Some people haven't posted, but I think if we *include* those, we might have an even ratio. But if we only are counting accepted characters? Two Male, One Female.

NameAlicen "Alice" Priseris Stalfos
AgeEighteen
GenderFemale
OriginEpsilon, Epsilon Indi system
AppearanceJust like her abilities, Alicen appears as a run-of-the-mill girl with little of note.
Alicen does not have any strange hair color, instead having a simple hazel coloring to her lengthy hair, with her irises being of a similar tint. Her skin is free of any sort of blemishes, although it edges on the lighter spectrum due to Alicen being used to artificial sunlight throughout her youth rather than real sunlight. Regarding her height and weight, Alicen finds herself standing at 5'5'', and while she refuses to disclose her weight, she lies in the recommended range for her respective height and age. As a final note, Alicen's choice of attire is the Taiyōtawa Interstellar Piloting Academy uniform, along with a similar pilot suit when piloting a Valkyrie.
PersonalityAverage.
From childhood to her induction as a pilot among the stars, Alicen has always been considered average. Alicen was never outstanding or spectacular in any specific field, being considered second-rate her entire life. This consideration, among the calls for Alicen to drop out from the Academy, have fueled an abnormal willpower within herself. Despite a number of disappointments, Alicen sees no point in surrendering to the whims of others, even if it takes her a few tries to even reach their equal. Alicen knows she is likely not to be a name for the history books, but she is damn sure that she'll die trying her hardest.
That being said, this outlook Alicen has on life is not without its disadvantages. Whilst Alicen tries to be the best she possibly can, there are those who still look down upon her, and her competitive nature has doubtlessly strained any relationship Alicen might have. Placing Alicen with a coordinator who willfully gloats, or often has similar thoughts, will likely lead to trouble. In short, Alicen is like the younger sibling repeatedly losing at a video game because the older sibling refuses to let them win for once. Constantly "rubbing it in" is likely to lead to Alicen punching the offending individual, despite the possible disciplinary measures that may happen.
Background InformationThe Ascendant-Confederate war had placed the Epsilon Indi system in a peculiar position.
Composed of a K-type main-sequence star, a Jovian exoplanet and two brown dwarfs, the Epsilon Indi system was home to a large number of synthesizers that harnessed the gas emitted from these celestial beings. With the war raging, however, the constant need for fuel-related necessities made the system a high-priority target for both parties due to the extensive facilities it contained. Segments of the system would periodically change hands, bringing poverty and ruin to the populace as they were worked to the bone, like slaves to a foreign master. They were caught in a conflict that wasn't theirs, preferring to be left alone, yet the war would refuse to give into their wishes.
Nevertheless, life would continue on as normal, and in the year 2709 CE, Alicen was born as the second child of the Stalfos lineage. Alicen's childhood was relatively normal, minus the war outside their home, and was expected that she was to be another nameless soul working to exploit the system just like her parents and her forefathers had done so for years upon years. However, Alicen would later find out that life had other plans as she begun to near her first decade of life. During the war, a Confederate Valkyrie would crash into the station the Stalfos had called their home after a prolonged and costly battle.
The emergency shutters were quick to respond to save those that resided inside, yet not everyone came out alive. Both the impact and the previous damage from the battle had led to the Tactical Coordinator's death, however, the Physical Coordinator, Andor Nessel, had survived, albeit wounded. No one was willing to take him in, lest they be considered an enemy of the Ascendants for helping a Valkyrie pilot, yet it was the Stalfos who stood up for what was right and brought the PC to their quarters. The man was in dire need for help, and his numerous injuries had to be treated before a large amount of blood was lost.
Andor's wounds were eventually treated, but due to the seriousness of his injuries, he soon became–more or less–a permanent member of the Stalfos household. Alicen would take a great interest in Andor, who would regale her with tales of being a pilot whenever she asked. Noticing something in Alicen, Andor would take it upon himself to ask her parents for the right to teach their child what he could of being a pilot, which after some deliberation, her parents would accept. The dangers were there, but a life among the stars was a better life than in the slum-like conditions that inhabited Epsilon Indi system.
