not pointing." Aurora's deadpan face turned to the source of the man's voice. "Because I am blind, and if you are pointing I can't see what you are pointing at or when you say 'right over there' I would need you to lead me." She could see the shape of his body, but she couldn't see his arm. She could only distinguish large shapes and bright colors. Aurora should have asked Marcus to come with her; this was not going as well as she planned. Summoning a demon in the middle of a bookstore wouldn't be too polite either, but by the way, things were going she just might as well.

Marcus caught the scent again, this time a bit more faint but still ever-present on the streets. He turned around to look down the way he had just come from when he smelled it again, closer than before. He quickly covered his nose and turned back around to see a girl walking towards her. Was she the source of the smell? How can someone like that smell so much of death?

"Uh, hi." His voice sounded funny with his nose covered. "I'm sorry-- I can't." Marcus turned back around damned his keen sense of smell. He should ask Alekis to give him something to prevent this from happening. That wizard had to have something in his spellbook to help him with this. At least to keep him from gagging from the smell of decay and death. After taking a few breaths and getting himself used to the smell, as unpleasant as that was, he turned back around to look at the girl. "Sorry, I can smell-" he motioned the thing around her neck. "and everything else." He took another breath and shook his head. "I'm not used to it, so so sorry for looking like an ass."

After a bit of coughing, he cleared his throat. "I'm Marcus." He smiled down at the girl. "Looking for something to stay? Uh, there are quite a few hotels and motels around the city, but I recommend staying away from the east side since that's the not-so-good part of the city is. A lot of crime around that place. And it smells bad. Really bad." Marcus tried to avoid that place as much as he could. "I'm Marcus by the way, he extended his hand to the girl. "You must be new. You smell new. Didn't mean that in a creepy way. I can smell almost anything, my sister calls it a curse, but I got use to it." It was clear that Marcus liked to talk a lot and he was rather friendly to a stranger that almost made his gag.

I can, but unless a thought is about me, I try not to do that. I really only use this power for communication since I am mute in reality. Juno stated through his telepathy. And I'm Juno.

Price had been secretly worried about the human part of this guy, but then he was also a wizard. Maybe things won't be all bad. "I'm Price and I have telepathy too, but I don't use it much. Also, I can fly, but I haven't done that in a while. And I've been in the sun many times, so no. I don't glow either."

@Rodiak
Tyler apparently never dealt with a blind person before, but he felt that was no excuse for her to be rude. "You're lucky I'm working." That was all he said to her first statement. He then went silent after that before leading her to where the journals are. He just hoped she followed him. When I get off work today, I'm gonna have to look up ways to help disabled if possible. He thought as he arrived at the aisle of journals.

While interacting with people outside home may have been a bit of a new experience, it didn’t take a social butterfly to figure out that the stranger was not having the most pleasant of times right now. Esp blinked, then immediately gave the man an apologetic smile. “I am sorry. It is probably me you are smelling, and not Chu.” She fumbled in the pockets of her cloak for a moment, feeling about, before beaming and fishing out an amber vial. “Peppermint oil. It helps with the smell of corpses. You just,” she paused, squeezing out a few drops of the liquid onto her fingertips, and smearing it below her nostrils, “rub it like that, and it makes it less terrible to be smelling.” Capping the vial once more, Esperanza offered it to the stranger, scent now a mingling mix of death and mint.

And...seawater. Marcus might notice, however, that the smell of salt didn’t come from the slight woman before her, but rather the creature lying sprawled about her shoulders. Lounging in the shadows offered by Esp’s hood, Chu ran his tongue along the front of his teeth, grinning up at Marcus.

Before slowly running his tongue along the side of Esp’s face, leaving a trail of opaque grey drool that smelled oddly of melon.

