I used to make some pretty good friends RPing. It wasn't every day, but there were a few people I stayed in contact with for years, wrote dozens of stories with, let into my real life...

Unfortunately one of them died unexpectedly in 2016, which is part of the reason why I quit RPing. I had been on hiatus more often than not up until that point, but we still texted every few weeks. I was completely blindsided by the text from his mom that he was dead, and it still fucks with my head and makes it tough for me to emotionally connect with people online. I'm getting better about it, but I haven't made any close friends since and a part of me isn't sure if I'm capable of it.

Reach out to your peeps, y'all. You never have as much time as you should.

Damn. Would've definitely gone down that road if such happened on my end, and I'm sure many could say the same. It's bittersweet, Kiwi, but at least you still hold fond memories, yeah? And hopefully you're making new ones with the folks you have now. The same goes for the ones you'll find later on, even if you're holding back a little. ^^' Best wishes either way, man.

But with that, yeah, making friends through rp's definitely the best if it happens naturally. Adds more flavor and extra fun screeching about what's going on within rp, or simply even vibing, gaming, and watching trash with them outside of it. Most of my close goobers were guys I've met on Discord, though, or... Hell, doing silly little shenanigans within custom games on Overwatch (Hush, don't judge me)! Sisters and brothers from other mothers for sure~.

I consider most people here as friends, mostly just those I interact with on a regular basis.

I made so many awesome friends on this site. Some I still talk to and some I even still see active here. Most of them are gone and it makes me sad seeing our archived chats.

Friendly acquaintances. I'm certainly open to growth into friendship and possibly something more meaningful (I have met an online buddy before and it was great!), but this sort of format only truly allows for limited friendly musings.

To me, a familial bond means I will bleed or kill for you. As much as I like the online company that I keep, if one of them ever asked for a favor of such severity, they would likely be denied.

I have made many friends from RP over the years. Some of them became really great ones and we did stuff outside of RP together as well. When two people click and have similar interests I think it is only natural that friendships are formed some stronger than others. I have found that the rp with partners I have the most OOC chat with seem to go the best. And it was during those ones that friendships got formed. It is something that can’t be forced and will come naturally if at all. Of course it isn’t everyday you make a new great friend but when you do it is so worth it. So you got to cherish the ones you do make on occasion in the moment.

In all honesty I've few friends, maybe one or two people I like talking to. I had a few people way back in my early days here, people I genuinely liked talking with. Unfortunately a LOT of people who were here six to seven years ago, a lot of people just up and left. Many who I would call friends. :l

But I learned I lost someone who I did consider one of my closest friend, I hope she rests in peace. Your friendship meant a lot to me Queen and I will always remember you fondly.

Sometimes they don't call as often as you'd like.

Others only show up when they need something from you.

But all the same, you consider them family and do what you can when they finally call.