Under Andor's tutelage, Alicen would learn some of the basics of a Physical Coordinator, and of being a Valkyrie pilot. There were times when she would struggle, yet Alicen had knack for persevering, even if it took multiple tries. By her eighteenth birthday, Alicen had somewhat of an understanding of what Andor taught, but there were those that had considered his teachings useless. The war ended seven years ago, so why should he be teaching people to fight and die as heroes? Still, when a group of important individuals from the TIPA arrived in the system, Alicen would be one of the few granted a future far from the dull nature of Epsilon Indi, mainly thanks to Andor's assistance.Attributes & Other Information

@Inkarnate@Feyblue
I’ve prepared two sheets, like I said in the other thread, so I'm ready to go with either as needed. Though, if they're acceptable, I'd prefer to go with the first of the two sheets if that fits with the final roster.
<Snipped quote by Karin>Personal Dossier
NameKarin Gensu
Age19
GenderFemale
OriginSpace Station C, EZ Aquarii AC, EZ Aquarii system
AppearanceSerene and slender, Karin has graceful, almost dainty looks that belie her commanding nature. Her sharp, sepia-toned eyes tell the story, though, and they project a cool intelligence. She stands at a somewhat short 160 cm, though she won't let anyone look down on her, figuratively speaking. Her hair is black streaked with brown that is often in twintails, but she pins it up in an updo whenever she is piloting a Valkyrie.
PersonalityKarin is a collected, mature woman who keenly understands the responsibilities of her station. She takes her studies and Valkyrie simulations seriously and carries herself with dignity. Towards others, she is amiable but undeniably firm in her speech and actions, only giving due deference to her military superiors as needed. However, she is hardly cold or aloof towards colleagues. Rather, she takes a lively interest in her Valkyrie partner and other members of Project Valkyria, in the sense that they are her responsibility to look after.
Thus, Karin expects her Physical Coordinator to be less of a partner and more of a subordinate, faithfully carrying out her orders. She will brook a certain amount of disagreement, as it would be unwise not to, and she is not so arrogant as to think she will always have the right plan of action. However, she believes that she very often will, and so will rarely be dissuaded from her point of view without being thoroughly convinced otherwise. She also believes she has the intelligence to back that up on the battlefield, having taken very well to Valkyrie tactical theory and doctrine, though the rigors of piloting do take their toll on her. Naturally, she was assigned to be a Tactical Coordinator.
Her deep sense of obligation and duty comes from being having to take care of others and herself from a young age. The easiest way to get on her nerves is to dismiss or disobey her, particularly when she believes she is only looking out for the best interests of the other person involved. Occasionally, this will mean that she will insist on protecting people from themselves. But sometimes, just sometimes, this means that she can reveal a more tender, sisterly side to her, though it's a side she hasn't shown for a long time. That said, it could be that this sense of duty is what Karin uses to mask a different side to her; this side, however, she hasn't revealed to anybody.
Background InformationKarin began her life happily, born in 2708 on Space Colony C to two parents, her mother Yurin and father Oliss. They worked as station engineers, as Space Colony C was one of the many artificial space platforms built around the planet EZ Aquarii Ac to harvest water from the planet surface and generate energy from the stellar wind interactions with the circumbinary orbit of the planet, and the family enjoyed a relatively comfortable lifestyle. Soon they had another child, Karin's younger brother Toya, whom she took to taking care of, enjoying her role as a good older sister. Though the Confederacy-Ascendancy war had been raging for decades by then, the trinary stars of the EZ Aquarii system were considered relatively safe. However, as the war reached a fever pitch, more and more people were conscripted as soldiers or Valkyrie support crew for the Terra Novan government to send to the front lines. Karin's father went away for the draft and the war drew closer to home than ever.
Then, in 2717, the Confederacy launched its operation to recapture Sirius Prime, and the Ascendancy counterattacked. While the bulk of the fighting was at the second battle of Sirius Prime, the Ascendancy had launched a series of coordinated attacks and sabotages along with its main counterattack to obscure the object of their true attack and divide the Terran military's attention and resources. Space Colony C was one of those targets—agents planted for months, perhaps years beforehand suddenly carried out a violent occupation of the colony's command centers and critical facilities. The saboteurs began their attack in the middle of the day, the busiest time. Security officers clashed with saboteurs while the civilian populace attempted to evacuate to the shelters. Karin and Toya, who attended the same school, were being led away by their teachers to the shelters, but in the chaos of the attack the evacuation fell apart and the two siblings were separated from the other evacuees.