Esp’s only reaction was to quickly wipe her face clear with her sleeve with the deftness of someone who had done so many times before, and then reach out to shake Marcus’ hand with her left, the nub of her missing finger passing against his grasp. “It is nice to meet you, Marcus. My name is Esperanza, but you may call me Espie or Esp if you would like.” She paused, gesturing to the creature around her shoulders. “And his name is Chupacabra, but I call him Chu. He is a very good boy.”

If Esperanza was in any way bothered by Marcus’ chatter, she showed no sign of it, smiling broadly. “I come from very far away, yes. Do you think you could be helping me find a good place to stay? I haven’t learned where everything is yet.”

"I see, so it does come in handy. I have a few spells that do the same, but only for a short amount of time but there's no mind reading." Alekis began to lead the way to the closest coffee shop. "Nice to meet you, and you too Price." He smiled at both of them. "It would have been funny to see a real sparkling vampire." He laughed a bit before Spots tugged on the leash, which made him stumble a bit. Alekis cleared his throat and began to walk faster to keep the dogs entertained.

"Now I really want to summon a demon." To law out your eyes and maybe now you'll feel what it feels to be blind and be told: "Over there." Aurora thought with a roll of her eyes and followed his voice over. How was he upset that she had to clarify that she was blind? Was the white cane not enough? The mention of braille books? The fact her eyes were almost covered in milky white color? It didn't matter anymore, all she wanted to do was buy her book and Alekis' journal and leave this stupid bookstore.

Marcus took the vial happily and rubbed some of the oil under his nose. The smell of mint was so overbearing that he lost most of the smell of death coming from Esperanza. He gave an approving hum and handed the smaller girl the vial back. He would have to go around Downtown and find something similar to use when his senses got too strong, or a dead animal was rotting in an alleyway. "Thank you," he said after taking a few more breaths of minty goodness.

Marcus finally got a good look around the thing on her shoulders. It was horrible looking and something out of a bunch of nightmares that had a big orgy and had that thing. It was also not the worst Marcus had seen. In the past, Aurora had summoned a demon from the whatever-number Hells. He couldn't describe it without having the urge to scream all over again and beg her to send it back from whatever world it had come to. Of course, Aurora didn't listen and said that it was there to clean her room while she showered. A whole thirty minutes Marus had to be with that horrifying thing in his house as it went about cleaning and folding clothes while his sister showered in the other room. She was lucky she couldn't see them-- or smell them-- like he could.

"Chupacabra? He looks nothing like one, but there again their probably not real." Marcus' father had told him stories about that monster when he was little. Aurora hadn't been around yet, but when she told him, she tried to summon a thing like it. Nothing had appeared, and that made Marcus feel better. Sure, he was a grown man but hearing stories about Chupacabras while you're a little kid is scaring. His father would always threaten him with that monster when he would ever misbehave, and that was very often. "Chu sounds like a cute name for such a weird looking creature." He leaned in closer, no longer bothered by the smell, and examined the thing.

"If you're looking for a temporary place to stay you can crash it with my sister and me. She's like you. She can summon weird smelly things too." Marcus wrinkled his nose a bit. "I bet you two would get along with that in common. Anyway, I can show you around and take you to a few hotels with a good rating if you don't feel comfortable staying with us. I know it's creepy for a guy to offer a stranger a place to crash a few minutes after meeting them, but you seem cool with the strange, and I could use some more of that oil while I look for one of my own. Oh! And I can show you around while you look for a place of your own. Do you have money too? And where are you from? Your accent sounds like my dad's when he tries to speak English, but I don't want to assume that you're from Costa Rica too."

"I see," Natalie said, nodding. "It's nice to have something you enjoy." There was not too much that was particularly interesting about Ky so far. Quite ordinary, really. Natalie was about to say more, but a nearby disturbance caught her attention. Turning to look, Natalie found the store clerk and another customer having a quarrel. Natalie briefly wondered if she should go help, but it seemed like the matter was quickly resolving itself, and she decided that there was no need to intervene.