As Karin led her brother through one of the sealed thoroughfares that ringed the central hub of the station and led to the shelters, pulling him by the hand, an explosion rocked the hallway. Though it didn't puncture the station walls, it was enough to bring down parts of the ceiling. Karin saw it and swung Toya ahead at the last possible moment, throwing him away from the danger, but the debris came down on her instead. Though Toya tried to remove the debris, some had pinned Karin's ankle, trapping her. She urged Toya to run ahead to the shelter and, after initially hesitating, he reluctantly acceded. But after he went halfway down the hall, he turned and ran back. Then a second explosion rang out.
When Karin came to, she saw Toya some distance away, thrown by the explosion. He wasn't moving. It took the security officers another hour before they defeated the saboteurs and regained control of the facilities, sending personnel throughout the station to recover the wounded, one group of which freed Karin and unsuccessfully attempted to revive the unconscious but alive—at least, he had a pulse—Toya. Both were sent to hospitals and Karin was able to reunite with her mother, who had been on call until then as part of the emergency efforts to restore functionality to the station. The two of them learned of Toya's condition, that he had suffered a traumatic injury from the concussion that came with the blast wave, that he was comatose and unresponsive. Toya's mother begged the hospital to keep Karin on life support, but the costs were exorbitant. It wasn’t until a few days later that mother and son received the news that Toya's father had died in one of the many skirmishes that occurred in wake of the Confederate offensive. In recognition of his death in service, Karin's father was promoted a rank. The death gratuity and pension were enough to keep Toya in the hospital.
In the aftermath of the victory at Sirius Prime, the Terran government was emboldened to finish the war and issued another draft. This time, Karin's mother was swept into it, though she resisted as long as she could, for Karin's and Toya’s sakes. Still, she was eventually called up, and just two years after Karin lost her father, Karin's mother died in a corner of the universe in one of the skirmishes of the waning war. That the combined gratuities and pensions from Karin's two parents was enough to keep Toya alive and allow her to eke out a living was of small solace to the young girl. After that, she became a ward of the state, one of many, and lived in an institution she cared little for, but at least gave her a place.
However, when Karin she turned 18, her deceased parents’ pensions ended and so did her time at the institution. Karin knew that this was coming and had studied in preparation to attend an officer candidate school. Though there was no love lost between her and the military, there was nowhere else that would pay her enough to let her keep Toya's hospital room. At the time, she was given a certain aptitude test, though she had not known what it was testing until some time later, when she was approached by a military officer and a corporate executive. They offered her placement in Project Valkyrie and the Taiyōtawa Interstellar Piloting Academy. For the pay they offered and the concession that the military would take care of Toya, she accepted.Attributes & Other Information

NameToya Gensu
Age17
GenderMale
OriginSpace Station C, EZ Aquarii AC, EZ Aquarii system
AppearanceToya has boyish looks, as if puberty hasn’t fully kicked in yet. At 168 cm he’s none too tall, and with his slight build he’s hardly physically imposing. More often than not his black hair, though straight, is left in an unbrushed mop, with hairs still sticking out all over from a night of sleep, and it is manageable only because it is kept short. However, he constantly has a disarming, modest smile, and his eyes are honest and unassuming. One could call him demure.
PersonalityToya is steadfast, the type of person to offer a helping hand whenever one is in need. Modest, reserved, and kind, it may seem as if offering helping hands is how he spends all his time. However, regarding his personal conflicts, he has a tendency to underrate himself and simply give way when challenged, which make many consider Toya something of a pushover. His self-effacing nature does not help that judgment, though it does mean that whatever is said about Toya does not seem to particularly bother him. However, he is adamant on one point—he will pointedly refuse to allow anyone else to fight his battles or make sacrifices on his behalf, even when he readily does so himself for others.