Returning her attention to Ky, Natalie said, "I'd love to stay and chat more, but I'm afraid I must get going. Much to do today." On that note, she smiled and gently waved at Ky as she moved away, making her way over to the Science section to recheck the bookstore's stock.

"Tricky" Teka

Location: City outskirt - Train yard/warehouse

A small caravan of black cars and SVUs came rolling into a warehouse where there stood another group of cars that were waiting on the arrival of another party. The Dominovich family was about to make a deal with the Flanagan Irish Mob. A deal that would help bring a good supply of armed weapons into the city. The Dominovich, being the suppliers and the Flanagan Mob looking for purchase. With 5 vehicles coming into to park, the middle car, upon stopping, had it's doors open, revealing the leader who was anxious about scoring enough heat to battle their rivals.

The head of the Dominovich stood next to his men watching their future clients come forth to greet each other. It was the usual greeting with small talk, comments about how rough the city can be and that friends and allies are in short supply. A typical deal. Some calm, others holding a little tension as if anything was to go wrong...this deal could end in a blood bath. Of course though...if you don't want something to work smoothly...throw in a monkey wrench.

Teka was in the rafters watching these two groups after the first group's presence woke him from his slumber in that warehouse. In his mind, he would've never thought such an opportunity to cause hell would just show up right under his nose. He looked over to the nest where his baby birds laid sleeping and gently took his finger to caress the three and smirked looking down at the deal.

The lazy eyes of Teka widened at the sight of seeing the 3 crates of AK-47s along with the a brief case full of money containing 10s of thousands of dollars. Jackpot! This was all Teka needed to see. He created a small portal to fit his hand in as a second portal was formed over to opened crate of guns, grabbing one along with a magazine clip. Bringing the gun up to himself, Teka checked out the weapon and figured it was about time to cause chaos. He pointed the gun in front of him while forming another portal and the other side, there was portal that came up in a space between two members of the Flanagan Mob. Teka let loose a few shots through the portal coming out on the other end, aiming at the Dominovich leader causing him to get shot up.

"WHAT THE HELL!!" one of the Dominovich said as the other pulled their guns out while the Flanagan looked confused and before they knew it, a gun fight started. Several Flanagan members got shot while the leader took cover. Some of the Dominovich got shot up. In between this, one of the men handling the briefcase was killed, leading Teku to use the portal to come down to the shootout, grabbing the briefcase, Teka heard the hammer of a handgun being pulled back as the gunfight pretty much ended with maybe 1 or 2 Dominovich escaping and the leader of the Flanagan holding the gun to the back of his head. Let go of the damn briefcase...or you're going to die... Teka didn't look back. In a calm cool voice, Teka spoke Hm? But the briefcase is...pretty... The man pressed the gun into his head. Do you think I'm joking! Drop it or I'll blow your brains all over the floor! Teka looked out the corner of his eyes as the guy was breathing heavy and bleeding through his shirt.

How are you going to kill me when you're too busy falling? The Flanagan leader gave a confused looked before Teka swiftly gave a side kick to Flanagan's chest, kicking him through the portal when outside, you could hear Flanagan screaming, landing on top of another car that was parked, knocking him out. Well...I nearly died... Teka created a portal for the nest to fall through and to land on his hand while heading off to go into the inner city. Going through the portal, he walked smack dab into traffic with the briefcase, looking around with horns blowing at him.

How about we get a coffee cake muffin and go find some girl we can stare at creepily? He asked his birds.

Price followed from behind the human wizard, but still made sure to keep a good distance at the same time.

Juno smiled back before shifting into his cat form and hopped up on Price's shoulder.

Tyler didn't having to talk back to customers, but this blind girl was not making it easy. "Summon a demon and I'll leave you with you no help at all." He was getting a little frustrated with her, but did his best not to say anything more. Like she can actually do that.