Toya interfaces remarkably well with a Valkyrie, on par with a TC, but his indecisiveness and demurring make him unsuited for the role. This does not mean that Toya has no opinions to give; however, he will only give it when prompted to do so. However, Toya is especially fit for the rigors of piloting as a Physical Coordinator, and all indicators, including self-reports, show a remarkable tolerance for the strain of synchronization. When Synchronizing, this means that Toya will passively accept the feelings of his Tactical Coordinator partner, subduing his own will to do so. In some ways, given the right partner, this can be a remarkably efficient set-up.
It would be easy for a decent partner to cultivate an unconditional trust with Toya. However, without setting up proper expectations of what input Toya is meant to offer, this trust could easily become unreasonable, with Toya merely deferring to his partner in all things. While Toya has the potential to become a capable pilot, he relies on others for direction. Yet upon pointing out that his refusal to allow others to act on his behalf is hypocritical or other criticisms in that vein, Toya becomes uncharacteristically bristly. This could mean that Toya affects his self-effacing nature for personal reasons, though what that could be he has yet to reveal.
Background InformationToya was born in 2710 in Space Station C “Akazora”, as Space Colony C was one of the many artificial space platforms built around the planet EZ Aquarii Ac to harvest water from the planet surface and generate energy from the stellar wind interactions with the circumbinary orbit of the planet, to his father Oliss and mother Yurin, who worked as station engineers. His older sister Karin had been born two years previously, and she doted on him as they grew older. Karin and Toya, who attended the same school, were being led away by their teachers to the shelters, but in the chaos of the attack the evacuation fell apart and the two siblings were separated from the other evacuees.
As Karin led Toya, pulling him by the hand, through one of the sealed thoroughfares that ringed the central hub of the station and led to the shelters, an explosion rocked the hallway, ripping a small hole into the station walls. Immediately the bulkhead doors started to close off the damaged areas, trapping the two siblings in one of the still sealed sections. However, the saboteurs had also seized life support and had stopped any emergency functions, including rerouting air to sealed bulkheads. Though the bulkhead remained pressurized, it was also not receiving any oxygen, as the two soon learned.
Before the remaining air in the bulkhead was depleted, the two were able to obtain a chemical oxygen supply and mask from a nearby emergency compartment, still usable because the supply was self-contained. For hours, the two took turns breathing in the gas, but the battle outside continued unabated. Karin’s skin took on a pallor and steadily her lips blued until she passed out, to Toya’s shock. She had intentionally taken shallower and shallower breaths over time to leave more oxygen for Toya. Toya, too, was just out of air when suddenly air rushed into the bulkhead. The security forces had regained control of the central facilities and restarted the emergency life support systems, then began sending out personnel to recover the wounded.
Karin’s pulse was weak and she was still unconscious when the security officers brought her and Toya to the hospital. There, Toya was able to reunite with his mother, who had been on call until then as part of the emergency efforts to restore functionality to the station. The two of them learned of Karin's condition, that she had suffered from cerebral hypoxia and was unresponsive. Toya's mother begged the hospital to keep Karin on life support, but the costs were exorbitant. R y n e r“Be bold; be just!”Personal Dossier
NameRyner Aurelius
Age18
GenderMale
OriginTerra Nova
AppearanceA warm smile and a friendly aura dampen what might've otherwise been an imposing figure. Ryner stands at a height of about 6'1" and owns a lean build with fairly broad shoulders. He has a sharp chin, and he's been told on more than one occasion that he has "delinquent's eyes". His hair never seems to be taken care of, always left unkempt, and he is known to break dress code by adjusting his outfit to feel more comfortable. One might assume this means that he is not a particularly self-conscious person when it comes to appearance, but he also seems to wear gloves to hide his scarred hands, so perhaps that's not entirely true.
He would probably be considered fairly handsome were he to take more interest in better presenting himself.
PersonalityLoud, tenacious, and decisive, Ryner is a man who many will remember even after a single encounter, but not always fondly. He does his best to embody the heroes of the show he watched when he was younger. He is hardworking, not one to faulter, and certainly never one to run away from anything. He values these traits highly and expects the same of everybody else. Of course, being so rambunctious is often draining on those that surround him. Thankfully, he has more than enough energy to make up for it.