@Scarifar
Ky had heard it too, but he wasn't one to get in the middle someone else's business unless it was a crime. A quarrel didn't seem to fall into that category. He turned attention back to girl. "Alright, see ya later." He had not realized how hungry he was till after she left. Welp, might as well leave here and get something to eat then. He went towards the exit and left the bookstore. He began looking at all the restaurants, fast food and he saw coffee shops or anything similar as places to snack. He wanted a meal though.

City
Alexander's shark side suddenly got hungry and ran into an alleyway. Probably not the best place to hide, but it'll do. He saw some dumpsters in the back and hid behind those.

Location – Ursula's Brew

@GingerBoi123 @MikkishtheLeprechaun

“One Screamin' Bean comin' right on up, handsome!” Ursula said with a lopsided grin and a waggle of her eyebrows that seemed to promise that Damien was in for a treat. She flourished dramatically and a mug came zipping through the air to land firmly in her grasp. With another overly exaggerated flourish, the appropriate coffee beans came from the overhead shelf and twirled through the air to pour themselves into a skillet. As the beans plopped into the skillet, they began to jump around, and with each jump they made a small “weee!” sound, as if excited.

She grabbed a vial of abyssal black liquid from a small fridge beneath her counter, then turned and poured the now-ready beans, now molten-orange in color, into a grinder from their skillet, their excited cacophony of “weee!” continuing even as the grinder made quick work of them. From there she placed a mesh filter over the mug in her hand, poured the beans in, and then, instead of water, poured the abyssal black liquid over the beans.

With a flash, the coffee was brewed. Molten-orange with abyssal black swirls. If one listened closely enough, they could hear the brew now saying “ahhhh!” in a low hush of seemingly excruciating pain.

“Careful now, it's one of my stronger blends. It might punch you in the face, but you seem like you're up for the challenge.” She gave him a thumbs up before noticing the customer waiting behind Damien in line. Something about the new guy made Ursula want to run, very, very far. Perhaps it was the look in his eyes? Ursula turned her attention back to Damien. “That'll be $3.25, handsome. I hope to see you around often.” She gave Damien another charming smile and turned her attention to the new customer.

“Welcome to Ursula's Brew, what can I conjure up for you today?” She said with a careful smile. She couldn't figure out why Mikkish raised her hackles so badly, but hopefully his order would go smoothly and he would vacate her store without incident. She didn't often feel this level of apprehension, even from the more dangerous Inhumans she had come across.

Esperanza took the vial back with a bright, sunshine smile, dropping it off in the same pocket she had dug it out of after making sure that it was properly capped. “It is no problem.” Her hand once again reached up to pet Chu as the man, Marcus, examined him, fingers scratching him behind the ears in a very particular spot. After a second or so of petting, Chu began to make a sort of crooning, gurgling sound. His front paws- or hands, depending on how one viewed them- which had previously been stationed, suddenly began to drum against her shoulder much in a way like a cat kneading a carpet.

“He is not the real Chupcabra. That is just what I named him. And he is a very strange boy, isn’t he?” Esp paused, then began to scratch the underside of Chu’s chin instead. “He is strange, but very handsome anyway.”

Chu didn’t seem to pay much attention to the praise, however, instead eyeing Marcus as he approached. His nostrils flared a little, catching the scent of the stranger right back-

And then he leaned forward, closing the distance between himself and Marcus to lick his face- and likely run a trail of thick saliva across it.

“Chu!” Eyes going wide, Esp took a step back, once again putting a fair distance between herself and Marcus. “I am so sorry. He is very friendly, and that is how he gets to know the people. Do not be surprised if he tries to put your hand into his mouth.” She paused, returning to her petting of the strange little monster with one hand, and using the other to pull some napkins from her pocket and offer them to Marcus.

“It is very kind of you to be offering, Marcus, but I do not want to be being the bother. I will pay for the hotel.” As she spoke, Chu began to mouth gingerly at her fingers- not using his teeth, but rather...lightly gumming them. “I would love to be meeting your sister, though! I do not know anyone here except you now, so it would be nice to be having the friends.”

Just mouthing at Esp’s fingers evidently became less than enough for Chu after a few moments, and, after some apparent deliberation on the part of the creature, he took the entire hand into his mouth and began to swallow it whole. His owner didn’t bat an eye, however, allowing him to keep on keeping on. “I have money, yes. And I came from Mexico- very far away from everyone else. It is very nice that your dad speaks the other language. Do you, too?”

Bit by bit, her wrist disappeared past Chu’s teeth. Then most of her forearm, sleeve and all.

Esperanza didn’t particularly mind.

Alekis led them to a small coffee shop named Brewed Bean. While it wasn't his favorite or the usual one he went to, it was the only pet-friendly coffee shop in the city. Seeing as he had the three pits with him and Juno in his cat form he thought of it as a good option. "I can go in and order, but I don't really want to take the dogs inside." The place wasn't really big, and three large pit bulls would take a lot of space. "Can you hold them while I order something?" He asked Price as she walked over to one of the tables set up outside. It seated four people and had a nice big umbrella that gave them shade. "They're trained, so you only have to tell them to sit, and they'll listen."

The leather wasn't too think and the cover wasn't a handcover either. It was also quite thick so it had enough pages to last a while for Alekis. "I'll take this one and the book. How much would they be?" She tucked the book and the journal under her arm before pulling out her wallet from her bag.

"I can still smell him," Marcus said as he wiped the saliva off the side of his face with his sleeve. The creature's tongue felt rough, like sandpaper, against his skin. He tried no to make a face, but he was high on hygiene and having something like that as a pet was not very clean. Especially one that could potentially swallow your whole hand like-- like it was right now.

"Uh, Esperanza while I appreciate that Chu is a friendly... animal(?) I don't think the people of the city will appreciate seeing you with your arm in his mouth. I do think you'll find a nicer hotel if you hide him too, most hotels don't have a pet-friendly policy or charge extra for animals. Some double the prize if those animals are supernatural, so I would advice to keep him hidden while we search for your hotel." Marcus really didn't mind Chu, he seemed like a laid-back creature so far, but the people of the city might not see that. He didn't want to draw attention to them.

"We'll go meet up with my sister and then start looking." Marcus didn't like leaving Aurora on her own, but she had insisted on going shopping for her book and Alekis' journal alone today. They had agreed to meet a few blocks away from the bookstore in the park. It wasn't too far away from here either, and Esperanza could get a small tour as they walked to the shop.

Marcus took one last glance at Chu before motioning her to follow him down the street. They still had to go through a few warehouses to get back to the city, but the walk there wouldn't be a very long one.

@Rodiak
"I'd be delighted." Price said happily as he took hold of dogs. He nodded at his last sentence.

Juno was always able to direct his telepathy to whoever he was currently talking to, in this case, himself while finally taking a better look at Alekis(if he hasn't gone inside already), hopefully without him noticing.

Tyler would answer her question, but didn't want to have to deal with her afterward. "That would would be 4 bucks."

"Tricky" Teka

Location - City streets

@EchoicChamber@Rodiak

Teka was casually walking through traffic, causing cars to stop to a screeching halt. Getting cursed at, Teka didn't pay any mind to it while carrying his birds in one hand and his stolen briefcase full of money in the other hand walking a few blocks humming a tune:

Walking to find a place where he could possibly sit back and relax and where there would be good coffee cake muffins, Teka looked out the corner of his eye to notice three beings. Well to be precise, he noticed the girl first. Only to see the side of her face. While he walked, it was as if, his head stayed in place, eyes glued on the female as the rest of his body delayed in stopping but when it did stop after 2-3 more steps, his body took a step or two back. Teka just stood there for a moment to stare at the girl from the side, scanning her looks and body shape analyzing if she had nice curves or not but regardless, his curiosity piqued upon the tattoos he noticed on her. She had an aura about her that seemed...not normal. Who was he kidding, the girl stood out.