Ryner is characterized by his fondness for shouting, a strong sense of justice and his willingness to act upon it, rather than his intellect or his cunning. He can be very stubborn when he sets his mind to something, can't tell a believable white lie to save his life, and is capable of switching gears faster than the eye can blink. One would also do well to remember the word "tactful" is not in his vocabulary. And while it's easy to write him off as nothing but obnoxious, nobody should ever have doubts that his heart is in the right place, even if his mind has to catch up sometimes.
Ryner is always seeking to improve himself, though he takes a very notable interest in doing so physically rather than mentally. His inability to stop halfway on something should be noted; he'll give it his all or he won't do it at all. He has a competitive spirit and often challenges people who seem to be strong to him a contest. Whether it's a sport, an actual fight, or even something such as an eating competition -- he doesn't care, he'll put his all into it. It is his belief that friendly competition breeds friendships that can tough out even the greatest of storms.
As a hyperactive person, Ryner's hobbies are sports and exercise. He isn't very patient and has a short attention span, so books don't exactly do it for him. He can, however, sit down and watch a show or a movie. He really enjoys action films, can't stand drama, and scary movies... well, he's not a coward, okay? He is most commonly seen running, and perhaps would have been on the track team in a different life.
Aurelius is not under the impression he is perfect. He knows he has a long way to go, and he constantly criticizes himself no matter how well he might do at anything. He's a perfectionist and cannot ever please himself, but showing as much outwardly is not heroic, so he bottles it up. While he has no trouble befriending and trusting individuals, he does find it hard to confide in them or otherwise bug them with his own problems as doing so would conflict with the nature of his definition of "Hero". He is more than willing to help somebody else, however. For the most part, it should be safe to assume that he does not knowingly cause other people trouble, and that a majority of it is due to ignorance.
Finally, he's got a bit of a temper and can be led around by the nose by people willing to exploit it. When faced with an obvious injustice, cowardice, and especially when his father is brought up, he gets heated real quick. He considers the word "coward" to be the absolute worst insult you can throw at him, and reacts rather strongly to even the implication that he is such. He knows this is problematic, yet he can't seem to control himself anyways. It is one of many things he wishes to improve about himself.
Background InformationThe son of a renowned confederacy captain, Ryner's early life on Terra Nova was something to be envied. Far from the reaches of the conflict raging on, the young boy led a rather sheltered life. His earliest memories are of his excitement to watch the next episode of his favorite Super Rangers show, of exaggerated takes on Kalian Cyris' feats, and of awaiting to hear the next thing his father accomplished. These days of blissful ignorance, of idealistic hope, of happiness... they came to an abrupt end a few days before his tenth birthday, when his father, Kaiden Aurelius, become known as a deserter. The man's excuse was that he'd become terrified of the thought of dying before he could lay eyes on his daughter, who had yet to have been born at the time.
It became news anybody who was paying attention heard of. Everybody in the school he attended had made it obvious they were paying attention. From snickers behind his back, to ostracizing him, to eventually resorting to physical violence... Ryner was made to bear the sins of his father. At first, he did not respond much to the violence. He even seemed pretty submissive, but it was only a matter of time before someone called him a coward, comparing him to his father, which set ablaze his heart, and he fought back. He gained quite the temper, a reckless attitude towards physical violence, and over the years, became too much for his bullies to handle.
In this time, Ryner's relationship with his family had deteriorated. He became cold to his mother, blamed his younger sister for what happened, and resent is the prettiest word you could use to describe his feelings towards the man he once called "father". But perhaps his obsession with heroes saved him from getting too much worse. One day, a rerun of Cyris' courageous feats had aired, and watching this, Ryner became determined to be the hero his father wasn't. So, adopting a persona that was what he considered the "ideal hero", he started making his way through life again with vigor. He would stop at nothing to rid the world of any notion that he was, like his father, a coward. And one day, when approached by some important-looking people, he could only think of this Project Valkyrie as a chance.
A chance to become a hero!Attributes & Other Information