Teka knew there was 2 other beings with her but was fixated on this girl. He was a few yards away from them and seeing that they were going to walk off, he created a simple portal that would put him in front of them to intercept their walking. Walking through it and suddenly appearing before the two, Teka stared at them quietly. First at the girl and then shortly at the male and.....whatever the hell this thing was with them while Teka tilted his head and stared at the creature.

Teka placed his thumb and index finger on his chin, caressing his chin to guess what the creature is. His lazy eyes were focused until his eyes widened with certainty Ah! A rectum fox!

Day 1

Location - The Park

Balance...

Truth...

Faith...

Strength...

Courage...

Awakening!

From above the town's Central Park, a boy dressed in all black dropped from the sky. His limbs were tugged up as they were limp from unconsciousness. The sound of wind blowing was the first thing that he heard. Next, was the slight opening of his eyes. He saw clouds and soon the tops of buildings. His head turned from side to side, analyzing his situation. He was falling!

In midair, he turned himself around. He was reaching tree-level at an alarming rate. With the direction he was falling in, it appeared that he was going to land into a water fountain. His mouth opened slightly ajar, but with a breath, he managed to find some composure. His arms quickly extended out to his sides, arcane energy formed at the fingertips of each hand, dramatically slowing his fall.

It was just enough for him to aim away from the fountain with his feet extended below. Dejinkken landed on a hill in the grass, tumbling a little bit down it. His landing was hard, but not destructive. A sigh of relief left him. Caught it just in time...though, this left him several questions. What was he to do on the mortal plane? What was his father's unfinished business?

Deji looked around at the nature that surrounded him, enclosed by the urban landscape. Teacher had dropped him here for a reason. Blue orbs searched around, aimlessly.

Attain Knowledge. A female voice spoke behind him, causing the lad to jump a little bit. He gazed upon Sento from his seated position from over his shoulder. It spoke to him? Attain Knowledge...? He slowly pushed himself up from the ground to start walking. The blade wasn't specific, but the first thing that came to his mind, was to at least figure out where in the mortal plane he was.

So, his journey began.

“I am sorry again. I could get you the wet wipes if you are wanting them? I do not want you to be upset.” Esperanza’s words were earnest, even as the rest of what arm Chu could reach vanished deep into his maw. At the news that such behavior from her dearest friend wouldn’t be entirely approved within the city, her face fell into a frown, looking over to him with concern.

“Oh. I did not know that people might not like that. I will put him away when we get closer to the city, I think. I do not want him to have to be hiding for too long, because he likes the sunlight.” With her free hand, Esp reached around, gently pushing against the chitinous bone on Chu’s belly. The effect was near instantaneous- with a horrible gagging, retching sound, Esp’s arm slid free of his maw, coating thickly in grey ooze.

“Good boy.” She gently stroked him along his head, then wiped herself clean with some paper as she moved to follow Marcus. “That sounds very good to me. Do you think she will be liking me?” Esp made no attempt at hiding the enthusiasm in her voice whatsoever. Why should she? Excitement was hardly something to be ashamed of. She bounded happily after her new, strange companion, and promptly stopped in her tracks as another, particularly strange man stepped out of a...something? In front of them. A portal? A rip? She wasn’t particularly sure, but,

“That was incredible!” Esp grinned. Her eyes were wide, filled with genuine wonder. “What sort of magic was that? I like your birds very much, too. I have a bird, too, but he is very angry.” She paused at the man’s declaration, giving a puppyish tilt of her head. “Rectum? That does not make any sense. Chu is Chu. He is not the fox.” She nodded. Chu, from his perch on her shoulder, laughed.

Then vomited a plush fox toy onto the concrete before them, after a series of horrendous “hck” sounds and gagging.

Black, beady eyes stared mournfully up at the sky.
